Jul 29, 2026Advanced Responsive Video Embedder for Rumble, Odysee, YouTube, Vimeo, Kick …: Authentication BypassCVE-2026-18072 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The Advanced Responsive Video Embedder for Rumble, Odysee, YouTube, Vimeo, Kick … plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass via a Hardcoded Backdoor in version 10.8.7. The vulnerability exists because the `_arve_uc_init()` function — registered on WordPress's `init` hook at priority 1 so that it runs before any authentication checks on every request — reads an attacker-supplied token from the `_wplogin` (or `_wpm`) parameter and compares it against a hardcoded SHA-256 hash embedded directly in the plugin source, with no nonce verification, no capability check, and no password validation anywhere in the flow. Because this static hash constitutes a set of universal credentials that are publicly accessible in the plugin's source code, unauthenticated attackers can supply the known token to be authenticated as an arbitrarily selected existing administrator account, gaining full administrative control over the affected WordPress site. This was likely introduced by an attacker who gained commit access to the developers account.

May 27, 2026LiteSpeed Cache: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-3375 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

These endpoints accept CSS content from QUIC.cloud callback notifications and store it to disk without sanitization. The stored content is later rendered inline frontend page loads without output escaping. The access control protecting these endpoints is IP-based validation that can potentially be bypassed when the WordPress site is deployed behind a reverse proxy, load balancer, or CDN with certain configurations. May 22, 2026Ditty – Responsive News Tickers, Sliders, and Lists: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-9011 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.5
The Ditty – Responsive News Tickers, Sliders, and Lists plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 3.1.65. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to retrieve the full item content of non-public Dittys — including drafts, pending, scheduled, and disabled entries — by enumerating integer post IDs against the ditty_init AJAX endpoint. Unlike the non-AJAX init() counterpart, init_ajax() does not verify that the requested Ditty has a 'publish' post status before loading and returning its items, allowing content that administrators explicitly withheld from public view to be extracted.
