  • Aug 28, 2026wolfEngine before 1.4.1 generates the 8-byte explicit AES-GCM nonce once when the TLS write key is set and never increments it per record.CVE-2026-81020 · Other software · wolfSSL Inc. · reported by facts@wolfssl.comHigh 7.4

wolfEngine before 1.4.1 generates the 8-byte explicit AES-GCM nonce once when the TLS write key is set and never increments it per record. As a result every TLS 1.2 and DTLS 1.2 AES-GCM record within a connection is encrypted under an identical key and nonce pair. Reusing a GCM key and nonce discloses the keystream (the XOR of two ciphertexts equals the XOR of their plaintexts, so one known record recovers the others) and leaks the GHASH authentication key, enabling authentication tag forgery. AES-CCM, TLS 1.3, and non-TLS use of the cipher are not affected.

Sieve CPU resource usage is tracked in the compiled script, so an attacker that has valid credentials can reset the accounting by repeatedly changing the active script. Compiled script files are also not removed when a script is deleted or renamed. The configured Sieve CPU limit can be bypassed, allowing sustained CPU consumption, and the leftover files increase disk consumption. Both can cause degradation of service for mail delivery. • Aug 28, 2026When mail_max_userip_connections is set (default 10) and reached, submission-login can crash with epoll() panic caused by file descriptor handling issues.CVE-2026-33263 · Other software · Open-Xchange GmbH · reported by security@open-xchange.comMedium 4.3

When mail_max_userip_connections is set (default 10) and reached, submission-login can crash with epoll() panic caused by file descriptor handling issues. If running in high-security mode (default for community releases), only the new submission connection gets terminated. If running in high-performance mode (default for Pro releases), all connections handled by the submission-login process will be terminated. The crashes can cause failure for user to send a message, or it can cause duplicate messages to be sent. If TLS is not used (in the backend server processing the submission), duplicate deliveries cannot happen, because the crash can only happen at AUTH stage. Limit the number of connections handled by single submission-login process. This has a performance impact though. Update to non-vulnerable version. No publicly available exploits are known.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: validate individual TWT params before driver setup ieee80211_process_rx_twt_action() only partially validates a received S1G TWT setup frame before queueing it. An individual agreement can therefore reach ieee80211_s1g_rx_twt_setup() with twt->length too short for the full struct ieee80211_twt_params. The individual path passes twt to drv_add_twt_setup(). Both the tracepoint and the driver callback consume the complete parameters block, not merely req_type. Do not pass a short individual agreement to the driver. Broadcast agreements remain unchanged because they are rejected locally after accessing only req_type. [edit commit message to not overclaim lack of validation nor understate driver impact]

  • Aug 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: spi-qpic-snand: write the feature value before executing SET_FEATURE qcom_spi_send_cmCVE-2026-80712 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.4

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: spi-qpic-snand: write the feature value before executing SET_FEATURE qcom_spi_send_cmdaddr() programs NAND_FLASH_CMD/NAND_EXEC_CMD and submits the descriptors, which makes the controller execute the command immediately. For SPINAND_SET_FEATURE the value to be written is only placed into NAND_FLASH_FEATURES afterwards, by qcom_spi_io_op(), in a second submission - so the chip is programmed with whatever that register happened to hold from a previous operation, and the intended value is only applied by the *next* SET_FEATURE. Measured on a TP-Link Archer AX55 v1 (IPQ5018, ESMT F50L1G41LB): writing 0x40 to the configuration register (0xb0) leaves the chip at 0x00, and the subsequent write of 0x00 leaves it at 0x40 - every write lands one operation late. This stayed unnoticed until v6.18 added SPI-NAND OTP support together with OTP entries for ESMT chips. spinand_otp_rw() enables OTP mode, reads, and disables it again, and mtd_otp_nvmem_add() does this during MTD registration. With the off-by-one, the "disable" write actually applies the previously requested value, so CFG_OTP_ENABLE ends up set: the chip stays

  • Aug 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: vub300: defer reset until cmd_mutex is unlocked vub300_cmndwork_thread() holds cmd_muCVE-2026-80659 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: vub300: defer reset until cmd_mutex is unlocked vub300_cmndwork_thread() holds cmd_mutex while it sends a command and waits for the command response. If the response wait times out, __vub300_command_response() kills the command URBs and then synchronously resets the USB device through usb_reset_device(). That reset path re-enters the driver through vub300_pre_reset(), which also takes cmd_mutex. The worker therefore tries to acquire the same mutex recursively while it is still holding it from the command path. This issue was found by our static analysis tool and then manually reviewed against the current tree. The grounded PoC kept the real worker and timeout/reset carrier: vub300_cmndwork_thread() __vub300_command_response() usb_lock_device_for_reset() usb_reset_device() vub300_pre_reset() Lockdep reported the same-task recursive acquisition on cmd_mutex: WARNING: possible recursive locking detected ... • Aug 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pinctrl: spacemit: fix NULL check in spacemit_pin_set_config spacemit_pin_set_config() looCVE-2026-80648 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pinctrl: spacemit: fix NULL check in spacemit_pin_set_config spacemit_pin_set_config() looks up the per-pin descriptor with spacemit_get_pin() then checks the wrong variable for failure: const struct spacemit_pin *spin = spacemit_get_pin(pctrl, pin); ... if (!pin) return -EINVAL; reg = spacemit_pin_to_reg(pctrl, spin->pin); pin is an unsigned int pin id, where 0 (GPIO_0 / gmac0_rxdv on K3) is a valid pin, so rejecting it here drops the PAD config write for the first pin of every group. On K3 Pico-ITX the GMAC RGMII group lists pin 0 as its first entry, so its drive-strength / bias configuration was silently ignored. The intended guard is against spacemit_get_pin() returning NULL when the pin id isn't in the SoC's pin table. Check spin instead, which both restores PAD setup for pin 0 and prevents a NULL deref on spin->pin.

  • Aug 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: seq: oss: Serialize readq reset state with q->lock snd_seq_oss_readq_clear() resets CVE-2026-80628 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: seq: oss: Serialize readq reset state with q->lock snd_seq_oss_readq_clear() resets qlen, head, and tail without q->lock even though the normal reader and producer paths serialize the same ring state under that spinlock. A reset can therefore race snd_seq_oss_readq_free() or snd_seq_oss_readq_put_event() and leave stale records in the queue, drop freshly queued ones, or report the wrong readiness after wakeup. KCSAN reports a data race between snd_seq_oss_readq_clear() and snd_seq_oss_readq_free(). Take q->lock while clearing the ring and resetting input_time. Factor the enqueue logic into a caller-locked helper so snd_seq_oss_readq_put_timestamp() updates its suppression state under the same lock instead of racing the reset path. The buggy scenario involves two paths, with each column showing the order within that path: reset path: locked readq updater: 1. snd_seq_oss_reset() or 1. A reader or callback producer release reaches takes q->lock on the same queue. snd_seq_oss_readq_clear(). 2. snd_seq_oss_readq_clear() 2. The updater tests or modifies

openssl_encrypt (pip package openssl-encrypt) versions <= 1.4.8 contain a CWD-relative configuration file resolution flaw in crypt_settings.py, where CONFIG_FILE (originally the absolute per-user path ~/.crypt_settings.json) is reassigned at line 84 to the bare relative name 'crypt_settings.json'. As a result, the legacy Tk GUI's SettingsTab reads and writes KDF settings from crypt_settings.json in the process launch (current working) directory instead of the user's home directory. An attacker who plants a malicious crypt_settings.json (e.g. sha256:1 with all memory-hard KDFs disabled) can silently downgrade encryption performed in that GUI session to roughly one hash round, bypassing the weak-KDF preflight and enabling offline brute-force attacks against the resulting ciphertext. • Aug 27, 2026Affected versions of Flowintel allow the LOG_FILE configuration value to be modified through system settings without restricting it to a filename inside the intCVE-2026-81743 · Other software · flowintel · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 7.5

Affected versions of Flowintel allow the LOG_FILE configuration value to be modified through system settings without restricting it to a filename inside the intended log directory. Because the application constructs the log destination from this configurable value, an administrator could set LOG_FILE to an arbitrary filesystem path. Since attackers can influence logged content, this enables controlled data to be written into unintended files. The upstream commit specifically describes an exploitation chain in which an attacker injects a template into a chosen file and subsequently abuses application rendering behavior to execute code. The patch removes LOG_FILE from the web-editable settings, introduces validate_log_file_name() to reject absolute paths, traversal, Windows paths, null bytes, and directory components, and centralizes log path construction through resolve_log_file_path(). Version impacted: >=3.3.0

Affected versions of Flowintel improperly trust configuration keys supplied to the alerts settings update endpoint. While configuration values were normalized to Python literals, the corresponding keys were used directly when constructing and replacing lines in conf/config_module.py. The vulnerable code used requester-controlled keys in both the regular expression and the generated assignment: f'{key} = {py_val}' and appended an assignment if the key was not already present. The modified Python configuration module was subsequently reloaded using importlib.reload(). This creates a code-generation boundary in which specially crafted configuration keys can alter the Python source structure and result in execution of attacker-controlled Python statements. Version impacted >=3.3.0

ZLMediaKit confines the downloadFile API to a configured set of root directories with a prefix comparison that does not account for directory boundaries. The configuration loader in server/WebApi.cpp builds each root with File::absolutePath("", item, true); because the relative-path argument is empty that helper returns the value without a trailing separator. The handler then accepts a requested path when start_with(file_path, root) holds, so a sibling directory whose name merely begins with the configured root string satisfies the test and is served. The only other guard rejects a path containing two dots, which this requires none of. The equivalent confinement check for the ordinary static file server in src/Http/HttpFileManager.cpp computes its root with a non-empty second argument, which appends the separator before comparing, and so is not affected. The endpoint requires the configured API secret, so this grants no privilege beyond what that secret already implies, but it reads files outside the directory the operator confined it to, and the reference container runs the server as root.

  • Aug 26, 2026FiftyOne renders a dataset field's description as markup.CVE-2026-80426 · Other software · voxel51 · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7

FiftyOne renders a dataset field's description as markup. The sidebar field-information component at app/packages/core/src/components/FieldLabelAndInfo/index.tsx passes the description string to React's dangerouslySetInnerHTML, and no layer between storage and render escapes or sanitises it; the neighbouring info values in the same component are rendered as React children and are escaped, so the description is the only raw path. A description is free-form text held in the dataset schema, so it persists in the database and travels with an exported or published dataset. Opening a dataset obtained from another party and hovering the field runs the stored markup in the application's origin. That origin is shared with the FiftyOne server, whose media route returns the contents of a caller-named absolute path and which is unauthenticated in the open-source server, so the injected script can read local files and reach the dataset and operator endpoints as the viewing user.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: SOF: ipc4-topology: Refresh copier IPC payload before widget setup The ipc_config_data buffer for copier widgets is built once during ipc_prepare (called from sof_pcm_setup_connected_widgets) and cached for reuse. For host copiers this buffer contains the copier_data with gtw_cfg.node_id (host DMA ID). For DAI copiers it additionally includes a dma_config_tlv trailer with stream_id and dma_channel_id for HDA link DMA. On suspend/resume, both host and link DMA streams are released and re-allocated with potentially different stream tags. The underlying copier_data and dma_config_tlv structures are correctly updated by host_config and sdw_hda_dai_hw_params respectively. However, since the widget list (spcm->stream[].list) persists across suspend, sof_pcm_hw_params skips sof_pcm_setup_connected_widgets and ipc_prepare never runs again to rebuild ipc_config_data. The stale cached payload is then sent to firmware with boot-time DMA channel assignments, causing DMA channel conflicts that lead to firmware errors and crashes. Fix this by refreshing copier_data and dma_config_tlv portions of ipc_config_data in sof_

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf: Reject exited events as group leaders perf_event_remove_on_exec() sets remove-on-exec events to the EXIT state and detaches their group relationships. The event's file descriptor can remain open, however, and perf_event_open() currently accepts that event as a group leader because its early validation rejects only REVOKED and DEAD events. A new sibling can consequently be linked to the detached leader. When the leader is closed, perf_group_detach() observes that its PERF_ATTACH_GROUP bit is already clear and skips the new sibling. The sibling then retains a group_leader pointer to the freed event. Reject group leaders in the EXIT state. Perform the check while holding the shared context mutex so that an exec in the target task cannot detach the leader between validation and group attachment. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ipset: fix refcount race between list:set GC and swap __ip_set_put_byindex() resolved the index to a set pointer under RCU, then took ip_set_ref_lock in __ip_set_put() to decrement set->ref. ip_set_swap() holds that same lock while swapping both the ip_set_list slots and the two sets' ref counters, so it can interleave between the dereference and the lock acquisition, leaving the caller to decrement a set whose reference already moved to the other index and hit BUG_ON(set->ref == 0). list_set_gc() reaches this from timer softirq, which the nfnl mutex does not serialize against swap: an expiring list:set member calls list_set_del() -> ip_set_put_byindex() while IPSET_CMD_SWAP runs on the referenced sets. Resolve the index and decrement under ip_set_ref_lock, as ip_set_swap() already does, keeping the refcount tied to the index rather than to a stale set pointer. kernel BUG at net/netfilter/ipset/ip_set_core.c:685! In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: regmap: sdw-mbq: don't call an unset readable_reg callback regmap_sdw_mbq_poll_busy() decides whether to poll the Function Busy bit by calling ctx->readable_reg(), which is a straight copy of config->readable_reg. That callback is optional: regmap_readable() treats a NULL ->readable_reg as "every register is readable", and drivers rely on that. es9356 and tac5xx2-sdw both build an MBQ regmap without one. Since commit ca1b11b36d82 ("regmap: sdw-mbq: Allow defers on undeferrable controls") the poll runs on every -ENODATA, not only for Controls the driver marked deferrable, so any of those devices answering COMMAND_IGNORED takes the kernel through a NULL function pointer. Treat a missing callback the way the rest of regmap does and poll.

  • Aug 26, 2026kas is a setup tool for bitbake based projects.CVE-2026-54548 · Other software · siemens · reported by GitHubLow 3.3

kas is a setup tool for bitbake based projects. Prior to 5.4, internal SSH key setup triggered by SSH_PRIVATE_KEY or SSH_PRIVATE_KEY_FILE creates ~/.ssh/config when no user-specific SSH configuration exists and adds a global Host * rule containing StrictHostKeyChecking no. In kas/libcmds.py, ssh_no_host_key_check() runs without checking ctx.managed_env, so the setting persists after kas exits and affects future SSH sessions by the same local user, extending beyond the intended short-lived continuous integration environment. A later SSH connection can therefore accept an attacker-controlled host key without verification, increasing the risk of a man-in-the-middle attack that compromises session confidentiality or integrity. This issue is fixed in version 5.4.

  • Aug 26, 2026OneUptime's webhook target check rejects private and loopback addresses given in IPv4 form and a small set of IPv6 forms, but has no case for the IPv4-mapped IPCVE-2026-80350 · Other software · OneUptime · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1

OneUptime's webhook target check rejects private and loopback addresses given in IPv4 form and a small set of IPv6 forms, but has no case for the IPv4-mapped IPv6 range. The webhook delivery path calls SSRFProtection.validateWebhookTargetIsSafe, and the host-literal screening inside Common/Server/Utils/SSRFProtection.ts, performed by isBlockedHostnameLiteral, rejects private and loopback IPv4 ranges and tests an IPv6 value against the unspecified address, the loopback, the link-local prefix and the unique-local prefixes. A value such as [::ffff:127.0.0.1] matches none of them. The value is also recognised as an address literal rather than a name, so the path that re-checks addresses obtained from resolution is not taken. The HTTP client treats the mapped form as the embedded IPv4 address and connects to it, so an authenticated project member who can configure a webhook can direct the server at loopback services, private network ranges and link-local metadata endpoints, and the response is recorded where the webhook result can be read. Version 12.0.7 adds handling for the mapped range.
