  • May 25, 2026Cargo between 1.68 and 1.96 incorrectly normalized the URLs of third-party registries using the sparse index protocol.CVE-2026-5222 · Other software · Rust · reported by 986d4109-89ea-491f-99fd-a8e4803919bdLow 2.3

Cargo between 1.68 and 1.96 incorrectly normalized the URLs of third-party registries using the sparse index protocol. If a hosting provider allowed multiple registries to be hosted with arbitrary names within the same domain, an attacker able to publish crates in a registry could obtain the credentials of others users of the same registry. The severity of the vulnerability is **low**, due to the extremely niche requirements needed to achieve the attack.

The vllm-metal inference backend in Docker Model Runner on macOS unconditionally sets trust_remote_code=True when loading model tokenizers, and runs without sandboxing. This causes transformers.AutoTokenizer.from_pretrained() to import and execute arbitrary Python files included in any model pulled from an OCI registry, resulting in arbitrary code execution on the Docker host as the Docker Desktop user when inference is triggered. Any container on the Docker network can trigger this by calling the model-runner.docker.internal API to pull a malicious model and request inference.

  • May 21, 2026Deserialization of untrusted data in Apache Fory PyFory.CVE-2026-48207 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.8

Deserialization of untrusted data in Apache Fory PyFory. PyFory's ReduceSerializer could bypass documented DeserializationPolicy validation hooks during reduce-state restoration and global-name resolution. An application is vulnerable if it deserializes attacker-controlled data using PyFory Python-native mode with strict mode disabled and relies on DeserializationPolicy to restrict unsafe classes, functions, or module attributes. This issue affects Apache Fory: from before 1.0.0. Mitigation: Users of Apache Fory are recommended to upgrade to version 1.0.0 or later, which enforces DeserializationPolicy validation for the affected ReduceSerializer paths and thus fixes this issue.

  • May 20, 2026nimiq-blockchain provides persistent block storage for Nimiq's Rust implementation.CVE-2026-40094 · Other software · nimiq · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3

nimiq-blockchain provides persistent block storage for Nimiq's Rust implementation. In versions 1.3.0 and prior, network-libp2p discovery accepts signed PeerContact updates from untrusted peers and stores them in a peer contact book, eventually leading to address book crash. A PeerContact can legally contain an empty addresses list (no intrinsic validation enforces non-empty). Later, PeerContactBook::known_peers builds an address book by taking addresses.first().expect("every peer should have at least one address"). If the attacker has inserted a signed peer contact with addresses=[], any call to get_address_book (RPC/web client) can panic and crash the node/RPC task depending on panic settings. This issue has been fixed in version 1.4.0.

  • May 20, 2026nimiq-blockchain provides persistent block storage for Nimiq's Rust implementation.CVE-2026-40092 · Other software · nimiq · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

nimiq-blockchain provides persistent block storage for Nimiq's Rust implementation. In versions 1.3.0 and below, a malicious network peer can crash any Nimiq full node by publishing a crafted Kademlia DHT record. The maliciously crafted record would contain a TaggedSigned<ValidatorRecord, KeyPair> with a signature field whose byte length is not exactly 64 in order to cause a crash. When the victim node's DHT verifier calls TaggedSigned::verify, execution reaches Ed25519Signature::from_bytes(sig).unwrap() in the TaggedPublicKey implementation for Ed25519PublicKey. The from_bytes call fails because ed25519_zebra::Signature::try_from rejects slices not 64 bytes, and the unwrap() panics. The BLS TaggedPublicKey implementation correctly returns false on error; only the Ed25519 implementation panics. This issue has been fixed in version 1.4.0.

  • May 14, 2026rust-openssl provides OpenSSL bindings for the Rust programming language.CVE-2026-44662 · Other software · rust-openssl · reported by GitHubMedium 5.1

rust-openssl provides OpenSSL bindings for the Rust programming language. From 0.10.0 to before 0.10.79, CipherCtxRef::cipher_update, CipherCtxRef::cipher_update_vec, and symm::Crypter::update incorrectly sized output buffers when used with AES key-wrap-with-padding ciphers (EVP_aes_{128,192,256}_wrap_pad). For a non-multiple-of-8 input, OpenSSL writes up to 7 bytes past the end of the caller's buffer or Vec, producing attacker-controllable heap corruption when the plaintext length is attacker-influenced. This only impacts users using AES key-wrap-with-padding ciphers. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.10.79.

  • May 14, 2026rust-openssl provides OpenSSL bindings for the Rust programming language.CVE-2026-42327 · Other software · rust-openssl · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

rust-openssl provides OpenSSL bindings for the Rust programming language. From 0.9.7 to before 0.10.79, X509Ref::ocsp_responders returns OCSP responder URLs from a certificate's AIA extension as OpensslString, whose Deref<Target = str> wraps the raw bytes with str::from_utf8_unchecked. OpenSSL does not enforce that the underlying IA5String is ASCII, so a certificate with non-UTF-8 bytes in its OCSP accessLocation causes safe Rust code to construct a &str that violates the UTF-8 invariant — resulting in undefined behavior. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.10.79.

  • May 13, 2026gitoxide is an implementation of git written in Rust.CVE-2026-44471 · Other software · GitoxideLabs · reported by GitHubHigh 7.8

gitoxide is an implementation of git written in Rust. Prior to 0.21.1, a malicious tree can be constructed that will, when checked out with gitoxide, permit writing an attacker-controlled symlink into any existing directory the user has write access to. During checkout, all symlink index entries are deferred and created after regular files using a single shared gix_worktree::Stack. Internally, this uses a gix_fs::Stack. gix_fs::Stack::make_relative_path_current() caches validated path prefixes: when the previously-processed leaf component exactly matches the leading component(s) of the next path, the leaf-to-directory transition at gix-fs/src/stack.rs invokes only delegate.push_directory(), never delegate.push(). In gix_worktree::stack::delegate::StackDelegate, when the state member is State::CreateDirectoryAndAttributesStack, Attributes::push_directory() only loads attributes (from the ODB, in the clone case), and does not perform any other checks. The on-disk symlink_metadata() check and unlink-on-collision live in StackDelegate::push()'s invocation of create_leading_directory(), which is therefore bypassed for the cached prefix. The final symlink is created with plain std::os::u

Untrusted pointer dereference for some Intel(R) QuickAssist Adapter 8960 software before version 1.13 within Ring 3: User Applications may allow an escalation of privilege. Unprivileged software adversary with an authenticated user combined with a low complexity attack may enable escalation of privilege. This result may potentially occur via local access when attack requirements are not present without special internal knowledge and requires no user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (high), integrity (high) and availability (high) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (none) impacts.

  • May 12, 2026sealed-env is a cross-stack, zero-trust secret management library for Node.js and Java/Spring Boot.CVE-2026-45091 · Other software · davidalmeidac · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1

sealed-env is a cross-stack, zero-trust secret management library for Node.js and Java/Spring Boot. In sealed-env enterprise mode, versions 0.1.0-alpha.1 through 0.1.0-alpha.3 embedded the operator's literal TOTP secret in the JWS payload of every minted unseal token. JWS payload is base64-encoded JSON, NOT encrypted. Any party who could observe a minted token (CI build logs, container env dumps, kubectl describe pod, Sentry/Rollbar stack traces, log aggregators) could decode the payload and extract the TOTP secret in plaintext. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.1.0-alpha.4.

  • May 12, 2026webpack-dev-server versions up to and including 5.2.3 are vulnerable to cross-origin source code exposure when serving over a non-potentially trustworthy originCVE-2026-6402 · Other software · webpack-dev-server · reported by ce714d77-add3-4f53-aff5-83d477b104bbMedium 5.3

webpack-dev-server versions up to and including 5.2.3 are vulnerable to cross-origin source code exposure when serving over a non-potentially trustworthy origin such as plain HTTP. The previous fix relied on the Sec-Fetch-Mode and Sec-Fetch-Site request headers, which browsers omit for non-trustworthy origins, allowing a malicious site to load the bundled source as a script and read it across origins. Impact: an attacker controlling a website visited by a developer running webpack-dev-server can recover the application source code when the dev server runs over HTTP at a guessable host and port. Chromium based browsers from Chrome 142 onward are not affected due to local network access restrictions. Upgrade to webpack-dev-server 5.2.4 or later, which sets Cross-Origin-Resource-Policy: same-origin on responses.

  • May 11, 2026Vaultwarden is a Bitwarden-compatible server written in Rust.CVE-2026-43914 · Other software · dani-garcia · reported by GitHubHigh 7.3

Vaultwarden is a Bitwarden-compatible server written in Rust. Prior to 1.35.4, there is a security vulnerability in Vaultwarden that allows bypassing the login brute-force protection if email 2fa is enabled. If email 2fa is enabled, the unprotected 2fa-function send_email_login (email.rs, api endpoint /api/two-factor/send-email-login) also acts as an oracle determining whether a username-password combination is correct. An attacker can abuse that endpoint to brute-force passwords without rate-limiting. This works even for users who don't have email 2fa configured. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.35.4.

  • May 11, 2026Vaultwarden is a Bitwarden-compatible server written in Rust.CVE-2026-43913 · Other software · dani-garcia · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

Vaultwarden is a Bitwarden-compatible server written in Rust. Prior to 1.35.5, Vaultwarden allows an unconfirmed organization owner to purge the entire organization vault. The organization invite flow uses a two-step process: accepting an invite transitions membership from Invited to Accepted, and a separate confirmation by an existing owner upgrades it to Confirmed. The POST /api/ciphers/purge endpoint uses plain Headers and only checks that the membership type is Owner without verifying that the membership status is Confirmed. An authenticated user who has been invited as an organization owner and has accepted the invite and has not yet been confirmed can call this endpoint to hard-delete all ciphers and attachments in the organization, causing immediate organization-wide data loss. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.35.5.

  • May 11, 2026Vaultwarden is a Bitwarden-compatible server written in Rust.CVE-2026-43912 · Other software · dani-garcia · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

Vaultwarden is a Bitwarden-compatible server written in Rust. Prior to 1.35.5, Vaultwarden does not enforce that a groups_users.users_organizations_uuid entry belongs to the same organization as groups.groups_uuid, or a collections_groups.collections_uuid entry belongs to the same organization as collections_groups.groups_uuid. Multiple organization group-management endpoints accept arbitrary MembershipId and CollectionId values and persist them directly without verifying org consistency. This lets an attacker who is Admin in Organization A, and only a low-privileged member in Organization B bind their Org B membership UUID into an Org A group, then use that foreign group relationship to gain unauthorized access to Org B vault data. With an accessAll=true Org A group, the attacker can make /api/sync and /api/ciphers enumerate Org B ciphers. Once those unauthorized sync results reveal Org B collection IDs, the attacker can also bind those foreign collection IDs to the Org A group and turn the same flaw into write access over Org B items. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.35.5.

Vaultwarden is a Bitwarden-compatible server written in Rust. Prior to 1.35.5, refresh tokens are not invalidated when the user's security_stamp is rotated by some security-sensitive operations (password change, KDF change, key rotation, email change, org admin password reset, emergency access takeover). This allows an attacker holding a previously obtained refresh token to maintain session access even after the user has taken action to secure their account. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.35.5.

  • May 11, 2026Deserialization of untrusted data (CWE-502) in pgAdmin 4 FileBackedSessionManager.CVE-2026-7818 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007High 7.3

Deserialization of untrusted data (CWE-502) in pgAdmin 4 FileBackedSessionManager. The session manager performed unsafe deserialization of session-file contents (using Python's standard object-serialization module) before performing any HMAC integrity check. Any file dropped into the sessions directory was deserialized unconditionally. An authenticated user with write access to the sessions directory (whether by misconfiguration or in combination with another path-traversal flaw) could plant a crafted serialized payload to achieve operating-system level remote code execution under the pgAdmin process identity. Fix prepends a 64-byte hex SHA-256 HMAC over the session body, computed with SECRET_KEY, and verifies it via hmac.compare_digest before any deserialization. The check is raised (rather than asserted) on empty SECRET_KEY so it is not stripped under -O. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.15.
