  • Sep 29, 2026metatool-ai MetaMCP through 2.4.22 contains an insecure direct object reference (IDOR) in the MCP transport session dispatch.CVE-2026-79537 · Other software · reported by MITRECritical 9.1

metatool-ai MetaMCP through 2.4.22 contains an insecure direct object reference (IDOR) in the MCP transport session dispatch. The session store (getSession in session-lifetime-manager.ts) is keyed only by the client-supplied mcp-session-id header with no owner, namespace, or endpoint binding, and the per-endpoint authorization middleware validates only the URL endpoint's owner, never the session. An attacker who supplies another tenant's session id " obtained without authentication from GET /metamcp/health/sessions, which discloses active session IDs and namespace UUIDs " can list and execute the victim tenant's private MCP tools and exfiltrate their data using the victim's forwarded credentials.

  • Sep 28, 2026The MCUmgr SMP-over-console transport decodes a base64 frame, reads a 16-bit packet length from it, verifies a CRC and then unconditionally strips the trailing CVE-2026-18747 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.8

The MCUmgr SMP-over-console transport decodes a base64 frame, reads a 16-bit packet length from it, verifies a CRC and then unconditionally strips the trailing CRC with rx_ctxt->nb->len -= 2U; in mcumgr_serial_process_frag() (subsys/mgmt/mcumgr/transport/src/serial_util.c). mcumgr_serial_extract_len() accepted any declared length, including 0 and 1, and a packet declaring length 0 passes the checksum test for free because crc16_itu_t() over zero bytes returns the zero seed. Since net_buf::len is a uint16_t, the subtraction underflows and the buffer is handed to SMP claiming roughly 65 KB of payload while its data area is only CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_NETBUF_SIZE bytes (default 384). The trigger is a single unauthenticated 7-byte line on the management console — the 0x06 0x09 packet marker followed by the base64 group AAA= and a newline — delivered to any transport built on this helper: CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_UART (smp_uart.c) or CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_SHELL (smp_shell.c), both of which select MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_SERIAL_HAS_SMP_OVER_CONSOLE. No prior session state, fragmentation or credentials are required to trigger the underflow, and the malformed frame is mishandled before any com

  • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bonding: alb: fix uninitialized transport header access in alb_determine_nd() alb_determinCVE-2026-98089 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bonding: alb: fix uninitialized transport header access in alb_determine_nd() alb_determine_nd() uses icmp6_hdr(skb) to inspect ICMPv6 headers. However, in xmit paths (e.g. packets sent via AF_PACKET / raw sockets or forwarded packets), skb->transport_header is not guaranteed to be initialized. While pskb_network_may_pull() ensures the packet data is linear starting from the network header, it does not set or adjust the transport header offset. Dereferencing icmp6_hdr(skb) can therefore access out-of-bounds memory. Fetch the icmp6hdr directly after ipv6hdr following pskb_network_may_pull(), and reload ipv6hdr in case pskb_may_pull() reallocated skb->head. Also remove the unused bond argument from alb_determine_nd().

  • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Validate BSG request_len before reading vendor_cmd[] The FC BSG transport aCVE-2026-97529 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Validate BSG request_len before reading vendor_cmd[] The FC BSG transport allocates job->request via memdup_user() using the exact user-supplied request_len. For FC_BSG_HST_VENDOR, fc_bsg_host_dispatch() only guarantees request_len covers msgcode and vendor_id; it does not account for the vendor_cmd[] flexible array. qla2xxx then reads the command selector vendor_cmd[0] and, in several sub-handlers, vendor_cmd[1]/[2] or structures overlaid on the vendor command area without verifying request_len. A caller holding CAP_SYS_RAWIO can submit a short request whose vendor_id matches the host, triggering out-of-bounds heap reads (KASAN-detectable, and able to mis-select a command or panic). Add a central guard in qla2x00_process_vendor_specific() so the selector is always in bounds, restrict the early vendor_cmd[0] read in qla24xx_bsg_request() to sufficiently long vendor messages, and add request_len checks to the sub-handlers that read further: qla24xx_proc_fcp_prio_cfg_cmd(), qla2x00_process_loopback(), qla84xx_reset(), qla84xx_updatefw(), qla2x00_read_optrom(), qla2x00_update_optrom(), qlafx00_mgmt_

In OpenStack Zaqar before 22.0.2, WSGI transport mishandles the URL-Signature header. By sending a request with an empty URL-Signature header, an unauthenticated remote attacker who knows a target project's UUID may bypass both Keystone authentication and pre-signed URL verification, resulting in the ability to read, enumerate, create, and delete that project's queues, messages, claims, and subscriptions. By additionally claiming an administrative role, the attacker may also perform administrative operations, such as managing pools and flavors in admin_mode deployments. Only deployments using the WSGI transport with an authentication strategy configured are affected; the websocket transport is not affected.

  • Sep 21, 2026Email::Sender::Transport::Sendmail versions before 2.602 for Perl allow arbitrary command execution on Windows sending a message whose envelope address reaches CVE-2026-93012 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eCritical 9.8

Email::Sender::Transport::Sendmail versions before 2.602 for Perl allow arbitrary command execution on Windows sending a message whose envelope address reaches the shell in _sendmail_pipe. On MSWin32 the envelope sender and every recipient go into a single command string, which open() passes to a shell. Every other platform gets the list form, which runs sendmail directly. When the caller supplies no envelope, Email::Sender::Simple takes the recipients from the To and Cc headers and the sender from the From header. An attacker who controls one of those header addresses runs commands as the sending process.

A heap-based buffer overflow exists in the TLS transport layer of the MongoDB C Driver when built with the Windows platform TLS backend. A remote endpoint that the client connects to can cause the driver to write uncontrolled data outside the bounds of a heap allocation while processing incoming encrypted traffic after the TLS handshake completes. No authentication or user interaction is required, because the affected processing occurs before any application-level authentication completes. Triggering this issue may lead to memory corruption in the client process, disclosure of adjacent heap memory, or termination of the process.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firmware: arm_scmi: Publish channel state before callbacks Transport setup can enable callbacks before the setup routine returns. mailbox_chan_setup() registers the mailbox client with mbox_request_channel(), and the mailbox controller startup path can enable interrupt delivery before SCMI mailbox channel state has been published. Similarly, smc_chan_setup() requests the optional A2P completion IRQ before the SMC transport has made its cinfo pointer visible. If a pending or spurious callback fires in those windows, the transport RX callback can dereference a NULL transport cinfo pointer. Publishing only the transport-private pointer is not sufficient either: an early callback can enter the SCMI core before scmi_chan_setup() has assigned cinfo->handle. The core derives scmi_info from cinfo->handle in the RX path, so a NULL handle can still fault even when the transport-private cinfo is valid. Assign cinfo->handle before invoking the transport setup callback. Publish the mailbox and SMC transport-private channel state before requesting the mailbox channels or IRQ, and clear the early-published pointers again on s

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firmware: arm_scmi: Fix transport device teardown lookup SCMI transport devices are deliberately excluded from normal SCMI bus matching so protocol drivers cannot bind to the internal transport children. However, scmi_device_destroy() uses the same protocol/name lookup to find devices that must be unregistered during channel teardown. Split the match helper so driver matching still skips transport devices, while explicit child lookup can find them for teardown. Use a shared transport-device name prefix macro for both matching and name generation. Since transport-device names are derived from direction and protocol ID, reject duplicate protocol channel setup before creating or finding a transport device. This prevents malformed firmware with duplicate protocol child nodes from reusing an existing transport device and then destroying it when the duplicate IDR insertion fails.

  • Sep 15, 2026qbee transport is a remote access transport protocol implementation.CVE-2026-55828 · Other software · qbee-io · reported by GitHubMedium 6

qbee transport is a remote access transport protocol implementation. Prior to 1.26.25, the extractTar routine uses strictly lexical path validation that does not account for on-disk symlinks created earlier in the extraction process. A crafted tar archive can use a symlink chain to write or overwrite files one directory level above the intended extraction path. When qbee-agent performs the extraction with root privileges, this permits a root-privileged file write outside the intended destination. This issue is fixed in version 1.26.25.

  • Sep 14, 2026webtransport-go is an implementation of the WebTransport protocol.CVE-2026-57497 · Other software · quic-go · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

webtransport-go is an implementation of the WebTransport protocol. Prior to 0.11.1, Session.parseNextCapsule() in session.go skips an unknown WebTransport capsule on the HTTP/3 request stream by calling io.ReadAll on the capsule reader, retaining the complete declared capsule body in memory. A malicious peer can send a large unknown capsule and cause a client or server to allocate memory for the full payload; QUIC flow control does not bound the total retained allocation because reading advances the flow-control window while the received bytes remain in memory. The resulting memory and resource exhaustion can disrupt or crash the affected process. This issue is fixed in version 0.11.1.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: svcrdma: Reject connection when transport allocation fails handle_connect_req() returns without action when svc_rdma_create_xprt() fails to allocate the new transport. The CM core returns 0 for CONNECT_REQUEST events, so it does not destroy the new rdma_cm_id. Each allocation failure under memory pressure leaks one rdma_cm_id, and a remote peer driving connection attempts can amplify this. Reject the connection by returning a non-zero status from the CM event handler, which tells the CM core to destroy the orphaned cm_id.

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: drop a chunk if its transport was removed sctp_rcv() resolves the transport once perCVE-2026-89478 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: drop a chunk if its transport was removed sctp_rcv() resolves the transport once per packet and leaves it in chunk->transport. The lookup reference, or the one sctp_add_backlog() takes if the socket is owned by userspace, keeps it around until the chunk has been processed. An authenticated ASCONF DEL-IP can remove it in the meantime. sctp_assoc_rm_peer() takes the transport out of the association and calls sctp_transport_free(), which tags it dead and drops the reference the association held. There is a window on both paths: the packet can sit on the socket backlog, and on the direct path the lookup completes before bh_lock_sock(). The DATA chunk in that packet puts the removed transport back into asoc->peer.last_data_from. Once the packet is done that reference goes away and the transport is freed by RCU, so the next delayed SACK carries the pointer into the SACK chunk and sctp_outq_select_transport() reads the freed transport's state. Drop the chunk in sctp_inq_push(), next to the existing rcvr->dead check. Both paths reach it with the association's socket lock held. The peer retransmits it.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NTB: ntb_transport: Fail TX enqueue when the QP link is down Commit f195a1a6fe41 ("ntb: Drop packets when qp link is down") meant to make ntb_transport_tx_enqueue() drop packets submitted while the QP link is down, but it only returns 0 without consuming the packet. Zero means success by this function's contract, so ntb_netdev reports NETDEV_TX_OK and forgets the skb: nothing queued it, nothing frees it, and it leaks, one skb for every transmit racing a link-down. Return -ENOLINK instead, restoring the contract that a non-zero return leaves the buffer owned by the caller. With the preceding patch, ntb_netdev frees the skb on non-retryable enqueue failures and returns NETDEV_TX_OK, so a packet racing with link-down is dropped without leaking or entering a busy retry loop.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NTB: ntb_transport: Reject oversized TX buffers ntb_process_tx() handles an oversized buffer by calling tx_handler() with a NULL data pointer and returning success. ntb_netdev therefore neither frees the skb in its completion callback nor takes its enqueue error path, leaking it. The caller retains ownership of the buffer, and the preceding netdev patch frees the skb when enqueue returns this permanent error.

Bifrost HTTP transport before 2.0.0 accepts an enabled custom plugin whose path is an HTTP URL through unauthenticated POST /api/plugins when management authentication is disabled (the default, governance.auth_config.is_enabled=false). The shared-object loader treats an http-prefixed path as a download URL, writes the body to a temporary .so, and passes it to Go's plugin.Open. After a successful open, optional Init runs immediately with the supplied config as the Bifrost process user. On documented dynamically linked builds (DYNAMIC=1 / no static-link flags), which the vendor requires for custom Go plugins, plugin.Open is expected to succeed and this is unauthenticated remote code execution. On the published statically linked Docker image, plugin.Open fails with Dynamic loading not supported, so that build class is only server-side request forgery. Attack complexity is High because the attacker cannot force RCE on the default static image and a loadable plugin must match the host Go version, OS, architecture, and linkage. The 1.6.x HTTP transport line through 1.6.11 does not contain the fix.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: packet: fix wrong transport_header when sending VLAN-tagged frame In packet_parse_headers(), when processing a VLAN-tagged frame, skb_set_network_header() is called to advance network_header past the VLAN tag to the inner protocol header. skb_probe_transport_header() is then called with skb->protocol still set to the outer VLAN EtherType (e.g. ETH_P_8021Q), while nhoff (derived from skb_network_offset()) already points past the VLAN tag to the inner protocol header. In __skb_flow_dissect(), proto is initialized to ETH_P_8021Q and nhoff points past the VLAN tag. When the dissector hits case ETH_P_8021Q, it reads a struct vlan_hdr at nhoff via __skb_header_pointer(), but that offset contains the inner protocol header (e.g. an IP header). The bytes are misinterpreted as a VLAN header, yielding a garbage encapsulated EtherType that matches no known protocol. The dissector returns false, so skb_probe_transport_header() never calls skb_set_transport_header(), leaving transport_header at its uninitialized sentinel value (~0U). Move skb_probe_transport_header() to before skb_set_network_header(). At the time skb_p

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvs: use parsed transport offset in TCP state lookup TCP state handling reparses the skb to find the TCP header. For IPv6 it uses sizeof(struct ipv6hdr), while the surrounding IPVS code already parsed the packet with ip_vs_fill_iph_skb() and has the real transport-header offset in iph.len. This makes TCP state handling look at the wrong bytes when an IPv6 packet carries extension headers. Use the parsed transport offset passed down from ip_vs_set_state() when reading the TCP header. For IPv4 and for IPv6 packets without extension headers, the passed offset matches the previous value.

  • Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: reject unrepresentable multicast TVLV offsets The network and transport headerCVE-2026-80839 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: reject unrepresentable multicast TVLV offsets The network and transport header fields in struct sk_buff are 16-bit offsets from skb->head, and U16_MAX is reserved as the unset transport header value. batadv_tvlv_call_handler() sets both fields from a received multicast TVLV without checking whether the TVLV end is representable. If the end offset exceeds the field's range, skb_set_transport_header() truncates it so that the transport header precedes the network header. The negative difference is then returned by skb_network_header_len() as a large u32. batadv_mcast_forw_packet() consequently accepts an oversized multicast tracker and accesses memory beyond the skb data. Add skb_set_transport_header_careful(), an offset-aware counterpart to skb_reset_transport_header_careful(), which validates the final head-relative offset before assigning it. Use the new helper in batadv_tvlv_call_handler() and reject unrepresentable TVLVs before setting the network header.

The Telnyx MCP server exposed its HTTP transport on every interface and did not require a caller credential. packages/mcp-server/src/http.ts served MCP on the root path with a listener bound to all interfaces and parsed the caller's authentication headers in a mode that did not fail when they were absent, so a request without any credential completed initialisation and dispatched tools. Dispatch forwarded the server's own stored credentials, the Telnyx API key and client secret together with the code-execution key, to the upstream endpoint, so an unauthenticated caller able to reach the port acted with them. The current code defaults the host to loopback, requires a server API key, and enforces it in middleware.

  • Aug 27, 2026mcp-go accepted requests on its HTTP transports without checking the Host header.CVE-2026-81092 · Other software · mark3labs · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.6

mcp-go accepted requests on its HTTP transports without checking the Host header. StreamableHTTPServer.ServeHTTP in server/streamable_http.go and SSEServer.ServeHTTP in server/sse.go served any request arriving over a loopback connection regardless of the host it named, and the SSE transport's cross-origin default allowed any origin. A page in a browser could therefore point a name it controlled at the loopback address and reach a server listening there, invoking tools and reading resources that the server exposed on the assumption that only local software could connect. No release before 0.56.0 validated the header on either transport; 0.56.0 adds server/http_localhost.go, which rejects a loopback-bound request carrying a host that is not a loopback name, and wires it into both transports.

The LoRaWAN TS004 Fragmented Data Block Transport handler frag_transport_package_callback() in subsys/lorawan/services/frag_transport.c parses downlink command bytes without validating that enough payload bytes remain before each access. The loop's only bound is rx_pos < len; after consuming the one-byte command id the handler cast rx_buf + rx_pos to a 10-byte struct frag_transport_setup_req, and for a DATA_FRAGMENT command passed &rx_buf[rx_pos] to the fragment decoder, which reads exactly ctx.frag_size bytes — with no remaining-length check in either case. The fragment size is attacker-chosen in a preceding FRAG_SESSION_SETUP command (ctx.frag_size = req->frag_size, capped at CONFIG_LORAWAN_FRAG_TRANSPORT_MAX_FRAG_SIZE, default 232). rx_buf aliases the 255-byte static MacCtx.RxPayload buffer in the loramac-node MAC layer, while len is the actual decrypted payload length. By padding a downlink with mismatched-index DATA_FRAGMENT filler commands (each advancing rx_pos by three bytes without producing an answer) and appending one matching-index fragment near the end of the payload, an attacker can make the decoder read up to roughly frag_size bytes past the end of RxPayload, copyin

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: clear control chunk transport if it is being removed sctp_make_heartbeat_ack() caches the destination transport in chunk->transport without taking a reference. When src_out_of_asoc_ok is enabled, the HEARTBEAT ACK may remain queued on control_chunk_list instead of being transmitted immediately. If the peer transport is removed while the chunk is still queued, sctp_assoc_rm_peer() drops the transport and schedules it for RCU freeing, but only clears cached transport pointers in out_chunk_list. The queued control chunk therefore retains a dangling transport pointer. Once an ASCONF_ACK clears the suppression and the queued control chunk is transmitted, SCTP dereferences the stale transport pointer, leading to a use-after-free. Fix this by also clearing chunk->transport for queued control chunks in control_chunk_list when removing the transport.

If that transport is removed - sctp_assoc_rm_peer() from an ASCONF Delete-IP - sctp_transport_free() RCU-frees it and the chunk is left with a dangling pointer. sctp_assoc_rm_peer() scrubs peer->transmitted and asoc->outqueue.out_chunk_list, but the chunk is on neither. The pointer is not followed while tsn_gap_acked is set. A SACK that reneges on the TSN clears the flag, and the next SACK reaches tchunk->transport->flight_size -= sctp_data_size(tchunk); inside the freed transport. KASAN reports a slab-use-after-free read in sctp_check_transmitted(), freed from sctp_assoc_rm_peer(). Both the removal and the SACKs come from the association peer. Set chunk->transport at the move.
