  • Aug 22, 2026better-npm-audit through 3.11.0, and the 4.0.0-rc.2 prerelease, builds its npm audit command by interpolating the user-supplied --registry option into a commandCVE-2026-57998 · Other software · jeemok · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.5

better-npm-audit through 3.11.0, and the 4.0.0-rc.2 prerelease, builds its npm audit command by interpolating the user-supplied --registry option into a command string in src/handlers/handleInput.ts without validation or quoting, then passes that string to child_process.exec() in index.ts, which spawns a shell. A registry value containing shell metacharacters such as a semicolon, pipe, or command substitution executes arbitrary operating system commands with the privileges of the process running the audit.

  • Aug 21, 2026OliveTin gives access to predefined shell commands from a web interface.CVE-2026-53541 · Other software · OliveTin · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3

OliveTin gives access to predefined shell commands from a web interface. The `filterToDefinedArgumentsOnly` function in the executor is intended to discard any arguments not explicitly defined in the action's configuration. However, prior to commit ebffd9f040f791208aee1db2e5a8aecd1e3e603d, a special case allows any argument whose name starts with `ot_` to bypass this filter. While two system arguments (`ot_executionTrackingId` and `ot_username`) are injected by OliveTin and overridden, all other `ot_`-prefixed arguments supplied by the user pass through unmodified. These bypassed arguments are not type-checked — the validation loop only iterates over the action's defined arguments, so `ot_`-prefixed arguments skip all type safety checks entirely; set as environment variables — via `buildEnv()`, with completely unvalidated values, and passed to the executed command; and included in the template context — available as `.Arguments.ot_*` in template rendering. Commit ebffd9f040f791208aee1db2e5a8aecd1e3e603d contains a patch.

UAC (Unix-like Artifacts Collector) versions prior to 3.3.0 contain a command injection vulnerability in the user substitution logic within parse_artifact.sh where usernames and home directories from /etc/passwd are substituted directly into command strings without escaping before execution via eval. • Aug 21, 2026Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in a Command ('Command Injection') vulnerability in Apache CloudStack's run and get diagnostics functionality fCVE-2026-61400 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 8.8

Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in a Command ('Command Injection') vulnerability in Apache CloudStack's run and get diagnostics functionality for the system VMs and virtual routers. An authenticated user holding the permissions required to invoke either `getDiagnosticsData` or `runDiagnostics` can achieve arbitrary command execution on the system VM and/or Virtual Router instances, with commands running as root (or as the diagnostics-process user, at minimum). This represents a full compromise of the affected instance and, depending on network segmentation, may provide a foothold for lateral movement within the CloudStack-managed infrastructure, including access to guest network traffic handled by the compromised Virtual Router. The getDiagnosticsData and runDiagnostics APIs are restricted to only Admin role accounts by default. This issue affects Apache CloudStack: from 4.20.0.0 through 4.20.3.0 and from 4.21.0.0 through 4.22.1.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.20.3.1 or 4.22.1.1 or later, which fixes the issue.

A malicious operator account can exploit this to inject arbitrary commands that execute on the KVM hypervisor host when any account subsequently performs a backup restore. This issue affects Apache CloudStack: from 4.20.0.0 through 4.20.3.0 and from 4.21.0.0 through 4.22.1.0. • Aug 20, 2026Hurl is a command line tool that runs and tests HTTP requests defined in plain text files.CVE-2026-63481 · Other software · Orange-OpenSource · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

Hurl is a command line tool that runs and tests HTTP requests defined in plain text files. In version 8.0.1 and earlier, the redirect handling in packages/hurl/src/http/client.rs strips Authorization and Cookie headers and basic-auth credentials when a redirect changes host, but it carries RequestSpec.cookies created from the dedicated [Cookies] section into the redirected request. An attacker-controlled redirect can therefore receive authentication or session cookies that should remain scoped to the original host. Cookies supplied through a raw Cookie header are stripped and are not affected by this specific path. This issue is reported as fixed in version 8.1.0.

  • Aug 19, 2026In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.6.0, a user who holds the "Incident Commander" Splunk SOAR role could store JavaScript in a note and run it in the browser of anCVE-2026-76367 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 4

In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.6.0, a user who holds the "Incident Commander" Splunk SOAR role could store JavaScript in a note and run it in the browser of another user when that user opens the note. The stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability is possible because Splunk SOAR can treat existing note content as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) without sanitizing that content when the note format changes. The vulnerability requires the attacker to phish the affected user by tricking them into initiating a request within their browser. The user who holds the "Incident Commander" Splunk SOAR role should not be able to exploit the vulnerability at will. For more information see Manage roles and permissions in Splunk SOAR (Cloud) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-cloud/administer-soar-cloud/manage-your-splunk-soar-cloud-users-and-accounts/manage-roles-and-permissions-in-splunk-soar-cloud) in the Splunk documentation.

  • Aug 19, 2026An OS command injection vulnerability exists in the web management interface of Archer C20 v6 firmware when processing certain WAN-related configuration operatiCVE-2026-75616 · Network & remote access · TP-Link Systems Inc. · reported by f23511db-6c3e-4e32-a477-6aa17d310630High 8.5

An OS command injection vulnerability exists in the web management interface of Archer C20 v6 firmware when processing certain WAN-related configuration operations. An authenticated administrator may exploit insufficient input validation to execute arbitrary system commands, potentially resulting in full device compromise. Successful exploitation may allow arbitrary command execution with elevated privileges, compromising the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the affected device and network traffic passing through it.

ICEcoder 8.1 contains an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary OS commands by chaining an authentication bypass, CSRF validation bypass, and unsanitized command execution. Attackers can send a single HTTP POST request to the terminal endpoint with a password parameter to bypass authentication, a non-empty csrf parameter to skip CSRF validation, and an arbitrary command string passed directly to proc_open() to achieve remote code execution as the web-server user.
