  • Aug 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: max17040: handle missing status supplier MAX17040 does not report charger sCVE-2026-80711 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: max17040: handle missing status supplier MAX17040 does not report charger state itself, so the driver forwards POWER_SUPPLY_PROP_STATUS to a supplier power supply. If no supplier is registered, power_supply_get_property_from_supplier() returns -ENODEV and leaves the output value untouched. max17040_get_property() currently ignores that error and returns success, so userspace can read an uninitialized status value from the battery power supply. This happens on systems that use the fuel gauge without a charger supplier relationship in firmware. Return POWER_SUPPLY_STATUS_UNKNOWN when no supplier provides STATUS, and propagate other supplier lookup errors.

  • Aug 24, 2026Horde IMP's AppleDouble MIME viewer writes an attacker-controlled attachment name into an HTML status block without escaping it.CVE-2026-65053 · Other software · horde · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.1

Horde IMP's AppleDouble MIME viewer writes an attacker-controlled attachment name into an HTML status block without escaping it. In lib/Mime/Viewer/Appledouble.php, _IMPrender() obtains the name of the data part with IMP_Contents::getPartName(), which returns the MIME part's own name parameter as supplied by the message, and passes it through sprintf into the text of an IMP_Mime_Status object. IMP_Mime_Status::__toString() concatenates each text entry directly into the surrounding table markup, so the value reaches the rendered page verbatim. A message crafted as multipart/appledouble whose data part carries markup in its name parameter therefore executes script in the context of any user who views it, and the payload persists in the mailbox. Exploitation requires no account on the target system, only the ability to send mail to a user. Version 7.2.0 escapes the value with htmlspecialchars(). The researcher additionally chains this flaw with the arbitrary file read of CVE-2026-58451, and reports that script running in an administrator's session can reach an application code-execution path.

  • Aug 24, 2026RansomLook fails to enforce the privacy status of ransomware groups and markets when distributing newly collected victim posts to external notification channelsCVE-2026-78380 · Other software · ransomlook · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 8.7

RansomLook fails to enforce the privacy status of ransomware groups and markets when distributing newly collected victim posts to external notification channels. The post-processing logic checks whether an individual post is marked private but does not verify whether the group or market to which the post belongs is configured as private. As a result, newly parsed victim information associated with a private group or market may be automatically published through enabled Rocket.Chat, Mastodon, Bluesky, and e-mail notification channels despite the entity being explicitly configured to prevent public disclosure. A similar issue affects the public MISP feed. The feed previously determined privacy using groupinfo(), which only queries the group database. Consequently, victim information associated with private markets could be added to the public MISP feed because the corresponding market privacy flag was not evaluated. An attacker or other unauthorized party able to access these public notification channels or the MISP feed may obtain victim information that was intended to remain private. Depending on the collected data, this may disclose victim names, ransomware activity, incident

  • Aug 18, 2026A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was found in AWX's webhook status callback mechanism.CVE-2026-71365 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.7

A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was found in AWX's webhook status callback mechanism. When processing GitHub pull request webhooks, AWX extracts the status callback URL (pull_request.statuses_url) from the incoming webhook payload without validating the target host against the expected Git provider. This URL is persisted in job extra variables and later used to send authenticated status updates. A user with admin role on a webhook-enabled job template can read the template's webhook signing key, forge a signed GitHub webhook payload with an arbitrary statuses_url, and cause AWX to POST status updates to an attacker-controlled or internal URL. The status update request includes the configured Git Personal Access Token (PAT) in the Authorization header, resulting in credential leakage to the attacker-specified endpoint.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: fix stack info leak in RME Digiface status snd_rme_digiface_read_status() reads a four-word status block from the device into an uninitialised on-stack __le32 buf[4] and, whenever the vendor control-IN transfer does not return a negative error, copies all four words into the caller's status[]. snd_usb_ctl_msg() copies the full requested size back into the caller's buffer regardless of how many bytes the data stage actually delivered: buf = kmemdup(data, size, GFP_KERNEL); err = usb_control_msg(dev, pipe, request, requesttype, value, index, buf, size, timeout); memcpy(data, buf, size); usb_control_msg() returns the transferred length on a short control-IN, which is a non-negative value, and writes only that many bytes. The remainder of the copy back is the kmemdup()ed image of the caller's buffer, so a device answering with a short data stage leaves the trailing words of buf[] holding leftover kernel stack. The only guard in the caller is err < 0, so those words are stored into status[]. They then reach user space: snd_rme_digiface_get_status_val() selects a 16-bit halfword of st

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: uvcvideo: Fix deadlock if uvc_status_stop is called from async_ctrl.work If a UVC camera has an asynchronous control, uvc_status_stop may be called from async_ctrl.work: uvc_ctrl_status_event_work() uvc_ctrl_status_event() uvc_ctrl_clear_handle() uvc_pm_put() uvc_status_put() uvc_status_stop() cancel_work_sync() This will cause a deadlock, since cancel_work_sync will wait for uvc_ctrl_status_event_work to complete before returning. Fix this by returning early from uvc_status_stop if we are currently in the work function. flush_status now remains false until uvc_status_start is called again, ensuring that uvc_ctrl_status_event_work won't resubmit the URB.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: serial: io_edgeport: cap received transmit credits The interrupt-status packet reports transmit credits returned by the device. edge_interrupt_callback() adds the 16-bit value to txCredits without checking maxTxCredits. edge_write() uses txCredits minus the software FIFO count as the amount of data that fits. Since the FIFO is allocated with maxTxCredits bytes, txCredits exceeding maxTxCredits can cause OOB write in ring buffer. Cap accumulated credits at maxTxCredits. • Jul 19, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hsr: defer node table free until after RCU readers HSR node-list and node-status geneCVE-2026-64123 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hsr: defer node table free until after RCU readers HSR node-list and node-status generic-netlink operations run under rcu_read_lock(). They walk hsr->node_db through hsr_get_next_node() and hsr_get_node_data(), but RTM_DELLINK teardown removes the same node table with plain list_del() and frees each node immediately. That lets a generic-netlink reader hold a struct hsr_node pointer across hsr_dellink(). In a KASAN build, widening the reader window after hsr_get_next_node() obtains the node reproduces a slab-use-after-free when the reader copies node->macaddress_A; the freeing stack is hsr_del_nodes() from hsr_dellink(). Use list_del_rcu() and defer the free through the existing hsr_free_node_rcu() callback. This matches the lifetime rule used by the HSR prune paths, which already delete nodes with list_del_rcu() and call_rcu().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: altmodes/displayport: validate count before reading Status Update VDO A broken/malicious device can send the incorrect count for a status update VDO, which will cause the kernel to read uninitialized stack data and send it off elsewhere. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: serial: belkin_sa: validate interrupt status length The Belkin interrupt callback treats interrupt data as a four-byte status report and reads LSR/MSR fields at offsets 2 and 3. The interrupt-in buffer length is derived from endpoint wMaxPacketSize, and short interrupt transfers may complete successfully with a smaller actual_length. Check the completed interrupt packet length before parsing status fields so short interrupt endpoints and short successful packets are ignored instead of causing out-of-bounds or stale status-byte reads. Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
