In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: Intel: bytcr_rt5651: Fix invalid quirk input mapping When an invalid value is passed via quirk option, currently bytcr_rt5640 driver just ignores and leaves as is, which may lead to unepxected results like OOB access. This patch adds the sanity check and corrects the input mapping to the certain default value if an invalid value is passed.

  • Nov 12, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: usb: asix: hold PM usage ref to avoid PM/MDIO + RTNL deadlock Prevent USB runtime PM CVE-2025-40120 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: usb: asix: hold PM usage ref to avoid PM/MDIO + RTNL deadlock Prevent USB runtime PM (autosuspend) for AX88772* in bind. usbnet enables runtime PM (autosuspend) by default, so disabling it via the usb_driver flag is ineffective. On AX88772B, autosuspend shows no measurable power saving with current driver (no link partner, admin up/down). The ~0.453 W -> ~0.248 W drop on v6.1 comes from phylib powering the PHY off on admin-down, not from USB autosuspend. The real hazard is that with runtime PM enabled, ndo_open() (under RTNL) may synchronously trigger autoresume (usb_autopm_get_interface()) into asix_resume() while the USB PM lock is held. Resume paths then invoke phylink/phylib and MDIO, which also expect RTNL, leading to possible deadlocks or PM lock vs MDIO wake issues. To avoid this, keep the device runtime-PM active by taking a usage reference in ax88772_bind() and dropping it in unbind(). A non-zero PM usage count blocks runtime suspend regardless of userspace policy (.../power/control - pm_runtime_allow/forbid), making this approach robust against sysfs overrides. Holding a runtime-PM usage ref do

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix potential null deref in ext4_mb_init() In ext4_mb_init(), ext4_mb_avg_fragment_size_destroy() may be called when sbi->s_mb_avg_fragment_size remains uninitialized (e.g., if groupinfo slab cache allocation fails). • Nov 12, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: pm80xx: Fix array-index-out-of-of-bounds on rmmod Since commit f7b705c238d1 ("scsi: CVE-2025-40118 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: pm80xx: Fix array-index-out-of-of-bounds on rmmod Since commit f7b705c238d1 ("scsi: pm80xx: Set phy_attached to zero when device is gone") UBSAN reports: UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in drivers/scsi/pm8001/pm8001_sas.c:786:17 index 28 is out of range for type 'pm8001_phy [16]' on rmmod when using an expander. For a direct attached device, attached_phy contains the local phy id. For a device behind an expander, attached_phy contains the remote phy id, not the local phy id. I.e. while pm8001_ha will have pm8001_ha->chip->n_phy local phys, for a device behind an expander, attached_phy can be much larger than pm8001_ha->chip->n_phy (depending on the amount of phys of the expander). E.g. on my system pm8001_ha has 8 phys with phy ids 0-7. One of the ports has an expander connected. The expander has 31 phys with phy ids 0-30. The pm8001_ha->phy array only contains the phys of the HBA. It does not contain the phys of the expander. Thus, it is wrong to use attached_phy to index the pm8001_ha->phy array for a device behind an expander. Thus, we can only clear phy_attached for devices that are dire

  • Nov 12, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: remoteproc: qcom: pas: Shutdown lite ADSP DTB on X1E The ADSP firmware on X1E has separateCVE-2025-40113 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: remoteproc: qcom: pas: Shutdown lite ADSP DTB on X1E The ADSP firmware on X1E has separate firmware binaries for the main firmware and the DTB. The same applies for the "lite" firmware loaded by the boot firmware. When preparing to load the new ADSP firmware we shutdown the lite_pas_id for the main firmware, but we don't shutdown the corresponding lite pas_id for the DTB. The fact that we're leaving it "running" forever becomes obvious if you try to reuse (or just access) the memory region used by the "lite" firmware: The &adsp_boot_mem is accessible, but accessing the &adsp_boot_dtb_mem results in a crash. We don't support reusing the memory regions currently, but nevertheless we should not keep part of the lite firmware running. Fix this by adding the lite_dtb_pas_id and shutting it down as well. We don't have a way to detect if the lite firmware is actually running yet, so ignore the return status of qcom_scm_pas_shutdown() for now. This was already the case before, the assignment to "ret" is not used anywhere.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sparc: fix accurate exception reporting in copy_{from_to}_user for Niagara The referenced commit introduced exception handlers on user-space memory references in copy_from_user and copy_to_user. These handlers return from the respective function and calculate the remaining bytes left to copy using the current register contents. This commit fixes a couple of bad calculations and a broken epilogue in the exception handlers. This will prevent crashes and ensure correct return values of copy_from_user and copy_to_user in the faulting case. The behaviour of memcpy stays unchanged.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vmwgfx: Fix a null-ptr access in the cursor snooper Check that the resource which is converted to a surface exists before trying to use the cursor snooper on it. vmw_cmd_res_check allows explicit invalid (SVGA3D_INVALID_ID) identifiers because some svga commands accept SVGA3D_INVALID_ID to mean "no surface", unfortunately functions that accept the actual surfaces as objects might (and in case of the cursor snooper, do not) be able to handle null objects. Make sure that we validate not only the identifier (via the vmw_cmd_res_check) but also check that the actual resource exists before trying to do something with it. Fixes unchecked null-ptr reference in the snooping code.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: hi311x: fix null pointer dereference when resuming from sleep before interface was enabled This issue is similar to the vulnerability in the `mcp251x` driver, which was fixed in commit 03c427147b2d ("can: mcp251x: fix resume from sleep before interface was brought up"). In the `hi311x` driver, when the device resumes from sleep, the driver schedules `priv->restart_work`. However, if the network interface was not previously enabled, the `priv->wq` (workqueue) is not allocated and initialized, leading to a null pointer dereference. To fix this, we move the allocation and initialization of the workqueue from the `hi3110_open` function to the `hi3110_can_probe` function. This ensures that the workqueue is properly initialized before it is used during device resume. And added logic to destroy the workqueue in the error handling paths of `hi3110_can_probe` and in the `hi3110_can_remove` function to prevent resource leaks.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: comedi: fix divide-by-zero in comedi_buf_munge() The comedi_buf_munge() function performs a modulo operation `async->munge_chan %= async->cmd.chanlist_len` without first checking if chanlist_len is zero. If a user program submits a command with chanlist_len set to zero, this causes a divide-by-zero error when the device processes data in the interrupt handler path. Add a check for zero chanlist_len at the beginning of the function, similar to the existing checks for !map and CMDF_RAWDATA flag. When chanlist_len is zero, update munge_count and return early, indicating the data was handled without munging. This prevents potential kernel panics from malformed user commands.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vfs: Don't leak disconnected dentries on umount When user calls open_by_handle_at() on some inode that is not cached, we will create disconnected dentry for it. If such dentry is a directory, exportfs_decode_fh_raw() will then try to connect this dentry to the dentry tree through reconnect_path(). It may happen for various reasons (such as corrupted fs or race with rename) that the call to lookup_one_unlocked() in reconnect_one() will fail to find the dentry we are trying to reconnect and instead create a new dentry under the parent. Now this dentry will not be marked as disconnected although the parent still may well be disconnected (at least in case this inconsistency happened because the fs is corrupted and .. doesn't point to the real parent directory). This creates inconsistency in disconnected flags but AFAICS it was mostly harmless. At least until commit f1ee616214cb ("VFS: don't keep disconnected dentries on d_anon") which removed adding of most disconnected dentries to sb->s_anon list. Thus after this commit cleanup of disconnected dentries implicitely relies on the fact that dput() will immediately recl

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ixgbevf: fix mailbox API compatibility by negotiating supported features There was backward compatibility in the terms of mailbox API. Various drivers from various OSes supporting 10G adapters from Intel portfolio could easily negotiate mailbox API. This convention has been broken since introducing API 1.4. Commit 0062e7cc955e ("ixgbevf: add VF IPsec offload code") added support for IPSec which is specific only for the kernel ixgbe driver. None of the rest of the Intel 10G PF/VF drivers supports it. And actually lack of support was not included in the IPSec implementation - there were no such code paths. No possibility to negotiate support for the feature was introduced along with introduction of the feature itself. Commit 339f28964147 ("ixgbevf: Add support for new mailbox communication between PF and VF") increasing API version to 1.5 did the same - it introduced code supported specifically by the PF ESX driver. It altered API version for the VF driver in the same time not touching the version defined for the PF ixgbe driver. It led to additional discrepancies, as the code provided within API 1.6 cannot be su

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Prevent access to vCPU events before init Another day, another syzkaller bug. KVM erroneously allows userspace to pend vCPU events for a vCPU that hasn't been initialized yet, leading to KVM interpreting a bunch of uninitialized garbage for routing / injecting the exception. In one case the injection code and the hyp disagree on whether the vCPU has a 32bit EL1 and put the vCPU into an illegal mode for AArch64, tripping the BUG() in exception_target_el() during the next injection: kernel BUG at arch/arm64/kvm/inject_fault.c:40! In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix memory leaks when rejecting a non SINGLE data profile without an RST At the end of btrfs_load_block_group_zone_info() the first thing we do is to ensure that if the mapping type is not a SINGLE one and there is no RAID stripe tree, then we return early with an error. Doing that, though, prevents the code from running the last calls from this function which are about freeing memory allocated during its run. Hence, in this case, instead of returning early, we set the ret value and fall through the rest of the cleanup code.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: do not assert we found block group item when creating free space tree Currently, when building a free space tree at populate_free_space_tree(), if we are not using the block group tree feature, we always expect to find block group items (either extent items or a block group item with key type BTRFS_BLOCK_GROUP_ITEM_KEY) when we search the extent tree with btrfs_search_slot_for_read(), so we assert that we found an item. However this expectation is wrong since we can have a new block group created in the current transaction which is still empty and for which we still have not added the block group's item to the extent tree, in which case we do not have any items in the extent tree associated to the block group. The insertion of a new block group's block group item in the extent tree happens at btrfs_create_pending_block_groups() when it calls the helper insert_block_group_item(). This typically is done when a transaction handle is released, committed or when running delayed refs (either as part of a transaction commit or when serving tickets for space reservation if we are low on free space). So remove th

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/sched: Fix potential double free in drm_sched_job_add_resv_dependencies When adding dependencies with drm_sched_job_add_dependency(), that function consumes the fence reference both on success and failure, so in the latter case the dma_fence_put() on the error path (xarray failed to expand) is a double free. Interestingly this bug appears to have been present ever since commit ebd5f74255b9 ("drm/sched: Add dependency tracking"), since the code back then looked like this: drm_sched_job_add_implicit_dependencies(): ... for (i = 0; i < fence_count; i++) { ret = drm_sched_job_add_dependency(job, fences[i]); if (ret) break; } for (; i < fence_count; i++) dma_fence_put(fences[i]); Which means for the failing 'i' the dma_fence_put was already a double free. Possibly there were no users at that time, or the test cases were insufficient to hit it. The bug was then only noticed and fixed after commit 9c2ba265352a ("drm/scheduler: use new iterator in drm_sched_job_add_implicit_dependencies v2") landed, with its fixup of commit

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: transport_ipc: validate payload size before reading handle handle_response() dereferences the payload as a 4-byte handle without verifying that the declared payload size is at least 4 bytes. A malformed or truncated message from ksmbd.mountd can lead to a 4-byte read past the declared payload size. Validate the size before dereferencing. This is a minimal fix to guard the initial handle read.

  • Oct 29, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: sch_qfq: Fix null-deref in agg_dequeue To prevent a potential crash in agg_dequCVE-2025-40083 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: sch_qfq: Fix null-deref in agg_dequeue To prevent a potential crash in agg_dequeue (net/sched/sch_qfq.c) when cl->qdisc->ops->peek(cl->qdisc) returns NULL, we check the return value before using it, similar to the existing approach in sch_hfsc.c. To avoid code duplication, the following changes are made: 1. Changed qdisc_warn_nonwc(include/net/pkt_sched.h) into a static inline function. 2. Moved qdisc_peek_len from net/sched/sch_hfsc.c to include/net/pkt_sched.h so that sch_qfq can reuse it. 3. Applied qdisc_peek_len in agg_dequeue to avoid crashing.

  • Oct 28, 2025The GameDriverX64.sys kernel-mode anti-cheat driver (v7.23.4.7 and earlier) contains an access control vulnerability in one of its IOCTL handlers.CVE-2025-61155 · Other software · reported by MITREMedium 5.5

The GameDriverX64.sys kernel-mode anti-cheat driver (v7.23.4.7 and earlier) contains an access control vulnerability in one of its IOCTL handlers. A user-mode process can open a handle to the driver device and send specially crafted IOCTL requests. These requests are executed in kernel-mode context without proper authentication or access validation, allowing the attacker to terminate arbitrary processes, including critical system and security services, without requiring administrative privileges.

  • Oct 28, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Explicitly check accesses to bpf_sock_addr Syzkaller found a kernel warning on the foCVE-2025-40078 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Explicitly check accesses to bpf_sock_addr Syzkaller found a kernel warning on the following sock_addr program: 0: r0 = 0 1: r2 = *(u32 *)(r1 +60) 2: exit which triggers: verifier bug: error during ctx access conversion (0) This is happening because offset 60 in bpf_sock_addr corresponds to an implicit padding of 4 bytes, right after msg_src_ip4. Access to this padding isn't rejected in sock_addr_is_valid_access and it thus later fails to convert the access. This patch fixes it by explicitly checking the various fields of bpf_sock_addr in sock_addr_is_valid_access. I checked the other ctx structures and is_valid_access functions and didn't find any other similar cases. Other cases of (properly handled) padding are covered in new tests in a subsequent patch.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
