Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: lockd: fix swapped arguments in nlmsvc_match_ip() When releasing locks by server IP addresCVE-2026-93231 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: lockd: fix swapped arguments in nlmsvc_match_ip() When releasing locks by server IP address via /proc/fs/nfsd/unlock_ip, nlmsvc_unlock_all_by_ip() calls nlm_traverse_files() with the server sockaddr as the opaque @data argument: nlm_traverse_files(server_addr, nlmsvc_match_ip, NULL); The match callback is later invoked from nlm_traverse_locks() as: match(lockhost, host); where the first argument is the nlm_host that owns the lock, and the second argument is the @data that was originally passed down (here the server sockaddr). This is the convention every other match callback relies on (nlmsvc_mark_host(), nlmsvc_same_host(), nlmsvc_is_client()): arg1 is the real nlm_host, arg2 is the caller-supplied reference value. nlmsvc_match_ip() has had these two arguments reversed ever since the unlock-by-IP feature was introduced in commit 4373ea84c84d ("lockd: unlock lockd locks associated with a given server ip"): return rpc_cmp_addr(nlm_srcaddr(host), datap); Here @host is actually the server sockaddr, so nlm_srcaddr(host) dereferences a struct sockaddr as a struct nlm_host and reads garbage at the offset of

Sep 22, 2026Tutor LMS – eLearning and online course solution: Insecure Direct Object ReferenceCVE-2026-18439 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The Tutor LMS – eLearning and online course solution plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in versions up to, and including, 4.0.7 via the tutor_quiz_builder_save AJAX action due to missing validation that nested question_id, answer_id, deleted_question_ids[], and deleted_answer_ids[] values in the submitted payload belong to a quiz/topic/course the requester is authorized to manage. The handler only validates the top-level course_id, topic_id, and (when supplied) payload['ID'], but the nested identifiers are passed straight into $wpdb->update/DELETE statements in QuizBuilder::save_questions(), QuizBuilder::save_question_answers(), and QuizBuilder::handle_delete(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Instructor-level access and above, to overwrite the content and re-parent arbitrary quiz questions/answers belonging to other instructors or administrators, and to delete arbitrary quiz question and answer rows.

Sep 18, 2026Tutor LMS – eLearning and online course solution: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-88944 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The Tutor LMS – eLearning and online course solution plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.8. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to permanently delete arbitrary WordPress posts — including pages, courses, quizzes, and WooCommerce products — via wp_delete_post( $id, true ). The exploit chain requires the attacker to first trigger the profile-photo upload flow to obtain an authored wp_posts attachment row, then create a Tutor topic reparented to that attachment, before invoking the lesson deletion handler against any target post ID.

Sep 17, 2026Frappe Learning Management System (LMS) is a learning system that helps users structure their content.CVE-2026-54343 · Other software · frappe · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7
Frappe Learning Management System (LMS) is a learning system that helps users structure their content. Prior to version 2.52.1, a remote attacker can request a traversal path handled by SCORMRenderer.render in lms/page_renderers.py. The renderer constructs and opens a server-side path without first confirming that its real path remains within public/scorm, allowing files outside the SCORM directory to be read when they are accessible to the server process. This issue is fixed in version 2.52.1.

Sep 17, 2026Chamilo LMS is an open-source learning management system.CVE-2026-45143 · Other software · chamilo · reported by GitHubCritical 9
Chamilo LMS is an open-source learning management system. From 2.0.0 through at least 2.1.0, Chamilo LMS stores private Message.content without server-side sanitization and renders it as HTML in assets/vue/views/message/MessageShow.vue and public/main/template/default/message/view_message.html.twig. An authenticated low-privilege user, including a student, can directly address crafted message content to an administrator because the message creation flow permits a sender to select another user as the recipient. The content executes in the recipient's browser when the recipient opens the routine inbox or message view, without requiring a link click, and can expose session credentials or permit actions as the administrator. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.0.1.

Sep 15, 2026A flaw was found in gss-ntlmssp.CVE-2026-91926 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatLow 3.7
A flaw was found in gss-ntlmssp. A memory leak occurs in the NTLM target-info parser when a crafted NTLM CHALLENGE message contains duplicated string-valued AV_PAIR entries. The parser allocates memory for each string value but does not free the previous allocation when the same AV_PAIR type appears more than once, leaking the earlier allocation. A malicious or man-in-the-middle server can exploit this to cause gradual memory exhaustion on the client during NTLM authentication, leading to a denial of service.

Sep 12, 2026Tutor LMS – eLearning and online course solution: PHP Object InjectionCVE-2026-78175 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Tutor LMS – eLearning and online course solution plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.7 via the `withdraw_method_field` parameter of the `tutor_save_withdraw_account` AJAX handler. This is due to the handler lacking any capability or role check, relying solely on a nonce, while also passing attacker-supplied values through `esc_sql()`, which replaces every `%` character with a 66-byte HMAC placeholder token before the data is serialized and stored via `update_user_meta()`; when the meta is later retrieved, the placeholder is collapsed back to a single `%`, leaving serialized string length declarations 65 bytes greater than the actual content, and because array keys originate from entirely unescaped POST field names, `unserialize()` over-reads into attacker-controlled bytes, allowing injection of an arbitrary serialized object stream. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to achieve remote code execution on the server by triggering the `GuzzleHttp\Cookie\FileCookieJar` POP chain, reachable via the `spl_autoload_register` loader in `TUTOR\RestAPI` which loads the

These handlers are registered on the wp_ajax_nopriv_* hook and contain no capability check, no nonce verification, and pass user-supplied data directly to update_option(). Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: lockd, nfsd: RCU-protect nlmsvc_ops dispatch nlmsvc_ops is published by nfsd_lockd_init() CVE-2026-89709 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: lockd, nfsd: RCU-protect nlmsvc_ops dispatch nlmsvc_ops is published by nfsd_lockd_init() and cleared by nfsd_lockd_shutdown() with plain stores, while lockd dereferences it unguarded from dispatch sites in fs/lockd/svcsubs.c. The pointer targets nfsd's .rodata and the fopen/fclose callbacks live in nfsd's .text, so a stale load after rmmod nfsd results in either a NULL deref or a module-text use-after-free. Declare nlmsvc_ops as __rcu, publish via rcu_assign_pointer(), clear via RCU_INIT_POINTER() + synchronize_rcu(). Add a struct module *owner field to nlmsvc_binding and pin the module across indirect calls with try_module_get/module_put. When the binding is torn down, fall back to fput() to avoid leaking struct file references.

Sep 4, 2026LearnDash LMS: Unrestricted File Type UploadCVE-2026-12483 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.5
The LearnDash LMS plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Unrestricted File Type Upload in versions up to and including 5.1.5. This is due to insufficient input validation in the 'learndash_fileupload_process' function, which iterates through an entire array and validates only the first file. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above who are enrolled in a course with assignment uploads enabled, to upload arbitrary disallowed files, including PHP files, to the server's wp-content/uploads/learndash/assignments/ directory. The uploaded files can only be used for Remote Code Execution if default server configurations have been changed to allow for execution.

Aug 28, 2026Tutor LMS – eLearning and online course solution: Remote Code Execution limited to zero-argument function invocationCVE-2026-16759 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5
The Tutor LMS – eLearning and online course solution plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution limited to zero-argument function invocation in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.5 via the tutor_course_filter_ajax AJAX action. This is due to missing authorization on the handler combined with unsanitized array keys being passed to extract() inside tutor_load_template(), allowing attacker-controlled POST data to overwrite the local $template variable and, in the resulting templates/single-content-loader.php template, the $method_map and $context variables invoked at $method_map[$context](). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to call an arbitrary zero-argument PHP function server-side and, via WordPress core edit_user(), to create a persistent subscriber-level account from request parameters.

Aug 26, 2026Tutor LMS: Does not validate values used to build a database queryCVE-2026-19094 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WPScanMedium 5.3
The Tutor LMS WordPress plugin before 4.0.6 does not validate values used to build a database query, and does not restrict which template file a request may load, allowing unauthenticated users to inject SQL and to read question and answer content belonging to courses that are not publicly available. The injected text reaches the query as grammar rather than as data, and on the database engines tested it does not yield extraction of arbitrary data, so the confidentiality impact is the disclosed course content rather than the database at large.
