Oct 8, 2026In OpenStack Mistral through 23.0.0, several of the v2 API write paths resolve the target object with a query that can return another project's resource, then wCVE-2026-97147 · Other software · OpenStack · reported by MITREHigh 7.2
In OpenStack Mistral through 23.0.0, several of the v2 API write paths resolve the target object with a query that can return another project's resource, then write to it. An authenticated project member can use this to rewrite and un-publish another project's public action definitions and environments. A project administrator can create a workbook whose embedded ad-hoc action or workflow name collides with a resource of another project, which moves that resource into the caller's project and causes the original owner's subsequent updates of it to fail with server errors. Only deployments exposing the Mistral API are affected.

Oct 8, 2026Improper link resolution and external control of file paths in the administrative command-line operations of hMailServer.exe in Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.CVE-2026-107578 · Other software · Progressive Robot Ltd · reported by cve@gitlab.comMedium 6.7
Improper link resolution and external control of file paths in the administrative command-line operations of hMailServer.exe in Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.3.4 and 6.3.5 allow a local attacker who already runs code as the low-privilege service account to escalate privilege. On Windows, operations run with administrator rights by the installer, DBSetup, the Control Panel or an administrator wrote log entries and crash records into the log folder, created, deleted and changed the permissions of the self-signed certificate and private key in the data folder, and rewrote message files in the data folder, all by path in folders the service account (NT SERVICE\hMailServer, the default for new installations since 6.3.4) can modify, following junctions and mount points; and the store-maintenance operations reached files by names taken from the database, which the service account can write, including names outside the data folder. On Linux, the store-maintenance and object-storage operations run as root followed symbolic links the service account (the packaged hmailserver user, which owns the data folder) planted in it, so a root-run operation read, wrote or removed the link's target as

Oct 7, 2026Path traversal of 'trusted_jar_paths' in Impala 4.5.2 allows an attacker-controlled JAR to be loaded via a relative path where the prefix matches a path specifiCVE-2026-90466 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 6.5
Path traversal of 'trusted_jar_paths' in Impala 4.5.2 allows an attacker-controlled JAR to be loaded via a relative path where the prefix matches a path specified in 'trusted_jar_paths'. The startup flag 'trusted_jar_paths' references URIs for loading files from local or remote filesystems. Path traversal can't override the schema, but can result in loading a JAR that has been uploaded to a different location in that filesystem via Impala DDLs such as CREATE DATA SOURCE and CREATE TABLE. Path traversal can only be used if a trusted path exists, so this attack requires 'trusted_jar_paths' have a non-empty value configured by the Impala admin. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.5.3, which fixes this issue.

Oct 6, 2026The Gitea push mirror API checked whether the repository owner, instead of the requesting user, may use local file system paths.CVE-2026-86684 · Other software · Gitea · reported by 88ee5874-cf24-4952-aea0-31affedb7ff2High 7.1
The Gitea push mirror API checked whether the repository owner, instead of the requesting user, may use local file system paths. On instances with `[security] IMPORT_LOCAL_PATHS = true`, a repository administrator who is not allowed to import local paths could add a push mirror to a local path on the server when the repository owner has that permission. Gitea then pushed the repository's refs into an existing Git repository at that path with the permissions of the Gitea process.

Oct 6, 2026Gitea's OAuth2 and OpenID Connect sign-in paths do not require a WebAuthn challenge when WebAuthn is the account's only configured second factor.CVE-2026-73278 · Other software · Gitea · reported by 88ee5874-cf24-4952-aea0-31affedb7ff2Critical 9.8
Gitea's OAuth2 and OpenID Connect sign-in paths do not require a WebAuthn challenge when WebAuthn is the account's only configured second factor. A party able to authenticate through the affected external identity flow can obtain a full session without the passkey verification enforced during password login. One affected path can also persist an external identity link, extending the compromise beyond the initial session; accounts with TOTP configured are outside the reported WebAuthn-only scenario.

Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Restore HMM_PFN_WRITE check in ODP write paths Commit 0b261d7c1cd3 ("RDMA/rxe: BCVE-2026-98361 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Restore HMM_PFN_WRITE check in ODP write paths Commit 0b261d7c1cd3 ("RDMA/rxe: Break endless pagefault loop for RO pages") dropped the access permission test from rxe_check_pagefault() and left only HMM_PFN_VALID. A page faulted in read-only, for example a page-cache folio behind a PROT_READ file mapping, then satisfies the check and ODP write operations (RDMA WRITE, RDMA READ response, SEND payload, atomics) modify it through kmap without ever breaking CoW. An unprivileged user can register an ODP MR over such a mapping and have incoming RDMA traffic overwrite the page cache of a file it only holds O_RDONLY, including /etc/passwd or setuid binaries. This is the same primitive class as Dirty COW and CVE-2022-2590. mlx5 has the missing invariant: its ODP path sets the device write bit only for pfns that carry HMM_PFN_WRITE. Restore it in rxe by requiring HMM_PFN_WRITE in rxe_check_pagefault() for every operation except RXE_PAGEFAULT_RDONLY. A write to a non-writable VMA now fails the one fault attempt with -EPERM from hmm_vma_fault() instead of re-faulting forever. For a writable VMA the fault breaks C

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: set up the TX info early to fix failure paths The previous commit 2c51457d930f ("wifi: mac80211: free ack status frame on TX header build failure") cleaned up the leak, but still left the code a bit messy and the failed SKB didn't get reported to userspace. Fix this up by initialising skb->cb[] earlier, which allows using ieee80211_free_txskb() and therefore reports it for the failure in ieee80211_build_hdr(), and unifies the ieee80211_skb_resize() failure path with it.

Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: xfrm: use full sockets in local error paths xfrm6_local_rxpmtu() and xfrm6_local_errCVE-2026-98241 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: xfrm: use full sockets in local error paths xfrm6_local_rxpmtu() and xfrm6_local_error() dereference skb->sk as if it always pointed at a full IPv6 socket. That is not guaranteed. TCP SYN-ACK skbs can be owned by a TCP_NEW_SYN_RECV request_sock while the output path itself is driven by the full listener. If rerouting selects an IPv6 XFRM tunnel route with a lower MTU, the local PMTU/error handling path can reach these callbacks with that mini-socket still attached to the skb. The callbacks then miscast the request socket as a full inet/IPv6 socket and can read beyond the request_sock allocation when they access inet_sock or ipv6_pinfo state. Resolve the owner with skb_to_full_sk() in both callbacks and bail out when no full socket is attached. This matches the surrounding XFRM IPv6 PMTU/error logic, which already reasons about full sockets with skb_to_full_sk().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Fix NULL sched deref in kfunc sub-sched error paths When the root scheduler has sub-scheds attached, the COMPAT kfunc wrappers scx_bpf_select_cpu_and() and scx_bpf_dsq_insert_vtime() refuse the call and report to @p's scheduler: scx_error(scx_task_sched(p), "... must be used"); The wrappers are reachable with tasks that have no scheduler. scx_bpf_select_cpu_and() is in the select_cpu kfunc group, which scx_kfunc_context_filter() opens to BPF_PROG_TYPE_SYSCALL programs; scx_bpf_dsq_insert_vtime() is in the enqueue_dispatch group, which ops.enqueue() and ops.dispatch() may call with any KF_RCU task -- the group has no kf_tasks validation, and scx_dsq_insert_preamble() checks task ownership with scx_task_on_sched() precisely because @p may be an arbitrary task. scx_task_sched(p) is p->scx.sched, which is NULL for tasks past sched_ext_dead() -- which clears it via scx_disable_and_exit_task() on exit -- and for idle tasks, which the enable paths skip as they are never scheduled through SCX. It is also an rcu_dereference_protected() that expects @p's pi_lock or rq lock, which neither wrapper holds. Passi

Sep 23, 2026In Flatpak before 1.18.1, the revokefs writer, used by the flatpak-system-helper to receive repository data from unprivileged callers, validated file paths by rCVE-2026-96808 · Other software · Flatpak · reported by MITREHigh 7.4
In Flatpak before 1.18.1, the revokefs writer, used by the flatpak-system-helper to receive repository data from unprivileged callers, validated file paths by rejecting literal .. components but did not prevent symlink traversal. A malicious local user in an active local session could obtain two revokefs sessions via the system helper, create a symlink in one session pointing into the other session's directory, and retain a file descriptor through that symlink. This allowed the attacker to modify files belonging to a different revokefs session after they had been validated and imported by the system helper. In particular, an attacker could use this to tamper with ostree commit objects in the system repository after they passed signature verification, enabling root-controlled file writes to attacker-chosen paths and local root privilege escalation.

Sep 21, 2026The login() function in MISP's UsersController.php contained insufficient HTTP method validation for several security-critical code paths.CVE-2026-94379 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 6.9
The login() function in MISP's UsersController.php contained insufficient HTTP method validation for several security-critical code paths. The original code used an allowlist approach, checking only for specific HTTP methods (POST and PUT) before enforcing bruteforce protection, email one-time-password (OTP) verification, and login-failure logging. Because the checks were not exhaustive, an unauthenticated attacker could issue login requests using other HTTP methods and bypass all three security controls simultaneously. Specifically: - the bruteforce blocklisting check and attempt counter were skipped, allowing unlimited credential-guessing attempts without being rate-limited or blocked - the email OTP two-factor authentication step was skipped, defeating the second factor of authentication - login-failure events were neither logged nor counted, removing the audit trail and the mechanism that would normally trigger a blocklist entry. The security impact is the effective disabling of brute-force protection and multi-factor authentication for any attacker who can craft an HTTP request with a non-POST/PUT method to the login endpoint, potentially leading to credential compro

Any authenticated user can lock or unlock files they do not own by targeting absolute WebDAV paths of other users. The DAV plugin resolves files from the absolute request URI without verifying that the path segment matches the authenticated session user. This enables: Cross-user manual locks : attacker locks a victim's files, blocking writes (PUT/MOVE/DELETE, editor saves). Lock-token disclosure: the app returns the lock token to unauthorized callers, enabling them to remove token-based locks (client locks) of other users.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: f_fs: Fix fence cleanup in ffs_dmabuf_transfer() error paths The error paths for endpoint-disabled (ESHUTDOWN) and request-allocation failure (ENOMEM) in ffs_dmabuf_transfer() jump to err_fence_put which calls dma_fence_put() on the fence. However, at that point the fence has only been kmalloc'd — dma_fence_init() has not been called yet, so the refcount and the fence ops are uninitialized. Calling dma_fence_put() on such an object leads to undefined behavior. Use kfree() instead, since the fence is just a plain allocation at this stage, and rename the label to err_fence_free to reflect the actual cleanup action.

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPI: PCI: Clear driver_data on all paths that free the acpi_pci_root acpi_pci_root_add() CVE-2026-92521 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPI: PCI: Clear driver_data on all paths that free the acpi_pci_root acpi_pci_root_add() assigns the freshly allocated root to device->driver_data before dmar_device_add() and pci_acpi_scan_root(). Both failure paths reach the end: label where root is kfree()'d, but only the pci_acpi_scan_root() path clears driver_data first. When dmar_device_add() fails during a hot-add, root is freed while device->driver_data still points at it. The ACPI core does not clear driver_data on attach failure, so a later acpi_pci_find_root() call may dereference this dangling pointer. acpi_pci_root_remove() has the same problem: it frees root without clearing device->driver_data, leaving a dangling pointer behind after the root bridge is removed. Move the NULL assignment to the shared end: label so every error path in acpi_pci_root_add() clears driver_data before freeing root, and clear it in acpi_pci_root_remove() as well, so the object is never left reachable through driver_data after being freed.

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Reject >8 byte return values on return-reading trampoline paths btf_distill_func_protCVE-2026-90359 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Reject >8 byte return values on return-reading trampoline paths btf_distill_func_proto() builds the function model used for the fentry/fexit/fmod_ret/fsession trampolines and struct_ops. It has accepted a 16-byte __int128 return value since the trampoline was introduced: __get_type_size() returns the integer's type size, and the return-type check only rejected ret < 0. But the BPF trampoline preserves only 8 bytes of the return value (RAX on x86, i.e. R0). For an attach type that reads the target's return value the second half (RDX / R3) is neither saved nor restored, so a program attached to a function returning a 16-byte value corrupts the value seen by the real caller and itself observes only half of it. struct_ops trampolines have the same limitation. This affects the attach types that read the target's return value: fexit, fmod_ret and fsession (plus the _multi variants of fexit and fsession), and struct_ops. fentry/fentry_multi run before the target returns and are unaffected. Reject a >8 byte return value for these attach types in bpf_check_attach_target() and bpf_check_attach_btf_id_multi(), and f

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: free the advertising instance on the failure and cancel paths adv_timeout_expire() hands a kmalloc()ed instance byte to hci_cmd_sync_queue() with a NULL destroy callback, and only adv_timeout_expire_sync() frees it. That leaks on two paths: - the return value is not checked, and hci_cmd_sync_queue() does not take ownership when it fails (-ENETDOWN, -ENODEV, -ENOMEM); - a cancelled entry is not released, as _hci_cmd_sync_cancel_entry() does not free entry->data when there is no destroy callback. hci_cmd_sync_clear() cancels every pending entry when the controller is unregistered. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Check pointer type for all atomic RMW paths Atomic RMW verification records an instruction pointer type only when the current destination is PTR_TO_ARENA. A second path can therefore reach the same instruction with an ordinary pointer without comparing it against the saved arena type. The post-verification fixup uses the saved type to rewrite the instruction to BPF_PROBE_ATOMIC for every path. Record the actual destination type for all atomic RMW paths so the existing mismatch check rejects incompatible uses of one instruction.

Sep 17, 2026vm2 versions 3.11.0 through 3.11.6 leak absolute host filesystem paths to sandboxed code through error stack formatting.CVE-2026-92936 · Other software · patriksimek · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9
vm2 versions 3.11.0 through 3.11.6 leak absolute host filesystem paths to sandboxed code through error stack formatting. Attacker-supplied code can force the host-realm source transformer to throw a SyntaxError (for example by calling eval with malformed source) and then read the error's .stack property; the bridge forwards the .stack read to the host-realm formatter, bypassing the sandbox-side host-path redaction introduced for GHSA-v27g-jcqj-v8rw. The returned stack string discloses absolute paths from vm2, Node.js internals, and the embedding application's own source tree, along with host function names. Default new VM() and new NodeVM() configurations are affected without any special options, and the issue persists when string eval is disabled because the host-side transformer throws before eval is handled. The impact is information disclosure only; no code execution results. Fixed in vm2 3.11.7.
