  • Aug 28, 2026MariaDB Connector/R2DBC is a non-blocking MariaDB and MySQL client implemented in Java.CVE-2026-55860 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

MariaDB Connector/R2DBC is a non-blocking MariaDB and MySQL client implemented in Java. Prior to 1.4.1, org.mariadb:r2dbc-mariadb does not gate clear-text password authentication plugins on transport encryption because the AuthenticationPlugin interface has no capability for a plugin to require a secure connection. A hostile or man-in-the-middle MariaDB server can send an AuthSwitchRequest naming mysql_clear_password or dialog (PAM) over a plain-TCP unencrypted connection, and AuthenticationFlow permits ClearPasswordPluginFlow or PamPluginFlow to return the user's password as cleartext bytes on the wire. The disclosed credentials can subsequently be used to authenticate directly to the database server. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.1.

  • Aug 28, 2026MariaDB Connector/R2DBC is a non-blocking MariaDB and MySQL client implemented in Java.CVE-2026-55859 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

MariaDB Connector/R2DBC is a non-blocking MariaDB and MySQL client implemented in Java. Prior to 1.4.1, org.mariadb:r2dbc-mariadb encodes and decodes all character data under the assumption that the connection character set is UTF-8. A server can announce a mid-session change to character_set_client through the OK-packet session-state-tracking mechanism, including through SET NAMES executed by a stored routine or trigger, server configuration, or a hostile or man-in-the-middle server. If the new character set is not UTF-8, the driver continues to exchange UTF-8 while the server interprets the same bytes under a different encoding, causing silent data corruption and a client/server charset-confusion mismatch that can defeat byte-wise quoting or escaping. The fix accepts only utf8, utf8mb3, or utf8mb4 after initialization; any other value raises R2dbcNonTransientResourceException with SQLState 08000 and closes the connection. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.1.

  • Aug 28, 2026MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases.CVE-2026-55858 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9, the connector encodes and decodes protocol text and performs client-side escaping under the assumption that the connection character set is UTF-8. The server can report a mid-session change to character_set_client through OK-packet session-state tracking, including a change caused by SET NAMES, a stored routine or trigger, server configuration, or a hostile server. If character_set_client changes to a non-UTF-8 value, the driver continues to read and write UTF-8 while the server interprets the same bytes under another encoding, causing silent data corruption and a client/server charset-confusion mismatch that can defeat byte-wise quoting or escaping. The fix accepts only utf8, utf8mb3, or utf8mb4 after initialization; any other value causes SQLException with SQLState 08000 and closes the connection. This issue is fixed in versions 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9.

  • Aug 28, 2026MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases.CVE-2026-55857 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9, PAM dialog authentication can be coerced into transmitting the account password over an insecure connection. The mysql_clear_password plugin is gated behind a secure transport, but the sibling PAM handler SendPamAuthPacketFactory, named dialog by the server, does not declare that requirement and inherits the default secure-required value false; older branches implement the same affected behavior in SendPamAuthPacket. A hostile or man-in-the-middle server can send an Authentication Switch Request for dialog over plain TCP, causing the driver to return the user's password in cleartext when sslMode=DISABLE and restrictedAuth=null, which is the default configuration. Properly verified TLS and local Unix sockets are not exposed to this transport vector. This issue is fixed in versions 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9.

  • Aug 28, 2026MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases.CVE-2026-55856 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9, when a Java application connects with sslMode=verify-full or sslMode=verify-ca, supplies a password, and does not configure serverSslCert or trustStore, Connector/J can accept an untrusted self-signed certificate through the fallbackToSystemTrustStore=true ephemeral trust manager and record its certFingerprint for later identity binding. The OK-packet and authentication-switch paths enforce the certificate fingerprint, but the initial-handshake path does not. HandshakeResponse.encode() can therefore build and send a mysql_clear_password response before checking certFingerprint != null && !isMitMProof(), sslMode, or whether the authentication plugin is resistant to a man-in-the-middle, and the initial path also bypasses restrictedAuth. An active man-in-the-middle or hostile server can present a self-signed certificate, claim to be MariaDB, select mysql_clear_password as the initial authentication plugin, and receive the full database password before the connection is rejected. This issue is fixed in versions 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9.

  • Aug 28, 2026MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases.CVE-2026-55855 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 3.2.4, 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3, MariaDB Connector/Node.js permits SQL injection when attacker-controlled Buffer parameters are escaped client-side under the big5, gbk, sjis, cp932, or gb18030 client character sets. PacketOutputStream.writeBufferEscape in lib/io/packet-output-stream.js escaped bytes without the charset-aware getMbRecognizer logic in lib/misc/charset-mb.js. The server SQL lexer runs my_ismbchar before escape processing, so an attacker-controlled lead byte can consume the inserted 0x5C backslash as a multibyte trail byte and leave the following 0x27 quote unescaped, terminating the string literal and allowing arbitrary SQL. The default utf8mb4 character set and parameters sent through the execute binary prepared-statement path are not affected. Successful exploitation can expose or modify data available to the database account. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.4, 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3.

  • Aug 28, 2026MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases.CVE-2026-55854 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 3.2.4, 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3, MariaDB Connector/Node.js can disclose an account password when PAM dialog authentication is negotiated over an insecure transport. In lib/cmd/handshake/auth/pam-password-auth.js and lib/cmd/handshake/authentication.js, the SendPamAuthPacketFactory behavior for the server-side plugin dialog lacked the secure-transport gate applied to mysql_clear_password. With the default sslMode=DISABLE and restrictedAuth=null settings, a hostile or on-path server can send an Authentication Switch Request for dialog over plain TCP, causing the connector to return the account password in cleartext. Properly verified TLS and a local Unix socket prevent this path, while fingerprint-only server identity validation is not sufficient. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.4, 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3.

  • Aug 28, 2026MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases.CVE-2026-55215 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to versions 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3, when ssl is enabled without a pinned CA or server certificate, MariaDB Connector/Node.js sends credentials before completing certificate fingerprint validation. In lib/cmd/handshake/auth/handshake.js, a server that selects mysql_clear_password as the initial authentication plugin can receive the password before the post-TLS identity check. In lib/cmd/handshake/authentication.js, an authentication switch can evaluate the previous plugin instead of the requested target plugin, allowing mysql_clear_password to send the credential first. An active man-in-the-middle can present a self-signed certificate, capture the database password, and use it to authenticate directly even though the connector later rejects the server and closes the connection. This issue is fixed in versions 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3.

A vulnerability in the endpoint ‘/ws/apitribuna/ultimosVideos’ where the `limit_videos` parameter is directly concatenated into a MariaDB SQL query without proper sanitization or parameterization. By injecting SQL syntax into this parameter, a remote attacker can cause SQL syntax errors and potentially manipulate backend queries. The issue results in an error-based SQL injection and exposes internal database error messages and stack traces, revealing implementation details of the backend system.

A flaw was found in CRI-O's container-creation environment-variable handling (`mergeEnvs` in `server/utils.go`, consumed by `setupContainerEnvironmentAndWorkdir` in `server/container_create.go`). When a `CreateContainer` request supplies a `nil` CRI `Envs` field, CRI-O falls back to using the target OCI image's `config.Env` entries unfiltered, in contrast to the normal merge path, which validates each entry for a `key=value` form before use. An OCI image whose `config.Env` contains an entry with no `=` character (e.g. a bare `NOEQUALS` string) causes CRI-O to split that entry into a single-element slice and then index its second element, which is out of range. This triggers an unrecovered Go runtime panic in the `crio` daemon process, crashing it and terminating the container-runtime service for all workloads on the node until it is restarted.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: f_ncm: Use unsigned int for ndp_index The variable ndp_index is declared as a signed integer, but it stores the return value of get_ncm(), which is unsigned. A malicious host can supply a large offset that overflows the signed ndp_index, making it negative. Because ndp_index is compared against unsigned bounds, this negative value bypasses sanity checks and leads to an out-of-bounds read when calculating the address of the NDP block (ntb_ptr + ndp_index). Fix this by changing ndp_index to unsigned int to ensure consistent unsigned comparisons throughout the function.

The read side strips SNDRV_SEQ_EXT_* bits from data.ext.len before the copy, but it leaves data.ext.ptr untouched. A userspace sequencer client can therefore write a direct variable event to itself and read back the extension-cell kernel address from the returned header. Clear the temporary header pointer before copy_to_user(). The original queued event remains unchanged and is still passed to snd_seq_expand_var_event(), so payload expansion keeps using the internal chain.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Reject negative const offsets for buffer pointers The verifier rejects variable offsets for PTR_TO_TP_BUFFER and PTR_TO_BUF accesses, but it currently accepts a constant negative offset produced by pointer arithmetic. Commit 022ac0750883 ("bpf: use reg->var_off instead of reg->off for pointers") moved constant pointer offsets from reg->off to reg->var_off. However, __check_buffer_access() continued to check only the instruction offset. An access with reg->var_off equal to -8 and an instruction offset of zero therefore passes verification. For writable raw tracepoints, the access end is also calculated from the unsigned reg->var_off.value. An eight-byte access starting at -8 wraps the calculated end to zero, allowing the program to load and attach without increasing max_tp_access. After ensuring that reg->var_off is constant, calculate the effective access start using signed arithmetic and reject it when it is negative. Use the validated start to calculate the access end for both PTR_TO_TP_BUFFER and PTR_TO_BUF.

  • Aug 14, 2026The Cortex MCP server (`neuro-cortex-memory`), a cross-platform persistent memory MCP, prior to version 3.17.1 treats the `CLAUDE_PROJECT_DIR` environment variaCVE-2026-49986 · Other software · cdeust · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

The Cortex MCP server (`neuro-cortex-memory`), a cross-platform persistent memory MCP, prior to version 3.17.1 treats the `CLAUDE_PROJECT_DIR` environment variable — automatically set by Claude Code to the currently open project directory — as a trusted Cortex developer checkout. When the `open_visualization` tool is invoked, `_find_dev_source()` resolves the user's active project directory as a candidate Cortex source root. The only validation performed by `_is_cortex_root()` is a check for the presence of an `mcp_server/` subdirectory and a `ui/unified-viz.html` file. An attacker who places these two marker files in a malicious repository can cause Cortex to execute an arbitrary `mcp_server/server/visualize_bootstrap.py` from that directory via `subprocess.run([sys.executable, ...])`, achieving code execution with the privileges of the victim's local user process. Version 3.17.1 fixes the issue.

Cleartext Storage of Sensitive Information in an Environment Variable (CWE-526) in Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK) can lead to information disclosure via Retrieve Embedded Sensitive Data (CAPEC-37). When ECK reconciles a Fleet Server resource that authenticates to Elasticsearch with a service account token, the token is written into the generated workload specification in cleartext rather than being referenced from the Kubernetes Secret that ECK maintains for the other credentials on the same path. Any principal able to read workload specifications in the affected namespace can therefore read a live Elasticsearch credential, even when Kubernetes RBAC does not grant that principal access to Secrets.

TypeORM is a TypeScript and JavaScript ORM for Node.js that supports PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQLite, SQL Server, Oracle, and other databases. Prior to versions 0.3.31 and 1.1.0, typeorm migration:generate embeds database schema metadata into JavaScript or TypeScript template literals in src/commands/MigrationGenerateCommand.ts, escaping backticks but not ${...} interpolation. An attacker with database schema write access can place a payload in column COMMENT or DEFAULT metadata, or another introspected schema string, and the JavaScript engine evaluates the payload when the generated migration is loaded through migration:run, import, or require. This issue is fixed in versions 0.3.31 and 1.1.0.

  • Aug 12, 2026Apache Airflow's Task SDK did not mask the contents of a Variable whose JSON value is a list, so secrets stored in that shape appeared in cleartext in task logsCVE-2026-68970 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 6.5

Apache Airflow's Task SDK did not mask the contents of a Variable whose JSON value is a list, so secrets stored in that shape appeared in cleartext in task logs and in the Rendered Templates UI. Masking was applied only when the deserialized value was a string or a dict; a list at the top level matched neither and was returned unmasked. Any authenticated user able to read the logs or rendered templates of a task that references such a Variable could recover the values, with no special configuration required. This is the list-shaped counterpart of CVE-2026-59244, whose fix covered the dict case only, so deployments that upgraded in response to that advisory remain affected and must upgrade again. Users are advised to upgrade to apache-airflow 3.3.1 or later.

  • Aug 12, 2026Apache Airflow wrote Variable values and Connection `extra` contents to the audit log in cleartext when they were submitted through the bulk endpoints (`PATCH /CVE-2026-68969 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 6.5

Apache Airflow wrote Variable values and Connection `extra` contents to the audit log in cleartext when they were submitted through the bulk endpoints (`PATCH /api/v2/variables` and `PATCH /api/v2/connections`). The audit-log masking recognised only top-level request fields, and a bulk request nests its entities two levels below, so no masking was applied to them. Any authenticated user with audit-log read access -- who need not hold Variables or Connections read at all -- could recover those secrets verbatim, and the Connection `extra` copy is stored unencrypted in the log while the connection table encrypts it. The Airflow UI's *Import Variables* action posts to this endpoint, so an ordinary operator import wrote every secret in the file to the log. This is a different code path from CVE-2026-50204: that fix shipped in 3.3.0 and covers the single-entity endpoints only, so deployments that upgraded in response to that advisory remain affected and must upgrade again. • Aug 12, 2026Apache Airflow's environment-variable secrets backend resolved a team-scoped Connection or Variable from the wrong team's scope.CVE-2026-68076 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 5.4

Apache Airflow's environment-variable secrets backend resolved a team-scoped Connection or Variable from the wrong team's scope. The guard meant to prevent this only ran when no team scope was supplied, and its pattern could not match a team name containing an underscore, which team names are allowed to contain. When the guard did not apply, the lookup fell through to an unconditional global read that resolved the stored `AIRFLOW_CONN__<TEAM>___<ID>` variable regardless of which team asked. In multi-team mode an authenticated user of one team could therefore have `POST /api/v2/connections/test` resolve another team's Connection and authenticate outward with that team's credentials; the endpoint uses the credentials rather than returning them. Exploitation requires `[core] multi_team` enabled, `[core] test_connection` set to `Enabled` (it ships `Disabled`), team-scoped secrets provisioned as environment variables in the API-server process, and knowledge of the encoded identifier. Redirecting the test at an attacker-controlled host is separately blocked. Users are advised to upgrade to apache-airflow 3.3.1 or later.
