An unauthenticated Remote Code Execution vulnerability was found in the survey passthrough routing and Data Import processing logic, in which a malicious user could potentially exploit it by manipulating HTTP requests to access an unintended controller route from a public survey context and by supplying a crafted file-path/stream parameter during import handling. If successfully exploited, this could allow the attacker to remotely execute arbitrary code on the REDCap server. The attacker does not have to be authenticated in order to exploit this, but exploitation requires knowledge of a valid public survey hash. This vulnerability exists in REDCap 13.3.0 and higher.

  • Sep 15, 2026Outerbase Studio is a lightweight browser-based database GUI supporting PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQLite.CVE-2026-55650 · Other software · outerbase · reported by GitHubMedium 4.4

Outerbase Studio is a lightweight browser-based database GUI supporting PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQLite. In version 0.10.2 and earlier, TextComponent in src/components/chart/index.tsx renders unsanitized Text Widget content through dangerouslySetInnerHTML, allowing injected markup with script-capable event handlers to execute when the widget is displayed. Outerbase Cloud and its backend services were discontinued in 2025, and the current architecture uses local browser dashboard storage, so the impact is limited to local self-XSS. Authentication token theft, account takeover, and backend database access are not applicable to the current architecture. No fixed release is available as of this review.

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: thunderbolt: Disable work before freeing tbt on remove tbt_altmode_remove() drCVE-2026-89737 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: thunderbolt: Disable work before freeing tbt on remove tbt_altmode_remove() drops the plug and cable references without draining tbt->work. The work function dereferences those references, and can also requeue itself in its error path. The VDM callbacks can queue the same work item. Disable and drain tbt->work before dropping the references. This waits for an existing invocation and prevents subsequent schedule_work() calls from queueing it during teardown. This issue was found by an in-house static analysis tool and confirmed by manual code review.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-era: fix shadowed superblock leak on take-snap failure metadata_take_snap() bumps the live superblock refcount and then dm_tm_shadow_block() allocates a new block for the metadata snapshot. If the subsequent dm_sm_inc_block() of writeset_tree_root or era_array_root fails, the function only unlocks the clone and returns. The newly allocated shadow block is never returned to the metadata space map, so each failed take-snap permanently leaks one metadata block. Free the clone with dm_sm_dec_block() on those error paths, matching the final step of metadata_drop_snap().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/uverbs: Add UVERBS_ATTR_UHW to UVERBS_METHOD_REG_MR The original commit missed that three drivers (mthca, irdma, siw) have UHW data associated with reg_mr that cannot be passed through the ioctl. They also assume that the udata cannot be NULL, so failing to pass a valid udata can trigger a NULL udata crash in those drivers. This never happens in real systems since in rdma-core ibv_cmd_reg_mr_ex() does not accept a udata and those three drivers don't use it, however a malicious userspace could trigger it.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/uverbs: Guard legacy bundles without method_elm The legacy write() path dispatches through a uverbs_api_write_method, but the uverbs_attr_bundle passed to provider code does not have an ioctl method element. If malformed provider input causes the common uverbs validation code to emit an error message, uverbs_get_handler_fn() dereferences the uninitialized method_elm pointer. Initialize method_elm explicitly for legacy bundles and make uverbs_get_handler_fn() return NULL when no ioctl method is present. The legacy dispatcher continues to use its local write method, while the ioctl path continues to use the registered ioctl handler.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: thunderbolt: Release the Rx HopID that was handed out on mismatch tb_xdomain_alloc_in_hopid() passes the wanted HopID to ida_alloc_range() as the lower bound, so a taken id is not an error there: the allocator returns the next free one above it. tbnet_connected_work() asks for the peer's transmit path, treats any other id as a failure and returns without releasing what it got, so that allocation stays live for the rest of the XDomain connection with nothing left holding a reference to it. Release the id when it is not the one we asked for, the same way the error unwind at the end of the function releases the expected one.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: thunderbolt: Mark the connection down when bringing it up fails Every failure path in tbnet_connected_work() undoes its own work and returns without clearing login_sent, so the connection still looks established. The next tbnet_tear_down() therefore takes its main branch and repeats a teardown that already happened: it stops rings that are already stopped, which is a dev_WARN() and fatal under panic_on_warn, and it releases net->remote_transmit_path even on the HopID mismatch path, where this connection never owned that id, silently freeing one that someone else is still using. Clear login_sent on those paths. That is enough for tbnet_tear_down() to leave the unwound state alone, and login_received has to stay set: it records that the peer has logged in and carries the transmit path it gave us, which nothing on this side can make the peer send again. Two things change beyond keeping the teardown out of the way: the logout request in that block is no longer sent, and the peer's next login request now re-queues our login work rather than connected_work, giving the connection a fresh login instead of a retry o

  • Sep 11, 2026jackson-databind binds a JSON string to a javax.xml.datatype.Duration or javax.xml.datatype.XMLGregorianCalendar field by passing the raw string verbatim to DatCVE-2026-68497 · Other software · FasterXML · reported by 36c7be3b-2937-45df-85ea-ca7133ea542cHigh 7.5

jackson-databind binds a JSON string to a javax.xml.datatype.Duration or javax.xml.datatype.XMLGregorianCalendar field by passing the raw string verbatim to DatatypeFactory.newDuration(value) or newXMLGregorianCalendar(value) in CoreXMLDeserializers.Std._deserialize. These deserializers are registered by default with no opt-in, so a plain ObjectMapper or JsonMapper with no polymorphic typing and no special configuration reaches this path. The XML Schema lexical grammar permits numeric components of arbitrary length, which the JDK materializes through the native BigInteger(String) and BigDecimal(String) constructors, both quadratic in digit count. Because the digits sit inside a JSON string token rather than a JSON number token, jackson-core's StreamReadConstraints.maxNumberLength guard never applies; jackson's own NumberDeserializers call validateIntegerLength or validateFPLength before parsing a stringified number, but the XML datatype deserializer omits that pre-check. An unauthenticated attacker can therefore submit a single request of a few megabytes, such as a Duration value consisting of the letter P followed by several million digits and the letter Y, and force tens of secon

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: thunderbolt: Fix bandwidth group reservation indexing Valid bandwidth group IDs range from 1 through MAX_GROUPS, while Group ID 0 is reserved. tb_consumed_dp_bandwidth() uses the Group ID directly to index its local group_reserved[] array. The array currently has MAX_GROUPS entries, so its valid indices are 0 through MAX_GROUPS - 1. Group ID MAX_GROUPS therefore accesses one element past the end, and the final group's reserved bandwidth is not included when the array is summed. Give group_reserved[] MAX_GROUPS + 1 entries so direct Group ID indexing covers the reserved ID 0 and valid IDs 1 through MAX_GROUPS.

  • Aug 26, 2026LeafWiki extracts an uploaded ZIP archive without limiting how much data it will write.CVE-2026-80189 · Other software · perber · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1

LeafWiki extracts an uploaded ZIP archive without limiting how much data it will write. ZipExtractor.ExtractToDir in internal/importer/zip_extractor.go opens each entry and copies it to the destination with io.Copy, which runs to the end of the decompressed stream, so only the size of the uploaded archive is bounded and the size it expands to is not. The import route that reaches this code requires the Editor or Admin role, and the upload itself is capped at 500 MiB compressed. Because a ZIP entry can compress at a very high ratio, an archive well inside that cap can expand to hundreds of gigabytes as it is written out. The extraction directory defaults to a location under the operating system temporary directory, so the written data consumes the disk backing that path, which on a tmpfs-backed temporary directory is memory. A user holding the Editor role can therefore exhaust the storage the service depends on and keep it from serving, using far more resource than the upload limit alone would permit.

  • Aug 25, 2026The Zephyr ext2 filesystem driver fails to validate the s_log_block_size field of the on-disk superblock when mounting a filesystem.CVE-2026-13215 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.8

The Zephyr ext2 filesystem driver fails to validate the s_log_block_size field of the on-disk superblock when mounting a filesystem. ext2_verify_disk_superblock() in subsys/fs/ext2/ext2_impl.c checks the magic number, revision, inode size and group counts, but never bounds s_log_block_size. On a successful verify, subsys/fs/ext2/ext2_ops.c computes fs->block_size = 1024 << superblock.s_log_block_size from this attacker-controlled uint32_t, so a crafted value either overflows the shift (undefined behaviour) or yields a block size far larger than CONFIG_EXT2_MAX_BLOCK_SIZE. That block size is then passed to k_mem_slab_init() by ext2_init_blocks_slab() to carve CONFIG_EXT2_MAX_BLOCK_COUNT blocks out of the fixed static buffer __ext2_block_memory_buffer, whose size is CONFIG_EXT2_MAX_BLOCK_COUNT * CONFIG_EXT2_MAX_BLOCK_SIZE. k_mem_slab_init() does not verify that the requested blocks fit the buffer, and the ext2 wrapper discards its return value, so the slab is laid out past the end of the static buffer. The mount immediately reads block-group, bitmap and inode blocks of fs->block_size bytes each into these slab blocks, producing an out-of-bounds write into adjacent static memory on t

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: thunderbolt: Tear down DMA paths before stopping the rings tbnet_tear_down() stops both rings and frees their frame buffers before calling tb_xdomain_disable_paths(). tb_ring_stop() zeroes the ring's descriptor base and tbnet_free_buffers() unmaps and frees the pages the frames sit in, so by the time __tb_path_deactivate_hop() polls the hop's 'pending' bit, anything still in flight has nowhere to drain to. The teardown sequence has been in this order since the driver was added. The setup path has not: commit ff7cd07f3064 ("net: thunderbolt: Enable DMA paths only after rings are enabled") moved the path enable to the end of tbnet_connected_work() and documented why: /* Both logins successful so enable the rings, high-speed DMA * paths and start the network device queue. * * Note we enable the DMA paths last to make sure we have primed * the Rx ring before any incoming packets are allowed to * arrive. */ Teardown was never updated to match, so the rings and the paths now come down in the same order they go up instead of in reverse. • Aug 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: thunderbolt: Bound the DROM dual link port number before indexing sw->ports tb_drom_parse_CVE-2026-74585 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: thunderbolt: Bound the DROM dual link port number before indexing sw->ports tb_drom_parse_entry_port() validates the device-supplied header->index against sw->config.max_port_number before indexing sw->ports[], but the sibling field entry->dual_link_port_nr -- a 6-bit value also read from the DROM -- indexes the same array with no such check. A malicious or malformed Thunderbolt device can set dual_link_port_nr beyond the allocated sw->ports[] (max_port_number + 1 entries), producing an out-of-bounds tb_port pointer that is stored and later dereferenced. Reject a port entry whose dual_link_port_nr exceeds max_port_number, the same bound already applied to header->index.

  • Aug 21, 2026LeafWiki is a self-hosted wiki.CVE-2026-53529 · Other software · perber · reported by GitHubMedium 4.8

LeafWiki is a self-hosted wiki. Prior to version 0.10.2, page titles returned by the search API could be rendered as raw HTML in the frontend. A user with editor or administrator permissions could create or modify a page title containing an HTML/JavaScript payload. When another user searched for a matching term, the payload could execute in the victim’s browser. The impact depends on deployment configuration. With `--public-access` enabled, unauthenticated visitors could be affected. In authenticated-only deployments, the issue could be used for cross-user XSS against logged-in users who can access search results. The issue has been fixed in version 0.10.2 by ensuring that author-controlled page titles in search results are not interpreted as raw HTML by the browser while preserving search result highlighting.

  • Aug 21, 2026LeafWiki is a self-hosted wiki.CVE-2026-53528 · Other software · perber · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

LeafWiki is a self-hosted wiki. Versions 0.3.0 through 0.10.0 have a path traversal vulnerability in LeafWiki’s asset rename functionality. An authenticated user with editor permissions could move files that are accessible to the LeafWiki server process into a page’s asset directory. This could allow sensitive local files, such as the application database, to become downloadable as page assets. Users should update to version 0.10.1 or greater. As an additional mitigation, operators should ensure that the LeafWiki process runs with the least privileges necessary and does not have filesystem access to sensitive files outside the application’s required directories. Until a patch is applied, operators may reduce risk by restricting editor access to trusted users only and by limiting the filesystem permissions of the LeafWiki process.

  • Aug 21, 2026LeafWiki is a self-hosted wiki.CVE-2026-53527 · Other software · perber · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

LeafWiki is a self-hosted wiki. Versions 0.1.0 through 0.10.0 have a privilege escalation vulnerability in the user update API. An authenticated user could update their own account role and escalate privileges from a regular user, such as `viewer`, to `admin`. Exploitation requires a valid authenticated LeafWiki user account. Instances without public registration and with only trusted users are at lower practical risk. Users should update to version 0.10.1 or greater. Until a patch is available, operators should restrict account creation and ensure that only trusted users have accounts on affected LeafWiki instances. If possible, access to the user update API should be restricted to trusted users or administrators only.

  • Aug 20, 2026Kerberos Agent is an open source video (surveillance) management agent.CVE-2026-50192 · Other software · kerberos-io · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

Kerberos Agent is an open source video (surveillance) management agent. Prior to version 3.6.26, the Kerberos Hub upload path sends the agent's Hub credentials in the custom `X-Kerberos-Hub-PrivateKey` and `X-Kerberos-Hub-PublicKey` request headers to the operator-configured Hub URL (`config.HubURI`). The HTTP client used (`&http.Client{}` in `UploadKerberosHub`) is constructed without a `CheckRedirect` policy, so it follows HTTP redirects automatically. Go's `net/http` strips only sensitive headers (`Authorization`, `Cookie`, `WWW-Authenticate`) on a cross-host redirect; it does not strip custom headers such as `X-Kerberos-Hub-PrivateKey`. As a result, if the configured `HubURI` returns a cross-host 30x redirect, the Hub private key is forwarded verbatim to the redirect target, disclosing the credential to an unintended third party. Version 3.6.26 fixes the issue by implementing the `CheckRedirect` strip plus a cross-host regression test is provided to the maintainer through the advisory's private temporary fork.

  • Aug 19, 2026Formie is a Craft CMS plugin for creating forms.CVE-2026-52889 · Other software · verbb · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8

Formie is a Craft CMS plugin for creating forms. Prior to 3.1.27, Formie can pass request-derived Hidden field defaults such as HTTP User Agent, Referer URL, Current URL, Current URL without Query String, Query Parameter, and Cookie Value to Craft's Twig rendering layer during front-end form rendering. An unauthenticated attacker can place Twig syntax in one of these request-controlled inputs when a public form contains an affected Hidden field. Hidden::getFrontEndInputOptions() then assigns the value to defaultValue and calls renderString, causing server-side template evaluation rather than treating the request data as a plain string. Depending on the Craft site configuration and available Twig capabilities, exploitation can disclose sensitive information, modify application state, or achieve remote code execution. This issue is fixed in version 3.1.27.
