  • Sep 25, 2026OpenClaw is an npm-distributed agent runtime.CVE-2026-100584 · Other software · OpenClaw · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.4

OpenClaw is an npm-distributed agent runtime. In versions >= 2026.2.26 and < 2026.7.1, PowerShell command analysis on Windows hosts running in exec allowlist mode could approve an exact executable resolved from PATH but subsequently execute a same-named executable located in the workspace directory. If lower-trust content can place an executable with an approved basename into an agent-writable workspace and steer an approved PowerShell command that uses a bare executable name, OpenClaw may run the workspace file instead of the allowlisted path, executing arbitrary code with the privileges of the Gateway or node-host user. The issue does not require replacement of the approved executable itself. Version 2026.7.1 contains a fix; as a workaround, avoid bare executable names in approved PowerShell commands and keep executable files out of agent-writable workspaces.

  • Sep 25, 2026OpenClaw (npm package 'openclaw') before 2026.8.1 does not correctly enforce per-chat tool policies for Codex app-server runtime tools.CVE-2026-100552 · Other software · OpenClaw · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7

OpenClaw (npm package 'openclaw') before 2026.8.1 does not correctly enforce per-chat tool policies for Codex app-server runtime tools. A conversation-level tools.allow rule filtered OpenClaw tools but did not restrict the shell, process, file, and patch tools owned by the Codex runtime. When a lower-trust conversation was assigned to a Codex runtime and restricted with a per-chat tool allowlist, a participant able to trigger that agent could still reach native command and file tools, bypassing the configured allowlist. The practical impact depends on the runtime's host permissions and sandbox configuration. The issue is fixed in 2026.8.1.

  • Sep 24, 2026containerd is an open-source container runtime.CVE-2026-53493 · Other software · containerd · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

containerd is an open-source container runtime. Prior to versions 1.7.36, 2.0.13, 2.2.9, 2.3.6, and 2.4.1, a crafted OCI index graph can force very high CPU/memory usage during PullImage (before container start), causing long ContainerCreating stalls and, at larger sizes, node/runtime instability. Versions 1.7.36, 2.0.13, 2.2.9, 2.3.6, and 2.4.1 fix the issue.

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: spi-qcom-qspi: Fix incomplete error handling in runtime PM The runtime PM functions hCVE-2026-97512 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: spi-qcom-qspi: Fix incomplete error handling in runtime PM The runtime PM functions had incomplete error handling that could leave the system in an inconsistent state. If any operation failed midway through suspend or resume, some resources would be left in the wrong state while others were already changed, leading to potential clock/power imbalances. Reorder the suspend/resume sequences to avoid brownout risk by ensuring the performance state is set appropriately before clocks are enabled and clocks are disabled before dropping the performance state. Fix by adding proper error checking for all operations and using goto-based cleanup to ensure all successfully acquired resources are properly released on any error.

Stencil core 4.43.5 contains a DOM-based cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the component runtime. When a downstream application enables the experimental slot fixes option and uses scoped components, assigning a string to the textContent property of such a component's host element causes the value to be parsed as HTML instead of being inserted as text. • Sep 18, 2026microsandbox is an easy, fast, local-first microVM runtime and library.CVE-2026-61670 · Other software · superradcompany · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

microsandbox is an easy, fast, local-first microVM runtime and library. Prior to 0.5.10, sdk/rust/lib/runtime/spawn.rs serializes NetworkConfig secret values into the --network-config argument and passes per-sandbox secrets through repeated --env arguments accepted by crates/cli/lib/sandbox_cmd.rs. Other local users or co-resident processes can read these values through the host process table, including /proc process command lines on Linux and process listings on Linux and macOS, for the lifetime of the sandbox. Exploitation does not require code execution inside the sandbox or access to the spawning user's session, and can disclose host-side API keys, tokens, and environment secrets on shared hosts, CI runners, and developer systems. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.10.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: fsl_audmix: rework runtime PM handling in probe After pm_runtime_enable() the AUDMIXCVE-2026-93184 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: fsl_audmix: rework runtime PM handling in probe After pm_runtime_enable() the AUDMIX block is powered off and stays suspended until the first runtime resume. Register writes issued between probe() and the first resume (e.g. from DAPM or ALSA control paths) target unpowered hardware and cause a system hang. Fix this by calling pm_runtime_resume_and_get() immediately after pm_runtime_enable() to power the hardware up and enable its clocks. Release the reference afterwards with pm_runtime_put() to allow the runtime PM framework to suspend the device and switch the regmap to cache-only mode when idle. When CONFIG_PM is disabled or runtime PM is not enabled, pm_runtime_* calls are stubs that do not power up the hardware. Handle this case explicitly by calling fsl_audmix_runtime_resume() directly so the hardware is always initialised and its clocks are enabled, ensuring register accesses succeed regardless of PM configuration.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: media: ipu7: fix pm_runtime refcount leak in ipu7_resume() ipu7_resume() calls pm_runtime_get_sync() before resuming the device. If the runtime PM resume fails, the usage count remains incremented, but the error path returns without dropping the reference. Use pm_runtime_resume_and_get() instead, which balances the usage count on failure and avoids the leak. Keep returning 0 on error, as resume callbacks should not propagate failures to the PM core, matching the behaviour of the ipu6 driver.

Similarly to other qcom phy drivers, introduce a qmp->phy_initialized variable that can be used to avoid relying on the possibly uninitialized phy pointer.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: phy: qcom: snps-femto-v2: Fix possible NULL-deref on early runtime suspend Runtime PM mustCVE-2026-90281 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: phy: qcom: snps-femto-v2: Fix possible NULL-deref on early runtime suspend Runtime PM must be enabled before creating the PHY, since phy_create() only enables runtime PM on the PHY device if it is already enabled on this parent device. However, the runtime PM callbacks dereference the hsphy instance, which is not yet ready, leaving a window where a suspend callback may trigger a NULL pointer dereference. Take a runtime PM usage reference with pm_runtime_get_noresume() before enabling runtime PM and release it once the PHY has been created, so that no runtime suspend can run before the PHY is ready. This also prevents a short window where an unnecessary runtime suspend can occur. Use the devres-managed version to ensure PM runtime is symmetrically disabled during driver removal for proper cleanup.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: light: gp2ap002: Fix unbalanced runtime PM on repeated event writes The IIO core does not filter duplicate writes to the event enable attribute, so writing the same value twice invokes write_event_config() twice. Enabling twice leaks a runtime PM reference, preventing the device from ever suspending again; disabling twice underflows the usage count and triggers a "Runtime PM usage count underflow" warning. Bail out early when the requested state matches the current state. While at it, switch to pm_runtime_resume_and_get() so a failed resume is propagated to userspace instead of silently marking the event enabled.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: cs35l33: drain threaded IRQ before runtime suspend cs35l33_runtime_suspend() currently switches the codec into regcache_cache_only(true) and powers it down without first quiescing the threaded IRQ registered by devm_request_threaded_irq(). That leaves a window where cs35l33_irq_thread() can still run after suspend has closed off live register access. A running system can reach this during runtime PM while the driver still has critical fault IRQs unmasked. If the threaded handler runs in that window, it reads volatile INT_STATUS_1/2 after cache_only has been enabled, ignores the regmap_read() failures, and can still drive the AMP_SHORT_RLS, CAL_ERR_RLS, OTE_RLS, and OTW_RLS release paths. Use disable_irq() before entering cache_only/power-off so any in-flight threaded handler is drained and no new IRQ thread can run during the suspended state. Re-enable the IRQ only after runtime_resume() has restored live register access with regcache_sync(). Since probe only warns if devm_request_threaded_irq() fails, track whether the IRQ was actually installed before disabling or re-enabling it.

  • Sep 14, 2026containerd is an open-source container runtime.CVE-2026-53495 · Other software · containerd · reported by GitHubMedium 6.8

containerd is an open-source container runtime. Prior to 1.7.35, 2.0.12, 2.2.8, and 2.3.5, containerd on Linux with the CRI plugin enabled can indefinitely block the drainExecSyncIO goroutine in internal/cri/server/container_execsync.go when CRI ExecSync is used by exec probes or lifecycle hooks that launch long-lived background child processes retaining standard input and output pipes. The input and output drain phase has no default timeout and did not stop when the request context was canceled, so repeated ExecSync invocations can accumulate blocked goroutines and host memory. The resulting resource exhaustion can cause the OOM killer to terminate containerd, leaving the container runtime unavailable until restart. Deployments not using containerd's CRI implementation and containers not running on Linux are not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 1.7.35, 2.0.12, 2.2.8, and 2.3.5.

  • Sep 14, 2026LangBot's plugin runtime (pip package langbot_plugin) through 0.4.17 starts a debug WebSocket server on 0.0.0.0:5401 (/plugin/ws) whose authentication is gated CVE-2026-90938 · Other software · langbot-app · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.8

LangBot's plugin runtime (pip package langbot_plugin) through 0.4.17 starts a debug WebSocket server on 0.0.0.0:5401 (/plugin/ws) whose authentication is gated on plugin_debug_key, which defaults to an empty string and is never set by the upstream repository, Docker image, or docker-compose (which additionally publishes port 5401 to the host); the key check is therefore skipped entirely. Any remote attacker able to reach the port can register an arbitrary "debug plugin" without credentials. Because events are broadcast to all initialized plugins without filtering, the attacker's plugin receives the full context of every IM message event (including private chats, message chains, and user/sender IDs in plaintext) and can inject forged replies, send messages as any configured bot, enumerate bot UUIDs, invoke configured LLM models, read knowledge-base contents, and register malicious tools that feed every user's LLM pipeline. Registering with "prod_mode": true causes later legitimate installations of a plugin with the same author/name to be rejected, resulting in persistent denial of service. No patched version was available at the time of publication.

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ipa: fix stalled modem TX queue after runtime resume ipa_start_xmit() unconditionallyCVE-2026-80997 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ipa: fix stalled modem TX queue after runtime resume ipa_start_xmit() unconditionally stops the TX queue before calling pm_runtime_get(), relying on the wake scheduled by runtime resume (ipa_modem_wake_queue_work()) to restart it once power is ACTIVE. But that work is queued from within the runtime resume callback, before the device's power state reaches RPM_ACTIVE, so it can run while the device is still RPM_RESUMING. The wake is then consumed too early: the transmit it restarts stops the queue again, pm_runtime_get() returns -EINPROGRESS without arranging any future wake (deferred_resume exists only for RPM_SUSPENDING), and after the resume completes nothing is left to wake the queue. Transmit stalls permanently: packets pile up in the qdisc behind the stopped queue, the device runtime-suspends, and since the netdev registers no ndo_tx_timeout the watchdog never fires. Observed on SM7635 (Fairphone 6) as the cellular data path going permanently deaf within hours, RX included, since nothing resumes the suspended endpoints. Close the window by making the wake work wait for the resume to complete (pm_runt

  • Sep 2, 2026PREVAIL is a Polynomial-Runtime EBPF Verifier using an Abstract Interpretation Layer.CVE-2026-53706 · Other software · vbpf · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

PREVAIL is a Polynomial-Runtime EBPF Verifier using an Abstract Interpretation Layer. Prior to version 0.2.4, the prevail eBPF verifier accepts ALU32 ADD and SUB instructions that operate on pointer-typed registers without checking the is64 flag. Because ALU32 arithmetic zero-extends the 32-bit result, the upper half of any pointer is silently destroyed at runtime, yet prevail marks the program as verified safe. Any caller that can submit an eBPF program for verification — including unprivileged users on kernels that permit BPF program loading — can produce a program that passes verification but faults or misbehaves at runtime. This issue has been patched in version 0.2.4.

  • Sep 2, 2026PREVAIL is a Polynomial-Runtime EBPF Verifier using an Abstract Interpretation Layer.CVE-2026-53671 · Other software · vbpf · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3

PREVAIL is a Polynomial-Runtime EBPF Verifier using an Abstract Interpretation Layer. Prior to version 0.2.4, the abstract transformer in prevail treats writes through a T_CTX-typed base register as a silent no-op: do_mem_store in src/crab/ebpf_transformer.cpp only models T_STACK stores, and the checker's T_CTX bounds arm never tests AccessType::write. An attacker can craft an eBPF program that overwrites a context field (e.g., ctx->data), reload that field typed as T_PACKET, and dereference an attacker-controlled address — and prevail will report the program as safe. This issue has been patched in version 0.2.4.

  • Sep 2, 2026PREVAIL is a Polynomial-Runtime EBPF Verifier using an Abstract Interpretation Layer.CVE-2026-53670 · Other software · vbpf · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3

PREVAIL is a Polynomial-Runtime EBPF Verifier using an Abstract Interpretation Layer. Prior to version 0.2.4, in the Prevail eBPF verifier, EbpfTransformer::add() silently skips offset-variable updates when the destination register carries a non-singleton typeset (two or more simultaneously possible pointer types). Subsequent bounds checks use the stale offset and accept out-of-bounds memory accesses, so a crafted BPF program passes verification even though it would corrupt memory at runtime. This issue has been patched in version 0.2.4.
