Jul 9, 2026An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (RPD) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allCVE-2026-33801 · Network & remote access · Juniper Networks · reported by sirt@juniper.netHigh 7.1
An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (RPD) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an adjacent, unauthenticated attacker sending a specific BGP update over an established BGP session to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS). Upon receipt of a specifically malformed non-inet/inet6 unicast BGP update, an RPD crash and restart is triggered, which will cause a complete service outage until routing has reconverged. The rpd crash occurs before the update can be readvertised, so there is no downstream propagation. This issue affects: * Junos OS versions 25.2 before 25.2R2; * Junos OS Evolved versions 25.2 before 25.2R2-EVO. This issue doesn't affect Junos OS versions before 25.2R1 nor Junos OS Evolved versions before 25.2R1-EVO.

Jul 9, 2026An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the advanced forwarding toolkit (evo-aftmand) of Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved CVE-2026-33794 · Network & remote access · Juniper Networks · reported by sirt@juniper.netHigh 8.2
An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the advanced forwarding toolkit (evo-aftmand) of Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved on PTX Series allows an unauthenticated network-based attacker generating continuous routing updates, resulting in unilist ECMP routes, to crash the evo-aftmand process on the PFE, leading to a Denial-of-Service (DoS). The conditions required for successful exploitation are based on a sequence of events that are outside an attacker's direct control. Unified list (unilist) ECMP routes are a specific ECMP behavior where multiple equal-cost routes share a single logical next-hop list entry. The router treats them as one route with multiple next hops and load balances traffic across that unified list. Due to an issue processing unilist ECMP routing updates, internal state corruption may occur, especially in large-scale ECMP unilist deployments, leading to the evo-aftmand process crashing, resulting in an evo-aftmand-bx core. Manual intervention is required to recover by rebooting the system or restarting the FPC. This issue affects Junos OS Evolved on PTX : * from 24.4R2-EVO before 24.4R2-S3-EVO; * from 25.2 before 2

An Incorrect Synchronization vulnerability in the management daemon (mgd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a network-based attacker with low privileges to cause a complete Denial-of-Service (DoS) of the management plane. When NETCONF sessions are quickly established and disconnected, a locking issue causes mgd processes to hang in an unusable state. When the maximum number of mgd processes has been reached, no new logins are possible. This leads to the inability to manage the device and requires a power-cycle to recover. This issue can be monitored by checking for mgd processes in lockf state in the output of 'show system processes extensive': user@host> show system processes extensive | match mgd <pid> root 20 0 501M 4640K lockf 1 0:01 0.00% mgd If the system still can be accessed (either via the CLI or as root, which might still be possible as last resort as this won't invoke mgd), mgd processes in this state can be killed with 'request system process terminate <PID>' from the CLI or with 'kill -9 <PID>' from the shell. This issue affects: Junos OS: * 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S4, * 24.2 versions before 24.2R2-S1,

Jan 15, 2026A Use After Free vulnerability was identified in the 802.1X authentication daemon (dot1xd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved that could allow anCVE-2026-21908 · Network & remote access · Juniper Networks · reported by sirt@juniper.netHigh 7.5
A Use After Free vulnerability was identified in the 802.1X authentication daemon (dot1xd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved that could allow an authenticated, network-adjacent attacker flapping a port to crash the dot1xd process, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS), or potentially execute arbitrary code within the context of the process running as root. The issue is specific to the processing of a change in authorization (CoA) when a port bounce occurs. A pointer is freed but was then referenced later in the same code path. Successful exploitation is outside the attacker's direct control due to the specific timing of the two events required to execute the vulnerable code path. An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause an availability impact for downstream devices. When an affected device receives a specific optional, transitive BGP attribute over an existing BGP session, it will be erroneously modified before propagation to peers. When the attribute is detected as malformed by the peers, these peers will most likely terminate the BGP sessions with the affected devices and thereby cause an availability impact due to the resulting routing churn. An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the Juniper DHCP service (jdhcpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a DHCP client in one subnet to exhaust the address pools of other subnets, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) on the downstream DHCP server. By default, the DHCP relay agent inserts its own Option 82 information when forwarding client requests, optionally replacing any Option 82 information provided by the client. When a specific DHCP DISCOVER is received in 'forward-only' mode with Option 82, the device should drop the message unless 'trust-option82' is configured. Instead, the DHCP relay forwards these packets to the DHCP server unmodified, which uses up addresses in the DHCP server's address pool, ultimately leading to address pool exhaustion. Oct 9, 2025A password aging vulnerability in the RADIUS client of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an authenticated, network-based attacker to access CVE-2025-60010 · Network & remote access · Juniper Networks · reported by sirt@juniper.netMedium 5.3
A password aging vulnerability in the RADIUS client of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an authenticated, network-based attacker to access the device without enforcing the required password change. Affected devices allow logins by users for whom the RADIUS server has responded with a reject and required the user to change the password as their password was expired. Therefore the policy mandating the password change is not enforced. This does not allow users to login with a wrong password, but only with the correct but expired one. Oct 9, 2025An Access of Uninitialized Pointer vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved with BGP sharding configCVE-2025-59962 · Network & remote access · Juniper Networks · reported by sirt@juniper.netMedium 6
An Access of Uninitialized Pointer vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved with BGP sharding configured allows an attacker triggering indirect next-hop updates, along with timing outside the attacker's control, to cause rpd to crash and restart, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS). With BGP sharding enabled, triggering route resolution of an indirect next-hop (e.g., an IGP route change over which a BGP route gets resolved), may cause rpd to crash and restart. An attacker causing continuous IGP route churn, resulting in repeated route re-resolution, will increase the likelihood of triggering this issue, leading to a potentially extended DoS condition. An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the Packet Forwarding Engine (PFE) of Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved on PTX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause impact to confidentiality and availability. When an output firewall filter is configured with one or more terms where the action is 'reject', packets matching these terms are erroneously sent to the Routing Engine (RE) and further processed there. Processing of these packets will consume limited RE resources. Also responses from the RE back to the source of this traffic could reveal confidential information about the affected device. This issue only applies to firewall filters applied to WAN or revenue interfaces, so not the mgmt or lo0 interface of the routing-engine, nor any input filters. This issue affects Junos OS Evolved on PTX Series: * all versions before 22.4R3-EVO, * 23.2 versions before 23.2R2-EVO.

Oct 9, 2025An Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in the Connectivity Fault Management (CFM) daemon and the Connectivity Fault Management Manager (cfmman) of JCVE-2025-52961 · Network & remote access · Juniper Networks · reported by sirt@juniper.netHigh 7.1
An Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in the Connectivity Fault Management (CFM) daemon and the Connectivity Fault Management Manager (cfmman) of Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved on PTX10001-36MR, PTX10002-36QDD, PTX10004, PTX10008, PTX10016 allows an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS). An attacker on an adjacent device sending specific valid traffic can cause cfmd to spike the CPU to 100% and cfmman's memory to leak, eventually to cause the FPC crash and restart. Continued receipt and processes of these specific valid packets will sustain the Denial of Service (DoS) condition. An indicator of compromise is to watch for an increase in cfmman memory rising over time by issuing the following command and evaluating the RSS number. If the RSS is growing into GBs then consider restarting the device to temporarily clear memory. user@device> show system processes node fpc<num> detail | match cfmman Example: show system processes node fpc0 detail | match cfmman F S UID PID PPID PGID SID C PRI NI ADDR SZ WCHAN RSS PSR STIME TTY TIME CMD 4 S root 15204 1 15204 15204 0

Jul 11, 2025A Missing Release of Memory after Effective Lifetime vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allowsCVE-2025-52986 · Network & remote access · Juniper Networks · reported by sirt@juniper.netMedium 6.8
A Missing Release of Memory after Effective Lifetime vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a local, low privileged user to cause an impact to the availability of the device. When RIB sharding is enabled and a user executes one of several routing related 'show' commands, a certain amount of memory is leaked. When all available memory has been consumed rpd will crash and restart. The leak can be monitored with the CLI command: show task memory detail | match task_shard_mgmt_cookie where the allocated memory in bytes can be seen to continuously increase with each exploitation. This issue affects: Junos OS: * all versions before 21.2R3-S9, * 21.4 versions before 21.4R3-S11, * 22.2 versions before 22.2R3-S7, * 22.4 versions before 22.4R3-S7, * 23.2 versions before 23.2R2-S4, * 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S4, * 24.2 versions before 24.2R2, * 24.4 versions before 24.4R1-S2, 24.4R2; Junos OS Evolved: * all versions before 22.2R3-S7-EVO * 22.4-EVO versions before 22.4R3-S7-EVO, * 23.2-EVO versions before 23.2R2-S4-EVO, * 23.4-EVO versions before 23.4R2-S4-EVO, * 24.2

Jul 11, 2025A Use of Incorrect Operator vulnerability in the Routing Engine firewall of Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, network-based attackerCVE-2025-52985 · Network & remote access · Juniper Networks · reported by sirt@juniper.netMedium 6.9
A Use of Incorrect Operator vulnerability in the Routing Engine firewall of Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to bypass security restrictions. When a firewall filter which is applied to the lo0 or re:mgmt interface references a prefix list with 'from prefix-list', and that prefix list contains more than 10 entries, the prefix list doesn't match and packets destined to or from the local device are not filtered. This issue affects firewall filters applied to the re:mgmt interfaces as input and output, but only affects firewall filters applied to the lo0 interface as output. This issue is applicable to IPv4 and IPv6 as a prefix list can contain IPv4 and IPv6 prefixes. This issue affects Junos OS Evolved: * 23.2R2-S3-EVO versions before 23.2R2-S4-EVO, * 23.4R2-S3-EVO versions before 23.4R2-S5-EVO, * 24.2R2-EVO versions before 24.2R2-S1-EVO, * 24.4-EVO versions before 24.4R1-S3-EVO, 24.4R2-EVO. This issue doesn't affect Junos OS Evolved versions before 23.2R1-EVO.

Jul 11, 2025A Reachable Assertion vulnerability in the Routing Protocol Daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, network-baCVE-2025-52964 · Network & remote access · Juniper Networks · reported by sirt@juniper.netHigh 7.1
A Reachable Assertion vulnerability in the Routing Protocol Daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS). When the device receives a specific BGP UPDATE packet, the rpd crashes and restarts. Continuous receipt of this specific packet will cause a sustained DoS condition. For the issue to occur, BGP multipath with "pause-computation-during-churn" must be configured on the device, and the attacker must send the paths via a BGP UPDATE from a established BGP peer. This issue affects: Junos OS: * All versions before 21.4R3-S7, * from 22.3 before 22.3R3-S3, * from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S5, * from 23.2 before 23.2R2, * from 23.4 before 23.4R2.
