  • Oct 9, 2026Apache CXF's FIQL query parser has a vulnerability in how it searches for operators in query expressions.CVE-2026-86463 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.5

Apache CXF's FIQL query parser has a vulnerability in how it searches for operators in query expressions. The search pattern can get stuck trying many combinations when it encounters a long string without an operator, causing the parser to consume excessive CPU time. An attacker can send a crafted query to make the server use up CPU resources, potentially slowing down or stopping other requests. The fix was to limit FIQL expressions to 4 KiB by default, preventing attackers from sending extremely long inputs while still allowing normal queries. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.4 or 4.1.9 or 3.6.13, which fix this issue.

In OpenStack Mistral through 23.0.0, several of the v2 API write paths resolve the target object with a query that can return another project's resource, then write to it. An authenticated project member can use this to rewrite and un-publish another project's public action definitions and environments. A project administrator can create a workbook whose embedded ad-hoc action or workflow name collides with a resource of another project, which moves that resource into the caller's project and causes the original owner's subsequent updates of it to fail with server errors. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix reparse buffer bounds in cifs_query_reparse_point() In cifs_query_reparse_point(), the start >= end check before casting to struct reparse_data_buffer * only ensures the start pointer is within the response. It fails to verify that there is enough space remaining for the fixed 8-byte header of the structure. If a server provides a DataOffset that leaves less than 8 bytes remaining, the check passes, but subsequent reads of ReparseTag and ReparseDataLength will occur out-of-bounds. Fix this by ensuring the remaining space is at least the size of the reparse_data_buffer structure before accessing its fields.

Rapid7 Bulk Export MCP versions 0.2.5 through 0.6.1 suffer from a GraphQL query injection issue in the export-status component (`get_export_status` in `src/export_manager.py`), whereby the `export_id` value — an unvalidated MCP tool argument reaching the function via the `check_rapid7_export_status` and `download_rapid7_export` tools — is interpolated directly into the GraphQL query string. A crafted `export_id` containing quote and brace characters can terminate the intended `export(id: "...")` selection early and append attacker-controlled root-level selections (for example, schema introspection), producing a single well-formed GraphQL document that is then sent to the Rapid7 export API under the operator's own API key. Notably, this issue does not grant an existing actor any access they do not already have: every injected query executes within the operator's own already-authenticated API scope, using the operator's own valid API key, and cannot cross a tenant or account boundary. A directly-malicious operator gains nothing they could not already do by calling the API directly; the realistic exposure is limited to a compromised or careless upstream MCP client, or indirect prompt

Because the user-supplied regular expression is compiled into an unbounded dk.brics.automaton instance (new RegExp(re).toAutomaton()) on the request thread prior to index evaluation or access control visibility filtering, trivial queries can exhaust JVM heap or pin request threads regardless of heap size. This issue is fixed in Gerrit Code Review versions 3.12.10, 3.13.9, and 3.14.3.

Uncontrolled Resource Consumption (CWE-400 / CWE-407) in the ANTLR 3 search query parser (QueryParser / Query.g) in Gerrit Code Review versions 2.0.19 through 3.12.9, 3.13.0 through 3.13.8, and 3.14.0 through 3.14.2 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker (or an authenticated user if anonymous read access is disabled) to cause a persistent denial of service (CPU exhaustion and HTTP worker thread pool starvation requiring a server restart) via crafted search queries containing deeply nested parentheses sent to query evaluation endpoints (/changes/?q=, /accounts/?q=, /groups/?query=, /projects/?query=, /Documentation/?q=, /changes/{id}/query?expression=, or SSH gerrit query). Because syntactic predicates in conditionOr and conditionAnd recurse via conditionBase without memoization prior to capability or visibility checks and worker threads do not abort when the client disconnects, a small number of requests (such as 25 requests matching default httpd.maxThreads) can permanently pin all HTTP worker threads. • Sep 22, 2026In MISP's UsersController login() method, the pre-authentication database query used for the TOTP (two-factor authentication) verification branch did not includCVE-2026-95754 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 6.9

In MISP's UsersController login() method, the pre-authentication database query used for the TOTP (two-factor authentication) verification branch did not include the User.disabled column in its SELECT fields list. The query selected only User.password, User.totp, and User.hotp_counter. When the TOTP branch subsequently accessed $unauth_user['User']['disabled'], the key was absent from the result set, producing a PHP 'Undefined array key' warning and causing the expression to evaluate as null (falsy). As a result, the disabled-user guard in the TOTP branch was effectively a no-op: a disabled, TOTP-enrolled user could proceed to the TOTP verification step rather than being rejected at that point.  The commit message explicitly states this was 'harmless in practice' because the subsequent identify() call re-validates the user and would still reject a disabled account.  The practical security impact is therefore minimal, limited to a very small information-disclosure difference in the login response (a TOTP prompt is presented instead of an immediate rejection) and a PHP warning in application logs.

  • Sep 22, 2026In MISP, the queryEnrichment method in EventsController.php accepted a module name parameter and iterated over the list of enabled modules to find a match.CVE-2026-95674 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.3

In MISP, the queryEnrichment method in EventsController.php accepted a module name parameter and iterated over the list of enabled modules to find a match. If the specified module was not present in the enabled modules list, the code silently continued processing using default parameters (format set to 'simplified' and no module-specific configuration applied) rather than rejecting the request. This allowed an authenticated user to trigger enrichment or analysis processing through a module that was not explicitly enabled or available on the instance, bypassing the intended module availability controls. The lack of validation meant that module names outside the enabled set were not rejected, potentially exposing functionality or data processing paths that the administrator had not authorized for use.

  • Sep 21, 2026CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals.CVE-2026-61612 · Other software · ondata · reported by GitHubMedium 5.7

CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals. Prior to version 0.4.108, the SSRF guard `validateServerUrl` (added for CVE-2026-33060, extended for CVE-2026-53509) validates only the hostname string and never resolves DNS. Any caller-supplied `server_url` whose hostname *resolves* to an internal address passes the guard, so the server issues requests to loopback and cloud metadata (`169.254.169.254`). This is a third bypass of the same guard, and it reaches IMDS — strictly more than CVE-2026-53509, which only reached loopback. Version 0.4.108 contains an updated fix.

  • Sep 21, 2026Dasel is a command-line tool and library for querying, modifying, and transforming data structures.CVE-2026-62866 · Other software · TomWright · reported by GitHubMedium 6.2

Dasel is a command-line tool and library for querying, modifying, and transforming data structures. From 3.0.0 until 3.11.2, selector/lexer/tokenize.go parseCurRune advances the input index across trailing whitespace and then reads the source at the exhausted index without an end-of-input check. A selector ending in whitespace, including input passed through lexer.NewTokenizer(...).Tokenize() or dasel.Query, can therefore cause an index-out-of-range panic and terminate the process. This issue is fixed in version 3.11.2.
