In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7921: validate CLC firmware records The CLC region is supplied by firmware, but the loader trusts the region count and each record length. • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ivpu: Validate firmware log buffer metadata The tracing log headers parsed by fw_logCVE-2026-97916 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ivpu: Validate firmware log buffer metadata The tracing log headers parsed by fw_log_print_buffer() reside in DMA-shared BOs that the NPU firmware can write to. fw_log_from_bo() validated log->header_size and log->size, but fw_log_print_buffer() re-read those same fields from shared memory afterwards, allowing a TOCTOU where firmware changes them between the check and the use, and making the host dereference out-of-bounds addresses while printing logs. Snapshot the validated values once with READ_ONCE() and pass them down explicitly in a new struct ivpu_fw_log_desc instead of re-reading them from the shared struct.

  • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ivpu: Limit firmware log name prints to field size The name in struct vpu_tracing_buCVE-2026-97915 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ivpu: Limit firmware log name prints to field size The name in struct vpu_tracing_buffer_header is a fixed-size array populated by the NPU firmware. It is expected to be NUL-terminated, but nothing on the host side enforces this, so printing it with an unbounded string conversion would read past the field if the terminator is ever missing and expose adjacent bytes of the shared tracing BO through dmesg and the debugfs FW log output. Print at most as many characters as the name field holds, so the output never runs past it even if the string is not NUL-terminated.

  • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btrtl: Don't leak return code when parsing firmware format v2 When key_id from CVE-2026-97907 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btrtl: Don't leak return code when parsing firmware format v2 When key_id from chip is zero, rtlbt_parse_firmware_v2() intentionally ignores all security headers. However, the implementation simply breaks from a switch statement and leaks uninitialized return code `rc' (if the first section is a security one) or the previous section's `rc'. Fix it by really skipping a loop with `continue'. For consistency and readability, also do the same for the default case.

OpenEye Apex Network Video Recorder (NVR) firmware 3.2.9.376 contains an OS command injection vulnerability in recbackup. An authenticated administrator can supply crafted backup-area configuration input that is passed to a shell command, allowing commands to execute with the privileges of the nvr user. The underlying design has been present since at least firmware 2.2.3.4. This vulnerability is resolved in OpenEye Apex version 3.4.3.

OpenEye Apex Network Video Recorder (NVR) firmware 3.2.9.376 uses an administrator password-reset unlock-code design that lacks a per-device secret or other server-side cryptographic material. An attacker with physical-console access and access to the privileged password-reset workflow can forge a valid unlock code offline and use it to reset the administrator password. The underlying design has been present since at least firmware 2.2.3.4. Upgrade to version 3.5.4.

OpenEye Apex Network Video Recorder (NVR) firmware 3.2.9.376 trusts an X-Forwarded-For header supplied by an arbitrary client when determining the request source address. OpenEye Apex Network Video Recorder (NVR) firmware 3.2.9.376 contains a hardcoded, undocumented recovery account with a shared credential that cannot be changed, disabled, or rotated. An unauthenticated remote attacker can use the account to authenticate to the password-reset workflow. The upload filename validation strips backslash characters but does not subsequently check for forward slashes when a backslash is detected; by supplying a filename containing both characters an attacker writes outside the intended upload directory to any writable path. Attackers can use this vulnerability to achieve complete loss of confidentiality, integrity, and availability on the affected device and potentially impact downstream serial-connected devices.

The web configuration server constructs the session cookie file path using snprintf with a fixed-size buffer; by supplying a cookie value of a specific length an attacker causes the path to truncate at the required delimiter and leverages path traversal to redirect authentication validation to an arbitrary on-disk file such as the local user database, bypassing all session checks. Attackers can use this vulnerability to achieve complete loss of confidentiality, integrity, and availability on the affected device and potentially impact downstream serial-connected devices.

All firmware versions of Lantronix SLC8000, SLC9000, EMG8500, EMG7500, SLB882, SLCx-03, and SLCx-02 contain an authentication bypass vulnerability in the web management portal that allows unauthenticated attackers to derive valid session tokens of logged-in users and bypass source IP and User-Agent validation. Session tokens are generated deterministically from the device model and the current time at one-second resolution, resulting in a small enumerable set of possible active tokens. Attackers can construct a crafted URI that exploits file extension handling in the web server path routing to bypass per-session source-address validation, then use a derived token from a different source address to gain elevated privileges on the affected device and potentially impact downstream serial-attached devices.
