• May 14, 2026Stack buffer overflow in PostgreSQL module "refint" allows an unprivileged database user to execute arbitrary code as the operating system user running the dataCVE-2026-6637 · Other software · Postgresql · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007High 8.8

Stack buffer overflow in PostgreSQL module "refint" allows an unprivileged database user to execute arbitrary code as the operating system user running the database. A distinct attack is possible if the application declares a user-controlled column as a "refint" cascade primary key and facilitates user-controlled updates to that column. In that case, a SQL injection allows a primary key update value provider to execute arbitrary SQL as the database user performing the primary key update. Versions before PostgreSQL 18.4, 17.10, 16.14, 15.18, and 14.23 are affected.

  • May 13, 2026Next.js is a React framework for building full-stack web applications.CVE-2026-44572 · Other software · vercel · reported by GitHubLow 3.7

Next.js is a React framework for building full-stack web applications. From 12.2.0 to before 15.5.16 and 16.2.5, an external client could send a x-nextjs-data header on a normal request to a path handled by middleware that returns a redirect. When that happened, the middleware/proxy could treat the request as a data request and replace the standard Location redirect header with the internal x-nextjs-redirect header. Browsers do not follow x-nextjs-redirect, so the response became an unusable redirect for normal clients. If the application was deployed behind a CDN or reverse proxy that caches 3xx responses without varying on this header, a single attacker request could poison the cached redirect response for the affected path. Subsequent visitors could then receive a cached redirect response without a Location header, causing a denial of service for that redirect path until the cache entry expired or was purged. This vulnerability is fixed in 15.5.16 and 16.2.5.

Micronaut Framework is a JVM-based full stack Java framework designed for building modular, easily testable JVM applications. Prior to 4.10.22, the bundleCache is keyed by (Locale, baseName) where the locale originates from the HTTP Accept-Language header. In applications that explicitly register a ResourceBundleMessageSource bean and serve HTML error responses, an unauthenticated attacker can exhaust heap memory by sending requests with large numbers of unique Accept-Language values, each causing a new entry in the unbounded bundleCache. Micronaut Framework is a JVM-based full stack Java framework designed for building modular, easily testable JVM applications. From 4.3.0 to before 4.10.22, 3.10.6, and 3.8.14, TimeConverterRegistrar caches DateTimeFormatter instances in an unbounded ConcurrentHashMap<String, DateTimeFormatter> whose key is derived from the @Format annotation pattern concatenated with the locale from the HTTP Accept-Language header. Because Locale.forLanguageTag() accepts arbitrary BCP 47 private-use extensions (en-x-a001, en-x-a002, …), an unauthenticated attacker can generate an unlimited number of unique cache keys by sending requests with novel locale tags, growing the cache until heap memory is exhausted and the JVM crashes. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nft_set_pipapo: fix stack out-of-bounds read in pipapo_drop() pipapo_drop() passes rulemap[i + 1].n to pipapo_unmap() as the to_offset argument on every iteration, including the last one where i == m->field_count - 1. This reads one element past the end of the stack-allocated rulemap array (declared as rulemap[NFT_PIPAPO_MAX_FIELDS] with NFT_PIPAPO_MAX_FIELDS == 16). Although pipapo_unmap() returns early when is_last is true without using the to_offset value, the argument is evaluated at the call site before the function body executes, making this a genuine out-of-bounds stack read confirmed by KASAN: BUG: KASAN: stack-out-of-bounds in pipapo_drop+0x50c/0x57c [nf_tables] Read of size 4 at addr ffff8000810e71a4 This frame has 1 object: [32, 160) 'rulemap' The buggy address is at offset 164 -- exactly 4 bytes past the end of the rulemap array. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (pmbus/q54sj108a2) fix stack overflow in debugfs read The q54sj108a2_debugfs_read function suffers from a stack buffer overflow due to incorrect arguments passed to bin2hex(). The function currently passes 'data' as the destination and 'data_char' as the source. Because bin2hex() converts each input byte into two hex characters, a 32-byte block read results in 64 bytes of output. Since 'data' is only 34 bytes (I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX + 2), this writes 30 bytes past the end of the buffer onto the stack. Additionally, the arguments were swapped: it was reading from the zero-initialized 'data_char' and writing to 'data', resulting in all-zero output regardless of the actual I2C read. Fix this by: 1. Expanding 'data_char' to 66 bytes to safely hold the hex output. 2. Correcting the bin2hex() argument order and using the actual read count. 3. Using a pointer to select the correct output buffer for the final simple_read_from_buffer call.

  • May 8, 2026Instances deployed via the Proxmox extension allow unauthorized access to instances belonging to other tenants.CVE-2026-25199 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.1

Instances deployed via the Proxmox extension allow unauthorized access to instances belonging to other tenants. This issue affects Apache CloudStack: from 4.21.0.0 through 4.22.0.0. The Proxmox extension for CloudStack improperly uses a user-editable instance setting, proxmox_vmid, to associate CloudStack instances with Proxmox virtual machines. Because this value is not restricted or validated against tenant ownership and Proxmox VM IDs are predictable, a non-privileged attacker can modify the setting to reference a VM belonging to another account. This allows unauthorized cross-tenant access and enables full control over the targeted VM, including starting, stopping, and destroying the virtual machine. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.22.0.1, which fixes this issue. As a workaround for the existing installations, editing of the proxmox_vmid instance detail by users can be prevented by adding this detail name to the global configuration parameter - user.vm.denied.details.

Account users are allowed by default to register templates to be downloaded directly to the primary storage for deploying instances using the KVM hypervisor. Due to missing file name sanitization, an attacker can register malicious templates to execute arbitrary code on the KVM hosts. This can result in the compromise of resource integrity and confidentiality, data loss, denial of service, and availability of the KVM-based infrastructure managed by CloudStack. Users are recommended to upgrade to Apache CloudStack versions 4.20.3.0 or 4.22.0.1, or later, which fixes this issue.

In OpenStack Cyborg before 16.0.1, the Accelerator Request (ARQ) API does not enforce project ownership at any layer. The project_id column in the database is never populated (NULL for every ARQ), database queries have no project filtering, and policy checks are self-referential (the authorize_wsgi decorator compares the caller's project_id with itself rather than the target resource). A vulnerability in the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) subsystem of Cisco 350 Series Managed Switches (SG350) and Cisco 350X Series Stackable Managed Switches (SG350X) firmware could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. This vulnerability is due to improper error handling when parsing response data for a specific SNMP request. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specific SNMP request to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the device to reload unexpectedly, resulting in a DoS condition. This vulnerability affects SNMP versions 1, 2c, and 3. To exploit this vulnerability through SNMPv2c or earlier, the attacker must know a valid read-write or read-only SNMP community string for the affected system. To exploit this vulnerability through SNMPv3, the attacker must have valid SNMP user credentials for the affected system.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: qrtr: Drop the MHI auto_queue feature for IPCR DL channels MHI stack offers the 'auto_queue' feature, which allows the MHI stack to auto queue the buffers for the RX path (DL channel). Though this feature simplifies the client driver design, it introduces race between the client drivers and the MHI stack. For instance, with auto_queue, the 'dl_callback' for the DL channel may get called before the client driver is fully probed. This means, by the time the dl_callback gets called, the client driver's structures might not be initialized, leading to NULL ptr dereference. Currently, the drivers have to workaround this issue by initializing the internal structures before calling mhi_prepare_for_transfer_autoqueue(). But even so, there is a chance that the client driver's internal code path may call the MHI queue APIs before mhi_prepare_for_transfer_autoqueue() is called, leading to similar NULL ptr dereference. This issue has been reported on the Qcom X1E80100 CRD machines affecting boot. So to properly fix all these races, drop the MHI 'auto_queue' feature altogether and let the client driver (QRTR) manage the
