  • Aug 23, 2026A vulnerability was found in TanStack devtools-vite 0.7.0.CVE-2026-78177 · Other software · TanStack · reported by VulDBLow 1.1

    A vulnerability was found in TanStack devtools-vite 0.7.0. Affected by this issue is the function installPackage of the file packages/devtools-bundler-core/src/package-manager.ts of the component Development Devtools Event Bus. The manipulation of the argument packageName results in os command injection. Attacking locally is a requirement. A high complexity level is associated with this attack. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.

  • Aug 11, 2026Nuxt versions >= 4.4.7 and < 4.5.1, and >= 3.21.7 and < 3.21.10, contain an information disclosure vulnerability in the development server's Chrome DevTools worCVE-2026-72744 · Other software · nuxt · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9

    Nuxt versions >= 4.4.7 and < 4.5.1, and >= 3.21.7 and < 3.21.10, contain an information disclosure vulnerability in the development server's Chrome DevTools workspace endpoint (GET /.well-known/appspecific/com.chrome.devtools.json). The endpoint's local-request gate (isLocalDevRequest) is header-based and trusts the attacker-supplied Host header rather than the connected peer address. When the dev server is bound to a network-reachable interface (e.g. nuxt dev --host) and experimental.chromeDevtoolsProjectSettings is enabled (the default), an unauthenticated attacker on the LAN can send a request with a spoofed Host header and no browser-specific headers (Sec-Fetch-Site, Origin, Referer) to retrieve the project's absolute filesystem root path (rootDir) and a persistent per-project workspace UUID. Production builds are unaffected. Fixed in 4.5.1 and 3.21.10.

  • Aug 5, 2026Nuxt is an open-source web development framework for Vue.js.CVE-2026-71319 · Other software · nuxt · reported by GitHubCritical 9.6

    Nuxt is an open-source web development framework for Vue.js. Prior to 3.3.1, Nuxt DevTools (development mode only) exposes a bidirectional RPC channel over the Vite HMR WebSocket via the nuxt:devtools:rpc plugin. On affected versions the channel has no authentication: any client that can reach the Vite HMR endpoint (ws://<host>:<port>/, subprotocol vite-hmr) can call RPC methods, with no token, handshake, or origin check before the channel is established. The updateOptions(), clearOptions(), and openInEditor() methods do not enforce the ensureDevAuthToken check that the other mutating methods use. openInEditor() reads the persisted behavior.openInEditor value and passes it to the launch-editor package, which spawns it as a child process. That value is settable through the equally unauthenticated updateOptions(). An attacker who can reach the HMR port can therefore chain updateOptions('behavior', { openInEditor: '<command>' }) then openInEditor('<any-existing-file>') to execute an arbitrary program on the developer's machine. This issue is fixed in 3.3.1.

  • Jul 30, 2026Spring Tools for Eclipse stores the Spring Boot DevTools remote secret (spring.devtools.remote.secret) as a plain string attribute on the "Spring Boot DevTools CVE-2026-59327 · Other software · Spring · reported by security@vmware.comMedium 4.4

    Spring Tools for Eclipse stores the Spring Boot DevTools remote secret (spring.devtools.remote.secret) as a plain string attribute on the "Spring Boot DevTools Client" launch configuration. Eclipse persists launch configuration attributes as cleartext XML, either to workspace metadata or, if the user marks the configuration as a shared file, directly into the project tree where it can be committed to version control. This secret is the sole credential protecting the DevTools remote restart/reload endpoint, which accepts and executes arbitrary class bytes on the target application. Anyone able to read the .launch file (via filesystem access, a workspace backup, or a shared VCS repository) can extract the secret and use it to achieve remote code execution against the associated Spring Boot application. When enabling Spring Boot DevTools support for a remote application target (for example a Docker container or Cloud Foundry app) from the Spring Tools Boot Dashboard, Spring Tools generates a shared secret that authenticates DevTools remote-restart uploads to the deployed application. This secret was generated using a non-cryptographic pseudo-random number generator rather than a cryptographically secure source of randomness. • Jun 24, 2026Chrome DevTools for agents (chrome-devtools-mcp) lets your coding agent control and inspect a live Chrome browser.CVE-2026-53766 · Other software · ChromeDevTools · reported by GitHubMedium 6.1

    Chrome DevTools for agents (chrome-devtools-mcp) lets your coding agent control and inspect a live Chrome browser. From 0.24.0 until 1.1.0, McpContext.validatePath() enforces workspace roots by checking whether path.resolve(filePath) textually falls under one of the configured root paths. path.resolve() does not canonicalize symbolic links. As a result, a symlink inside a configured workspace root can point to a file outside that root, pass validation, and then be followed by downstream file read/write operations. This bypass applies even when the MCP client correctly declares the roots capability with a non-empty list. It is separate from the documented legacy behavior where missing roots capability allows all paths. The practical impact is a workspace-boundary bypass. In the write direction, filePath-writing tools can overwrite out-of-root files through an in-root symlink. In the read direction, upload_file can read through the symlink and send the file to the currently selected web page. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.1.0.

  • Jun 24, 2026Chrome DevTools for agents (chrome-devtools-mcp) lets your coding agent control and inspect a live Chrome browser.CVE-2026-53765 · Other software · ChromeDevTools · reported by GitHubMedium 6.1

    Chrome DevTools for agents (chrome-devtools-mcp) lets your coding agent control and inspect a live Chrome browser. From 0.20.0 until 1.1.0, The chrome-devtools-mcp daemon writes its PID file with fs.writeFileSync() to a deterministic runtime path. On typical macOS environments, and on Linux sessions where $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR is unset, that runtime path falls back to /tmp/chrome-devtools-mcp-<uid>/daemon.pid. Because the write does not use O_NOFOLLOW, a local low-privilege user on the same POSIX host can pre-create /tmp/chrome-devtools-mcp-<victim_uid>/daemon.pid as a symlink to a file writable by the victim. When the victim later starts daemon mode, fs.writeFileSync() follows the symlink and truncates the target file to the daemon PID string. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.1.0.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
