Sep 17, 2026Paid Downloads: Arbitrary File UploadCVE-2026-87935 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1
The Paid Downloads plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 3.15 via the admin_request_handler function. This is due to missing authorization and file type validation in the admin_request_handler function, which is reachable unauthenticated via is_admin() returning true for /wp-admin/admin-post.php. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible. On Apache servers where AllowOverride is enabled, an .htaccess file placed in the upload directory may block direct HTTP retrieval of uploaded files, limiting exploitability to stacks that do not honor .htaccess directives such as nginx, LiteSpeed, and Apache with AllowOverride None.

Sep 12, 2026Temporary Login Without Password: Does not prevent a temporary user from creating an Application PasswordCVE-2026-77753 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WPScanMedium 5.5
The Temporary Login Without Password WordPress plugin before 1.9.9 does not prevent a temporary user from creating an Application Password, and does not revoke one when the temporary access expires or is disabled, allowing the recipient of a temporary login to retain working access to the site over REST and XML-RPC after the administrator believes it has been withdrawn. Sep 11, 2026Media Library Assistant: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-6642 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4
The Media Library Assistant plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the bulk edit preset export/import mechanism in versions up to and including 3.35. This is due to insufficient output escaping on preset field values when they are rendered in HTML attribute contexts in the mla_generate_bulk_edit_form_fieldsets() function and mla-bulk-edit-fieldsets.tpl template. While wp_kses() filtering is applied during preset export for users without unfiltered_html capability, this does not prevent attribute injection attacks since the malicious payload consists of quotes and HTML attributes rather than HTML tags. When preset values are retrieved and rendered, they are directly assigned to template variables without esc_attr() escaping and then inserted into input element value attributes via simple string replacement. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above (upload_files capability), to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when an administrator imports the poisoned preset and the targeted input field receives focus.

Sep 11, 2026Media Library Assistant: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-6641 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4
The Media Library Assistant plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'mla_gallery' shortcode in versions up to and including 3.35. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the mla_link_href parameter when mla_output is set to 'paginate_links', where the _paginate_links() function processes the value through mla_process_shortcode_parameter() and _replace_query_parameter() without proper URL escaping, then outputs it directly in href attributes without applying esc_url(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Sep 11, 2026UsersWP: Arbitrary File DeletionCVE-2026-19991 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1
The UsersWP plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Deletion in versions up to, and including, 1.2.70 via the upload_file_remove() AJAX handler. The plugin stores the value of an account 'file' form field taken directly from $_POST when no real $_FILES upload is provided (process_account() calls uwp_validate_fields() and array_merges the result with the empty output of UsersWP_Files::validate_uploads()). At storage time the value is only checked with validate_file(), which passes any string that does not contain a literal '../'. When the value is later processed by upload_file_remove(), it is again gated with validate_file() and then normalized through uwp_get_file_relative_url(); that helper performs a global str_replace() of the uploads base URL against the stored URL, allowing a crafted URL containing embedded '..<uploads-baseurl>' tokens to collapse into '../../' traversal sequences after the last validation. The transformed value is then appended to the uploads base directory and passed to wp_delete_file() without any canonical containment check. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files o

The Drag and Drop File Upload for Elementor Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 1.6.0 via the elementor_file_upload function. This is due to insufficient file type validation in the is_file_type_valid() function, which uses the attacker-controlled 'type' parameter as regex keys in the MIME allowlist, allowing blacklist bypass via a crafted extension that sanitize_file_name() later normalizes to a PHP extension. Rara One Click Demo Import plugin for WordPress before 1.3.5 contains an arbitrary file upload vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers with Administrator privileges to upload arbitrary PHP files by passing a false value to wp_handle_upload() that disables WordPress core's file type validation checks across all three file parameters in the process_uploaded_files() function. Attackers can upload a malicious PHP file to the uploads directory and execute it over HTTP to achieve remote code execution in the web server process, with the uploaded file persisting on disk even after plugin deactivation and leaving no media library record to evade standard integrity checks.

This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). Sep 1, 2026Gravity Forms: Arbitrary File UploadCVE-2026-19513 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1
The Gravity Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 3.0.2. This is due to insufficient validation of multi-file upload chunk state in the `GFAsyncUpload::upload()` function, where public form state URL hashes can be reused as chunk continuation hashes and attacker-controlled temporary filenames are accepted before sanitization. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers, when a public form contains a File Upload field with Multiple Files enabled, to upload a valid PNG/PDF polyglot to an attacker-selected public `.php` or `.html` filename in the Gravity Forms temporary upload directory. This can lead to remote code execution on WordPress systems that use NGINX or other non `.htaccess` respecting web servers. NOTE: During installation and activation, the Gravity Forms plugin places a `.htaccess` file in this directory, which prevents this vulnerability from being exploited despite the PHP file being written to the temporary upload directory. In these cases where PHP execution is blocked, attacker-written HTML can result in stored same-origin cross-site scripting if a victim visits the generated file URL.

Aug 24, 2026LearnPress: Unauthorized modification of arbitrary WordPress optionsCVE-2026-75982 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.4
The LearnPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of arbitrary WordPress options in versions up to, and including, 4.4.4 via the learnpress_create_page AJAX action. The LP_Admin_Ajax::create_page() handler only checks the edit_pages capability and a wp_rest nonce (both available to Editors), then reads the field_name parameter from the request without restricting it to a learn_press_* allow-list before passing it as the option key to LP_Helper::create_page(), which calls update_option($key_option, $page_id). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Editor-level access and above, to update arbitrary WordPress options to a positive integer (a newly created page ID), enabling actions such as flipping users_can_register to a truthy value to open public registration, corrupting active_plugins to break the site, or otherwise tampering with site-wide settings normally reserved for administrators.

Aug 19, 2026Atarim – AI Agency for WordPress: Edit Pages, Fix Code, Update Plugins, SEO & Client Feedback: Arbitrary file deletionCVE-2026-19942 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1
The Atarim – AI Agency for WordPress: Edit Pages, Fix Code, Update Plugins, SEO & Client Feedback plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the AVCF_Abilities_Media::register (replace-media-file execute_callback) function in all versions up to, and including, 5.1.1. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). This is exploitable by first using the atarim/update-post-field ability to overwrite the _wp_attached_file meta of an attacker-owned attachment with a directory-traversal path, then invoking atarim/replace-media-file to cause get_attached_file() to resolve and unlink the targeted file.
