FreeRDP 3.3.0 before 3.32.0, when built with WINPR_UTILS_IMAGE_JPEG=ON, has a heap-based out-of-bounds write in winpr_convert_from_jpeg because grayscale JPEG buffers are sized from one input component rather than three BGR output components. A malicious RDP server can offer a grayscale JPEG via clipboard redirection, corrupting client memory and crashing it when the item is pasted as CF_DIB bitmap data.

Oct 14, 2026util-linux is a random collection of Linux utilities.CVE-2026-53615 · Other software · util-linux · reported by GitHubHigh 8
util-linux is a random collection of Linux utilities. Before util-linux 2.41.4, `parse_dos_extended()` in `libblkid/src/partitions/dos.c` computes an extended-partition start sector with 32-bit addition and does not apply the extended-area bounds checks to the first two EBR entries. A local attacker who causes a crafted DOS extended-partition disk image or removable medium to be probed can wrap `cur_start + start` to sector zero and cause libblkid to report a false partition overlapping the MBR. This directly compromises the integrity of the reported partition metadata; disk modification or availability loss requires a separate downstream consumer to act on that metadata. This issue is fixed in 2.41.4.

Oct 14, 2026util-linux is a random collection of Linux utilities.CVE-2026-53614 · Other software · util-linux · reported by GitHubHigh 7
util-linux is a random collection of Linux utilities. In util-linux 2.39.1 through 2.41.4 and 2.42 through 2.42.1, the SUID `mount` utility reads the attacker-controlled `LIBMOUNT_FORCE_MOUNT2` environment variable with `getenv()`, allowing a local low-privileged user to force the non-atomic legacy bind-mount path. With an `/etc/fstab` bind mount authorized by `user` or `users` and protected by `nosuid`, `noexec`, or `nodev`, an attacker can race the window between the initial bind mount and the remount that applies those security flags and execute a SUID program from the temporarily unprotected mount, potentially gaining root privileges. This issue is fixed in 2.41.5 and 2.42.2.

Oct 14, 2026OmniFaces is a utility library for Faces.CVE-2026-102695 · Other software · omnifaces · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2
OmniFaces is a utility library for Faces. In OmniFaces versions before 1.14.3, 2.7.33, 3.14.23, 4.7.12, and 5.4.2, CombinedResourceHandler accepts a structurally valid deflated and base64 encoded combined resource ID without verifying that the server issued it. A forged ID can cause unbounded decoded output, add unique reconstructed IDs to a process-lifetime cache, or combine resources other than stylesheets and scripts. Because jakarta.faces.RESOURCE_EXCLUDES is not applied by this custom resolution path, a forged ID can disclose Facelets source from the webapp resource tree or META-INF/resources. In a deployment configured with the wildcard CDN mapping, a forged ID that selects omnifaces.graphic can also cause a blind, deployment-dependent server-side fetch whose destination derives partly from the request Host header. The flaw does not provide arbitrary file read or establish arbitrary-scheme or arbitrary-destination SSRF. The shared authenticity failure permits memory exhaustion and limited resource disclosure. This issue is fixed in versions 1.14.3, 2.7.33, 3.14.23, 4.7.12, and 5.4.2.

Oct 14, 2026util-linux is a random collection of Linux utilities.CVE-2026-53613 · Other software · util-linux · reported by GitHubHigh 7
util-linux is a random collection of Linux utilities. In util-linux 2.17 through 2.41.6 and 2.42 through 2.42.3, and in 2.42.4 when the legacy `mount(2)` path is used without `/proc`, restricted non-root `mount` requests validate an `/etc/fstab` target before the mount operation re-resolves that pathname. A local low-privileged user authorized by an fstab `user` or `users` entry whose target has an attacker-writable ancestor can use `renameat2(RENAME_EXCHANGE)` to swap a path component and redirect an authorized mount to a root-owned location, such as mounting attacker-controlled content over `/etc/sudoers.d`, and thereby gain root privileges. Versions 2.41.5 and 2.42.2 pin targets for the new mount API, and 2.42.4 pins legacy targets through `/proc/self/fd`; the documented legacy fallback without `/proc` remains affected.

Oct 14, 2026util-linux is a random collection of Linux utilities.CVE-2026-53612 · Other software · util-linux · reported by GitHubHigh 7
util-linux is a random collection of Linux utilities. In util-linux 2.39 through 2.41.4 and 2.42 through 2.42.1, the SUID `mount` utility's `hook_owner.c` post-mount hook performs path-based `chmod()` and `lchown()` operations on a previously validated mount target. A local low-privileged user authorized by an `/etc/fstab` entry with `user` or `users` and an `X-mount.mode`, `X-mount.owner`, or `X-mount.group` option can use `renameat2(RENAME_EXCHANGE)` to race a writable ancestor of the target and redirect the privileged ownership or mode change to a root-owned path, potentially gaining root privileges. Oct 13, 2026MultiTail is a utility for monitoring multiple log files in one terminal.CVE-2026-55601 · Other software · folkertvanheusden · reported by GitHubHigh 7.3
MultiTail is a utility for monitoring multiple log files in one terminal. In version 7.1.5 and earlier, the -ex and -eX execute-on-match feature appended attacker-controlled matched input to a configured command inside double quotes, then check_filter_exec() in mt.c passed the constructed command through execute_program() in exec.c to sh -c. Partial escaping left shell metacharacters such as command substitution active, allowing an attacker who could influence monitored input to execute commands as the user running MultiTail. No fixed release is available as of this review.

Oct 12, 2026Privasys Remote Attestation TLS Clients provides multi-language utilities for verifying attested TLS connections.CVE-2026-108362 · Other software · Privasys · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1
Privasys Remote Attestation TLS Clients provides multi-language utilities for verifying attested TLS connections. Prior to 0.11.0, TEE attestation evidence in Privasys attested TLS is accepted without requiring an explicitly authorized platform identity. When a network attacker can forge evidence or extract attestation secrets from a compromised unrevoked platform, the verifier accepts valid measurements from a different unrevoked TEE platform as though they came from the intended Attester. The attacker can impersonate the attested TLS endpoint. This issue is fixed in version 0.11.0.

Oct 12, 2026Privasys Remote Attestation TLS Clients provides multi-language utilities for verifying attested TLS connections.CVE-2026-108361 · Other software · Privasys · reported by GitHubHigh 7.2
Privasys Remote Attestation TLS Clients provides multi-language utilities for verifying attested TLS connections. Before 0.9.1, an attacker with local access could modify workload code, data, and configuration at any time after successful connection establishment. Once Evidence was successfully appraised and the connection was established, there was a window of vulnerability from the establishment of the connection to the termination of the connection where an attacker could modify the state of the workload and platform at runtime on the TLS endpoint acting as the Attester. This vulnerability was possible because Privasys/ra-tls-clients performed attestation only once in the lifetime of the connection (at connection establishment time), and the verifying peer continued to believe that the state was the same as in the initial Evidence throughout, whereas it could be stale at some point in time. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.9.1.

ExtUtils::Typemaps::STL::String versions before 1.06 for Perl T_STD_STRING typemap may read the SV length before stringifying the argument. The typemap uses $var = std::string( SvPV_nolen($arg), SvCUR($arg) ) However, evaluation order for C++ arguments is not specified, and some compilers may produce code that evalutes SvCUR($arg) first. Oct 9, 2026CompressionUtils.inflate() decompressed attacker-controlled DEFLATE data with no output-size cap.CVE-2026-78384 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.5
CompressionUtils.inflate() decompressed attacker-controlled DEFLATE data with no output-size cap. A small (~KB) crafted payload could expand to gigabytes on the heap. Reachable via JWE decryption when zip=DEF (e.g. JoseSessionTokenProvider with RSA-OAEP key wrap) and via SAML redirect/POST binding token inflation — in both cases decompression happens before/independent of trust validation. Fix: Added a configurable maximum inflated-size cap (default 10 MiB, org.apache.cxf.compression-max-inflated-size system property) to CompressionUtils.inflate(); aborts with DataFormatException once exceeded. Oct 9, 2026By default, StaxUtils placed no limit on the total number of elements or the total number of characters in an XML document.CVE-2026-108039 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.5
By default, StaxUtils placed no limit on the total number of elements or the total number of characters in an XML document. A very large request could therefore use a lot of memory and CPU during parsing, especially where CXF builds a DOM from the input (for example SAAJ or WS-Security), and could cause a denial of service when no request size limit was configured. Both limits now have defaults: the maximum element count is 100 × maxChildElements (5,000,000 by default), and the maximum document size is 256M characters. Applications that process larger documents can raise the limits with the org.apache.cxf.stax.maxElementCount and org.apache.cxf.stax.maxXMLCharacters properties. A vulnerability in the Cisco Smart Licensing Utility API of Cisco License On-Prem, formerly Cisco Smart Software Manager On-Prem (SSM On-Prem), could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to write arbitrary files to the system or cause a DoS condition on an affected application. This vulnerability is due to improper input validation and a lack of authentication in the management API. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted request to the affected API. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to modify system files or cause a DoS condition.

lrzsz before 0.13.0 contains a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in procheader() of the lrz receive utility when copying overlong sender-supplied filenames into Pathname. Malicious ZMODEM senders can supply filenames up to 8192 bytes, overflowing the buffer via sprintf() in pipe mode or strcpy() to corrupt heap memory and crash lrz.

lrzsz before 0.13.0 contains an OS command injection vulnerability in the lrz receive utility's pipe mode that allows remote senders to execute commands by supplying crafted filenames. When lrz runs under a suffixed name such as lrztar, procheader() in src/lrz.c passes the unescaped ZMODEM/YMODEM filename to popen(), so shell metacharacters execute as the receiving user.

lrzsz before 0.13.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the lrz receive utility's restricted mode that allows malicious ZMODEM senders to write files outside the current directory using absolute pathnames. Because checkpath() in src/lrz.c only rejects '../' sequences unless built with --enable-pubdir, attackers can send files named with absolute paths to overwrite any file writable by the receiving user.

Oct 5, 2026GraphQL Tools provides utilities for building, stitching, and mocking GraphQL schemas.CVE-2026-104852 · Other software · ardatan · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2
GraphQL Tools provides utilities for building, stitching, and mocking GraphQL schemas. Prior to 12.0.1, the GraphQL Tools utils package's mergeDeep function follows inherited properties while recursively merging source objects and does not exclude __proto__, constructor, or prototype keys. An unauthenticated GraphQL client can alias fields to those names so responses from two subgraphs collide during ordinary supergraph result merging, causing mergeDeep to traverse Object and Function prototypes and overwrite Function.prototype.call with a subgraph-supplied value. This breaks subsequent requests in the process until restart. This issue is fixed in version 12.0.1.

Allocation of resources without limits in password-based private-key decryption (PbeUtilities.GenerateCipherParameters) in Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. bc-csharp before 2.7.0 allows an attacker who can supply an encrypted private key, such as a PKCS#8 EncryptedPrivateKeyInfo or "ENCRYPTED PRIVATE KEY" PEM file, to cause a denial of service through CPU exhaustion via an iteration count close to 2^31, because the count is taken from the unauthenticated algorithm parameters without an upper bound and the key derivation runs before the password or the data can be checked. PKCS#5 PBES1 and PBES2 (PBKDF2), the PKCS#12 PBE algorithms and CMS password recipients (CmsPbeKey) are affected. Loading PKCS#12 files with Pkcs12Store is covered by CVE-2026-63572, and a zero or negative count with the PKCS#12 algorithms by CVE-2026-63575.

Inefficient algorithmic complexity in X.509 distinguished name string conversion (X509Name.ToString and IetfUtilities.ValueToString) in Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. bc-csharp before 2.7.0 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service through CPU exhaustion via a certificate, CRL, certification request or other structure whose name contains a long attribute value made up of characters that must be escaped, such as commas, or of leading or trailing spaces, because each escaping backslash was inserted into the buffer being scanned, so the work grew quadratically with the length of the value. Applications are exposed when they convert such a name to a string, for example to log or display it, or compare it with IetfUtilities.RdnAreEqual, as PKIX path validation does for directoryName name constraints.

Oct 1, 2026GraphQL Tools provides utilities for building, stitching, and mocking GraphQL schemas.CVE-2026-103921 · Other software · ardatan · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4
GraphQL Tools provides utilities for building, stitching, and mocking GraphQL schemas. Prior to 1.1.35, the executor-legacy-ws buildWSLegacyExecutor() function hardcodes TLS certificate rejection off for Node.js connections to wss:// endpoints. Applications using the executor directly, or url-loader with SubscriptionProtocol.LEGACY_WS, can therefore accept an attacker-controlled certificate when a network-positioned attacker intercepts the connection. Authentication material in connectionParams or headers can be disclosed, and subscription data can be modified. Browser WebSocket clients are unaffected because browsers enforce certificate validation. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.35.
