    Issue summary: The DTLS retransmission logic does not correctly handle a handshake message write that is suspended part-way through. The retransmitted message can be read past the message buffer and the retransmission overwrites the internal state the suspended write needs to resume correctly. Impact summary: The retransmitted message can disclose a heap memory to the peer as plaintext handshake data or cause a crash and a Denial of Service when the read reaches an unmapped memory region. CWE: CWE-125: Out-of-bounds Read Description: DTLS handshake messages can be written out in multiple fragments, and a write can suspend mid-message (returning WANT_WRITE) if the underlying transport temporarily cannot accept more data. While such a write is suspended, the DTLS retransmission timer may independently fire and ask the retransmission logic to resend an earlier, already-acknowledged-as-sent message from its retransmit queue. The retransmission logic reused the same internal buffer and position tracking as the message that was still being written, without resetting the position back to the start of the message being retransmitted. As a result the retransmission was read starting fro

  • Sep 29, 2026An improper authorization vulnerability exists in the handling of sub-workflow tasks.CVE-2026-81569 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 4.3

    An improper authorization vulnerability exists in the handling of sub-workflow tasks. An authenticated user who does not have permission to access a target project can reference and invoke a workflow belonging to that project through a sub-workflow task. The system does not properly verify whether the user has permission to execute the referenced workflow or access its project. As a result, the user can bypass project-level authorization controls and cause workflows in unauthorized projects to be executed. Successful exploitation may allow unauthorized execution of workflow tasks and access to the resources or data available to the target workflow. This issue affects Apache DolphinScheduler: before 3.4.3. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.4.3, which fixes the issue.

    Sliver C2 framework version 1.7.7 and earlier contains an unhandled panic vulnerability in the operator gRPC handler that allows an attacker controlling a compromised implant to crash the entire teamserver by returning a malformed or empty Download response. Attackers can send zero-length or 1-3 byte data payloads through a hostile implant session to trigger an out-of-bounds slice access in the vendored Binject library's BinaryMagic function, which propagates unrecovered through the operator gRPC interceptor chain and terminates the server process, affecting all connected operators.

  • Sep 28, 2026parse_write_op() in subsys/net/lib/lwm2m/lwm2m_message_handling.c handles inbound CoAP WRITE/CREATE requests that carry a Block1 option.CVE-2026-18746 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 5.9

    parse_write_op() in subsys/net/lib/lwm2m/lwm2m_message_handling.c handles inbound CoAP WRITE/CREATE requests that carry a Block1 option. For the first block of a transfer it called init_block_ctx() and then immediately stored the peer-selected block size with block_ctx->ctx.block_size = block_size before inspecting the return code. init_block_ctx() sets the caller's pointer to NULL and returns -ENOMEM when no entry of the static block1_contexts[] pool is free or timed out, so that store dereferences a NULL pointer. The pool holds CONFIG_LWM2M_NUM_BLOCK1_CONTEXT entries (default 3) and an entry is only reclaimed once its transfer completes, fails, or ages past 30 seconds. A peer that reaches the client's LwM2M socket can therefore start three block-wise writes on three distinct object paths with the CoAP More bit set and leave them incomplete, then send the first block of a fourth write on a new path to reach the unguarded dereference. Reachability is gated only by the connected UDP socket's source-address filter unless CONFIG_LWM2M_DTLS_SUPPORT is enabled — which has no default — so in a NoSec deployment an on-path or address-spoofing attacker needs no credentials; the same sequen

    The userspace verifier z_vrfy_rtio_sqe_copy_in_get_handles() in subsys/rtio/rtio_syscalls.c (subsys/rtio/rtio_handlers.c before v4.3.0) validated the RTIO object handle and the sqes input array, but not the handle out-parameter. On the first loop iteration it executed *handle = sqe, storing the kernel address of the newly acquired submission-queue entry through a pointer taken verbatim from user mode, with no K_SYSCALL_MEMORY_WRITE check in front of it. Any user-mode thread that has been granted a struct rtio kernel object can invoke the syscall with an arbitrary address in handle. That is the ordinary way an unprivileged thread uses the RTIO API, for example via sensor_read_async_mempool() or the async ADC helpers, which call rtio_sqe_copy_in_get_handles() internally. The store happens in supervisor mode before any submission-entry validation, so it fires regardless of whether the SQE contents are subsequently rejected. Only builds with CONFIG_USERSPACE and CONFIG_RTIO are affected; without CONFIG_USERSPACE the verifier is not compiled and the caller is already privileged. The write address is fully attacker-chosen and the written value is a pointer into the caller's own RTIO ri

  • Sep 26, 2026MONAI through 1.6.0 contains an eval injection vulnerability in _get_fake_spatial_shape() in monai/bundle/scripts.py.CVE-2026-100842 · Other software · Project-MONAI · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.3

    MONAI through 1.6.0 contains an eval injection vulnerability in _get_fake_spatial_shape() in monai/bundle/scripts.py. The function validates shape expressions with a helper that walks the AST and only collects ast.Name nodes, rejecting any name other than 'p' or 'n', before passing the string to eval(). Expressions built solely from constants and attribute, subscript, or call nodes (for example "(1).__class__.__bases__[0].__subclasses__()" or "int.__class__.__init__.__globals__") contain no ast.Name nodes and therefore bypass the allowlist. Because the shape value originates from bundle metadata consumed by _get_real_input_data and verify_net_in_out (reachable through the bundle 'verify_net_in_out' CLI flow), an attacker who can influence a bundle's metadata can escape the eval sandbox via object introspection chains and achieve code execution in this non-default flow.

    vm2 before 3.12.2 does not apply host-side Promise rejection handling in the sandbox-to-host construct trap. In BaseHandler, the apply trap calls markHostPromiseHandled() on the returned value, but the adjacent construct path returns the result of Reflect.construct without the same sanitization. If an embedder exposes a constructable host function whose constructor returns a native rejected Promise, an untrusted script executed via VM.run can invoke it with `new` and ignore the result; the rejected host Promise crosses the bridge unhandled and, under Node's strict unhandled-rejection policy, is promoted to an uncaught exception that terminates the host process.

  • Sep 26, 2026Budibase (@budibase/server) before 3.45.0 builds MySQL and MSSQL column-rename DDL in packages/backend-core/src/sql/sqlTable.ts by interpolating identifiers dirCVE-2026-100683 · Other software · budibase · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.9

    Budibase (@budibase/server) before 3.45.0 builds MySQL and MSSQL column-rename DDL in packages/backend-core/src/sql/sqlTable.ts by interpolating identifiers directly into a raw query string (backtick-quoted for MySQL, a single-quoted sp_rename literal for MSSQL) without applying the project's quoteMySqlIdentifier / quoteSqlServerIdentifier helpers. An attacker with DDL rights on a connected MySQL/MSSQL datasource can create a column whose name contains a backtick (MySQL) or single quote (MSSQL) plus additional SQL; Budibase's schema introspection stores the name verbatim, and when a Budibase builder later renames that column through the UI (POST /api/tables with _rename.old), the embedded quote character terminates the identifier and the injected SQL is executed. Because the MySQL connection is opened with multipleStatements: true, stacked statements run as Budibase's datasource user, allowing arbitrary reads, writes, or destructive operations on the connected database outside Budibase's row/table permission model. Fixed in 3.45.0.

    The Comments plugin (getgrav/grav-plugin-comments) for Grav CMS through version 1.2.10 registers an admin handler that returns comment data as JSON without any authentication check. The handler branches on isAdmin(), which only indicates that the admin service is registered on the current route rather than that the visitor is authenticated, and it echoes the JSON and calls exit() during the plugins stage, before the classic Admin plugin would render its login screen. On a site using the classic Admin plugin with Comments enabled (the default), an unauthenticated remote attacker can request /admin/comments/page:<n> (e.g. page:0.001) and retrieve every comment from the last 7 days, including each commenter's email address and the absolute server filesystem path of the data file. Sites running the Grav 2.0 Admin Next stack (admin2 + api) are not affected via this path. SiYuan before v3.8.4 does not validate the sender or restrict recipients in the 'siyuan-send-windows' IPC handler of the Electron main process (app/electron/main.js). The handler ignores event.sender and forwards any received payload to every BrowserWindow returned by BrowserWindow.getAllWindows(), including windows belonging to other opened workspaces. A renderer connected to an attacker-controlled remote kernel can therefore send {cmd: "lockscreenByMode"} and have it delivered across the workspace boundary; a sibling workspace window whose lockScreenMode is set to 1 invokes lockScreen(). Capgo (Cap-go/capgo.app) server backend Supabase functions contain an incorrect authorization flaw in the API-key bundle promotion path. The PUT /bundle endpoint, available to "all" and "write" API keys, dispatches to setChannel, which authorizes with checkPermission(c, 'channel.promote_bundle', { appId: body.app_id }) and omits the request's channel_id. Because the omitted scope field is passed to rbac_check_permission_direct as SQL NULL, and channel-scope override evaluation is gated on p_channel_id IS NOT NULL, per-channel allow/deny overrides are never evaluated. A principal holding app-level channel.promote_bundle (granted by default to the app_developer and app_uploader roles) can therefore promote a bundle to a channel for which an explicit per-channel deny override exists, updating public.channels.version for the supplied channel_id; the target channel is only validated after authorization. The issue is confirmed on main at commit de66fa51e7ff2f50283cc1455c3d80ab3eb0ae43 and likely earlier versions; no patched version is known at the time of publication.

    OpenClaw (npm package 'openclaw') before 2026.7.1 improperly handles case sensitivity in the model-facing cron tool: a mixed-case payload kind can pass the agent-facing shell-execution guard and later normalize into a command job. An actor able to steer a tool-enabled agent can therefore create a persistent cron job that executes attacker-selected commands with the privileges of the OpenClaw process user, resulting in access to host files and credentials and impact to scheduled service availability. The issue is limited to cron jobs created or edited through the model-facing cron tool; direct CLI and authorized Gateway scheduling surfaces are trusted operator controls. Fixed in 2026.7.1.

    OpenClaw (npm package openclaw) versions >= 2026.5.2 and < 2026.8.1 contain an incorrect authorization vulnerability in WhatsApp group handling. A group sender who is admitted for ordinary messages but denied by commands.allowFrom or owner command authorization can issue the /new <model> command to reset the shared group session and persist a provider and model override. This allows a command-denied group member to select a provider and model already permitted by the operator for subsequent turns in the shared group session, potentially changing provider routing, cost, data flow, or availability. It does not allow adding a new provider or host command execution. The issue is fixed in version 2026.8.1.

    OpenClaw (npm package 'openclaw') versions >= 2026.5.28 and < 2026.8.1 mishandle archive listings in the tar.bz2 skill installer: bounded command-output suffixes were treated as complete listings of the archive. A crafted .tar.bz2/.tbz2 skill archive can push prohibited entries out of both retained listings so that entry-count and size checks pass, and the archive is then extracted in full. If an operator approves installation of such a malicious or compromised skill archive, over-limit files or entry counts are persisted in the skill tools directory, consuming disk space or inodes. The issue bypasses OpenClaw's extraction budgets but does not by itself execute archive contents. Fixed in 2026.8.1.

  • Sep 25, 2026Missing Authorization in the askpass escape code handler in kitty from 0.25.0 before 0.49.0 allows a local user other than the one running the terminal to obtaiCVE-2026-95835 · Other software · Kovid Goyal · reported by 4daa8cea-433a-44bd-9456-53b127fc289aMedium 5.6

    Missing Authorization in the askpass escape code handler in kitty from 0.25.0 before 0.49.0 allows a local user other than the one running the terminal to obtain the text typed into a prompt that kitty itself displays, because handle_remote_askpass() in kitty/window.py opens the POSIX shared memory object named in the escape code, parses a prompt definition out of it, and writes the user's answer back into an object of that same name, without at any point checking that the object is owned by the user running kitty or that its permissions exclude other users. The equivalent consumer of the same SharedMemory class in the ssh kitten performs exactly that check; the askpass path did not. The handler is reached through a device control string processed from the byte stream of the window, so the attacker must also cause bytes of their choosing to be displayed by the victim's terminal. Where the POSIX shared memory namespace is shared between the two users, a second local user can create an object with permissions that allow the victim to read and write it, cause the victim's kitty to render a prompt of the attacker's choosing, including a masked password prompt, and read the typed secret

  • Sep 25, 2026Missing Authorization in the drop handling path of the drag and drop protocol in kitty from 0.47.0 before 0.49.0 allows a program writing to the terminal to obtCVE-2026-80432 · Other software · Kovid Goyal · reported by 4daa8cea-433a-44bd-9456-53b127fc289aMedium 6

    Missing Authorization in the drop handling path of the drag and drop protocol in kitty from 0.47.0 before 0.49.0 allows a program writing to the terminal to obtain the contents of files dragged over the window even when the user never completes the drop, because drop_enqueue_request() in kitty/dnd.c serves a drag data request without first checking the drop state of the window, so a client that issues the request while a drag is merely hovering receives the data offered for the drag. In the same file, drop_left_child(), which runs when the drag leaves the window without a drop having occurred, releases the offered MIME list but retains the pending request state, the open file descriptor and its main loop transfer timer, the directory handles, the URI list and the pending MIME name, so a client can continue to read through a retained directory handle, and an in-flight file transfer continues to stream, when no drag is in progress. The file contents are read from the filesystem by the kitty process itself using the paths the drag source offered. This results in disclosure of the contents of files the user moved over the window without ever releasing them into it.

  • Sep 25, 2026Piwigo before v16.4.0 is vulnerable to arbitrary file read and remote code execution in image upload handling when using the Imagick library due to insufficientCVE-2026-85750 · Other software · Piwigo · reported by GitHubHigh 7.2

    Piwigo before v16.4.0 is vulnerable to arbitrary file read and remote code execution in image upload handling when using the Imagick library due to insufficient validation and unsafe processing of user-supplied image files. By abusing format confusion (e.g., disguising SVG content as PNG), an attacker can trigger unintended interpretation of embedded SVG elements that reference local files. In more advanced scenarios, the Imagick support for Magick Scripting Language (MSL) may be abused to process attacker-controlled instructions, potentially leading to unauthorized server-side file writes and remote code execution, depending on configuration. This has been patched in 16.4.0.

    Improper Neutralization of Special Elements in Output Used by a Downstream Component in the colour control escape code handler in kitty from 0.47.3 before 0.49.0 allows a program writing to the terminal to execute an arbitrary command in the user's shell, because color_control() in kitty/window.py answers a query for an unrecognised field name by placing that field name into the reply, and write_escape_code_to_child() in kitty/screen.c then writes the reply to the pseudoterminal master, where it is not distinguishable from input typed by the user, without neutralising it for the shell that reads it. The payload is reduced to printable ASCII before the field name is echoed, which is the restriction introduced in 0.47.3 as the fix for CVE-2026-54057, and the record and field separators ; and = are consumed as delimiters, but every other printable character survives, which is sufficient to compose a shell command. A newline is available from handle_remote_ssh() in kitty/window.py, which writes the bytes yielded by get_ssh_data() in kittens/ssh/utils.py, the first of which begin with a newline, to the pseudoterminal master before any credential carried in the request is checked. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: fix a TOCTOU race in SCTP_CMD_TIMER_START The SCTP_CMD_TIMER_START handler checks timer_pending() before calling timer_reduce(). The timer can expire and detach between these operations, causing timer_reduce() to rearm the timer without taking the association reference required for the newly armed timer. The timer callback later unconditionally drops its association reference, which can leave the association reference count unbalanced and result in use-after-free during association teardown. Use the return value of timer_reduce() to determine whether the timer was actually armed. Take the association reference only when timer_reduce() successfully starts a new timer, closing the race between checking the timer state and rearming it. This issue was reported by Nico Yip (@_cyeaa_) working with TrendAI Zero Day Initiative.
