Oct 21, 2024In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix index out of bounds in DCN30 degamma hardware format translation ThisCVE-2024-49895 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix index out of bounds in DCN30 degamma hardware format translation This commit addresses a potential index out of bounds issue in the `cm3_helper_translate_curve_to_degamma_hw_format` function in the DCN30 color management module. The issue could occur when the index 'i' exceeds the number of transfer function points (TRANSFER_FUNC_POINTS). The fix adds a check to ensure 'i' is within bounds before accessing the transfer function points. If 'i' is out of bounds, the function returns false to indicate an error. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: fix UAF around queue destruction We currently do stuff like queuing the final destruction step on a random system wq, which will outlive the driver instance. With bad timing we can teardown the driver with one or more work workqueue still being alive leading to various UAF splats. Add a fini step to ensure user queues are properly torn down. At this point GuC should already be nuked so queue itself should no longer be referenced from hw pov. v2 (Matt B) - Looks much safer to use a waitqueue and then just wait for the xa_array to become empty before triggering the drain. Oct 21, 2024In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Add null check for set_output_gamma in dcn30_set_output_transfer_func ThiCVE-2024-47720 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Add null check for set_output_gamma in dcn30_set_output_transfer_func This commit adds a null check for the set_output_gamma function pointer in the dcn30_set_output_transfer_func function. Previously, set_output_gamma was being checked for nullity at line 386, but then it was being dereferenced without any nullity check at line 401. This could potentially lead to a null pointer dereference error if set_output_gamma is indeed null. To fix this, we now ensure that set_output_gamma is not null before dereferencing it. We do this by adding a nullity check for set_output_gamma before the call to set_output_gamma at line 401. If set_output_gamma is null, we log an error message and do not call the function. This fix prevents a potential null pointer dereference error. drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/hwss/dcn30/dcn30_hwseq.c:401 dcn30_set_output_transfer_func() error: we previously assumed 'mpc->funcs->set_output_gamma' could be null (see line 386) drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/hwss/dcn30/dcn30_hwseq.c 373 bool dcn30_set_output_transfer_func(struct dc *dc, 374

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Disable DMCUB timeout for DCN35 [Why] DMCUB can intermittently take longer than expected to process commands. Old ASIC policy was to continue while logging a diagnostic error - which works fine for ASIC without IPS, but with IPS this could lead to a race condition where we attempt to access DCN state while it's inaccessible, leading to a system hang when the NIU port is not disabled or register accesses that timeout and the display configuration in an undefined state. [How] We need to investigate why these accesses take longer than expected, but for now we should disable the timeout on DCN35 to avoid this race condition. Since the waits happen only at lower interrupt levels the risk of taking too long at higher IRQ and causing a system watchdog timeout are minimal.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/client: fix deadlock in show_meminfo() There is a real deadlock as well as sleeping in atomic() bug in here, if the bo put happens to be the last ref, since bo destruction wants to grab the same spinlock and sleeping locks. Fix that by dropping the ref using xe_bo_put_deferred(), and moving the final commit outside of the lock. Dropping the lock around the put is tricky since the bo can go out of scope and delete itself from the list, making it difficult to navigate to the next list entry. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Avoid race between dcn10_set_drr() and dc_state_destruct() dc_state_destruct() nulls the resource context of the DC state. The pipe context passed to dcn10_set_drr() is a member of this resource context. If dc_state_destruct() is called parallel to the IRQ processing (which calls dcn10_set_drr() at some point), we can end up using already nulled function callback fields of struct stream_resource. The logic in dcn10_set_drr() already tries to avoid this, by checking tg against NULL. But if the nulling happens exactly after the NULL check and before the next access, then we get a race. Avoid this by copying tg first to a local variable, and then use this variable for all the operations. This should work, as long as nobody frees the resource pool where the timing generators live. The logic in dcn35_set_drr() already tries to avoid this, by checking tg against NULL. But if the nulling happens exactly after the NULL check and before the next access, then we get a race. Avoid this by copying tg first to a local variable, and then use this variable for all the operations. This should work, as long as nobody frees the resource pool where the timing generators live. Sep 27, 2024In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panthor: Restrict high priorities on group_create We were allowing any users to createCVE-2024-46837 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panthor: Restrict high priorities on group_create We were allowing any users to create a high priority group without any permission checks. As a result, this was allowing possible denial of service. We now only allow the DRM master or users with the CAP_SYS_NICE capability to set higher priorities than PANTHOR_GROUP_PRIORITY_MEDIUM. As the sole user of that uAPI lives in Mesa and hardcode a value of MEDIUM [1], this should be safe to do. Additionally, as those checks are performed at the ioctl level, panthor_group_create now only check for priority level validity. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu/vcn: remove irq disabling in vcn 5 suspend We do not directly enable/disable VCN IRQ in vcn 5.0.0. And we do not handle the IRQ state as well. So the calls to disable IRQ and set state are removed. This effectively gets rid of the warining of "WARN_ON(!amdgpu_irq_enabled(adev, src, type))" in amdgpu_irq_put().

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
