Aug 11, 2026Social Login, Passkeys, Magic Link & Email OTP – Passwordless Login by VentraConnect: Authentication BypassCVE-2026-18961 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1
The Social Login, Passkeys, Magic Link & Email OTP – Passwordless Login by VentraConnect plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass via Unverified Provider Email in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.3. This is due to the plugin trusting the unverified email field returned by Spotify's /v1/me endpoint as proof of mailbox ownership — Generic::normalize_common() copies this value into the normalized profile without requiring an email_verified assertion, and User_Links::link_or_login_user() subsequently passes it directly to get_user_by('email', $email) and issues a persistent authentication cookie via wp_set_auth_cookie() without a provider-specific verified-email gate, a local mailbox challenge, or a logged-in approval step. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing WordPress user, including Administrators, by supplying a known target email address through a controlled Spotify OAuth flow, gaining full administrative access to the site.

Aug 5, 2026The Membership Plugin – Kadence Memberships plugin for WordPress (formerly Restrict Content) is vulnerable to password reset link poisoning leading to account tCVE-2026-9273 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.3
The Membership Plugin – Kadence Memberships plugin for WordPress (formerly Restrict Content) is vulnerable to password reset link poisoning leading to account takeover in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.0. This is due to the legacy lost-password handler rc_process_lost_password_form() consuming the attacker-controlled rc_redirect POST parameter into two unvalidated sinks in legacy/includes/forms.php: wp_redirect( esc_url( $_POST['rc_redirect'] ) . ... ) at line 243, and add_query_arg( array( 'key' => $key, 'login' => ... ), $_POST['rc_redirect'] ) inside rc_send_password_reset_email() at line 306. The nonce required to reach the handler is broadcast by the public [login_form] shortcode at line 207 to any anonymous visitor. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to issue a password-reset request for any account (including administrators) whose reset email body points the victim at an attacker-controlled host carrying a valid reset key/login. When the victim clicks the link, the reset key leaks to the attacker, who can replay it against the legitimate site to complete account takeover.

- What to do
- Affects up to 4.0.0. Update the plugin to the newest version and check its changelog mentions this fix; if there isn’t one yet, deactivate it until there is.

Aug 5, 2026PrettyLinks – Affiliate Links, Link Branding, Link Tracking, Marketing and Stripe Payments: SQL InjectionCVE-2026-5062 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.9
The PrettyLinks – Affiliate Links, Link Branding, Link Tracking, Marketing and Stripe Payments Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 's' (search) parameter on the Pretty Links listing page in all versions up to, and including, 3.6.20. This is due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query in the `search_links_table()` function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Administrator-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.

The miniOrange Social Login and Register (Discord, Google, Twitter, LinkedIn) WordPress plugin before 7.8.0 does not bind the one-time code used by its optional email-verification (Profile Completion) feature to the account it was issued for, allowing unauthenticated attackers to obtain a valid session for any account, including administrators, by requesting a code for an email address they control and replaying it against the victim's email address. The PhotoSwipe WordPress plugin through 4.1.1.1 uses the title attribute of author-supplied link markup as a lightbox caption that is written into the page DOM without escaping. Because the title attribute survives the post-content sanitization applied to users who lack the unfiltered_html capability, an authenticated user with Author-level access can store a JavaScript payload that executes in the browser of any visitor, including an administrator, who clicks the link.

Jul 11, 2026SurfLink - Ultimate Link Manager: Unauthorized data modificationCVE-2026-3552 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The SurfLink - Ultimate Link Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized data modification due to a missing capability check on the ajax_import_410() function in all versions up to 2.6.0. This is due to a missing capability check (current_user_can()) and missing nonce verification (check_ajax_referer()) in the ajax_import_410() function, while all other AJAX handlers in the same class (ajax_add_single_410, ajax_save_editted_410, ajax_delete_410, ajax_bulk_410_delete, ajax_empty_410, ajax_export_410) properly implement both authorization and nonce checks. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to import arbitrary URLs into the 410 Gone database table via the surfl_import_410 AJAX action. Injected URLs will cause the site to return HTTP 410 Gone responses to all visitors accessing those paths, potentially causing denial of service for legitimate pages and SEO damage through search engine delisting.

Jul 10, 2026miniOrange Social Login and Register (Discord, Google, Twitter, LinkedIn): Authentication bypass leading to account takeoverCVE-2026-12761 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The miniOrange Social Login and Register (Discord, Google, Twitter, LinkedIn) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authentication bypass leading to account takeover in versions up to and including 7.7.0. This is due to the Profile Completion flow accepting an arbitrary email address via the 'email_field' POST parameter without verifying that the email belongs to the identity returned by the OAuth provider, combined with send_otp_token() returning the SHA-512(customer_key || otp) transaction hash to the client where the OTP space is only 99,000 values (wp_rand(1000, 99999)) and the customer_key is a static option (empty on unregistered installs). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to trigger an OTP email to an arbitrary admin's address, crack the OTP offline from the leaked hash in under a second, and submit the cracked OTP to mo_openid_social_login_validate_otp(), which logs the attacker in as the user whose email was supplied — granting full administrator access.

This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the ossdl_off_options() function. - What to do

May 27, 2026Google+ Link Name: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-8842 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4
The Google+ Link Name plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'gplusnamelink' shortcode in versions up to, and including, 1.0. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes ('id' and 'name') in the gplusnamelink_generate() function, which are concatenated directly into the rendered HTML without calling esc_attr() or esc_html(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

May 8, 2026Auto Affiliate Links: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-7330 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2
The Auto Affiliate Links plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting in versions up to, and including, 6.8.8 This is due to insufficient input sanitization on the 'url' POST parameter in the aal_url_stats_save_action() function and a complete absence of output escaping in aal_display_clicks(), where the stored value is echoed directly into an anchor element's href attribute and inner text without esc_url(), esc_attr(), or esc_html(). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into the admin statistics page that execute in an administrator's browser when the page is visited, leveraging a publicly exposed nonce and an unauthenticated AJAX endpoint registered via the wp_ajax_nopriv_ hook.
