Sep 23, 2026CyberPanel v1.9.1 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the compress method exposed through the /filemanager/controller endpoint.CVE-2026-79306 · Other software · reported by MITREMedium 6.5
CyberPanel v1.9.1 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the compress method exposed through the /filemanager/controller endpoint. An authenticated remote attacker with ownership of any configured domain can supply absolute or otherwise out-of-scope file paths in the listOfFiles JSON property, together with attacker-controlled basePath and compressedFileName values, in a method=compress request. Because the application validates only domain ownership and does not canonicalize or restrict these paths to the authorized site directory, the backend appends them to zip or tar archive commands and executes them as the website externalApp user, allowing disclosure of arbitrary readable files through the generated archive.

In MISP's UsersController login() method, the pre-authentication database query used for the TOTP (two-factor authentication) verification branch did not include the User.disabled column in its SELECT fields list. The query selected only User.password, User.totp, and User.hotp_counter. When the TOTP branch subsequently accessed $unauth_user['User']['disabled'], the key was absent from the result set, producing a PHP 'Undefined array key' warning and causing the expression to evaluate as null (falsy). As a result, the disabled-user guard in the TOTP branch was effectively a no-op: a disabled, TOTP-enrolled user could proceed to the TOTP verification step rather than being rejected at that point. The commit message explicitly states this was 'harmless in practice' because the subsequent identify() call re-validates the user and would still reject a disabled account. The practical security impact is therefore minimal, limited to a very small information-disclosure difference in the login response (a TOTP prompt is presented instead of an immediate rejection) and a PHP warning in application logs.

Sep 22, 2026In MISP, the OrganisationsController::__uploadLogo method processed a caller-supplied tmp_name value with filesystem probes (file_exists, MIME type detection, ECVE-2026-95703 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.1
In MISP, the OrganisationsController::__uploadLogo method processed a caller-supplied tmp_name value with filesystem probes (file_exists, MIME type detection, EXIF reading) before verifying that the value corresponded to a genuine PHP file upload via is_uploaded_file. An authenticated site-admin user could supply an arbitrary server file path as the tmp_name parameter. The application would then probe that path and return distinct validation error messages depending on whether the file existed and what its image type was, effectively creating a file-existence and image-type oracle against the server filesystem. The vulnerability requires site-admin privileges and does not allow arbitrary file read, code execution, or modification; the impact is limited to disclosure of whether a given path exists on the server and, for image files, their type.

Sep 22, 2026In MISP, the __statisticsOrgs method in UsersController.php used the organization name directly as a file-system path component when checking for the existence CVE-2026-95701 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.1
In MISP, the __statisticsOrgs method in UsersController.php used the organization name directly as a file-system path component when checking for the existence of an organization logo image. The original code called file_exists() with a path constructed as APP . 'webroot' . DS . 'img' . DS . 'orgs' . DS . $k . '.png', where $k is the organization name. Because the referenced directory (app/webroot/img/orgs) no longer exists in current MISP deployments (org logos were relocated to files/img/orgs), the check was functionally dead and never triggered. However, the underlying pattern—concatenating an attacker-influenced organization name into a file path without sanitization—constitutes a path traversal weakness. An organization name containing directory traversal sequences (e.g., '../../../../etc/passwd') would, if the target directory existed, allow an authenticated user with the ability to create or rename an organization to probe for the existence of arbitrary files on the server.

Sep 22, 2026The findOrgImage method in MISP's OrgImgHelper constructs a filesystem path by concatenating a user-supplied organization identifier with a fixed image directorCVE-2026-95698 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.3
The findOrgImage method in MISP's OrgImgHelper constructs a filesystem path by concatenating a user-supplied organization identifier with a fixed image directory and a file extension, then calls file_exists() on the resulting path. The organization name field is attacker-controllable through event import, which sets Org.name. Because no validation was performed on the field value before path construction, an organization name containing directory traversal sequences (e.g., ../../etc/passwd) would cause the path to resolve outside the intended org-image directory. This yields two security impacts: - an arbitrary file existence oracle, since file_exists() returns a boolean for any path the process can access. - an arbitrary file read limited to files with .png or .svg extensions, because the resolved filename is returned and subsequently rendered or served to the requesting user. The vulnerability requires an authenticated user with the ability to create or import events that set the organization name.

Sep 22, 2026MISP contains an authorization flaw in the Organisation model's captureOrg method.CVE-2026-95697 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.3
MISP contains an authorization flaw in the Organisation model's captureOrg method. When the $force parameter is set to true, the method unconditionally overwrites organization metadata fields without verifying that the invoking user holds sufficient privileges. A user with a sharing group (SG) editor role can trigger this code path, allowing them to modify organization metadata that should be restricted to site administrators or users with sync permissions. According to the commit message, this could lead to blueprint-based sharing group manipulation, meaning an attacker with SG editor access could alter organizational attributes in ways that influence how sharing groups and blueprints behave across the MISP instance. The vulnerability requires an authenticated user with at least SG editor privileges and network access to the MISP web interface. The impact is primarily on the integrity of organization records and, potentially, on the integrity of sharing group configurations derived from those records.

Sep 22, 2026In MISP, the EventReport::uploadPicture method in processed a caller-supplied tmp_name field by invoking file_exists(), mime_content_type(), and exif_imagetype(CVE-2026-95693 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.3
In MISP, the EventReport::uploadPicture method in processed a caller-supplied tmp_name field by invoking file_exists(), mime_content_type(), and exif_imagetype() on the supplied path before verifying that the value was a genuine PHP upload via is_uploaded_file(). An authenticated user holding the perm_add permission could supply an arbitrary filesystem path as the tmp_name value. The application would then probe that path and return distinct validation error messages depending on whether the file existed, its MIME type, or its image format. By observing the differing error responses, an attacker could enumerate the existence of files at arbitrary paths on the MISP server and determine their type. This constitutes an information disclosure vulnerability: the server's filesystem layout and file types are leaked to any user with the perm_add role without requiring administrative access. The vulnerability does not allow reading file contents, writing files, or executing code, but it can aid further attacks by revealing sensitive file locations (e.g., configuration files, private keys, or other artifacts) present on the host.

Sep 22, 2026In MISP, the queryEnrichment method in EventsController.php accepted a module name parameter and iterated over the list of enabled modules to find a match.CVE-2026-95674 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.3
In MISP, the queryEnrichment method in EventsController.php accepted a module name parameter and iterated over the list of enabled modules to find a match. If the specified module was not present in the enabled modules list, the code silently continued processing using default parameters (format set to 'simplified' and no module-specific configuration applied) rather than rejecting the request. This allowed an authenticated user to trigger enrichment or analysis processing through a module that was not explicitly enabled or available on the instance, bypassing the intended module availability controls. The lack of validation meant that module names outside the enabled set were not rejected, potentially exposing functionality or data processing paths that the administrator had not authorized for use.

In MISP, the CollectionsController add() method enforced the sharing-group usability authorization check and element capture only when the HTTP request method was POST. However, the underlying CRUDComponent::add() method persists data on both POST and PUT requests. As a result, an authenticated user could issue a PUT request to the collections/add endpoint, bypassing the sharing-group authorization check entirely. This allowed the creation of a collection with distribution=4 (shared with a specific sharing group) targeting a sharing group that the user was not authorized to use. The bypassed check would normally verify that the current user has access to the specified sharing group before allowing the collection to be associated with it. The security impact is that an authenticated user can place collection data into a sharing group context they do not have legitimate access to, potentially exposing that data to all members of the unauthorized sharing group and violating the intended access-control boundaries of the MISP instance. The vulnerability requires an authenticated session and knowledge of a valid sharing group identifier; no user interaction or special tooling is needed

Sep 21, 2026The login() function in MISP's UsersController.php contained insufficient HTTP method validation for several security-critical code paths.CVE-2026-94379 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 6.9
The login() function in MISP's UsersController.php contained insufficient HTTP method validation for several security-critical code paths. The original code used an allowlist approach, checking only for specific HTTP methods (POST and PUT) before enforcing bruteforce protection, email one-time-password (OTP) verification, and login-failure logging. Because the checks were not exhaustive, an unauthenticated attacker could issue login requests using other HTTP methods and bypass all three security controls simultaneously. Specifically: - the bruteforce blocklisting check and attempt counter were skipped, allowing unlimited credential-guessing attempts without being rate-limited or blocked - the email OTP two-factor authentication step was skipped, defeating the second factor of authentication - login-failure events were neither logged nor counted, removing the audit trail and the mechanism that would normally trigger a blocklist entry. The security impact is the effective disabling of brute-force protection and multi-factor authentication for any attacker who can craft an HTTP request with a non-POST/PUT method to the login endpoint, potentially leading to credential compro

Sep 21, 2026MISP contains an insecure direct object reference vulnerability in the processModuleResultsData method of the Event model.CVE-2026-94374 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 8.3
MISP contains an insecure direct object reference vulnerability in the processModuleResultsData method of the Event model. When processing module results, the code iterates over EventReport entries supplied in the resolved data and saves each one. Unlike the adjacent attribute and object processing loops, the report loop did not unset the client-supplied 'id' field before calling save(). Because the MISP EventReport model's create() method does not strip the id field, an authenticated user with permission to submit module results could include an 'id' value referencing an existing report belonging to a different event. Upon save(), the ORM would update that existing row rather than insert a new one, allowing the attacker to - read the content of another event's report by reparenting it into their own event - overwrite the report's fields with attacker-controlled data - change the report's event_id to redirect ownership. This constitutes an authorization bypass through a user-controlled key, enabling cross-event data disclosure and integrity compromise. The vulnerability requires an authenticated session with the ability to invoke module result processing on an event. Ver

In Vinyl Cache before 9.0,2, workspace buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the .upper() and .lower() string type methods of VCL. This can be used as a remote denial of service (DoS) vector to make the child process segfault or assert, and then restart. Effectively exploiting this vulnerability requires prior knowledge about the VCL in use and the ability to craft a request that contains a string that is long enough to fill the remaining workspace at the call site while staying under the different request size limits (http_req_size, http_req_hdr_len, etc.).

In the MISP sachertortephp library, the Xml::build() static method in lib/Cake/Utility/Xml.php contains a logic error in the conditional that gates network-based XML fetching. The original condition was written as: $options['readFile'] && strpos($input, 'http://') === 0 || strpos($input, 'https://') === 0. Because PHP's && operator has higher precedence than ||, the expression is evaluated as ($options['readFile'] && strpos($input, 'http://') === 0) || strpos($input, 'https://') === 0. As a result, when a caller explicitly sets the readFile option to false to disable file and URL reading, an input string beginning with https:// still satisfies the condition and triggers a network fetch via HttpSocket (configured to follow up to 10 redirects). The http:// branch is correctly gated by the readFile flag, but the https:// branch is not. An attacker who can influence the $input parameter passed to Xml::build() can therefore force the application to issue an outbound HTTPS request to an attacker-controlled or internal URL, even though the caller intended to suppress all remote reads. The fetched response is parsed as XML and may be returned to the caller, enabling information disclosure

Apache NiFi 2.11.0 supports migrating the contents of a version-controlled Process Group into a Connector using REST API methods that list eligible migration sources and submit migration requests. The framework authorized both methods against the target Connector alone, without evaluating access to the Process Groups involved. The absence of Process Group authorization allowed an authenticated user with read access to a Connector to enumerate the identifiers, names, and flow registry details of version-controlled Process Groups outside the scope of granted read policies. It also allowed a user with write access to a Connector to migrate a Process Group without write access to that Process Group, copying the flow definition, referenced assets, and component state into the Connector, and leaving the source Process Group disabled and renamed. Migration excludes sensitive property values and requires the source Process Group to be stopped with empty queues, which limits the scope of exposure. Apache NiFi installations that do not implement component-level authorization policies for Process Groups are not subject to this vulnerability, because the framework enforces Connector write perm

Apache NiFi 1.5.0 through 2.11.0 provide REST API methods that replace the entire contents of a Process Group using a client-supplied flow definition, covering Process Group flow replacement together with versioned flow update and rebase operations. Framework authorization for these methods was limited to read and write privileges on the Process Group itself, unlike the corresponding asynchronous update request methods, which also authorize the components encapsulated in the Process Group along with referenced Controller Services, Parameter Contexts, and Parameter Providers. As a result of the missing authorization, an authenticated user with write access to a Process Group could supply a flow definition that modifies or removes components in descendant Process Groups protected by more restrictive access policies, and could bind components to Controller Services and Parameter Contexts without authorization for those referenced components. Existing verification checks limited the impact to stopped components, and the issue applies only to deployments that use component-level authorization policies, because the framework enforces write permissions as the security boundary. Apache NiFi 2.9.0 through 2.11.0 provide Connector configuration update and verification REST API methods that do not enforce authorization checking on Assets and Secrets referenced in proposed configuration. Updating or verifying a Connector configuration step can apply Asset and Secret references, but framework authorization was limited to write privileges on the Connector itself. As a result of the missing authorization, an authenticated user authorized to modify a Connector, but not authorized to read a referenced Parameter Provider, could apply Secret values backed by that Parameter Provider. The same methods also accepted Asset identifiers without verifying that the Asset belonged to the Connector being configured. Apache NiFi installations that do not implement different levels of authorization across Connectors and Parameter Providers are not subject to this vulnerability, because the framework enforces write permissions on the Connector as the security boundary. Upgrading to Apache NiFi 2.12.0 is the recommended mitigation, which authorizes read access to referenced Parameter Providers and verifies Connector ownership of referenced Assets during configuration update and ve

Sep 15, 2026Affected versions of MISP rely on CakePHP request-method override processing in a way that can disable CSRF and form-security validation.CVE-2026-91819 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 6.9
Affected versions of MISP rely on CakePHP request-method override processing in a way that can disable CSRF and form-security validation. CakePHP honors a _method field or X-HTTP-Method-Override header by rewriting the effective request method. For override values outside the normal write verbs POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE, CakePHP also clears the parsed request body. MISP’s security component then determines whether to perform _validatePost() and _validateCsrf() based on whether request data remains. With a value such as: _method=GET the body becomes empty before those checks run, so both protections are skipped. A cross-site form containing only that override can therefore reach actions whose parameters are taken from the URL rather than the request body Version affected: ≤2.5.45

Sep 11, 2026Concrete CMS Area API's block-create endpoint in versions 9.2.0 to 9.5.2 did not invoke the block type controller's validate() method on submitted data, which, CVE-2026-68535 · Other software · Concrete CMS · reported by ff5b8ace-8b95-4078-9743-eac1ca5451deMedium 5.1
Concrete CMS Area API's block-create endpoint in versions 9.2.0 to 9.5.2 did not invoke the block type controller's validate() method on submitted data, which, for file-referencing blocks such as hero_image and gallery, is where the referenced file is authorized against the user's file-manager visibility. As a result, an authenticated user holding the block-add scope could store, and cause the page to render, a reference to a file that the file-manager authorization policy would otherwise reject, disclosing that file's URL and preview to the editor and to visitors of the affected page. Under public file storage, the URL and thumbnail are exposed directly; under private storage, the disclosure is limited by the permission-checked download URL. The Concrete CMS security team gave this vulnerability a CVSS v4.0 score of 5.1 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N. Thanks riodrwn for reporting.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/uverbs: Add UVERBS_ATTR_UHW to UVERBS_METHOD_REG_MR The original commit missed that three drivers (mthca, irdma, siw) have UHW data associated with reg_mr that cannot be passed through the ioctl. They also assume that the udata cannot be NULL, so failing to pass a valid udata can trigger a NULL udata crash in those drivers. This never happens in real systems since in rdma-core ibv_cmd_reg_mr_ex() does not accept a udata and those three drivers don't use it, however a malicious userspace could trigger it.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/uverbs: Guard legacy bundles without method_elm The legacy write() path dispatches through a uverbs_api_write_method, but the uverbs_attr_bundle passed to provider code does not have an ioctl method element. If malformed provider input causes the common uverbs validation code to emit an error message, uverbs_get_handler_fn() dereferences the uninitialized method_elm pointer. Initialize method_elm explicitly for legacy bundles and make uverbs_get_handler_fn() return NULL when no ioctl method is present. The legacy dispatcher continues to use its local write method, while the ioctl path continues to use the registered ioctl handler.

HTML::FormHandler versions before 0.410002 for Perl render field attributes into HTML without escaping using the process_attrs method. Any application with fields or field labels where some attributes are built from data rather than literals allows attacker-influenced text in an attribute value that can override the field attributes or embed JavaScript in rendered pages. For example, the RadioGroup widget uses the process_attrs method via the render_option and wrap_radio methods.
