rsync 2.3.3 before 3.5.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows a malicious sender to escape the module root by exploiting symlinks within the module file tree when using --partial-dir or --backup-dir options. Attackers with write access to place a symlink under the module root, or who can exploit a pre-existing trusted symlink, can direct file writes to locations outside the intended module root, achieving arbitrary file write relative to the module root parent.

  • Aug 7, 2026File::Rotate::Simple versions before 0.4.0 for Perl create the target of dangling symlinks when rotating files.CVE-2026-17435 · Other software · RRWO · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eLow 2.5

File::Rotate::Simple versions before 0.4.0 for Perl create the target of dangling symlinks when rotating files. When the file to be rotated is a symbolic link to a missing file, and the touch option is enabled, then the rotate method assumes that the file is absent (since the existence check is against the target), and does not rotate it. But it touches the file, which creates the target. An attacker that has the ability to create the symlink can use this to create an arbitrary file with permissions of the process rotating the files (which may be different from the process that normally writes to the log file that is being rotated). Note that the touch option is disabled by default.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: tear down new links on vif update error path When ieee80211_vif_update_links() adds new links it allocates a link container for each and calls ieee80211_link_init() (which registers the per-link debugfs files with file->private_data pointing into the container) and ieee80211_link_setup(). If the subsequent drv_change_vif_links() fails, the error path restores the old pointers and jumps to 'free', which frees the new containers but never removes their debugfs entries or stops the links. The debugfs files survive with file->private_data dangling at the freed container, so a later open()+read() (e.g. link-1/txpower) dereferences freed memory in ieee80211_if_read_link(), a use-after-free. The removal path already dismantles links correctly via ieee80211_tear_down_links(), which removes each link's keys and debugfs entries and calls ieee80211_link_stop(); the add path on the error branch does not. Commit be1ba9ed221f ("wifi: mac80211: avoid weird state in error path") hardened this same error path for the link-removal case (new_links == 0) but left the newly-added links' teardown unaddressed. drv_cha

  • Aug 5, 2026PrettyLinks – Affiliate Links, Link Branding, Link Tracking, Marketing and Stripe Payments: SQL InjectionCVE-2026-5062 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.9

The PrettyLinks – Affiliate Links, Link Branding, Link Tracking, Marketing and Stripe Payments Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 's' (search) parameter on the Pretty Links listing page in all versions up to, and including, 3.6.20. This is due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query in the `search_links_table()` function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Administrator-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.

  • Aug 2, 2026A vulnerability in keras-team/keras versions <= 3.14.0 allows arbitrary local HDF5 file content disclosure due to improper handling of HDF5 ExternalLinks.CVE-2026-9335 · Other software · keras-team · reported by security@huntr.devMedium 6.5

A vulnerability in keras-team/keras versions <= 3.14.0 allows arbitrary local HDF5 file content disclosure due to improper handling of HDF5 ExternalLinks. The `KerasFileEditor` and `keras.saving.load_weights` functions bypass the `safe_get_h5_group` and `safe_get_h5_dataset` helpers, which are designed to reject ExternalLinks and SoftLinks. This results in automatic dereferencing of links to external HDF5 files, enabling attackers to disclose sensitive data from the victim's local filesystem. Specifically, `KerasFileEditor` extracts attributes and datasets from linked files into its internal structures, while `keras.saving.load_weights` loads weights from linked files into the user's model. This issue can be exploited by providing a malicious `.h5`, `.weights.h5`, or `.keras` file containing ExternalLinks.

OpenRemote (org.openremote:openremote) versions <= 1.26.2 contain an insecure direct object reference vulnerability in the setAssetLinks endpoint of AlarmResourceImpl. The realm access check validates only a single realm obtained via realms.stream().findFirst() on a HashSet of realms from the request, rather than all realms. Because HashSet iteration order is non-deterministic, an authenticated attacker who includes alarm-asset links from both their own realm and a victim realm can, with roughly 50% probability per request (retryable), persist cross-tenant links and disclose victim asset names (returned via @Formula fields) through GET requests on the attacker's own alarm. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: proc: protect ptrace_may_access() with exec_update_lock (FD links) proc_pid_get_link() and proc_pid_readlink() currently look up the task from the pid once, then do the ptrace access check on that task, then look up the task from the pid a second time to do the actual access. That's racy in several ways. To fix it, pass the task to the ->proc_get_link() handler, and instead of proc_fd_access_allowed(), introduce a new helper call_proc_get_link() that looks up and locks the task, does the access check, and calls ->proc_get_link().

The AMMOS Instrument Toolkit (Formerly the Bespoke Links to Instruments for Surface and Space (BLISS)) is a Python-based software suite developed to handle Ground Data System (GDS), Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), commanding, telemetry uplink/downlink, and sequencing for instrument and CubeSat Missions. In versions prior to 2.6.1 and in version 3.1.0, the Binary Stream Capture (BSC) component exposes an unauthenticated HTTP API for dynamically creating packet capture "handlers." Because the code blindly trusts path‑related form fields, a remote client can bypass the configured log root and direct BSC to log to arbitrary filesystem paths (path traversal / directory escape), and append attacker‑controlled data to those files, using the privileges of the`ait-bsc` process. There are two ways for a remote attacker to trigger this. First, if the attacker has access to the network where `ait-bsc` is deployed (a reason for that could be that the ports are publicly accessible), the payloads can be directly sent to the server to trigger the arbitrary file append. This type of attack is demonstrated in `python_poc.py`. Second, even if the attacker does not have direct access to th

The mv, cp, and rm file utilities exposed within the ExtremeXOS (EXOS) shell environment fail to safely canonicalize paths and follow symbolic links outside of the intended privilege boundary. An attacker with low-privilege CLI access can create a symbolic link that references a privileged filesystem location and then invoke the affected utilities to read, modify, or replace security-critical files outside of their authorized scope. Under certain conditions, this may enable escalation to root-level access and persistent modification of the device software stack. Exploitation is possible remotely by an attacker holding a low-privilege account, or locally via the serial console. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: pcm: oss: Fix setup list UAF on proc write error snd_pcm_oss_proc_write() links a newly allocated setup entry into the OSS setup list before duplicating the task name. If the task-name allocation fails, the error path frees the already linked entry and leaves setup_list pointing at freed memory. A later OSS device open can then walk the stale list entry in snd_pcm_oss_look_for_setup() and dereference freed memory. Allocate the task name and initialize the setup entry before publishing the entry on setup_list. Also fetch the initial proc read iterator only after taking setup_mutex, so all setup_list traversal follows the same list lifetime rules.

linkify-it is a links recognition library with full Unicode support. Prior to 5.0.1, LinkifyIt.prototype.match, the package's primary public API, has O(N²) algorithmic complexity for inputs containing many fuzzy links or emails because the JavaScript-level scan loop re-slices input and re-runs unanchored regex searches on progressively shorter tails. • Jun 9, 2026LimeSurvey constructs account password-reset links from the client-supplied HTTP Host header without validating it.CVE-2026-50635 · Other software · LimeSurvey · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7

LimeSurvey constructs account password-reset links from the client-supplied HTTP Host header without validating it. The optional allowedHosts allowlist that would constrain this is undefined in the default (and documented) configuration, so LSHttpRequest::checkIsAllowedHost() results in no operation. A remote, unauthenticated attacker who submits a forgotten-password request for a known account (requiring only the target's username and email) with a spoofed Host header causes LimeSurvey to email that account a reset link whose hostname is attacker-controlled while embedding the genuine validation_key. When the recipient or an automated inbound mail-security link scanner dereferences the link, the valid reset token is disclosed to the attacker, who replays it against the legitimate host's newPassword endpoint to set a new password and take over the account.

Hermes WebUI prior to v0.51.221 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows attackers to escape the workspace boundary by supplying symlinks that resolve to files or directories outside the designated workspace root. Attackers can exploit the workspace file and listing APIs, which resolve symlink targets without enforcing that the final path remains within the workspace, to read external host files accessible to the server process and disclose sensitive data such as SSH keys, cloud credentials, or application tokens.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath12k: clear stale link mapping of ahvif->links_map When an arvif is initialized in non-AP STA mode but MLO connection preparation fails before the arvif is created (arvif->is_created remains false), the error path attempts to delete all links. However, link deletion only executes when arvif->is_created is true. As a result, ahvif retains a stale entry of arvif that is initialized but not created. • May 28, 2026LinkAce is a self-hosted archive to collect website links.CVE-2026-45344 · Other software · Kovah · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

LinkAce is a self-hosted archive to collect website links. Prior to 2.5.6, the setup database configuration flow on uninitialized LinkAce instances accepts attacker-controlled database credential fields and writes them back into .env without escaping. A remote attacker who can reach the setup endpoints and supply a database they control can inject mail configuration variables and achieve command execution when the application later sends mail. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.5.6.

  • May 28, 2026LinkAce is a self-hosted archive to collect website links.CVE-2026-45343 · Other software · Kovah · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5

LinkAce is a self-hosted archive to collect website links. Prior to 2.5.6, LinkAce contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows a low-privilege user to execute arbitrary JavaScript in an administrator's browser session. This affects instances configured with SSO/OAuth authentication, which is one of the supported authentication methods in LinkAce. An attacker who sets their OAuth display name to a malicious script and then creates an API token will plant a persistent XSS payload in the audit log. When any admin navigates to /system/audit, the payload executes in the admin's browser context. This enables session cookie theft, CSRF token exfiltration (exposed in the la-app-data meta tag), or any other action the admin can perform. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.5.6.

  • May 28, 2026LinkAce is a self-hosted archive to collect website links.CVE-2026-45342 · Other software · Kovah · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

LinkAce is a self-hosted archive to collect website links. Prior to 2.5.6, LinkAce contains an Insecure Direct Object Reference vulnerability in the authorization policy layer that allows any authenticated user to modify resources owned by other users. The affected resource types are links, lists, tags, and notes. Both the web UI and the REST API are vulnerable. The root cause is in the update() methods of all four model policies: LinkPolicy, LinkListPolicy, TagPolicy, and NotePolicy. Each delegates to an access-check method (e.g., userCanAccessLink()) that returns true for any resource with non-private visibility, regardless of who owns it. This means any registered user can edit any public or internal resource across the entire instance. The delete() methods in the same policy files correctly require ownership via $link->user->is($user), which confirms that update was intended to be owner-only. The same flaw exists in the API layer through AuthorizesUserApiActions::userCanUpdateModel(), which mirrors the broken visibility-only check instead of the ownership check used by userCanDeleteModel(). Bulk edit operations via BulkEditController are also affected. This vulnerability is fix

  • May 27, 2026myLinksDump: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-2288 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.8

The myLinksDump plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'link_title' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This only affects multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled.
