Issue summary: The OpenSSL QUIC server, when configured to not preform address validation, can be forced to count incoming packets multiple times in its unvalidated credit computation, leading to a violation of the RFC 9000 unvalidated connection amplification limit of 3 times the amount of data received. Impact summary: A remote attacker able to spoof packets to a server using the OpenSSL QUIC implementation might use the server for an amplification of a DDoS attack. CWE: CWE-440: Expected Behavior Violation Description: OpenSSL's QUIC stack, when operating as a server, enforces client address validation (RFC 9000, Section 8), to confirm the peer address is not used for a traffic amplification attack. If this feature is disabled on the server, the QUIC stack limits the amount of server data that can be sent to 3 times the amount of data received from the peer address, until such time as the TLS handshake is completed. The OpenSSL QUIC server, when operating in non-validation mode, adds the length of the whole datagram received to the unvalidated credit limit when processing each QUIC packet in the datagram. A remote peer may, after establishing a connection with an initial c

Apache Karaf's shell/SSH command security is enforced by per-scope ACL configuration files (etc/org.apache.karaf.command.acl.<scope>.cfg). SecuredSessionFactoryImpl.checkSecurity() resolves the roles required for an invocation and, when no ACL rule matches the command, fails open: ACLConfigurationParser.Specificity.NO_MATCH sets passCheck = true. The safety valve for this, karaf.secured.command.compulsory.roles, ships commented out in etc/system.properties, so an unmatched command is allowed for any authenticated user. The shipped org.apache.karaf.command.acl.config ACL (assemblies/features/standard/src/main/feature/feature.xml, mirrored into instance/.../etc/org.apache.karaf.command.acl.config.cfg) has no install entry. It restricts delete to admin, restricts edit/property-*/update on the jmx.acl.*, org.apache.karaf.command.acl.* and org.apache.karaf.service.acl.* PIDs to admin, and allows manager for everything else, but config:install was simply unmatched, and therefore allowed for any authenticated user, including one holding only the viewer role. config:install <url> <finalname> fetches url and writes it into ${karaf.etc} as finalname. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: eth: nfp: drop the replaced rule from the list when reprogramming fails nfp_net_fs_add() replaces an existing rule by deleting it from the hardware, decrementing nn->fs.count and programming the new one. If nfp_net_fs_add_hw() fails the old entry stays on nn->fs.list - only the success path reaches list_replace() - so the list is one longer than nn->fs.count, and it advertises a rule whose hardware entry has already been torn down. nn->fs.count is what ETHTOOL_GRXCLSRLCNT reports, so userspace then sizes its buffer one entry short of what the GRXCLSRLALL walk wants to write. That used to overwrite one u32 past the allocation; since the walk is bounded it is a permanent -EMSGSIZE instead, as nothing ever resyncs the counter.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Free histogram var refs regardless of how often they are referenced Using the same variable three or more times in one hist trigger leaks the variable reference and its strings when the trigger is removed. commit 656fe2ba85e8 ("tracing: Use hist trigger's var_ref array to destroy var_refs") made a trigger's var_refs[] array the only owner of a var ref: destroy_hist_field() returns early for HIST_FIELD_FL_VAR_REF, so the field expressions never destroy one. One entry, freed once, no count needed. commit 8bcebc77e85f ("tracing: Fix histogram code when expression has same var as value") then made repeated references share one object and added a count of them. Only the increment side exists, since those expressions still return early and never drop a reference, so __destroy_hist_field() sees how many references were created rather than how many are left. It frees when the decremented count is 0 or 1, so two references work and three or more leak. Sharing kept one array entry per object, and create_var_ref() searches and appends within a single trigger, so nothing outside it holds the object. Removing a tr

  • Sep 25, 2026Automation Web Platform – Notifications and OTP for WooCommerce, Advanced Country Code: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-14281 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The Automation Web Platform – Notifications and OTP for WooCommerce, Advanced Country Code plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 4.8.6. This is due to missing permission enforcement on the publicly accessible REST route `POST /wp-json/wawp/v1/signup/<op>` and the absence of a key allowlist in the `finish_registration_logic` function, which copies the attacker-controlled `wawp_custom_fields` parameter directly into `update_user_meta()` — allowing sensitive meta keys such as `wp_capabilities` and `wp_user_level` to be set by the caller. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to register a new account with the administrator role and gain full administrative access to the site. When OTP verification is enabled at signup, the OTP session token (`otp_transient`) is returned in plaintext in the HTTP response body, and the `handle_magic_link_request()` handler marks that token as verified on any unauthenticated GET request containing it without ever checking the OTP code value — making the OTP step trivially bypassable with no inbox or SMS access required.

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: NUL-terminate replaced sysctl value When writing to sysctls, proc_sys_call_handler() CVE-2026-97420 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: NUL-terminate replaced sysctl value When writing to sysctls, proc_sys_call_handler() guarantees that the buffer passed to proc handlers is NUL-terminated. If bpf_sysctl_set_new_value() replaces the pending sysctl value, it can hand a replacement buffer directly to proc handlers. However, the helper currently copies only buf_len bytes into that buffer without appending a NUL terminator, leaving downstream parsers vulnerable to out-of-bounds access. Fix this by appending a '\0' after the replaced value to restore the expected sysctl semantics. Since the helper already rejects buf_len greater than PAGE_SIZE - 1, there is always room for the extra byte. Reproduced in a QEMU x86_64 guest booted with KASAN while exercising the sysctl replacement path with a cgroup/sysctl BPF program. The reproducer targets `/proc/sys/net/core/flow_limit_cpu_bitmap`, fills the original user write buffer with non-zero bytes, and overrides the sysctl value so the replacement buffer lacks a terminating NUL. Under that setup, the pre-fix kernel reported: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in strnchrnul+0x72/0x90 Read of size 1 at ad

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: initialize DRC hash table before registering shrinker shrinker_register() precedes tCVE-2026-93211 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: initialize DRC hash table before registering shrinker shrinker_register() precedes the INIT_LIST_HEAD loop and the drc_hashsize store. On weakly-ordered architectures (arm64, ppc), a shrinker scan can observe drc_hashsize before the bucket list heads are initialized, causing a NULL deref in the DRC shrinker callback. Move bucket initialization and the drc_hashsize store before shrinker_register() so the hash table is fully initialized before it becomes visible to the shrinker.

In MISP, the CollectionsController add() method enforced the sharing-group usability authorization check and element capture only when the HTTP request method was POST. However, the underlying CRUDComponent::add() method persists data on both POST and PUT requests. As a result, an authenticated user could issue a PUT request to the collections/add endpoint, bypassing the sharing-group authorization check entirely. This allowed the creation of a collection with distribution=4 (shared with a specific sharing group) targeting a sharing group that the user was not authorized to use. The bypassed check would normally verify that the current user has access to the specified sharing group before allowing the collection to be associated with it. The security impact is that an authenticated user can place collection data into a sharing group context they do not have legitimate access to, potentially exposing that data to all members of the unauthorized sharing group and violating the intended access-control boundaries of the MISP instance. The vulnerability requires an authenticated session and knowledge of a valid sharing group identifier; no user interaction or special tooling is needed

luci-app-advanced-reboot is a LuCI (web interface) application for OpenWrt that provides a way to reboot your router into an alternative firmware partition or perform reboot operations directly from the web UI. Prior to 1.1.2-6, the luci-app-advanced-reboot read ACL in applications/luci-app-advanced-reboot/root/usr/share/rpcd/acl.d/luci-app-advanced-reboot.json grants rpcd file.exec permission for the general shell interpreter /bin/sh. An authenticated delegated session with that read ACL can supply caller-controlled params; rpcd authorizes the executable path and passes those arguments to the shell, allowing arbitrary commands to execute as root. Builds without the /bin/sh exec grant, including the checked openwrt-24.10 and openwrt-23.05 branches, are not affected by this specific chain. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.1.2-6.

gptp_handle_msg() in subsys/net/l2/ethernet/gptp/gptp.c dereferenced the gPTP header returned by GPTP_HDR() and switched on hdr->message_type without first checking that the received frame carries at least sizeof(struct gptp_hdr) (34) bytes of payload. The header accessor gptp_get_hdr() deliberately never fails for a short buffer — it returns pkt->frags->data and leaves validation to its callers — so a truncated frame produced a header pointer covering memory beyond the received data. The per-message-type checks that follow do not compensate: GPTP_VALID_LEN() reduces to len > 60 once the Ethernet header has been pulled, which is false for every fixed-size gPTP message, so GPTP_CHECK_LEN() never rejects a truncated SYNC, FOLLOWUP, PDELAY_RESP or SIGNALING message. The defect is reached by an unauthenticated peer on the same link sending an Ethernet frame with ethertype 0x88F7 to the PTP multicast address on an interface configured as a gPTP port, with CONFIG_NET_GPTP enabled. Because conformant Ethernet pads frames to 60 bytes, a payload shorter than 34 bytes generally requires a link that can deliver sub-minimum frames — for example the native_sim TAP driver (drivers/ethernet/eth_

NetBox Device Type Library is a collection of community-sourced device type definitions for import into NetBox. In the affected repository revisions, NETBOX_DT_LIBRARY_URL in tests/test_configuration.py is a free-form tracked constant that an unauthenticated pull-request author can change before the validation test harness runs. During pytest collection, tests/definitions_test.py passes the value to Repo.clone_from and create_remote("upstream").fetch(), causing blind Git smart-HTTP requests to an attacker-selected host or loading attacker-controlled tests/known-*.json validation caches. The blind request cannot set arbitrary metadata-service headers or return response bodies, and this path does not execute remote Git hooks, but substituted known data can bypass slug, module, and rack uniqueness validation. NetBox Device Type Library is a collection of community-sourced device type definitions for import into NetBox. The absence of tests/init.py and the lack of --import-mode=importlib cause pytest prepend import mode to place the tests directory at the front of sys.path during collection. An unauthenticated contributor can add a module such as tests/git.py that shadows GitPython when tests/definitions_test.py executes from git import Git, Repo, or add tests/conftest.py for automatic collection-time execution. Python imports and runs the pull-request module before any test function, allowing arbitrary code execution on the GitHub Actions runner, test-result tampering, and access to tokens or network resources exposed to the workflow. This module-shadowing path is independent of the earlier pickle deserialization flaw and the separately tracked NETBOX_DT_LIBRARY_URL issue. This vulnerability is fixed by commit b0d9a3dadd0a0a9d3c93b0b2777559fd4bad1037.

  • Sep 17, 2026NetBox Device Type Library is a collection of community-sourced device type definitions for import into NetBox.CVE-2026-54752 · Other software · netbox-community · reported by GitHubCritical 9.6

NetBox Device Type Library is a collection of community-sourced device type definitions for import into NetBox. The validation test harness can deserialize pull-request-controlled tracked pickle cache files through pickle.load in the read_pickle_data function in tests/pickle_operations.py. An unauthenticated contributor can change USE_LOCAL_KNOWN_SLUGS in tests/test_configuration.py and supply a crafted tests/known-modules.pickle or tests/known-racks.pickle file that tests/definitions_test.py loads when pytest runs. Deserialization invokes attacker-controlled object reduction behavior, allowing arbitrary code execution in the GitHub Actions runner or in a maintainer process that runs the tests, with the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of reachable resources at risk. This vulnerability is fixed with commit 1c6f7e2b93589b965318c6e67ac3504831f0e71e.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: light: gp2ap002: Fix unbalanced runtime PM on repeated event writes The IIO core does not filter duplicate writes to the event enable attribute, so writing the same value twice invokes write_event_config() twice. Enabling twice leaks a runtime PM reference, preventing the device from ever suspending again; disabling twice underflows the usage count and triggers a "Runtime PM usage count underflow" warning. Bail out early when the requested state matches the current state. While at it, switch to pm_runtime_resume_and_get() so a failed resume is propagated to userspace instead of silently marking the event enabled.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix mmap_lock leak in irq_work path stack_map_get_build_id_offset() introduced a per-CPU irq_work to defer mmap_read_unlock() from NMI context, and bpf_find_vma() later reused the same mmap_unlock_work. Both callers only check whether the work is busy before taking mmap_lock, so a nested caller can reuse the slot before the first caller queues it. Two read locks may then be acquired while only one deferred unlock runs, leaking a read lock and blocking exit_mmap(). Reserve the per-CPU slot before mmap_read_trylock(). Use the same wrapper in stackmap and bpf_find_vma() so both callers release the reservation on trylock failure. Keep rejecting the slot while the irq_work remains busy. Release it after the irq_work callback unlocks the mm.

A flaw was found in flightctl. The configureRepoHTTPSClient() function in the device-render worker builds a per-repository tls.Config (which may include InsecureSkipVerify, a custom CA bundle, or tenant-supplied mTLS client certificates) and installs it into go-git's process-global client.Protocols map via gitclient.InstallProtocol("https", ...). Because the worker renders devices for multiple organizations concurrently from a shared goroutine pool, whichever tenant's repository configuration is written last wins for all in-flight git.Clone calls. This race condition can cause one tenant's TLS settings, including InsecureSkipVerify or mTLS client credentials, to leak into another tenant's git operations.

Ash field_policies are documented to protect against filter-based information disclosure: when a field the actor may not see is referenced in a filter, it is replaced with an expression that evaluates to nil, so a filter cannot be used as a yes/no oracle to read a value the actor cannot see. This nilling was applied to attributes but not to calculations or aggregates. A user-supplied filter reference to a calculation or aggregate carries an Ash.Query.Calculation / Ash.Query.Aggregate struct, which the authorizer's reference replacement did not match (it only matched the Ash.Resource.* structs), so the filter ran against the real value. As a result, an actor whose field policies forbid a calculation or aggregate can still filter by it (for example filter(secret_calc == "x") or filter(comment_count == n)) and learn the value from whether rows match — an oracle that recovers field-policy-protected values one probe at a time. Filtering is commonly exposed to lower-privileged actors (for example via AshGraphql or AshJsonApi filter arguments), which is exactly the surface field policies are meant to protect. The fix routes filter references to calculations and aggregates through the s

Concrete CMS 9.0.0 through 9.5.2 was missing an authorization check on the Express entries advanced-search dashboard action. SpiceDB is an open source database system for creating and managing security-critical application permissions. From 1.34.0 until 1.54.0, SpiceDB can return PERMISSIONSHIP_HAS_PERMISSION instead of PERMISSIONSHIP_CONDITIONAL_PERMISSION or PERMISSIONSHIP_NO_PERMISSION because checkRequestToKey() and checkRequestToKeyWithCanonical() in internal/dispatch/keys/computed.go omit CheckHints when constructing dispatch Check cache keys. The incorrect result requires a permission combining relations with intersection or exclusion, a subject reachable through caveated and non-caveated branches, LookupResources with a context parameter running concurrently with CheckPermission or CheckBulkPermissions for the same resource and subject, and an enabled dispatch result cache. Under these conditions, a result computed for one hint set can poison the cache entry used by a semantically different authorization check, allowing permission without satisfying the caveat.
