  • May 16, 2025Samsung Internet for Galaxy Watch version 5.0.9, available up until Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, does not properly validate TLS certificates, allowing for an attackeCVE-2025-32407 · Computers, phones & browsers · Samsung · reported by MITREMedium 5.9

Samsung Internet for Galaxy Watch version 5.0.9, available up until Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, does not properly validate TLS certificates, allowing for an attacker to impersonate any and all websites visited by the user. This is a critical misconfiguration in the way the browser validates the identity of the server. It negates the use of HTTPS as a secure channel, allowing for Man-in-the-Middle attacks, stealing sensitive information or modifying incoming and outgoing traffic. NOTE: This vulnerability is in an end-of-life product that is no longer maintained by the vendor.

  • May 14, 2025net-tools is a collection of programs that form the base set of the NET-3 networking distribution for the Linux operating system.CVE-2025-46836 · Other software · ecki · reported by GitHubMedium 6.6

net-tools is a collection of programs that form the base set of the NET-3 networking distribution for the Linux operating system. Inn versions up to and including 2.10, the Linux network utilities (like ifconfig) from the net-tools package do not properly validate the structure of /proc files when showing interfaces. `get_name()` in `interface.c` copies interface labels from `/proc/net/dev` into a fixed 16-byte stack buffer without bounds checking, leading to possible arbitrary code execution or crash. The known attack path does not require privilege but also does not provide privilege escalation in this scenario. A patch is available and expected to be part of version 2.20.

Programs/P73_SimplePythonEncryption.py illustrates a simple Python encryption example using the RSA Algorithm. In versions prior to commit 6ce60b1, an attacker may be able to decrypt the data using brute force attacks and because of this the whole application can be impacted. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: consider that tail calls invalidate packet pointers Tail-called programs could execute any of the helpers that invalidate packet pointers. Hence, conservatively assume that each tail call invalidates packet pointers. Making the change in bpf_helper_changes_pkt_data() automatically makes use of check_cfg() logic that computes 'changes_pkt_data' effect for global sub-programs, such that the following program could be rejected: int tail_call(struct __sk_buff *sk) { bpf_tail_call_static(sk, &jmp_table, 0); return 0; } SEC("tc") int not_safe(struct __sk_buff *sk) { int *p = (void *)(long)sk->data; ... make p valid ... tail_call(sk); *p = 42; /* this is unsafe */ ... } The tc_bpf2bpf.c:subprog_tc() needs change: mark it as a function that can invalidate packet pointers. Otherwise, it can't be freplaced with tailcall_freplace.c:entry_freplace() that does a tail call.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: check changes_pkt_data property for extension programs When processing calls to global sub-programs, verifier decides whether to invalidate all packet pointers in current state depending on the changes_pkt_data property of the global sub-program. Because of this, an extension program replacing a global sub-program must be compatible with changes_pkt_data property of the sub-program being replaced. This commit: - adds changes_pkt_data flag to struct bpf_prog_aux: - this flag is set in check_cfg() for main sub-program; - in jit_subprogs() for other sub-programs; - modifies bpf_check_attach_btf_id() to check changes_pkt_data flag; - moves call to check_attach_btf_id() after the call to check_cfg(), because it needs changes_pkt_data flag to be set: bpf_check: ... ... - check_attach_btf_id resolve_pseudo_ldimm64 resolve_pseudo_ldimm64 --> bpf_prog_is_offloaded bpf_prog_is_offloaded check_cfg check_cfg + check_attach_btf_id ... ... Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
