  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rtw88: Add NULL check for chip->edcca_th in rtw_fw_adaptivity_result() It was recentCVE-2026-97516 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rtw88: Add NULL check for chip->edcca_th in rtw_fw_adaptivity_result() It was recently reported that rtw_fw_adaptivity_result() in fw.c dereferences rtwdev->chip->edcca_th without a NULL check. The issue is that devices with the 8821CE chip don't define edcca_th in their chip info. As a result, when rtw_fw_adaptivity_result() tries to dereference it, the kernel triggers an oops. Add a NULL check for edcca_th before dereferencing it in rtw_fw_adaptivity_result() in fw.c. Placing the check at the function entry avoids logging any garbage values. This change does not address the root cause for this behavior, but it prevents the NULL dereference and the resulting oops while a more permanent solution is developed. Tested on a 8822CE chip which defines edcca_th, so this issue is not present on it, but it still uses this driver and I can verify there are no regressions.

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: avoid out-of-bounds access in monitor In NAN, we don't know on what band tCVE-2026-97511 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: avoid out-of-bounds access in monitor In NAN, we don't know on what band the frame will be sent. Therefore we set info->band to NUM_NL80211_BANDS. However, this leads to out-of-bound access in ieee80211_add_tx_radiotap_header when we try to access the sbands array. Fix it by not accessing the array if the band is NUM_NL80211_BANDS. This means that we will not report rate info for legacy rate in NAN. But nobody really cares about it.

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: don't call ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure when not needed In case reconCVE-2026-97492 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: don't call ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure when not needed In case reconfiguration of NAN fails, we call ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure, that marks all interfaces as not in the driver. Then, at the error path of the reconfig, cfg80211_shutdown_all_interfaces is called to destroy all the interfaces. If we have any other interface but the NAN one, for example a BSS station, then when its state (links, stations) will be removed, we won't tell the driver about this, because we will think that the interfaces are not in the driver, and then drivers might remain with dangling pointers to objects like stations and links (at least for iwlwifi this is the case). ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure is meant to be called after we cleaned up the state in the driver, there is no reason to call it for NAN reconfiguration failure. Fix the code to just warn in such a case, as we do in other error paths in reconfig where it is too complicated to rewind.

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mld: purge async notifications upon nic error This fixes a kernel panic in CVE-2026-97474 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.4

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mld: purge async notifications upon nic error This fixes a kernel panic in reconfig failure: 1. we have a BSS connection 2. we have a NAN connection 3. FW error occurs 4. reconfig restores the BSS connection 5. however, restoring the NAN connection fails due to a FW error. 6. erroneously, ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure is called and marks all interfaces as not-in-driver (will be fixed in a different patch). 7. mac80211 frees the links of the BSS connection but doesn't tell the driver about that, as it thinks that this vif is not in the driver. 8. in ieee80211_stop_device, *ALL* wiphy works are getting flushed (erroneously?) 9. Therefore, async_handlers_wk is being executed, processing the statistics notification that was received after we restored the BSS connection. 10. the notification handler dereferences fw_id_to_bss_conf[id], which is now a dangling pointer, as mac80211 already freed this link in (7). 11. On the first access to one of the links fields, we panic. While this can and should be fixed by removing the call to ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure in (6), it is al

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: fix P2P-Device binding handling Our binding handling for P2P-Device caCVE-2026-97432 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: fix P2P-Device binding handling Our binding handling for P2P-Device can run into the following scenario, as observed by our testing: - a station interface is connected on some channel - the P2P-Device does a remain-on-channel (ROC) on that channel - the ROC ends, and the P2P-Device is removed from the binding, but the phy_ctxt pointer is left around as a PHY cache so we don't need to recalibrate to the channel again and again in case it's not shared - a binding update by the station interface, even a removal, will re-add the P2P-Device to the binding - the P2P-Device is removed, which removes the PHY context, but it's still in the binding so the firmware crashes Since the P2P device is removed from the binding and only re- added by unrelated code, but we want to keep the phy_ctxt around as a cache for future ROC usage, fix it by adding a boolean that indicates whether or not the P2P-Device should be added to the binding, and handle that in the binding iterator. That way, the station interface cannot re-add the P2P-Device to the binding when that isn't active.

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rsi: avoid reading TKIP MIC keys for non-TKIP ciphers rsi_hal_load_key() copies tx_mCVE-2026-93807 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rsi: avoid reading TKIP MIC keys for non-TKIP ciphers rsi_hal_load_key() copies tx_mic_key and rx_mic_key from data[16] and data[24] whenever key data is present. Those offsets are only part of the 32-byte TKIP key layout. Shorter keys used by other ciphers, such as CCMP, do not provide those bytes, so the unconditional copies can read past the supplied key buffer. Only copy the MIC keys for TKIP, and reject malformed TKIP keys that are shorter than the expected 32-byte layout. [drop useless length check]

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: validate assoc response length before status and IE access cfg80211_rx_assCVE-2026-93806 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: validate assoc response length before status and IE access cfg80211_rx_assoc_resp() initialises the status and response-IE fields of cfg80211_connect_resp_params from the management frame before proving that the frame is long enough for those offsets. S1G and regular association responses also have different IE offsets, but the S1G path only patched resp_ie after the unsafe initialiser had already run. Defer resp_ie, resp_ie_len, and status to after the link-iteration loop. Use a bool to remember whether the frame is S1G, then validate the appropriate minimum length and set all three fields in a single if/else block. Funnel short-frame and SME-reject cleanup through a shared free_bss label for the abandon paths.

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: validate rx/tx MLME callback frame lengths before access cfg80211_rx_mlme_CVE-2026-93805 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: validate rx/tx MLME callback frame lengths before access cfg80211_rx_mlme_mgmt() and cfg80211_tx_mlme_mgmt() call tracepoints before rejecting frames shorter than the frame-control field. After that, they only require len >= 2 before dispatching into subtype handlers that assume their fixed fields are present. The frames that trip this are not shorter than 2 bytes; they are short relative to their subtype. mwifiex is a concrete in-tree example on the length side: mwifiex_process_mgmt_packet() only requires a 4-address ieee80211_hdr plus the 2-byte firmware length prefix before handing the frame to cfg80211_rx_mlme_mgmt(). After stripping the length prefix and removing addr4, pkt_len can be exactly 24: a bare 3-address management header with no reason-code body. The existing WARN_ON(len < 2) does not fire on such a frame, and cfg80211_process_deauth() then reads u.deauth.reason_code as a two-byte access starting at offset 24, immediately past the 24-byte buffer. Add a frame-control length gate, then validate each subtype's minimum frame size in an if/else-if chain that mirrors the dispatch logic.

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: ibss: wait for in-flight TX on disconnect While leaving an IBSS in ieee802CVE-2026-93804 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: ibss: wait for in-flight TX on disconnect While leaving an IBSS in ieee80211_ibss_disconnect() mac80211 flushes stations, turns the carrier off and immediately tells the driver to leave as well. While there may be synchronize_net() in station flush and in this code later, packets can still be transmitted due to cross-CPU race conditions after carrier off is set. Therefore, it's possible for a race to happen where a TX to the driver occurs while or after telling it to leave the IBSS. This can be confusing to drivers, and in the case of iwlwifi leads to an attempt to use invalid queues. Move netif_carrier_off() to occur before sta_info_flush() during IBSS disconnect, and add synchronize_net() if flushing didn't, so that the synchronize_net() always happens between turning the carrier off and telling the driver, avoiding this race.

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: libipw: fix key index receive bound checks libipw_rx() reads skb->data[hdrlen + 3] tCVE-2026-93803 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: libipw: fix key index receive bound checks libipw_rx() reads skb->data[hdrlen + 3] to extract the WEP key index in both the software-decrypt key selection path and the hardware-decrypted IV/ICV strip path. In both places the existing guard only checks skb->len >= hdrlen + 3, which proves bytes up to hdrlen + 2 but not the byte at hdrlen + 3. Require hdrlen + 4 bytes before reading that item in both paths. This is a local source-boundary check only; it does not change the key index semantics.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: cap out-of-range rx MCS instead of leaving bogus rate ath11k can receive HT/VHT/HE frames whose reported MCS is above the maximum that can be expressed in the corresponding mac80211 rate space (e.g. an HE frame reported with MCS 12, while HE tops out at MCS 11). The frame itself is valid and decodes correctly, but for such a frame ath11k_dp_rx_h_rate() leaves rx_status->rate_idx set to the out-of-range value and never assigns rx_status->encoding, so it stays RX_ENC_LEGACY from the ath11k_dp_rx_h_ppdu() initialization. Once that frame reaches mac80211 it trips the rate sanity check and the frame is dropped with a splat: ath11k_pci 0000:03:00.0: Received with invalid mcs in HE mode 12 WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 0 at net/mac80211/rx.c:5433 ieee80211_rx_list+0xb0a/0xe90 [mac80211] Dropping the frame would discard otherwise valid data, so instead cap the reported MCS to the maximum the rate space can express and deliver the frame. Set rx_status->encoding before the range check and assign rate_idx from the capped value, so a frame with an out-of-range MCS no longer leaves partial or bogus rate metadata b

  • Sep 21, 2026The Espressif ESP-hosted Wi-Fi driver (drivers/wifi/esp_hosted/) parses frames received over SPI from the ESP co-processor in esp_hosted_event_task().CVE-2026-17054 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 5.3

The Espressif ESP-hosted Wi-Fi driver (drivers/wifi/esp_hosted/) parses frames received over SPI from the ESP co-processor in esp_hosted_event_task(). For control frames it took the 16-bit TLV field data_length straight off the wire and passed it to pb_istream_from_buffer(frame.data_value, frame.data_length) without checking it against the frame length or the receive buffer. frame.data_value sits 26 bytes into a 3188-byte stack object, so a data_length of up to 0xFFFF makes pb_decode() read up to roughly 62 KB past the end of that object. Only the first fragment of a fragmented control response carries a TLV header; the pre-fix driver performed half-duplex SPI transactions and silently discarded any frame the co-processor queued while the host was transmitting (esp_hosted_hal_spi_transfer() aliased the RX buffer onto the TX buffer). When the discarded frame is the first fragment of a fragmented response, the driver treats the next fragment as a new frame — its per-fragment header and checksum are genuine, so both validation steps pass — and reads the TLV header out of raw protobuf continuation bytes. Those bytes come from control responses whose size and content an adjacent, unaut

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211_hwsim: avoid NULL skb in stop queue drain mac80211_hwsim_stop() drops any frames left in data->pending. The loop currently checks skb_queue_empty() and then dequeues separately. That split is racy with TX status handling, which can remove a pending frame under the queue lock. If the last entry is removed after the empty check, skb_dequeue() returns NULL and the stop path passes that NULL skb to ieee80211_free_txskb(). Use skb_dequeue() as the loop condition instead. The dequeue result is the object that stop owns and frees, and a concurrent status completion that empties the queue simply makes the loop terminate.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath12k: fix dp_link_peer dangling references on AP vdev rollback ath12k_mac_vdev_create() for an AP vdev creates the bss self-peer via ath12k_peer_create(), which finishes by calling ath12k_dp_link_peer_assign() to publish the dp_link_peer in the dp_hw->dp_peers[peerid_index] RCU table, in the dp_peer's link_peers[] array, and in the per-addr rhashtable. If a step after ath12k_peer_create() fails the function jumps to err_peer_del, which open-codes a WMI peer_delete and waits for the unmap / delete_resp events. The wait_for_peer_delete_done() path relies on ath12k_dp_link_peer_unmap_event() freeing the dp_link_peer when the unmap arrives, but err_peer_del never calls ath12k_dp_link_peer_unassign() first. The published references in the dp_hw RCU table, dp_peer->link_peers[] and the rhashtable are left pointing at the dp_link_peer that unmap_event then frees, producing dangling pointers and use-after-free on subsequent lookups. Replace the open-coded sequence with a call to ath12k_peer_delete(), which already does ath12k_dp_link_peer_unassign() before sending the WMI command. This drops the published refer

The subsequent memcpy() destination advances by sizeof(full struct) per slot via C pointer arithmetic, not by the clamped len. When firmware sends short TLVs, the second and later slots are written past the end of the allocation. The reader in ath12k_pull_mac_phy_cap_svc_ready_ext() also indexes the buffer with full-struct pointer arithmetic, so the allocation must match that stride. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt76x02: do not WARN on invalid rx descriptor length The MPDU length in the rx descriptor comes from the hardware. In monitor mode with the fcsfail filter enabled, the hardware passes up corrupted frames, and a corrupted frame can report a length larger than the received buffer. The bounds check correctly discards such frames, but its WARN_ON_ONCE wrapper means any over-the-air garbage frame taints the kernel, and panics it on the first such frame when panic_on_warn is set. Drop the WARN and discard the frame silently, matching what commit c2d4c8723dbf ("mt76x2: remove some harmless WARN_ONs in tx status and rx path") did for the neighboring rx and tx status paths. Observed immediately on rx with an MT7612U in fcsfail monitor mode on a busy channel.

This can occur when zero-length frames (such as WNM NULL frames) are dropped to prevent potential hardware TX hangs. Fix this by properly releasing the skb with ieee80211_tx_status_ext() when tx_prepare_skb() fails.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: fix RX data queuing of RRO 3.0 For RRO 3.0, RX data released from a RRO data qCVE-2026-90377 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: fix RX data queuing of RRO 3.0 For RRO 3.0, RX data released from a RRO data queue should be put to the indicator queue. The frames are processed and completed in the context of the indicator queue NAPI, which only polls skbs queued on the MT_RXQ_RRO_IND list; frames queued under the data queue id are left sitting on that list until the data queue NAPI happens to run, stalling and reordering RX data.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7996: fix MLD ID in MAC TXD and HIF TXP Problem: MCU command timeout while tCVE-2026-90376 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7996: fix MLD ID in MAC TXD and HIF TXP Problem: MCU command timeout while the firmware state is normal, and the firmware keeps showing the error log "ERROR!! NO PAUSE...". Root cause: If the MLD_ID field in the TXD is neither the primary link id nor the secondary link id, it may lead to a firmware busy loop when the third link is in power saving mode. Remap frames directed to a third link to the primary link wcid. Since TX status events and txfree completions carry the wcid the firmware saw, use the remapped wcid for packet id tracking and non-AQL packet accounting as well, while the frame keeps its original link context for addressing, band and OMAC selection.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: fix non-AQL packet accounting for MLO stations __mt76_tx_queue_skb() overridesCVE-2026-90375 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: fix non-AQL packet accounting for MLO stations __mt76_tx_queue_skb() overrides the wcid passed by the driver with sta->drv_priv, so the wcid might incorrectly be changed after TX, causing wcid->non_aql_packets to be counted on the wrong wcid. For example, on the AP side, if a station's setup link is the 5G link and the station uses 2G to transmit a frame, the value of non_aql_packets is increased on the 5G wcid but decreased on the 2G wcid. Once the inflated counter exceeds MT_MAX_NON_AQL_PKT, the TX scheduler permanently refuses to service the station. Drop the reassignment and account on the wcid used for transmission. This also records the actual wcid in the queue entry.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
