  • Oct 6, 2026Improper authentication (CWE-287) in the OAuth token endpoint in Cloud Foundry UAA allows a remote, authenticated attacker holding a valid user access token to CVE-2026-59358 · Other software · Cloud Foundry · reported by security@vmware.comHigh 7.6

Improper authentication (CWE-287) in the OAuth token endpoint in Cloud Foundry UAA allows a remote, authenticated attacker holding a valid user access token to obtain a fully-privileged client_credentials token for the OAuth client that issued it, by presenting the user token as an OAuth 2.0 Bearer credential on a client_credentials grant request in place of the client’s configured secret. UAA’s client_credentials handling does not verify that the Bearer credential supplied for client authentication is actually a client credential (a client secret or a valid configured client authentication method); it accepts any valid access token whose client_id matches the request. A token obtained by a normal end user through a public authorization_code + PKCE flow — scoped only to uaa.user, carrying a user_id, and recording client_auth_method=none — satisfies this check. That user token cannot itself administer OAuth clients (POST /oauth/clients correctly returns 403), but when replayed as Bearer authentication on a client_credentials request for the same client, UAA issues a new client-only token carrying the client’s full authorities, such as clients.write. An attacker can use that token

Incorrect Authorization in the OAuth 1.0a authorization endpoint of Apache Roller 6.1.5 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker who learns an outstanding request token for a configured site-wide consumer to bind that token to an arbitrary user account, including an administrator, by submitting an unsigned authorization request. The endpoint derives the authorizing identity from a request-supplied value rather than the authenticated session. Only installations that configure an OAuth 1.0a site-wide consumer are affected, and exploitation requires knowledge of one of its outstanding request tokens. Users are recommended to upgrade to Apache Roller 6.1.6 or later, which binds authorization to the logged-in session.

  • Sep 27, 2026Nezha 2.2.3 contains a Host header injection regression in the OAuth2 redirect endpoint.CVE-2026-101090 · Other software · nezhahq · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.3

Nezha 2.2.3 contains a Host header injection regression in the OAuth2 redirect endpoint. When the new optional dashboard_host setting is empty, /api/v1/oauth2/{provider} (cmd/dashboard/controller/oauth2.go) reflects the attacker-supplied HTTP Host header into the redirect_uri sent to the identity provider instead of falling back to the configured install_host. An attacker who induces a victim to begin OAuth2 login via a request that reaches Nezha with a forged Host header can cause an attacker-controlled callback URL to be used as the redirect_uri; if the OAuth2 provider accepts it, the victim's authorization code is delivered to the attacker origin, allowing the attacker to complete the OAuth2 login/binding flow and take over the account. This regresses the fix for GHSA-9rc6-8cjv-rcvx and is configuration-dependent (dashboard_host empty). At the time of the advisory no patched version was available.

Obot before v0.23.0 (affected versions <= v0.22.1) running with OBOT_SERVER_ENABLE_AUTHENTICATION=true exposes OAuth dynamic client registration without authentication and without any restriction on the redirect URIs a client may register. Because the authorization flow auto-completes for an already logged-in user with no consent screen, an attacker who registers a client pointing at their own domain and induces a logged-in victim to visit a single crafted authorization URL receives an authorization code at the attacker-controlled redirect URI and can exchange it for an access token and refresh token. The token minted by the MCP OAuth flow carries the victim's full group set in the JWT, and Obot validated only the issuer and not the audience, so the token is accepted as a bearer token against any Obot API endpoint the victim can access rather than being scoped to the requested MCP server, allowing the attacker to read or modify the victim's resources until the token is revoked. v0.23.0 adds a consent screen, restricts MCP OAuth tokens to the MCP involved in the request, and enforces audience validation.

  • Sep 25, 2026FriendsOfFlarum OAuth allows users to log in to Flarum with GitHub, Twitter, Facebook, and other providers.CVE-2026-92161 · Other software · FriendsOfFlarum · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8

FriendsOfFlarum OAuth allows users to log in to Flarum with GitHub, Twitter, Facebook, and other providers. Prior to 1.7.4 and 2.0.0-beta.4, the Discord OAuth provider does not check the verified field returned for an OAuth email before passing the address to Flarum core as trusted through provideTrustedEmail(). When Discord sign-in is enabled, an unauthenticated attacker who knows the email address of a Flarum user can configure a Discord account with that unverified address and a verified phone number, then sign in to cause Flarum to match the trusted address, link the attacker-controlled Discord identity to the existing user, and authenticate as the victim without a password or victim interaction. Exploitation requires that the victim's email address is not already associated with a Discord account, and it can compromise administrator accounts. Other bundled providers were not confirmed to be practically exploitable by this method because their relevant authentication flows return only verified or confirmed email addresses. This issue is fixed in versions 1.7.4 and 2.0.0-beta.4.

Lemonldap::NG::Portal versions from 2.20.0 before 2.21.6, from 2.22.0 before 2.23.4 for Perl allow unauthenticated OAuth2 token introspection because checkEndPointAuthenticationCredentials does not verify the client secret of a public Relying Party. checkEndPointAuthenticationCredentials() skips the secret comparison for a Relying Party marked public and still returns the authentication method deduced from the request, client_secret_basic or client_secret_post. introspection() rejects a caller only when that method is missing or none, so a request carrying a public client_id and an arbitrary or empty secret passes the endpoint's authentication check. An attacker who holds an access token and knows the client_id of any public Relying Party can confirm the token is active and read its metadata, including scope, audience, expiry and the sub claim. The sub claim is computed with the calling Relying Party's user identifier attribute, so an attacker can translate a user identifier from one Relying Party to another, defeating per-client and pseudonymous identifiers.

  • Sep 24, 2026authentik is an open-source identity provider.CVE-2026-94613 · Other software · goauthentik · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

authentik is an open-source identity provider. Prior to 2026.2.7, 2026.5.7, and 2026.8.2, an unauthenticated attacker can submit a malformed SAML message to an authentik deployment using SAML in either the identity-provider or SAML source role. The message can stop the worker handling /application/saml/* or /source/saml/*, causing the requests assigned to that worker to fail. Worker process termination and automatic restart do not destroy database-backed sessions, but continued malicious messages can cause a sustained share of legitimate traffic to fail. Insufficient Session Expiration vulnerability in OAuth token issuance in hexpm hexpm allows a user whose organization membership or session has ended to keep reading the organization's private packages and their documentation tarballs via a retained refresh token. generate_refresh_token/4 in lib/hexpm/oauth/jwt.ex signs the refresh token with the same iss, aud and scope claims as the access token, so it carries the same repository:<org> scopes. The CDN service that serves private repositories verifies the signature and time claims and then authorizes from the scope claim, with no database lookup and no way to tell the two token kinds apart. Removing a member or revoking a session therefore takes effect at the CDN only when the 30 day refresh token expires, instead of after the 30 minute access token lifetime. Access is read-only and limited to organizations the account belonged to when the token was granted. This issue affects hex.pm: from 2025-10-10 before 2026-09-22.

Improper Authentication vulnerability in team-alembic AshAuthentication allows an attacker to be signed in as another user by linking an OAuth2 identity to an account that is not theirs. AshAuthentication.Strategy.OAuth2.UserResolver.resolve/3 matches an existing account using the register action's upsert_identity keys, then gates linking the incoming provider identity to it on email_trusted?/2, which reads only the provider's email_verified boolean and never compares the provider's email value with the matched account's email. That gate assumes the account was matched by its email field, so under any other upsert_identity it is vacuous and an attacker presenting their own verified email is attached to, and issued a session for, an account matched on some other attribute. The same unguarded gate applies in OAuth2.SignInPreparation on the registration_enabled? false path, where the account is matched by the sign-in action's read filter instead. The upsert also rewrites the matched account's email to the attacker's address, so later account recovery reaches the attacker rather than the owner. Insufficient Session Expiration vulnerability in team-alembic AshAuthentication allows an attacker who obtains a victim's OAuth2 state value to replay the callback and sign that victim into an attacker-controlled account. AshAuthentication.Strategy.OAuth2.Plug.callback/2 clears the stored session_params through a rebinding step inside its with chain, conn <- delete_session(conn, session_key). Elixir evaluates the else block in the scope enclosing the with, so every failure path (the provider returning ?error=access_denied, an invalid code, a token-exchange error, or a registration or sign-in failure) reaches store_authentication_result/2 holding the original connection and the session entry is never removed. The value the module's own comment describes as protection against a CSRF-related attack is therefore consumed only when authentication succeeds, and survives a cancelled or failed attempt until the next request phase or session expiry. Concrete CMS before 9.5.4 re-authorized OAuth REST API requests from the bearer token alone and did not re-check the state of the account the token had been issued to. The resource server's authorization validator confirmed only that a token existed, had not expired, and had not been explicitly revoked, and deactivating a user did not revoke that user's outstanding tokens. As a result, a deactivated user retained full access to /ccm/api/1.0/* for the remaining lifetime of any token already issued to them. The same gap applied to accounts that had been deleted or locked pending a forced password reset. The Concrete CMS security team gave this vulnerability a CVSS v4.0 score of 2.0 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:H/AT:P/PR:L/UI:A/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N. A JWT signature verification vulnerability affects Kong components that perform JWT validation for MCP OAuth2 or DataKit integrations inside Kong API Gateway Enterprise. The affected code does not properly validate that the JWT signing algorithm is compatible with the type of key used for verification. As a result, an unauthenticated remote attacker may be able to craft a forged JWT that is incorrectly accepted as valid, leading to authentication bypass and potential compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Apache Airflow FAB provider: the Authentik OAuth path in the FAB auth manager does not validate the issuer or audience claims of the id_token it accepts. An attacker holding a token that the same Authentik identity provider minted for a different client application can present it to Airflow and be authenticated as the user it names, because the audience claim is never checked. Affects deployments using the FAB auth manager with Authentik OAuth where the same Authentik instance also serves other applications; the attacker needs a valid token for any of those other applications, not for Airflow. CVE-2026-75156 corrected the same missing validation on the Azure AD path in this file; the Authentik path was left unchanged and is fixed here. Deployments that applied the CVE-2026-75156 fix and use Authentik must also upgrade for this one. Users of apache-airflow-providers-fab are recommended to upgrade to version 3.9.0 or later, which fixes the issue.

Concrete CMS 8.5.3 through 9.5.2 enabled the OAuth 2.0 refresh-token grant using the unmodified upstream League grant, which issued new access tokens from a valid refresh token without re-checking the associated account's active status. • Sep 15, 2026Vouch Proxy is an SSO and OAuth/OIDC login solution for Nginx using the auth_request module.CVE-2026-55149 · Other software · vouch · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

Vouch Proxy is an SSO and OAuth/OIDC login solution for Nginx using the auth_request module. Prior to 0.48.0, Cookie in pkg/cookie/cookie.go parses the total part count from an attacker-controlled multipart cookie name and passes the value to make([]string, numParts) without checking that the value is positive or reasonably bounded. Requests to /validate and /_external-auth-:id reach JWTCacheHandler in pkg/jwtmanager/jwtcache.go, FindJWT in pkg/jwtmanager/jwtmanager.go, and the vulnerable cookie reassembly before JWT validation, so no account or valid session is required. A cookie name such as VouchCookie_1of10000000000 causes an attempted slice allocation of roughly 160 GB and a fatal Go runtime out-of-memory condition, allowing one request to crash the authentication proxy and repeated requests to sustain unavailability. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.48.0.

Snipe-IT versions 4.2.0 through 8.6.3 expose Laravel Passport's auto-registered personal-access-token routes (GET, POST, DELETE /oauth/personal-access-tokens*) with only 'web' and 'auth:web' middleware, without the self.api permission gate that Snipe-IT enforces on its own token endpoints (/account/api and /api/v1/account/personal-access-tokens). Any user with a valid web session and the corresponding CSRF token can POST to /oauth/personal-access-tokens and mint a long-lived bearer token for their own account, even when an administrator has denied the self.api permission. The issued token is still subject to existing per-endpoint authorization policies, so this is not a privilege escalation; it defeats the administrative control intended to block API/scripted access at the user's own permission level. Fixed in 8.7.0 (commit 3f74b8c), which registers overriding routes wrapped in the can:self.api middleware.

  • Sep 8, 2026Apache Airflow FAB provider versions 3.7.3 through 3.8.0 do not validate the issuer or audience of Azure AD `id_token`s during OAuth login.CVE-2026-75156 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.1

Apache Airflow FAB provider versions 3.7.3 through 3.8.0 do not validate the issuer or audience of Azure AD `id_token`s during OAuth login. Deployments are affected only when the FAB auth manager is configured with Azure AD as an OAuth provider. Because the signing keys are fetched from Microsoft's **multi-tenant** JWKS endpoint, an `id_token` minted in *any* Azure tenant — including one the attacker creates — passes signature verification, and the username and role assignments are then read from that attacker-controlled token. Anyone able to register an Azure tenant can therefore authenticate to the Airflow UI with no prior access to the deployment. The fix for **CVE-2026-59243** was incomplete, and this advisory closes the remaining gap: that fix made the provider verify the `id_token` signature, but did not add issuer or audience checks. Operators who already applied the CVE-2026-59243 fix are **still affected and must upgrade again** — 3.7.3 is the release that shipped that fix, so every version containing it falls inside this affected range. Improper Authentication vulnerability in ash-project ash_authentication_oauth2_server allows an unauthenticated attacker to register OAuth clients even when Dynamic Client Registration is gated by an initial access token. resolve_secret/3 in AshAuthentication.Oauth2Server (reached through __resolve_secret__!) treated any return other than {:ok, _} or :error from a configured {module, function, args} or 2-arity-function secret provider as a valid secret, wrapping nil, false, or "" as {:ok, value}. When the initial_access_token resolves to such an empty value, POST /oauth/register compares the presented bearer token against it and the comparison passes with no token supplied, so registration is open although it was configured closed. The same fail-open affected other resolved secrets such as signing_secret. This issue affects ash_authentication_oauth2_server: from 0.1.0 before 0.3.1.

Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in ash-project ash_authentication_oauth2_server allows an attacker who controls a client metadata URL and its DNS to make the server connect to internal or loopback addresses. public_ip?/1 in AshAuthentication.Oauth2Server.CIMD.ReqFetcher enforces the outbound policy for CIMD metadata fetches. Improper Encoding or Escaping of Output vulnerability in ash-project ash_authentication_oauth2_server allows an unauthenticated attacker to inject arbitrary authentication parameters into the WWW-Authenticate challenge header. BearerPlug and RequireScopePlug built the Bearer resource_metadata="..." challenge by interpolating a resource_metadata URL derived from the request tenant directly into the quoted value. In a multi-tenant application that sets the Ash tenant from request-controlled data (a subdomain, the Host, a path segment, or a header), a tenant containing a " closes the quoted value and appends attacker-chosen auth-params, including a second resource_metadata URL pointing at an attacker-controlled authorization server that spec-following clients follow. Carriage returns and line feeds are rejected by Plug, so this is parameter injection within one header, not response splitting.
