In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ebtables: fix OOB read in compat_mtw_from_user Luxiao Xu says: The function compat_mtw_from_user() converts ebtables extensions from 32-bit user structures to kernel native structures. However, it lacks proper validation of the user-supplied match_size/target_size. When certain extensions are processed, the kernel-side translation logic may perform memory accesses based on the extension's expected size. If the user provides a size smaller than what the extension requires, it results in an out-of-bounds read as reported by KASAN. This fix introduces a check to ensure match_size is at least as large as the extension's required compatsize. This covers matches, watchers, and targets, while maintaining compatibility with standard targets. AFAIU this is relevant for matches that need to go though match->compat_from_user() call. Those that use plain memcpy with the user-provided size are ok because the caller checks that size vs the start of the next rule entry offset (which itself is checked vs. total size copied from userspace). The ->compat_from_user() callbacks assume they can read compats

Jun 16, 2026On Xtensa targets with CONFIG_USERSPACE and CONFIG_XTENSA_MMU, the page-table code (arch/xtensa/core/ptables.c) maintains a global list, xtensa_domain_list, of CVE-2026-10635 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.3
On Xtensa targets with CONFIG_USERSPACE and CONFIG_XTENSA_MMU, the page-table code (arch/xtensa/core/ptables.c) maintains a global list, xtensa_domain_list, of active memory domains using a list node embedded inside the caller-owned struct k_mem_domain. When a domain is destroyed via k_mem_domain_deinit() -> arch_mem_domain_deinit(), the page tables are torn down and domain->arch.ptables is set to NULL, but the domain's node was not removed from xtensa_domain_list. The freed/deinitialized domain therefore remained linked into the global list as a dangling pointer into caller-owned storage that may then be freed or reused. Any subsequent arch_mem_map()/arch_mem_unmap() operation (widely invoked by kernel memory-mapping and demand-paging code) traverses the stale node and dereferences domain->ptables: at minimum a NULL pointer dereference causing a fatal MMU exception (denial of service), and if the k_mem_domain storage has been freed or reused, a use-after-free in which a stale/controlled ptables value is dereferenced and written through during the page-table walk (l2_page_table_map writes l1_table[...] and l2_table[...], and xtensa_mmu_compute_domain_regs writes into the domain st

May 28, 2026Visualizer: Tables and Charts Manager for: Missing AuthorizationCVE-2026-8689 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The Visualizer: Tables and Charts Manager for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in all versions up to, and including, 3.11.14. This is due to a missing capability check on the renderChartPages() and uploadData() functions, where the wp_ajax_visualizer-create-chart and wp_ajax_visualizer-edit-chart AJAX actions invoke renderChartPages() without any current_user_can() check, and wp_ajax_visualizer-upload-data invokes uploadData() which also lacks a capability check and validates its nonce without an action argument, making it trivially bypassable. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to create arbitrary chart posts and access or modify chart data belonging to other users, including administrators.

May 27, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: arp_tables: fix IEEE1394 ARP payload parsing Weiming Shi says: "arp_packet_matCVE-2026-45844 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: arp_tables: fix IEEE1394 ARP payload parsing Weiming Shi says: "arp_packet_match() unconditionally parses the ARP payload assuming two hardware addresses are present (source and target). However, IPv4-over-IEEE1394 ARP (RFC 2734) omits the target hardware address field, and arp_hdr_len() already accounts for this by returning a shorter length for ARPHRD_IEEE1394 devices. As a result, on IEEE1394 interfaces arp_packet_match() advances past a nonexistent target hardware address and reads the wrong bytes for both the target device address comparison and the target IP address. This causes arptables rules to match against garbage data, leading to incorrect filtering decisions: packets that should be accepted may be dropped and vice versa. The ARP stack in net/ipv4/arp.c (arp_create and arp_process) already handles this correctly by skipping the target hardware address for ARPHRD_IEEE1394. Apply the same pattern to arp_packet_match()." Mangle the original patch to always return 0 (no match) in case user matches on the target hardware address which is never present in IEEE1394. Note that this returns 0 (

Apr 29, 2026Ollama for Windows does not perform integrity or authenticity verification of downloaded update executables.CVE-2026-42248 · Other software · Ollama · reported by cvd@cert.plHigh 7.7
Ollama for Windows does not perform integrity or authenticity verification of downloaded update executables. Unlike other platforms, the Windows implementation of the update verification routine unconditionally returns success so no digital signature or trust validation is performed before staging or executing update payloads, enabling attacker‑supplied executables to be accepted and later executed by the application. Critically, Ollama for Windows performs silent automatic updates, so the malicious payload may be installed automatically without user awareness. Maintainers of this project were notified early about this vulnerability, but didn't respond with the details of vulnerability or vulnerable version range. Versions from 0.12.10 to 0.17.5 were tested and confirmed as vulnerable, other versions were not tested but might also be vulnerable.

Apr 22, 2026Create DB Tables: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-4119 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.1
The Create DB Tables plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to and including 1.2.1. The plugin registers admin_post action hooks for creating tables (admin_post_add_table) and deleting tables (admin_post_delete_db_table) without implementing any capability checks via current_user_can() or nonce verification via wp_verify_nonce()/check_admin_referer(). The admin_post hook only requires the user to be logged in, meaning any authenticated user including Subscribers can access these endpoints. The cdbt_delete_db_table() function takes a user-supplied table name from $_POST['db_table'] and executes a DROP TABLE SQL query, allowing any authenticated attacker to delete any database table including critical WordPress core tables such as wp_users or wp_options. The cdbt_create_new_table() function similarly allows creating arbitrary tables. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to create arbitrary database tables and delete any existing database table, potentially destroying the entire WordPress installation.

Apr 13, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: x_tables: restrict xt_check_match/xt_check_target extensions for NFPROTO_ARP WeCVE-2026-31424 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: x_tables: restrict xt_check_match/xt_check_target extensions for NFPROTO_ARP Weiming Shi says: xt_match and xt_target structs registered with NFPROTO_UNSPEC can be loaded by any protocol family through nft_compat. When such a match/target sets .hooks to restrict which hooks it may run on, the bitmask uses NF_INET_* constants. This is only correct for families whose hook layout matches NF_INET_*: IPv4, IPv6, INET, and bridge all share the same five hooks (PRE_ROUTING ... POST_ROUTING). ARP only has three hooks (IN=0, OUT=1, FORWARD=2) with different semantics. Because NF_ARP_OUT == 1 == NF_INET_LOCAL_IN, the .hooks validation silently passes for the wrong reasons, allowing matches to run on ARP chains where the hook assumptions (e.g. state->in being set on input hooks) do not hold. This leads to NULL pointer dereferences; xt_devgroup is one concrete example: Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdffffc0000000044: 0000 [#1] SMP KASAN NOPTI KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000220-0x0000000000000227] RIP: 0010:devgroup_mt+0xff/0x350 Call Trace: <TASK> nf

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvb-net: fix OOB access in ULE extension header tables The ule_mandatory_ext_handlers[] and ule_optional_ext_handlers[] tables in handle_one_ule_extension() are declared with 255 elements (valid indices 0-254), but the index htype is derived from network-controlled data as (ule_sndu_type & 0x00FF), giving a range of 0-255. When htype equals 255, an out-of-bounds read occurs on the function pointer table, and the OOB value may be called as a function pointer. Add a bounds check on htype against the array size before either table is accessed. Out-of-range values now cause the SNDU to be discarded.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: release flowtable after rcu grace period on error Call synchronize_rcu() after unregistering the hooks from error path, since a hook that already refers to this flowtable can be already registered, exposing this flowtable to packet path and nfnetlink_hook control plane. This error path is rare, it should only happen by reaching the maximum number hooks or by failing to set up to hardware offload, just call synchronize_rcu(). There is a check for already used device hooks by different flowtable that could result in EEXIST at this late stage. The hook parser can be updated to perform this check earlier to this error path really becomes rarely exercised. Uncovered by KASAN reported as use-after-free from nfnetlink_hook path when dumping hooks.

A flaw was found in the GNU Binutils BFD library, a widely used component for handling binary files such as object files and executables. The issue occurs when processing specially crafted XCOFF object files, where a relocation type value is not properly validated before being used. This can cause the program to read memory outside of intended bounds. As a result, affected tools may crash or expose unintended memory contents, leading to denial-of-service or limited information disclosure risks.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: unconditionally bump set->nelems before insertion In case that the set is full, a new element gets published then removed without waiting for the RCU grace period, while RCU reader can be walking over it already. To address this issue, add the element transaction even if set is full, but toggle the set_full flag to report -ENFILE so the abort path safely unwinds the set to its previous state. As for element updates, decrement set->nelems to restore it. A simpler fix is to call synchronize_rcu() in the error path. However, with a large batch adding elements to already maxed-out set, this could cause noticeable slowdown of such batches.

Mar 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: fix use-after-free in nf_tables_addchain() nf_tables_addchain() publCVE-2026-23231 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: fix use-after-free in nf_tables_addchain() nf_tables_addchain() publishes the chain to table->chains via list_add_tail_rcu() (in nft_chain_add()) before registering hooks. If nf_tables_register_hook() then fails, the error path calls nft_chain_del() (list_del_rcu()) followed by nf_tables_chain_destroy() with no RCU grace period in between. This creates two use-after-free conditions: 1) Control-plane: nf_tables_dump_chains() traverses table->chains under rcu_read_lock(). A concurrent dump can still be walking the chain when the error path frees it. 2) Packet path: for NFPROTO_INET, nf_register_net_hook() briefly installs the IPv4 hook before IPv6 registration fails. Packets entering nft_do_chain() via the transient IPv4 hook can still be dereferencing chain->blob_gen_X when the error path frees the chain. Add synchronize_rcu() between nft_chain_del() and the chain destroy so that all RCU readers -- both dump threads and in-flight packet evaluation -- have finished before the chain is freed.

The Tablesome Table – Contact Form DB – WPForms, CF7, Gravity, Forminator, Fluent plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access of data that leads to privilege escalation due to a missing capability check on the get_table_data() function in versions 0.5.4 to 1.2.1. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to retrieve plugin table data that can expose email log information. Attackers can leverage this on sites where the table log is enabled in order to trigger a password reset and obtain the reset key.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: fix inverted genmask check in nft_map_catchall_activate() nft_map_catchall_activate() has an inverted element activity check compared to its non-catchall counterpart nft_mapelem_activate() and compared to what is logically required. nft_map_catchall_activate() is called from the abort path to re-activate catchall map elements that were deactivated during a failed transaction. It should skip elements that are already active (they don't need re-activation) and process elements that are inactive (they need to be restored). Instead, the current code does the opposite: it skips inactive elements and processes active ones. Compare the non-catchall activate callback, which is correct: nft_mapelem_activate(): if (nft_set_elem_active(ext, iter->genmask)) return 0; /* skip active, process inactive */ With the buggy catchall version: nft_map_catchall_activate(): if (!nft_set_elem_active(ext, genmask)) continue; /* skip inactive, process active */ The consequence is that when a DELSET operation is aborted, nft_setelem_data_activate() is never called for the catchall
