Sep 17, 2026Obsidian Web MCP is a secure remote MCP server for Obsidian vaults.CVE-2026-54618 · Other software · jimprosser · reported by GitHubCritical 9.4
Obsidian Web MCP is a secure remote MCP server for Obsidian vaults. Prior to 0.2.0, /oauth/authorize issues an authorization code without a login, consent, or session check, and /oauth/token can exchange that code for the static VAULT_MCP_TOKEN without authenticating a client. An unauthenticated remote caller who can reach the intended tunnel deployment can therefore call /mcp and use vault_read, vault_write, vault_search, vault_list, vault_move, and vault_delete against the entire vault. Optional PKCE does not prevent an attacker-initiated flow, and unauthenticated /oauth/register also exposes a client_credentials path by returning the configured VAULT_OAUTH_CLIENT_SECRET. This issue is fixed in version 0.2.0.

Sep 17, 2026Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud.CVE-2026-45726 · Other software · siderolabs · reported by GitHubHigh 7.6
Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud. From 1.3.0 until 1.6.6 and 1.7.3, importing a standalone Talos cluster creates an ImportedClusterSecrets resource containing the cluster's complete CA secrets bundle. The access rules in internal/backend/runtime/omni/state_access.go allow an authenticated user with the Reader role to retrieve the resource through ResourceService if the importing actor has not rotated those secrets, exposing Kubernetes, Talos, and etcd CA private keys plus the service-account key. The Kubernetes CA private key permits certificate signing for privileged identities such as system:masters and provides control of the imported cluster outside Omni's authorization boundary, including its workloads, credentials, and secrets. This issue is fixed in versions 1.6.6 and 1.7.3.

Sep 17, 2026Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud.CVE-2026-45723 · Other software · siderolabs · reported by GitHubLow 2.7
Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud. Prior to 1.6.6 and 1.7.3, managementServer.CreateSchematic in internal/backend/grpc/schematics.go passes the caller-controlled TalosVersion field to imageFactoryClient.OverlaysVersions without validating it as a version. An authenticated Operator can submit traversal segments in TalosVersion, and url.URL.JoinPath normalizes them into unintended paths on the configured image-factory host. Omni then issues HTTP GET requests to those paths and reflects error-body content, enabling same-host endpoint probing and possible disclosure of internal diagnostics while preventing redirection to another host or write requests. This issue is fixed in versions 1.6.6 and 1.7.3.

Sep 17, 2026Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud.CVE-2026-45720 · Other software · siderolabs · reported by GitHubHigh 7
Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud. Prior to 1.6.6 and from 1.7.0 until 1.7.3, SAML.getSession in internal/pkg/auth/interceptor/saml.go checks SAMLAssertion.Used and marks it used in separate state operations. Concurrent requests carrying the same captured saml-session token can each observe the assertion as unused and obtain authentication as the victim before either update is visible. The attacker can invoke SAML-protected gRPC endpoints, use ConfirmPublicKey to create multiple persistent credentials tied to the victim, and generate audit entries attributed to the victim, with the resulting access potentially affecting confidentiality, integrity, and availability according to the victim's privileges. This issue is fixed in versions 1.6.6 and 1.7.3.

Verizon Cloud for Android (com.vcast.mediamanager) before 26.7.10 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows co-resident malicious applications to write attacker-controlled bytes outside the intended staging directory by supplying a crafted _display_name value containing path-traversal sequences through exported activities OneTouchUploadActivity and PrintShopCloudActivity. Attackers can exploit the unsanitized filename concatenation in the file-staging sink via ACTION_SEND or ACTION_SEND_MULTIPLE intents to achieve arbitrary file write and inject attacker-controlled content into the authenticated user's Verizon Cloud account without user interaction.

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/tegra241-cmdqv: Require exactly one Stream ID for a vSID tegra241_vintf_init_vsid() CVE-2026-90425 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/tegra241-cmdqv: Require exactly one Stream ID for a vSID tegra241_vintf_init_vsid() maps a guest vSID to a single physical Stream ID taken from master->streams[0], and only warns when the device does not have exactly one stream. A device with several streams gets only its first one mapped, so a guest vSID invalidation cannot reach the others' ATC and IOTLB entries; a device with none makes master->streams a ZERO_SIZE_PTR, read out of bounds. Reject the mapping with -EOPNOTSUPP if master->num_streams is not one.

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/vt-d: Tear down scalable-mode context on probe failure intel_pasid_setup_sm_context(CVE-2026-90241 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.2
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/vt-d: Tear down scalable-mode context on probe failure intel_pasid_setup_sm_context() walks a PCI device’s DMA aliases via pci_for_each_dma_alias() and programs a scalable-mode context entry for each RID. For a device with a dma_alias_mask, the callback is invoked once for the device’s own RID and once for each alias bit, all with the same pci_dev, so device_pasid_table_setup() runs for multiple RIDs. pci_for_each_dma_alias() stops at the first callback error. Therefore, a failure partway through the walk can leave context entries for already processed RIDs present and still pointing to the device’s PASID table. On this error path, intel_iommu_probe_device() currently jumps directly to intel_pasid_free_table(), which frees the PASID table without first tearing down those context entries. The IOMMU may then walk a present context entry whose PASID table pointer references freed memory. intel_iommu_release_device() already performs teardown before freeing the table. Apply the same ordering on the probe failure path. device_pasid_table_teardown() safely handles RIDs that were never programmed: iommu_contex

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/vt-d: Flush context cache with correct SID when tearing down aliases domain_context_CVE-2026-90240 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/vt-d: Flush context cache with correct SID when tearing down aliases domain_context_clear_one() and device_pasid_table_teardown() are both invoked once per DMA alias of a device. Each function locates the context entry using the bus/devfn pair provided by the pci_for_each_dma_alias() callback, then calls intel_context_flush_no_pasid(), which constructs a device-selective context-cache invalidation from info->bus and info->devfn (that is, always the requester ID of the device itself). As a result, for every alias other than the device’s own RID, the context entry that was just cleared in memory is never invalidated in the context cache. Hardware may continue using that stale cached entry. In the scalable-mode teardown path, intel_pasid_free_table() can then free the PASID directory still referenced by that stale entry, allowing the IOMMU to walk freed memory. Fix this by passing the source ID of the entry being torn down to intel_context_flush_no_pasid(), instead of deriving it from @info.

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: smbdirect: release pending child sockets outside the handler lock smbdirect_socket_deCVE-2026-90171 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: smbdirect: release pending child sockets outside the handler lock smbdirect_socket_destroy() releases the listener's pending/ready child sockets while still holding the listener's handler lock, the &id_priv->handler_mutex taken via rdma_lock_handler(), not sc->listen.lock, and before the listener's own rdma_destroy_id(). That ordering has one real consequence and one cosmetic one. The real one: smbdirect_socket_release() drops the child's last reference, which destroys the child's cm_id. Doing that before the listener's rdma_destroy_id() lets _cma_cancel_listens(), running from the listener's _destroy_id(), walk an already freed child id_priv, which KASAN catches as a slab-use-after-free during listener shutdown: [ 4758.909130] BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __mutex_lock+0x1469/0x1560 [ 4758.911450] Read of size 1 at addr ffff88821c381db4 by task ksmbd.control/1652 [ 4758.913262] Call Trace: [ 4758.913267] <TASK> [ 4758.913299] __mutex_lock+0x1469/0x1560 [ 4758.913408] _cma_cancel_listens+0x312/0x3b0 [ 4758.913413] _destroy_id+0x363/0xee0 [ 4758.913417] smbdirect_socket_destroy_sync+0x17d5/0x2440

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: serialize resident iomap reads with mrec_lock ntfs_read_iomap_begin_resident() walks the MFT record through ntfs_attr_lookup() -> ntfs_attr_find() without taking ni->mrec_lock, while ntfs_attr_record_resize(), ntfs_make_room_for_attr() and ntfs_resident_attr_record_add() memmove() the same base_ni->mrec buffer under that lock. map_mft_record() only takes a reference and does not serialize, so the reader can observe torn attribute length and offset fields while a writer is relocating the records. Sep 17, 2026pgAdmin 4's Backup tool appended the client-supplied 'database' field from the /backup/job/<sid>/object request to the pg_dump argument vector as a bare trailinCVE-2026-86864 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007High 8.7
pgAdmin 4's Backup tool appended the client-supplied 'database' field from the /backup/job/<sid>/object request to the pg_dump argument vector as a bare trailing positional argument, without validation. Because pg_dump parses its options with getopt_long, which permutes arguments, a value beginning with a dash was interpreted as an option rather than as a database name. A value such as --file=/absolute/path therefore overrode the storage-confined --file that pgAdmin had constructed earlier, causing pg_dump to write its output anywhere the pgAdmin process could write, outside the user's File Manager storage directory. This yields arbitrary file creation and overwrite as the operating-system account running pgAdmin, which can destroy pgAdmin's own configuration database and, depending on the target chosen, be escalated further. The same field additionally permitted connection-string injection. libpq expands a database name containing an equals sign into a full connection string, and keywords embedded there override the --host and --port that pgAdmin passes, so a value such as 'host=attacker.example port=5432 dbname=x' redirected pg_dump to a server of the attacker's choosing. Sep 17, 2026vm2 before 3.11.7 (affected versions <= 3.11.6) does not enforce the VM({ timeout }) option on code executed outside the synchronous VM#run() call.CVE-2026-92942 · Other software · patriksimek · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7
vm2 before 3.11.7 (affected versions <= 3.11.6) does not enforce the VM({ timeout }) option on code executed outside the synchronous VM#run() call. The timeout only wraps the single call to _runScript() via doWithTimeout() in lib/vm.js, and FinalizationRegistry and WeakRef are exposed to sandboxed code unmodified (they are not among the hardened globals in lib/setup-sandbox.js). Sandboxed code can register a FinalizationRegistry cleanup callback against an object and then drop the only strong reference to it; vm.run() returns within the configured timeout, but when the V8 garbage collector later reclaims the object it invokes the sandboxed cleanup callback outside any vm2 timeout accounting. A busy loop in that callback blocks the host event loop for an unbounded period, resulting in denial of service. The time of invocation depends on the garbage collector (e.g. under memory pressure or with --expose-gc).

Sep 16, 2026djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance.CVE-2026-61599 · Other software · djust-org · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, the djust live transport resolves the LiveView to mount from a client-supplied dotted path by calling `__import__(module_path, ...)`. The module is imported — running its top-level code (import side effects) — before the framework checks that the resolved object is a `LiveView` subclass and before any per-view authentication. The `LIVEVIEW_ALLOWED_MODULES` allowlist that should contain this is fail-open (`if allowed_modules:` — skipped when the setting is unset, the framework default) and uses loose `startswith` matching. An unauthenticated WebSocket client (the WS handshake does not require auth; per-view auth runs only after import + instantiate) can therefore send a `mount` / `live_redirect_mount` / `url_change` frame (or an SSE mount) with `view = "<any.importable.module>.AnyName"` and cause the server to import — and execute the top-level code of — any importable Python module by name. Version 1.0.7 fixes the issue with a fail-closed resolution gate (`djust._view_resolution.is_view_import_allowed`): a client view path resolves only if (a) its m

Sep 16, 2026djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance.CVE-2026-61596 · Other software · djust-org · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1
djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, djust's per-object authorization (`get_object` + `has_object_permission`, ADR-017) was enforced on the WebSocket mount and event paths but not on three other render entry points: (a) the initial HTTP GET render, (b) SPA `url_change` navigation, and (c) `{% live_render %}` embedded child views. An authenticated user could therefore view (and on some paths act on) an object they are not authorized for by loading the page directly, navigating to it via SPA url-change, or composing it as an embedded child — a classic IDOR / broken object-level access control on object-scoped views. This is fixed in djust 1.0.7. All render entry points now route through a shared `enforce_object_permission` chokepoint: HTTP GET returns 403, `url_change` emits a `permission_denied` frame and skips the render, and `{% live_render %}` (eager + lazy) refuses the embed. Views without a custom `get_object` are unaffected (no-op). No reliable workaround short of upgrading. Do not expose object-scoped views through the HTTP-GET / url_change / live_render paths until patched.

Sep 16, 2026djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance.CVE-2026-61589 · Other software · djust-org · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, the WebSocket `handle_mount` and `ViewRuntime._build_request` rebuild an `HttpRequest` via `RequestFactory().get(...)` with no `HTTP_HOST`, so `request.get_host()` defaulted to `"testserver"` on the live path. Host/subdomain/domain `TenantResolver`s then misresolved the tenant — `None` on the live path while the HTTP path resolved correctly. With `STRICT_MODE=False` the tenant-scoped managers returned unscoped rows (cross-tenant disclosure); with the default they returned an empty queryset (broken tenancy). This is fixed in djust 1.0.7. The handshake Host is extracted from the ASGI scope, validated against `ALLOWED_HOSTS` (the same logic as the CSWSH Origin gate, parsed with Django's `split_domain_port` so malformed Hosts are rejected at the boundary), and propagated — with the TLS scheme — into the reconstructed request, so live-path tenant resolution matches HTTP exactly. There is no known workaround on the live path short of upgrading. Users are most exposed when combined with `STRICT_MODE=False`.

Sep 16, 2026djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance.CVE-2026-61588 · Other software · djust-org · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, when a Django `Model` instance is assigned to a public view attribute, djust serialized it to the client with no sensitive-field denylist — sending fields such as `password` (the hash), privilege flags (e.g. `is_staff` / `is_superuser`), tokens, and other PII to the browser. Because exposing model objects to templates is a normal djust pattern, this could leak credentials/PII without the developer realizing the full object crossed the wire. This is fixed in djust 1.0.7. Model serialization applies a secure-by-default sensitive-field denylist (password/hash/token/secret-style fields and known privilege flags are withheld) with an identity-subset fallback. As a workaround, keep `Model` instances on `_private` attributes and expose only the specific fields needed, until patched.

djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, many djust built-in component template tags (`djust.components.templatetags.*`) render a developer/user-supplied URL into an `href` / `action` attribute, HTML-escaping it with `conditional_escape` but never validating the URL scheme. HTML escaping prevents attribute breakout but does not neutralize a `javascript:` URI (which needs no escapable characters), so a URL value of `javascript:alert(document.cookie)` lands verbatim in `<a href="javascript:alert(document.cookie)">` and executes in the victim's session on click. Version 1.0.7 contains a fix. As a workaround, do not pass user-controllable URLs to the affected built-in component tags; pre-validate URL schemes in application code before binding them to component arguments.

Sep 16, 2026djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance.CVE-2026-61594 · Other software · djust-org · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1
djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, the live (WebSocket) transport authorizes a mount via `check_view_auth`, not Django's `View.dispatch()` chain. As a result, standard Django authorization — `LoginRequiredMixin`, `PermissionRequiredMixin`, `UserPassesTestMixin`, `@method_decorator(login_required, name="dispatch")`, and custom `dispatch()` guards — and the djust admin extension's staff gate (applied only in the HTTP `as_view` wrapper) were enforced on the initial HTTP GET but silently bypassed over WebSocket, where all events and state flow. An anonymous or under-privileged client could open a WebSocket and mount such a view — including admin list/create/change/delete — and dispatch its handlers. This is fixed in djust 1.0.7. `check_view_auth` now honors the Django `AccessMixin` family on every transport; a new system check S004 fails loud at startup on auth patterns the runtime cannot safely replay (decorator/overridden-`dispatch` forms); and the admin base mixin declares `login_required = True` + an active-staff `check_permissions` gate. As a workaround, gate views using djust's `lo

Sep 16, 2026djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance.CVE-2026-61592 · Other software · djust-org · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4
djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, SSE sessions were keyed solely by a client-chosen `session_id` with no binding to the authenticated user — a control the WebSocket transport has but that was dropped on SSE. An attacker who learns (or a victim who leaks) a `session_id` could connect to the message endpoint and dispatch event handlers that execute with the victim's identity and state. This is fixed in djust 1.0.7. Each SSE session is bound to its owning principal at creation and cross-principal access is rejected; SSE session creation is additionally capped per principal. As a workaround, disable the SSE transport.

djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, for views that opt into state snapshots, the snapshot `state_json` embedded in the client page was restored on reconnect as trusted view state with no integrity check. A client could edit the unsigned `state_json` in their page and return it in the reconnect mount frame to inject arbitrary view attributes — e.g. flip `is_admin` to `True`, or change `account_id` / `balance` — escalating privilege or tampering with business state held in public view attributes (the normal djust pattern). This issue is fixed in djust 1.0.7. State snapshots are signed; unsigned or forged snapshots are rejected on the back-navigation restore path. As a workaround, do not enable state snapshots; do not hold authorization/ownership state in public view attributes.

Sep 16, 2026A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in the UnifiedLogin service of Altium Enterprise Server.CVE-2026-92808 · Other software · Altium · reported by 4760f414-e1ae-4ff1-bdad-c7a9c3538b79Critical 10
A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in the UnifiedLogin service of Altium Enterprise Server. An unauthenticated network attacker can cause the server to issue outbound HTTP requests to a destination of the attacker's choosing, including internal services that are reachable only from the server itself. One such internal service exposes server configuration and credential material without authentication, relying only on the request originating locally. Because the forged requests originate from the server process, that check is satisfied. An unauthenticated attacker can therefore retrieve stored credentials and use them to obtain an administrative session, resulting in full compromise of the server and all of its services. Altium 365 cloud deployments are not affected, as the affected endpoint is disabled in cloud mode.

Sep 16, 2026kkFileView >= 4.2.0 is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF).CVE-2026-88592 · Other software · reported by MITRECritical 9.1
kkFileView >= 4.2.0 is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF). The cross-origin file proxy endpoint /getCorsFile is protected by TrustHostFilter against the trust.host whitelist. However, the URL parameter validated by the filter is not the same parameter the controller actually fetches: the filter validates the first non-empty parameter in a fixed priority order, while the controller only reads and fetches urlPath. By supplying both urlPath=<real target> and url=<whitelisted decoy address> in the same request, the decoy passes validation while the unvalidated real target is fetched server-side — and the response body is echoed back to the attacker.

Sep 16, 2026djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance.CVE-2026-61595 · Other software · djust-org · reported by GitHubHigh 7.7
djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, `djust.tenants` isolation was enforced only on the HTTP path. The current tenant was stored in `threading.local()` and set exclusively by the HTTP-only `TenantMiddleware`, so on the live (WebSocket/SSE) path `get_current_tenant()` was always `None` during mount and every event handler — and the tenant-aware `QuerySet` manager failed OPEN (returned the unfiltered queryset, ignoring `STRICT_MODE`), disclosing every tenant's rows to whoever held the socket. `threading.local` was additionally shared across connections on the `sync_to_async` executor thread. This issue is fixed in djust 1.0.7. Tenant storage moved to a `contextvars.ContextVar` (per async task); the resolved tenant is bound around WS/SSE mount and every dispatch; both managers scope the base queryset once and fail CLOSED (`.none()` under the default `STRICT_MODE`); and system check S006 warns when `STRICT_MODE=False`. No known workarounds are available on the live path.

Sep 16, 2026djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance.CVE-2026-61593 · Other software · djust-org · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1
djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, the SSE client→server POST endpoints are `@csrf_exempt` and the SSE GET stream endpoint had no Origin check, so a cross-origin page could drive a victim-cookie-authenticated SSE session: force the victim's browser to GET the stream URL (which creates and mounts a LiveView as the victim) and POST to the message endpoint with `credentials: include` to fire state-changing event handlers as the victim. The URL `session_id` is client-chosen (validated only for UUID *format*), so it is not a CSRF token, and a JSON body sent as `text/plain` is a CORS simple request with no preflight. The issue is fixed in 1.0.7. All three SSE endpoints validate the request `Origin` against `ALLOWED_HOSTS` (mirroring the WebSocket CSWSH defense) and reject cross-origin requests with 403; the POST endpoints additionally require `Content-Type: application/json` (415 otherwise), closing the `text/plain` simple-request bypass. As a workaround, disable the SSE transport, or front it with a proxy that enforces an Origin allowlist.

Sep 16, 2026Improper preservation of permissions in the Avast sandbox minifilter driver (aswSnx.sys) on Windows allows a local, low-privileged attacker executing inside theCVE-2026-82964 · Other software · Gen Digital · reported by security@nortonlifelock.comHigh 8.8
Improper preservation of permissions in the Avast sandbox minifilter driver (aswSnx.sys) on Windows allows a local, low-privileged attacker executing inside the sandbox to escape file isolation and escalate to SYSTEM. When the sandbox virtualizes a file it copies the original security descriptor, but the driver opened the virtualization target object with GENERIC_WRITE and FILE_WRITE_ATTRIBUTES only, omitting WRITE_DAC. Every attempt to apply the original DACL therefore failed, and the failure was discarded silently, leaving virtualized copies of sensitive files with permissive permissions. Because the IRP_MJ_CREATE callback additionally did not strip WRITE_DAC for sensitive directories, a sandboxed process could rewrite the security descriptor of a virtualized object, read the virtualized copy of the SAM database, extract local NTLM password hashes and execute code as SYSTEM. The absence of an IRP_MJ_SET_SECURITY callback in the driver's operation registration table is a related defense-in-depth gap, but it is not the control that prevents this attack.
