In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915: Guard against NULL driver_data in i915_pci_probe() pci_match_device() can return the dummy pci_device_id_any entry when a device is force-bound via sysfs driver_override, in which case ->driver_data is unset (NULL). i915_pci_probe() casts it to struct intel_device_info * unconditionally and dereferences intel_info->require_force_probe, causing a NULL-ptr-deref. Sep 16, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau/dmem: fix mismatched DMA unmap size for large folios Device-private THP migratCVE-2026-89804 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau/dmem: fix mismatched DMA unmap size for large folios Device-private THP migration maps migration buffers with page_size() and records that length in dma_info->size. For a compound folio page_size() is PAGE_SIZE << order, but two teardown sites still pass a literal PAGE_SIZE to dma_unmap_page(): - nouveau_dmem_migrate_to_ram() on the success path, and - nouveau_dmem_migrate_copy_one() on the copy-error path. For an order > 0 folio this unmaps less than was mapped, leaking the remainder of the IOMMU/IOVA mapping. The other unmap sites, in nouveau_dmem_migrate_chunk() and nouveau_dmem_evict_chunk(), already use the saved size; use it here too.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovl: fix double end_creating() on the casefold-mismatch path ovl_create_real() releases the new dentry twice when the casefold consistency check fails. The S_IFDIR branch calls end_creating() and sets err, then falls through to the common out: label which calls end_creating() on the same dentry again: case S_IFDIR: newdentry = ovl_do_mkdir(ofs, dir, newdentry, attr->mode); err = PTR_ERR_OR_ZERO(newdentry); if (!err && ofs->casefold != ovl_dentry_casefolded(newdentry)) { pr_warn_ratelimited(...); end_creating(newdentry); /* first */ err = -EINVAL; } break; ... if (err) goto out; ... out: if (err) { end_creating(newdentry); /* second, same dentry */ return ERR_PTR(err); } end_creating() is end_dirop(), which does inode_unlock() on the parent and dput() on the dentry, so the parent directory's i_rwsem is unlocked twice and the dentry is put twice. The second unlock releases a lock that is not held, which is what wedges every later creation under that parent, and the second dput() drops a reference that was never taken. Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: fix clock domain mismatch in clients_still_reclaiming() clients_still_reclaiming() cCVE-2026-89685 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: fix clock domain mismatch in clients_still_reclaiming() clients_still_reclaiming() computes a deadline from nn->boot_time (CLOCK_REALTIME, ~1.7 billion) but compares it against ktime_get_boottime_seconds() (CLOCK_BOOTTIME, seconds since boot). The comparison is always false — it would take ~54 years of uptime for BOOTTIME to exceed the REALTIME-derived deadline. This means any client can hold the server in grace indefinitely by sending CLAIM_PREVIOUS OPEN requests, blocking all non-reclaim operations for all other clients. Add boot_time_bt (CLOCK_BOOTTIME) alongside the existing boot_time and use it for the deadline computation. boot_time (CLOCK_REALTIME) is preserved for its cl_boot clientid-nonce role.

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: reject buckets with mismatched CRUSH ids crush_decode() stores bucket data by arrCVE-2026-89656 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: reject buckets with mismatched CRUSH ids crush_decode() stores bucket data by array slot, and the mapper later derives the per-bucket workspace index from the decoded bucket id. A malformed map can therefore make one bucket reuse another bucket's workspace by encoding an id different from -1 - slot. For uniform buckets, the second replica selection expands the source bucket's permutation into that aliased workspace buffer. If the source bucket is larger than the aliased bucket, the write runs past the smaller permutation array and can escape the kvmalloc'd CRUSH workspace. KASAN reports a slab OOB write of 4 bytes in bucket_perm_choose(). Reject buckets whose encoded id does not match their array slot. Valid CRUSH maps already use the canonical negative id corresponding to the bucket slot, so this restores the invariant expected by work->work[-1 - in->id] without changing valid map behavior.

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/tegra241-cmdqv: Reject a vSID wider than the SID_MATCH field tegra241_vintf_init_vsiCVE-2026-89450 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/tegra241-cmdqv: Reject a vSID wider than the SID_MATCH field tegra241_vintf_init_vsid() programs the guest-provided vSID into SID_MATCH, whose VIRT_SID field spans bits [20:1] with bit 0 as the match-enable flag. The HW therefore matches only a 20-bit Stream ID. The bound check rejects only virt_sid > UINT_MAX, which admits a value far wider than the field. The write "virt_sid << 1 | 0x1" then drops every bit above 20: a virt_sid of 0x80000000 lands as SID_MATCH = 0x1, a valid match on vSID 0, so the entry aliases the wrong Stream ID. Because vdev->virt_id is guest-controlled, a VMM can trigger it. Validate virt_sid against the field width with FIELD_MAX(), and program the register with FIELD_PREP() so the value and the field stay consistent.

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: thunderbolt: Release the Rx HopID that was handed out on mismatch tb_xdomain_alloc_inCVE-2026-80990 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: thunderbolt: Release the Rx HopID that was handed out on mismatch tb_xdomain_alloc_in_hopid() passes the wanted HopID to ida_alloc_range() as the lower bound, so a taken id is not an error there: the allocator returns the next free one above it. tbnet_connected_work() asks for the peer's transmit path, treats any other id as a failure and returns without releasing what it got, so that allocation stays live for the rest of the XDomain connection with nothing left holding a reference to it. Release the id when it is not the one we asked for, the same way the error unwind at the end of the function releases the expected one.

Sep 10, 2026The Sierra Wireless HL78xx modem GNSS driver (drivers/modem/hl78xx/, later drivers/modem/vendor_standalone/hl78xx/) embeds a generic struct gnss_nmea0183_match_CVE-2026-15461 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 5.3
The Sierra Wireless HL78xx modem GNSS driver (drivers/modem/hl78xx/, later drivers/modem/vendor_standalone/hl78xx/) embeds a generic struct gnss_nmea0183_match_data match_data inside struct hl78xx_gnss_data. The generic NMEA0183 match helper (drivers/gnss/gnss_nmea0183_match.c) requires that context to be the first member because its callbacks cast user_data directly to struct gnss_nmea0183_match_data . In the affected releases match_data was the second member (after const struct device dev), so it sat at a non-zero offset while gnss_nmea0183_match_init() initialized it at the correct address. The registered NMEA handlers instead pass the whole device data object (data->devices.gnss->data, offset 0), producing an offset-shifted type confusion between where state is initialized and where the parse callbacks read and write it. When NMEA sentences from the GNSS receiver are parsed, the GGA/RMC callbacks write parsed fix data into the wrong location within the struct, and the GSV callback (gnss_nmea0183_match_gsv_callback, active under CONFIG_GNSS_SATELLITES) reads its satellites pointer and bound from the wrong offsets — non-pointer bytes of struct hl78xx_gnss_data — and then writes

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: reject stale cookies with mismatched verification tags sctp_unpack_cookie() skips cookie expiration checks whenever an association already exists. This is broader than the exception in RFC 9260 Section 5.2.4. For an existing association, Section 5.2.4 permits an expired State Cookie only when both Verification Tags in the cookie match the current association. Otherwise, the packet SHOULD be discarded and a Stale Cookie ERROR MUST be sent. The broad check lets an expired Action A restart cookie reach sctp_sf_do_dupcook_a(). In a runtime test with the default 60 second cookie lifetime, replaying such a cookie after 65 seconds returned a COOKIE-ACK and restarted the association. Check cookie expiration unless both Verification Tags match. This preserves the Action D exception for a lost COOKIE ACK while rejecting expired cookies in all other cases.

Sep 3, 2026MISP contains an authorization flaw in the OnDemand correlation engine where correlations were calculated solely from matching attribute values without applyingCVE-2026-85226 · Other software · misp · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.3
MISP contains an authorization flaw in the OnDemand correlation engine where correlations were calculated solely from matching attribute values without applying the distribution, sharing group, organization, or other access-control restrictions associated with the correlated attributes and events. As a result, an authenticated user could receive correlation results referring to attributes or events that the user was not authorized to access. The vulnerable correlation collection path did not take the requesting user into account. The patch changes the correlation collector to accept the current user and filters the resulting attribute identifiers through MISP's existing fetchAttributesSimple() authorization logic, which evaluates event-, attribute-, object-, distribution-, and sharing-group-level restrictions against the live data. The issue also affected paths relying on previously stored correlation data. Because the OnDemand engine does not maintain the stored correlation table, its denormalized access-control information could be stale. The patch therefore validates correlated attribute identifiers against the current ACLs before returning them and additionally applies n

Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in ash-project ash widens a relationship's parent(...) scoping filter to match unintended records when the referenced parent field cannot be resolved. Loading a relationship whose filter references parent(...) resolves that expression against the parent record. resolve_parent_in_filter/3 (lib/ash/actions/read/relationships.ex) resolved an unresolvable parent reference (for example when the referenced field was not selected on the source query) to nil rather than failing. A scoping predicate such as org_id == parent(org_id) then becomes an IS NULL match, and a guard like is_nil(parent(org_id)) or org_id == parent(org_id) activates its unrestricted branch, so the relationship returns records the scope was meant to exclude. The fix fails the read with an error when a parent(...) reference cannot be resolved, instead of defaulting to nil. This issue affects ash: from 3.13.2 before 3.32.2.

Sep 1, 2026Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in ash-project ash lets an attacker exhaust node memory by matching a filter that spans multiple to-many relatioCVE-2026-82742 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 5.9
Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in ash-project ash lets an attacker exhaust node memory by matching a filter that spans multiple to-many relationships in memory. Ash.Filter.Runtime matches a filter against an in-memory record by first expanding the record into combinations of its related rows. flatten_relationships/2 (lib/ash/filter/runtime.ex) eagerly built the full Cartesian product across the filter's to-many relationship paths, so a record with K to-many relationships of M rows each materialized on the order of M^K scenarios before any predicate was checked. A filter or dataset that reaches several sizeable to-many relationships therefore allocates memory combinatorially and can exhaust the node. The fix streams the expansion lazily and short-circuits on the first matching scenario, bounding the work. This issue affects ash: from 1.29.0-rc0 before 3.32.2.

Aug 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl: Fix CXL_HEADERLOG_SIZE to match RAS Capability size The CXL r4.0 8.2.4.17.7 RAS CapabCVE-2026-80662 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl: Fix CXL_HEADERLOG_SIZE to match RAS Capability size The CXL r4.0 8.2.4.17.7 RAS Capability Structure has total length 0x58 bytes (CXL_RAS_CAPABILITY_LENGTH); the Header Log occupies the trailing 64 bytes at offset 0x18. CXL_HEADERLOG_SIZE was defined as SZ_512, eight times the actual on-device size. header_log_copy() reads CXL_HEADERLOG_SIZE_U32 (128) dwords from the RAS capability iomap, overrunning the 88-byte mapping by 448 bytes. The cxl_aer_uncorrectable_error trace event memcpy()s CXL_HEADERLOG_SIZE (512) bytes from its source. For the CPER caller the source is struct cxl_ras_capability_regs::header_log[16] (64 bytes) embedded in a stack-local cxl_cper_prot_err_work_data, so the memcpy reads 448 bytes of kernel stack into the trace event ring buffer where userspace can read it via tracefs. Set CXL_HEADERLOG_SIZE to 64 and derive CXL_HEADERLOG_SIZE_U32 from it, bringing all iomap readers into agreement on 16 dwords. Userspace tools such as rasdaemon have grown a dependency on the buggy 512-byte (128 u32) header_log layout in the cxl_aer_uncorrectable_error trace event. Add CXL_HEADERLOG_TRACE_SIZE

Aug 27, 2026openssl_encrypt (pip: openssl-encrypt) versions <= 1.4.8 use suffix-tolerant fingerprint matching in enroll_trust_key when binding a plugin-signing trust anchorCVE-2026-81714 · Other software · jahlives · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.3
openssl_encrypt (pip: openssl-encrypt) versions <= 1.4.8 use suffix-tolerant fingerprint matching in enroll_trust_key when binding a plugin-signing trust anchor. An operator who confirms a short (forgeable, ~32-bit) GPG key id could unknowingly enroll an attacker's colliding key as a trusted anchor, which then vouches for malicious plugins under the ENFORCE signature policy. Version 1.4.9 fixes this by requiring the confirmed value to exactly match the full primary-key fingerprint (case-insensitive, whitespace-stripped).

github.com/graphql-go/graphql (GraphQL for Go) through 0.8.1 does not validate that a scalar variable value matches its declared type. The built-in coerceString and coerceBool functions (scalars.go) accept input whose type does not match the declared String, ID, or Boolean scalar instead of raising the request error that the GraphQL specification mandates. In some cases (but not any typical case of JSON sent to a website), a deeply nested value leads to an unrecoverable "fatal error: stack overflow" condition.

Aug 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: openvswitch: reallocate update replies for mismatched IDs ovs_flow_cmd_new() preallocCVE-2026-74664 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: openvswitch: reallocate update replies for mismatched IDs ovs_flow_cmd_new() preallocates the optional reply skb before it takes ovs_mutex and before it knows which existing flow will be updated. That is normally fine because the skb is sized from the request flow identifier. That identifier also becomes the inserted flow's identifier. For updates, however, a request with a UFID may miss the UFID lookup and then fall back to the flow key lookup. That lookup can legitimately find an existing key-identified flow. UFIDs are optional and the flow key is the primary identifier. For echoed replies, ovs_flow_cmd_fill_info() writes the matched flow's identifier, not the request identifier used for the preallocation. A short request UFID can therefore leave too little room for the key identifier. The fill can then fail with -EMSGSIZE and hit the BUG_ON(error < 0) in the update path. Once the update target has been resolved, reallocate the reply skb if the matched flow needs a larger reply than the request identifier allowed. Do this before replacing the actions so the request can still fail cleanly if the rar

Aug 20, 2026The Lean 4 kernel does not verify that the structure named in a projection expression matches the type of the value being projected, and environment::add_inductCVE-2026-72844 · Other software · leanprover · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.8
The Lean 4 kernel does not verify that the structure named in a projection expression matches the type of the value being projected, and environment::add_inductive in src/kernel/inductive.cpp did not type check the nested inductive applications that are replaced by auxiliary types, so their parametric arguments escaped checking. A metaprogram running in the Lean process can register an ill-typed nested inductive whose constructor applies a .proj C 0 projection to a value of the unrelated type W, and the kernel admits the declaration through the ordinary checked addDecl path at maximum kernel checking, without sorry, unsafeCast, debug.skipKernelTC, addDeclWithoutChecking, FFI, or a modified .olean file. The result is a type confusion yielding a proof of False that carries no axioms, from which any proposition can be derived. The published proof of concept additionally pads two expressions until their hashes and approximate depths collide, which defeats kernel caching; that is the technique used to reach the flaw, not its cause. Exploitation requires running a metaprogram in-process, for example by building a project or importing a malicious Lake dependency.
