Jun 19, 2026Royal Addons for Elementor – Addons and Templates Kit for Elementor: Arbitrary File ReadCVE-2026-8118 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5
The Royal Addons for Elementor – Addons and Templates Kit for Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Read in versions 1.7.1058 through 1.7.1059. This is due to the wpr_get_csv_handle() helper (introduced in version 1.7.1058 as part of the patch for CVE-2026-6229) falling back to is_readable() and fopen($source, 'r') on the attacker-controlled settings.table_upload_csv.url value when it does not parse as an HTTP URL, with no allow-list, traversal block, or extension check. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to save a crafted wpr-data-table widget through Elementor's save_builder endpoint and have the rendered preview return the line-by-line contents of any file readable by the PHP process, including wp-config.php.

May 22, 2026Easy Elements for Elementor – Addons & Website Templates: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-9018 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Easy Elements for Elementor – Addons & Website Templates plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.5 via the `easyel_handle_register()` function. This is due to the `wp_ajax_nopriv_eel_register` AJAX handler iterating the attacker-controlled `custom_meta` POST array and writing every supplied key-value pair to the newly created user's meta via `update_user_meta()` without any key whitelist or blocklist, allowing the `wp_capabilities` user meta key to be overwritten after `wp_insert_user()` has already assigned a safe role. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to register a new account with full administrator-level privileges by supplying `custom_meta[wp_capabilities][administrator]=1`. Exploitation requires that user registration is enabled on the site and that at least one page exposes the Login/Register widget, which publishes the required `easy_elements_nonce` into the page DOM where it can be retrieved by any unauthenticated visitor via a simple GET request.

The Easy Elements for Elementor – Addons & Website Templates plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation via user registration in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.4. This is due to insufficient output escaping in the render_callback() function where these attributes are placed into class and data-id HTML attributes using raw sprintf() and implode() without esc_attr() escaping.
