Oct 13, 2026A security issue was discovered in MongoDB mongos (the sharded cluster router) where an authenticated user with readWrite privileges could crash the mongos procCVE-2026-96299 · Other software · MongoDB · reported by cna@mongodb.comHigh 7.1
A security issue was discovered in MongoDB mongos (the sharded cluster router) where an authenticated user with readWrite privileges could crash the mongos process by crafting a specially formed aggregation pipeline. The issue leverages an internal aggregation stage that lacks proper authorization checks despite being intended for internal use, allowing a subsequent stage to be forced to execute on the router under conditions it was not designed to handle. This results in an unhandled fatal error that causes the mongos process to immediately abort, resulting in denial of service for all clients routed through the affected mongos instance.

Oct 12, 2026A connected peer cluster can modify a Temporal Server cluster's local namespaces, which are never replicated to that peer, because the receiving cluster appliesCVE-2026-104355 · Other software · Temporal Technologies, Inc. · reported by security@temporal.ioHigh 7
A connected peer cluster can modify a Temporal Server cluster's local namespaces, which are never replicated to that peer, because the receiving cluster applies inbound namespace replication updates to them. In a multi-cluster deployment, each cluster pulls replication tasks from the remote clusters an administrator has registered with connection enabled; the sending side excludes local namespaces, but the receiving side does not apply the same rule. When an inbound task names an existing namespace, the server checks at most that the namespace identifiers match, then overwrites its state, description, owner, retention, archival settings, and cluster list, and its active cluster when the task carries a higher failover version, without checking that the namespace is global. A party that controls a registered peer's replies, by operating or compromising it, can therefore change any local namespace whose name and identifier it can supply, without any credential on the receiving cluster: for example, marking it Deprecated, making the peer its active cluster, and shortening its retention, after which new Workflow starts in that namespace fail. Local namespaces include the built-in tempor

Oct 6, 2026Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key (CWE-639) in Elasticsearch can lead to Information Disclosure via a specially crafted cross-cluster search requCVE-2026-103009 · Other software · Elastic · reported by security@elastic.coHigh 7.1
Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key (CWE-639) in Elasticsearch can lead to Information Disclosure via a specially crafted cross-cluster search request that references an unauthorized shard identifier. Elasticsearch contains an authorization bypass weakness in its handling of cross-cluster search requests made through the Remote Cluster Security (RCS) 2.0 model. An authorization check validates a request against one identifying attribute of the target shard, while a separate, independently-supplied identifying attribute in the same request determines which shard is actually accessed. A holder of a cross-cluster API key authorized for one index can craft a request whose two identifying attributes refer to different indices, causing the request to be authorized against an index they can access while actually operating against a different, unauthorized index. This can expose that index's document contents, field mappings, and other metadata, and in limited cases allows modification of retention-lease state on the unauthorized index.

Oct 6, 2026A flaw was found in postgres-exporter.CVE-2026-83550 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.1
A flaw was found in postgres-exporter. Due to the blank import of `net/http/pprof`, debug endpoints are exposed on the unauthenticated metrics listener. A remote attacker within the cluster network can access these endpoints. This allows for information disclosure, potentially revealing process arguments, full goroutine stacks, and sensitive data like database connection strings or passwords from heap dumps. Additionally, repeated CPU profiling through these endpoints can lead to a denial of service.

Sep 30, 2026MISP renders the source field of a Galaxy Cluster as a clickable hyperlink whenever the stored value passes PHP's FILTER_VALIDATE_URL validation.CVE-2026-103388 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 6.2
MISP renders the source field of a Galaxy Cluster as a clickable hyperlink whenever the stored value passes PHP's FILTER_VALIDATE_URL validation. Because FILTER_VALIDATE_URL accepts the javascript: URI scheme, a user with galaxy editor privileges on the local instance or on a synced instance could store a javascript: URL as the cluster source. When another user views the affected Galaxy Cluster and clicks the rendered link, the embedded script executes in the victim's browser context, enabling session hijacking, data exfiltration, or actions performed on behalf of the victim. Preconditions: - Attacker must hold galaxy editor privileges (local or via sync). - Victim must view the affected cluster and click the malicious link. Impact: - Stored cross-site scripting (XSS) in the victim's browser. - Potential session theft, credential harvesting, or unauthorized actions within the MISP application. Affected: <2.5.48.

The Apache Airflow Teradata provider's compute-cluster example Dag declared every one of its Dag Params as unconstrained free text and templated them straight into the compute-cluster operators, which interpolate those values into Teradata DDL. A user who is permitted to trigger that Dag - a lower-trust role than the Dag author, and one that needs no Teradata credentials of its own - could therefore supply SQL fragments that execute under the connection the task runs as, and could additionally redirect the task at any other connection defined in the deployment, because the connection id was itself a free-text Param. Only deployments that run this example Dag, or a Dag copied from it, are affected; the provider's operator code is unchanged. Users of apache-airflow-providers-teradata are recommended to upgrade to version 3.7.0 or later, whose example constrains the Params to validated identifiers and a closed value set and removes connection selection and free-form option strings from trigger-time input. Upgrading does not change a Dag already copied from the example; users who copied it should apply the same constraints to their copy.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: only count successfully cleared runs when freeing clusters ntfs_cluster_free_from_rl_nolock() adds a run's length to nr_freed whenever the error bookkeeping condition is false, which includes cases where ntfs_bitmap_clear_run() actually failed - e.g. a second run failing with the same errno as an earlier one, or any failure after a non-ENOMEM error was already recorded. Since a failed ntfs_bitmap_clear_run() rolls back its partial modifications, no bits were cleared for that run, yet its length still inflates vol->free_clusters, corrupting statfs output and the allocator's free space gate. Only count runs whose bitmap clear succeeded.

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2/cluster: keep heartbeat local node stable o2nm_node_local_store() handles local=0 byCVE-2026-90322 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2/cluster: keep heartbeat local node stable o2nm_node_local_store() handles local=0 by stopping o2net and setting cl_local_node to O2NM_INVALID_NODE_NUM, but it leaves cl_has_local set. That stale state makes o2nm_this_node() return 255, blocks a later local=1 attempt with -EBUSY, and can feed 255 to heartbeat users that call o2nm_this_node() dynamically. Clearing cl_has_local is required when the local node is reset. But heartbeat threads can still be running at that point. They pin the local node config item at startup, yet o2hb_do_disk_heartbeat() and thread teardown re-read o2nm_this_node() for the local slot and for o2nm_undepend_this_node(). Once local=0 has cleared the live local-node state, those dynamic reads return O2NM_MAX_NODES, which is also the invalid node number 255. Store the local node number in the heartbeat region when the region starts. Use that stable node for heartbeat slot writes/checks, negotiation messages, and the final configfs undepend. Stop the heartbeat loop when the current local node no longer matches the stored node, and clear cl_has_local together with cl_local_node

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: fix integer overflow in MFT cluster validation In ntfs_init_from_boot(), the boot sector's MFT cluster numbers are validated against the volume size with: if (mlcn * sct_per_clst >= sectors || mlcn2 * sct_per_clst >= sectors) goto out; mlcn and mlcn2 are u64 fields read directly from the boot sector. sct_per_clst is bounded above by 4096 (true_sectors_per_clst() plus the is_power_of_2() check below it), but the multiplication is done in u64 and wraps when mlcn (or mlcn2) is large enough -- e.g. mlcn near 2^62 with sct_per_clst == 4 wraps to 0, which compares below any non-zero 'sectors', so the check is bypassed and the malformed record is accepted. The accepted mlcn is then used unchanged in sbi->mft.lbo = mlcn << cluster_bits; In practice the resulting reads fail at the block layer (sb_bread() returns NULL via grow_buffers()'s check_mul_overflow() guard), so today this manifests as mount failing in odd places rather than as something more dangerous, but the validation step is still wrong and there is no reason for callers to rely on the block layer to catch a value that should never hav

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: erofs: fix interlaced ztailpacking pclusters On-disk sizes of interlaced pclusters should CVE-2026-90161 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: erofs: fix interlaced ztailpacking pclusters On-disk sizes of interlaced pclusters should be block-aligned, and ztailpacking interlaced pclusters should be invalid at all. Currently, mkfs.erofs won't generate any interlaced pcluster with ztailpacking enabled, so this doesn't affect any existing valid filesystems. However, crafted images can contain invalid interlaced ztailpacking pclusters, resulting in an out-of-bounds read from a kmap'd page and copying irrelevant kernel memory into userspace-visible page cache.

Sep 16, 2026A flaw was found in flightctl.CVE-2026-92615 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.6
A flaw was found in flightctl. The configureRepoHTTPSClient() function in the device-render worker builds a per-repository tls.Config (which may include InsecureSkipVerify, a custom CA bundle, or tenant-supplied mTLS client certificates) and installs it into go-git's process-global client.Protocols map via gitclient.InstallProtocol("https", ...). Because the worker renders devices for multiple organizations concurrently from a shared goroutine pool, whichever tenant's repository configuration is written last wins for all in-flight git.Clone calls. This race condition can cause one tenant's TLS settings, including InsecureSkipVerify or mTLS client credentials, to leak into another tenant's git operations.

Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes or OpenShift in various deployment configurations. In Strimzi 1.0.0 and earlier, deploying only the Topic Operator or only the User Operator through the Kafka custom resource leaves the Entity Operator ServiceAccount with RBAC permissions for both components. The excess permissions can allow access to KafkaUser custom resources and Secrets when the User Operator is absent, or access to KafkaTopic custom resources when the Topic Operator is absent. This issue is fixed in versions 1.0.1 and 1.1.0.

Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes or OpenShift in various deployment configurations. In Strimzi 1.0.0 and earlier, an attacker who can create a Kafka custom resource can set Kafka.spec.entityOperator watchedNamespace to a target namespace, causing the Cluster Operator to create a Role with full Secret CRUD permissions there and bind it to the Entity Operator ServiceAccount in the attacker's namespace. The attacker can mint a token for that ServiceAccount and read or write Secrets in any target namespace where the Cluster Operator has been granted permissions, regardless of STRIMZI_NAMESPACE. This issue is fixed in versions 1.0.1 and 1.1.0.

Sep 15, 2026Inspektor Gadget is a set of tools and framework for data collection and system inspection on Kubernetes clusters and Linux hosts using eBPF.CVE-2026-53941 · Other software · inspektor-gadget · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9
Inspektor Gadget is a set of tools and framework for data collection and system inspection on Kubernetes clusters and Linux hosts using eBPF. From 0.27.0 until 0.53.1, the uprobe library resolver can allow an unprivileged container to consume excessive CPU and block other containers from starting by supplying a crafted /etc/ld.so.cache file while an uprobe-based gadget is active. The parser in pkg/uprobetracer/ldcache_parser.go trusts EntryCount enough to perform excessive iteration, computes cache1Len with overflowing uint32 arithmetic, and repeatedly calls readStringFromBytes in pkg/uprobetracer/bytes.go, where byte-by-byte immutable string concatenation produces quadratic work. While this processing occurs, pkg/container-hook holds the fanotify container-start pause, allowing a crafted cache to delay startup for roughly a minute, prevent Docker from starting other containers, and degrade monitoring. Processing caches from already-running containers can still consume CPU but does not hold the new-container startup pause, and the advisory establishes no confidentiality or integrity impact. This issue is fixed in version 0.53.1.

Sep 15, 2026Inspektor Gadget is a set of tools and framework for data collection and system inspection on Kubernetes clusters and Linux hosts using eBPF.CVE-2026-44778 · Other software · inspektor-gadget · reported by GitHubLow 2.9
Inspektor Gadget is a set of tools and framework for data collection and system inspection on Kubernetes clusters and Linux hosts using eBPF. From 0.28.0 until 0.53.1, the USDT note parser in pkg/uprobetracer/usdt.go can allow an unprivileged container to crash or exhaust the memory of the privileged Inspektor Gadget process when a custom gadget containing a SEC("usdt/...") eBPF section attaches to a crafted ELF binary. The getUsdtInfo() function reads the .note.stapsdt section without validating that DescSize is large enough for three address fields, allowing an out-of-bounds slice operation to panic, and it uses untrusted NameSize and DescSize values for allocations that can consume gigabytes of memory. The parser also invokes debug/elf without panic recovery, allowing other malformed ELF structures to terminate the process. No gadget shipped by Inspektor Gadget uses USDT probes, so only deployments using custom USDT gadgets are affected, and the demonstrated impact is denial of service rather than code execution or privilege escalation. This issue is fixed in version 0.53.1.

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: bound the free-cluster bitmap scan to the volume vol->lcn_empty_bits_per_page is sizCVE-2026-89614 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: bound the free-cluster bitmap scan to the volume vol->lcn_empty_bits_per_page is sized from vol->nr_clusters at mount, but ntfs_cluster_alloc() bounds its scan of that array by the size of $Bitmap. Those are independent on-disk quantities and the mount-time check only rejects a $Bitmap that is too small, so an image whose $Bitmap covers more clusters than the volume has lets the scan index past the array. A run whose LCN lies in that gap takes the allocator straight there, since the caller passes the file's own last LCN as its locality hint. KASAN reports a slab out-of-bounds read when a file on such a volume is extended. Clamp the scan to what that array covers, mirroring the max_index calculation the mount-time scan already uses, and reject a decoded LCN at or beyond nr_clusters in the mapping pairs decoder. Conforming volumes are unaffected.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: cluster: don't sleep while holding o2hb_live_lock in o2hb_region_pin() Patch series "ocfs2: cluster: o2hb_region_pin() fixes", v2. This series fixes three related issues in o2hb_region_pin(), all are from the original implementation in commit: 58a3158a5d17 ("ocfs2/cluster: Pin/unpin o2hb regions"): 1) It is called with o2hb_live_lock (a spinlock) held, but the underlying configfs_depend_item() sleeps (takes inode rwsem and pins the filesystem). This triggers BUG under CONFIG_DEBUG_ATOMIC_SLEEP. 2) When called from the configfs drop_item callback, it creates a lock order inversion: parent inode_lock -> configfs root inode_lock, which can deadlock against subsystem unregistration paths taking root -> parent. 3) If pinning fails partway through o2hb_region_inc_user(), the o2hb_dependent_users counter is leaked and partially-pinned regions are never released, leaving heartbeat regions unprotected on subsequent mounts. Patch 1 reworks o2hb_region_pin() to drop o2hb_live_lock across each sleeping configfs_depend_item() call, using a config_item reference to keep the region alive
