  • Sep 29, 2026Issue summary: The QUIC stream reassembly algorithm performance deteriorates progressively as packets are arriving out of order.CVE-2026-42772 · Websites & servers · OpenSSL · reported by openssl-security@openssl.orgMedium 5.3

Issue summary: The QUIC stream reassembly algorithm performance deteriorates progressively as packets are arriving out of order. The worst case has a quadratic complexity proportional to the number of stream frames kept in the buffer for the received stream data. Impact summary: A remote QUIC peer that completes the handshake can create a connection-scoped CPU pressure and potentially a Denial of Service using compliant STREAM frames inside the advertised receive window, with low attacker bandwidth. CWE: CWE-407: Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity Description: OpenSSL manages received QUIC stream fragments using a doubly-linked list. While it optimizes for append operations (at the end of the list), it falls back to a head-to-tail linear search for any fragment that does not immediately follow the current `tail`. By manipulating the sequence of offsets, an attacker can force the server to perform O(n^2) operations, consuming excessive CPU time for the QUIC process. FIPS impact: no The FIPS module is not affected as the QUIC implementation is outside of the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvs: fix reversed sequence option serialization hton_seq() expects the host-order source first and the unaligned network-order destination second. The version 1 sync sender passes these arguments in reverse for both sequence blocks. This leaves 24 bytes of the kmalloc-backed message unwritten. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ring-buffer: Check resize_disabled before publishing the new subbuf order ring_buffer_subbuf_order_set() stores the new order and only then walks the CPUs, returning -EBUSY if any of them has resizing disabled. A user mapped buffer has resizing disabled, and __rb_map_vma() reads buffer->subbuf_order without buffer->mutex, so an mmap of an already mapped CPU racing the failing order change sizes the mapping with the new order and inserts pages past the sub-buffer into the VMA. Frigate is an open source network video recorder. Prior to 0.18.0, the prefix-matched location /api/go2rtc/api in docker/main/rootfs/usr/local/nginx/conf/nginx.conf requires authentication but does not require an administrator role for GET requests, exposing the proxied go2rtc API to viewer users. Browsertrix is a high-fidelity, browser-based crawling service for web archiving that can be self-hosted or used through Webrecorder's hosted instance. From 1.15.0 until 1.22.8, Browsertrix improperly sanitizes Git URLs specified as Custom Behaviors, allowing command injection through /api/orgs/*/crawlconfigs/validate/custom-behavior. A user with crawler or administrator permission on the specific instance can supply a crafted Git URL that executes arbitrary operating-system commands in the backend pod. Open registration or hosted free-trial access can make the required role broadly obtainable. Successful exploitation can expose, modify, or delete application database records, archived items, browser profiles, storage data, proxy credentials, and other configured service data. This issue is fixed in version 1.22.8.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/x86/intel/uncore: Fix uncore_box ref/unref ordering In uncore_event_cpu_online(), uncore_box_ref() was called before uncore_change_context(). uncore_box_ref() gates on box->cpu >= 0, but box->cpu is still -1 at that point because uncore_change_context() has not run yet. As a result, the box is never initialized on the first CPU to come online in a die, leaving it permanently uninitialized in the single-CPU-per-die case. Thus, box->refcnt is one count below the true value, and in the CPU offline path, the box will be torn down on the second-to-last CPU. In uncore_event_cpu_offline(), uncore_box_unref() was called after uncore_change_context(), so box->cpu is already -1 when the collector CPU goes offline, which prevents it from tearing down the box. Fix by swapping the call order in both paths so that uncore_box_{ref,unref}() runs at the point where box->cpu reflects the correct context. Move allocate_boxes() out of uncore_box_ref() to enable this reordering.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: OPP: Fix cleanup ordering Commit 173e02d67494 ("OPP: Initialize scope-based pointers inline") added initialization for all pointers. In some cases, the ordering was changed so that *opp_table was initialized after *opp. This also changes the order of the registered cleanup functions. When the cleanup happens, this can cause use-after-free errors when the last reference is released and the release function _opp_kref_release tries to access the already freed opp->opp_table. Initialize *opp_table before *opp again to fix this and ensure the correct cleanup order.

  • Sep 16, 2026Craft CMS 5.0.0 through 5.10.12 (fixed in 5.10.13) contains a broken access control flaw in the nested-elements reorder endpoint.CVE-2026-92589 · Other software · craftcms · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.3

Craft CMS 5.0.0 through 5.10.12 (fixed in 5.10.13) contains a broken access control flaw in the nested-elements reorder endpoint. When an authenticated control panel user with viewEntries and viewPeerEntries (but without savePeerEntries) opens another author's entry in read-only mode, Craft unconditionally grants that session a `manageNestedElements::<ownerId>::field:<handle>` authorization flag for the entry's Matrix/Address fields. Unlike the corresponding delete endpoint, actions/nested-elements/reorder trusts this session flag alone and never rechecks the caller's save permission for the owner element. As a result, a view-only user can POST to actions/nested-elements/reorder using the ownerElementType, ownerId, ownerSiteId, attribute, elementIds, and offset parameters present in the read-only page source and rewrite the sort order of Matrix blocks or Addresses belonging to content they are explicitly denied save access to.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio-ap: Fix missing lock required to access list of ap_matrix_mdev objects In order to traverse or add/remove ap_matrix_mdev objects in the matrix_dev->mdev_list, the matrix_dev->guests_lock mutex must be held. There are two functions that access the list without holding the mutex: vfio_ap_mdev_probe function ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The vfio_ap_mdev_probe function uses the matrix_dev->mdevs_lock mutex to guard the add of a newly created ap_matrix_mdev object to the matrix_dev->mdev_list. This mutex does not protect list access; its purpose is to guard against concurrent access to fields contained in an ap_matrix_mdev object. This could lead to kernel memory corruption or use-after-free if another mdev is created or removed concurrently. The adding of an ap_matrix_mdev object to matrix_dev->mdev_list is now guarded by the matrix_dev->guests_lock which is the correct way to protect against concurrent mdev_list access. Also removed the following two lines of code because the matrix_mdev is allocated via vfio_alloc_device macro which uses kzalloc, so req_trigger and cfg_chg_trigger are already zero-initi

  • Sep 16, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Fix init ordering in amdgpu_vram_mgr_init() drmm_cgroup_register_region() is cCVE-2026-89828 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Fix init ordering in amdgpu_vram_mgr_init() drmm_cgroup_register_region() is called before INIT_LIST_HEAD() and gpu_buddy_init() in amdgpu_vram_mgr_init(). If it fails, the function returns early and bypasses those initializations. Since adev->mman.initialized is set to true before amdgpu_vram_mgr_init() is called, a failure triggers amdgpu_ttm_fini(), which calls amdgpu_vram_mgr_fini(), which then: - Calls list_for_each_entry_safe() on reservations_pending and reserved_pages, whose list_head::next pointers are zero-initialized (NULL). The loop does not recognize them as empty and dereferences NULL. - Calls gpu_buddy_fini(), which iterates free_trees[] unconditionally via for_each_free_tree(). Since mm->free_trees is NULL (never allocated), this dereferences NULL. Both result in a kernel panic on the module load error path. Fix by moving drmm_cgroup_register_region() to after the list and buddy allocator are fully initialized, so the teardown path is safe to run.
