May 2, 2024In Apache ActiveMQ 6.x, the default configuration doesn't secure the API web context (where the Jolokia JMX REST API and the Message REST API are located).CVE-2024-32114 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 8.5
In Apache ActiveMQ 6.x, the default configuration doesn't secure the API web context (where the Jolokia JMX REST API and the Message REST API are located). It means that anyone can use these layers without any required authentication. Potentially, anyone can interact with the broker (using Jolokia JMX REST API) and/or produce/consume messages or purge/delete destinations (using the Message REST API). To mitigate, users can update the default conf/jetty.xml configuration file to add authentication requirement: <bean id="securityConstraintMapping" class="org.eclipse.jetty.security.ConstraintMapping"> <property name="constraint" ref="securityConstraint" /> <property name="pathSpec" value="/" /> </bean> Or we encourage users to upgrade to Apache ActiveMQ 6.1.2 where the default configuration has been updated with authentication by default.

May 1, 2024In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: SUNRPC: fix a memleak in gss_import_v2_context The ctx->mech_used.data allocated by kmemduCVE-2023-52653 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: SUNRPC: fix a memleak in gss_import_v2_context The ctx->mech_used.data allocated by kmemdup is not freed in neither gss_import_v2_context nor it only caller gss_krb5_import_sec_context, which frees ctx on error. Thus, this patch reform the last call of gss_import_v2_context to the gss_krb5_import_ctx_v2, preventing the memleak while keepping the return formation.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915/gem: Really move i915_gem_context.link under ref protection i915_perf assumes that it can use the i915_gem_context reference to protect its i915->gem.contexts.list iteration. However, this requires that we do not remove the context from the list until after we drop the final reference and release the struct. If, as currently, we remove the context from the list during context_close(), the link.next pointer may be poisoned while we are holding the context reference and cause a GPF: [ 4070.573157] i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm:i915_perf_open_ioctl [i915]] filtering on ctx_id=0x1fffff ctx_id_mask=0x1fffff [ 4070.574881] general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdead000000000100: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP [ 4070.574897] CPU: 1 PID: 284392 Comm: amd_performance Tainted: G E 5.17.9 #180 [ 4070.574903] Hardware name: Intel Corporation NUC7i5BNK/NUC7i5BNB, BIOS BNKBL357.86A.0052.2017.0918.1346 09/18/2017 [ 4070.574907] RIP: 0010:oa_configure_all_contexts.isra.0+0x222/0x350 [i915] [ 4070.574982] Code: 08 e8 32 6e 10 e1 4d 8b 6d 50 b8 ff ff ff ff 49 83 ed 50 f0 41 0f c1 04 24 83 f8 01 0f

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: slub: fix flush_cpu_slab()/__free_slab() invocations in task context. Commit 5a836bf6b09f ("mm: slub: move flush_cpu_slab() invocations __free_slab() invocations out of IRQ context") moved all flush_cpu_slab() invocations to the global workqueue to avoid a problem related with deactivate_slab()/__free_slab() being called from an IRQ context on PREEMPT_RT kernels. When the flush_all_cpu_locked() function is called from a task context it may happen that a workqueue with WQ_MEM_RECLAIM bit set ends up flushing the global workqueue, this will cause a dependency issue. workqueue: WQ_MEM_RECLAIM nvme-delete-wq:nvme_delete_ctrl_work [nvme_core] is flushing !WQ_MEM_RECLAIM events:flush_cpu_slab WARNING: CPU: 37 PID: 410 at kernel/workqueue.c:2637 check_flush_dependency+0x10a/0x120 Workqueue: nvme-delete-wq nvme_delete_ctrl_work [nvme_core] RIP: 0010:check_flush_dependency+0x10a/0x120[ 453.262125] Call Trace: __flush_work.isra.0+0xbf/0x220 ? __queue_work+0x1dc/0x420 flush_all_cpus_locked+0xfb/0x120 __kmem_cache_shutdown+0x2b/0x320 kmem_cache_destroy+0x49/0x100 bioset_exit+0x143/0x190 blk_release_qu

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/gma500: Fix BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context errors gma_crtc_page_flip() was holding the event_lock spinlock while calling crtc_funcs->mode_set_base() which takes ww_mutex. Logic in napi_poll context would cause an out-of-bound read by first increment the pointer address by byte address space and then dereference the value. Rather, the intended logic was to dereference first and then increment the underlying value.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFS: fs_context: validate UDP retrans to prevent shift out-of-bounds Fix shift out-of-bounds in xprt_calc_majortimeo(). This is caused by a garbage timeout (retrans) mount option being passed to nfs mount, in this case from syzkaller. If the protocol is XPRT_TRANSPORT_UDP, then 'retrans' is a shift value for a 64-bit long integer, so 'retrans' cannot be >= 64. If it is >= 64, fail the mount and return an error.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: pvrusb2: fix use after free on context disconnection Upon module load, a kthread is created targeting the pvr2_context_thread_func function, which may call pvr2_context_destroy and thus call kfree() on the context object. However, that might happen before the usb hub_event handler is able to notify the driver. This patch adds a sanity check before the invalid read reported by syzbot, within the context disconnection call stack.

Jan 18, 2024AnythingLLM is an application that turns any document, resource, or piece of content into context that any LLM can use as references during chatting.CVE-2024-22422 · Other software · Mintplex-Labs · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
AnythingLLM is an application that turns any document, resource, or piece of content into context that any LLM can use as references during chatting. In versions prior to commit `08d33cfd8` an unauthenticated API route (file export) can allow attacker to crash the server resulting in a denial of service attack. The “data-export” endpoint is used to export files using the filename parameter as user input. The endpoint takes the user input, filters it to avoid directory traversal attacks, fetches the file from the server, and afterwards deletes it. An attacker can trick the input filter mechanism to point to the current directory, and while attempting to delete it the server will crash as there is no error-handling wrapper around it. Moreover, the endpoint is public and does not require any form of authentication, resulting in an unauthenticated Denial of Service issue, which crashes the instance using a single HTTP packet. This issue has been addressed in commit `08d33cfd8`. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
