Sep 22, 2026LibreOffice converts CFF fonts to Type 1 when it subsets a font, which happens when a document is exported to PDF, and CFF fonts may be embedded in documents.CVE-2026-63276 · Other software · The Document Foundation · reported by security@documentfoundation.orgMedium 5.4
LibreOffice converts CFF fonts to Type 1 when it subsets a font, which happens when a document is exported to PDF, and CFF fonts may be embedded in documents. A stack buffer overflow existed in that conversion. The converted operators were written into a fixed size buffer with no check that they still fit, so a glyph emitting many operators wrote past the end of the buffer. In fixed versions the remaining capacity is tracked and the conversion stops when it is used up.

In Eclipse iceoryx2 versions greater than v0.8.0, the StaticString exposes its contents as mutable bytes through safe APIs, while String::as_str() converts those bytes into a Rust string slice without validating UTF-8. An application can therefore create an invalid &str and trigger undefined behavior using entirely safe Rust.

Sep 18, 2026XWiki Rendering is a generic rendering system that converts textual input in a given syntax (wiki syntax, HTML, etc) into another syntax (XHTML, etc).CVE-2025-53837 · Other software · xwiki · reported by GitHubCritical 9.9
XWiki Rendering is a generic rendering system that converts textual input in a given syntax (wiki syntax, HTML, etc) into another syntax (XHTML, etc). Prior to versions 14.10.2 and 15.0 RC1, any user who can edit their own user profile or any other document can execute arbitrary script macros including Groovy and Python macros that allow remote code execution including unrestricted read and write access to all wiki contents. The reason is that rendering output is included as content of HTML macros without further escaping and it is thus possible to close the HTML macro and inject script macros that are executed with programming rights. This has been patched in XWiki 14.10.2 and 15.0 RC1 by making sure that rendering output cannot close the surrounding HTML macro. A possible workaround is available. It is, in principle, possible to add escaping to all places where rendering output is used in wiki documents, but at the moment there is no list of them.

Sep 18, 2026ShortPixel Image Optimizer – Optimize Images, Convert WebP & AVIF: PHP Object InjectionCVE-2026-17086 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The ShortPixel Image Optimizer – Optimize Images, Convert WebP & AVIF plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in all versions up to, and including, 6.5.5 via deserialization of untrusted input . This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to inject a PHP Object. No known POP chain is present in the vulnerable software, which means this vulnerability has no impact unless another plugin or theme containing a POP chain is installed on the site. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it may allow the attacker to perform actions like delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code depending on the POP chain present.

Sep 17, 2026`fulgur` converts untrusted HTML/CSS into PDF, commonly on a server that processes input supplied by many tenants.CVE-2026-68537 · Other software · fulgur-rs · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
`fulgur` converts untrusted HTML/CSS into PDF, commonly on a server that processes input supplied by many tenants. In versions prior to 0.19.0, a body-direct child whose CSS-resolved height greatly exceeds the page height was sliced into one fragment per page with no upper bound. This is fixed in version 0.19.0. A `MAX_PAGES` cap bounds the slice loop — halting it even for a `+inf` height — and non-finite layout heights are sanitized so they can no longer drive the loop. As a workaround, validate or constrain untrusted CSS (in particular `height` / `vh` on body-level elements) before passing HTML to fulgur.

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stmmac: restore NET_IP_ALIGN in the RX DMA offset Since the RX path was converted to CVE-2026-90059 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stmmac: restore NET_IP_ALIGN in the RX DMA offset Since the RX path was converted to zero-copy, the page pool page is handed to the stack directly as the skb head, and the offset the DMA engine writes at is what determines the alignment of the packet headers. Before the conversion the payload was copied into an skb obtained from napi_alloc_skb(), which reserves NET_SKB_PAD + NET_IP_ALIGN. The conversion moved the headroom into stmmac_rx_offset() but did not carry over NET_IP_ALIGN, so on architectures where NET_IP_ALIGN is 2 the IP header now lands misaligned: 64 (NET_SKB_PAD) + 14 (ethernet) + 20 (IP) = 98 Same for the XDP branch: 256 (XDP_PACKET_HEADROOM) + 14 (ethernet) + 20 (IP) = 290 On ARM32 this is fatal, because ldm and ldrd trap on unaligned addresses even when CONFIG_HAVE_EFFICIENT_UNALIGNED_ACCESS is set. Any received echo request panics the machine, e.g: Unhandled fault: alignment exception (0x001) at 0x81873062 Internal error: : 1 [#1] SMP ARM Hardware name: Altera SOCFPGA Arria10 PC is at icmp_echo+0x38/0xa8 LR is at icmp_rcv+0x22c/0x370 Call trace: icmp_echo from icmp

Sep 15, 2026Converting crafted EUC_JISX0213 input to UCS-4 or the internal wide character encoding, for example with iconv, in the GNU C Library version 2.3 to 2.44 may resCVE-2026-80489 · Other software · The GNU C Library · reported by 3ff69d7a-14f2-4f67-a097-88dee7810d18Medium 5.9
Converting crafted EUC_JISX0213 input to UCS-4 or the internal wide character encoding, for example with iconv, in the GNU C Library version 2.3 to 2.44 may result in the converter making no progress, causing the calling application to hang. Some EUC_JISX0213 sequences decode to two code points. If the output buffer has room for only the first one, the converter stores the second in the conversion state and returns E2BIG, but it never clears that pending character after emitting it on the next call. The converter then keeps emitting the pending character without consuming further input, so an application that retries the conversion loops forever. The input must be attacker controlled and the application must convert it with an output buffer small enough to split the two code points. Only the EUC_JISX0213 character set is affected, which is not commonly used. The related defect in SHIFT_JISX0213 converter is tracked separately as CVE-2026-77117.

Sep 14, 2026flat-to-nested converts a hierarchy from a flat representation to a nested representation.CVE-2026-55091 · Other software · joaonuno · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
flat-to-nested converts a hierarchy from a flat representation to a nested representation. Prior to 1.1.2, FlatToNested.prototype.convert in index.js uses attacker-influenced id and parent record fields directly as keys in the plain temp and pendingChildOf objects. When parent or id is __proto__, temp[parent] can resolve to Object.prototype, and initPush() can write attacker-controlled data to the global children prototype property while existing prototype methods remain intact. Any application that passes attacker-influenced flat records to convert() can therefore expose unrelated objects to polluted inherited state, causing application-logic corruption or denial of service and potentially enabling greater impact when a downstream prototype-pollution gadget is present. The constructor and prototype strings are also unsafe inherited-key values in the same lookup design. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.2.

Sep 14, 2026gettext-converter provides gettext resource conversion utilities for JavaScript.CVE-2026-55451 · Other software · locize · reported by GitHubHigh 8.3
gettext-converter provides gettext resource conversion utilities for JavaScript. Prior to 1.3.3, js2i18next() in lib/js2i18next.js splits nested translation keys using options.keyseparator, whose default value consists of two number signs, and uses each segment as a dynamic object key without rejecting __proto__, constructor, or prototype. When an application converts untrusted PO or i18next translation data, a __proto__ segment resolves Object.prototype as the nested write target and Object.assign writes attacker-controlled translated properties onto the process-wide prototype. The resulting prototype pollution can cause denial of service and may enable application-dependent follow-on attacks. This issue is fixed in version 1.3.3.

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: reject out-of-range useconds in NFSv2 SETATTR/CREATE The NFSv2 sattr decoder convertCVE-2026-89665 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.2
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: reject out-of-range useconds in NFSv2 SETATTR/CREATE The NFSv2 sattr decoder converts the wire useconds to nanoseconds in svcxdr_decode_sattr(): iap->ia_atime.tv_nsec = tmp2 * NSEC_PER_USEC; tmp2 is a u32 and NSEC_PER_USEC is 1000, so the product is computed in unsigned long. On ILP32 that is 32 bits, and an out-of-range useconds value such as 4294968 wraps to tv_nsec == 704. The corruption therefore happens during decode, before any proc function can inspect the value, and a later range check on tv_nsec would see an in-range result and accept it. Rejecting in the decoder yields an RPC GARBAGE_ARGS reply. NFSv2 defines no NFSERR_INVAL, so there is no NFS-level status to return for a malformed time argument, and the check cannot move to the proc function the way the v3/v4 nsec range checks do. Guard the raw useconds before the multiplication and reject values greater than 1000000. useconds == 1000000 is kept: it is the Sun convention for "set to the current server time", and the in-tree Linux NFSv2 client emits it in both the atime and the mtime field for a plain touch / utimes(file, NULL) (see encode_sa

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xdp: fix zero-copy frame layout xdp_convert_zc_to_xdp_frame() clones an XSK packet into an order-0 page and advertises PAGE_SIZE as its frame size. It allows the copied frame to occupy the page tail needed by skb_shared_info and records zero headroom even when metadata separates the frame header from packet data. An AF_XDP zero-copy packet redirected through cpumap can therefore make the skb overlap skb_shared_info or place it beyond the allocated page. Limit the copied layout to SKB_WITH_OVERHEAD(PAGE_SIZE) and include the metadata length in frame headroom. Redirect callers already handle a NULL conversion result. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: veth: convert frag_list skbs before running XDP A frag_list skb can reach veth with data_len set but nr_frags zero. veth_convert_skb_to_xdp_buff() only converts skbs that are shared, locked, have frags[], or do not have enough headroom. It later uses skb_is_nonlinear() to decide whether to set XDP_FLAGS_HAS_FRAGS and xdp_frags_size. That exposes frag_list data to XDP as if it were stored in frags[], but frags[] is empty. AF_XDP copy mode can then trust the bogus XDP fragment metadata, walk an empty fragment entry, and crash in memcpy() from __xsk_rcv(). Route non-linear skbs through skb_pp_cow_data() before exposing them to XDP, and only advertise XDP frags when the resulting skb has frags[]. skb_copy_bits() already handles frag_list input, and skb_pp_cow_data() builds frags[] output with skb_add_rx_frag(), which is the representation XDP multi-buffer expects.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: dsa: sja1105: round up PTP perout pin duration pin_duration is converted from the user-provided period to SJA1105 clock ticks and is later passed as the cycle_time argument to future_base_time(). Very small period values may become zero after the conversion, which can lead to a division by zero in future_base_time(). Round zero pin_duration up to 1 tick so that the smallest unsupported periods use the minimum non-zero hardware duration instead of passing zero to future_base_time().

rsync before 3.5.0 contains a privilege confusion vulnerability in the name-converter subprocess uid/gid mapping that allows local attackers to cause transferred files to be owned by root by influencing name-converter responses to return empty values. When the name-converter subprocess returns an empty response for a uid or gid lookup, rsync incorrectly interprets it as a successful resolution to uid/gid 0 (root) rather than a lookup failure, and if the name-converter also signals fake super-user status, rsync proceeds with root ownership assignments for transferred files.

CTI-Transmute is affected by a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the conversion graph used to visualise converted MISP and STIX content. Attacker-controlled values originating from converted CTI data were passed to multiple HTML-parsing sinks in the graph user interface without sufficient neutralisation. In particular, node labels, node sublabels, edge labels, node properties, edge properties, and node types could contain crafted HTML or JavaScript content. The Pivotick graph library renders some of these values through HTML-parsing operations. Consequently, a malicious value such as an HTML element containing an event handler could be interpreted as markup rather than displayed as plain text. The first remediation explicitly notes that Pivotick rendered node and edge labels as HTML and therefore introduced escaping before data was handed to the graph renderer. A separate vulnerable sink was present in the Open raw JSON functionality. The raw object associated with a graph node was inserted into a new document using document.write() and an interpolated HTML string. Crafted JSON content could therefore break out of the intended <pre> element and inject executable

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: convert pmsr_free_wk to wiphy_work to fix deadlock When a netlink socket that owns a PMSR session is closed, cfg80211_release_pmsr() clears the request's nl_portid and queues pmsr_free_wk to call cfg80211_pmsr_process_abort() asynchronously. If the interface tears down concurrently, cfg80211_pmsr_wdev_down() is called under wiphy_lock and calls cancel_work_sync(&pmsr_free_wk) to wait for any running work. The work function acquires wiphy_lock via guard(wiphy) before calling process_abort. This is a deadlock: wdev_down holds wiphy_lock and blocks inside cancel_work_sync(); pmsr_free_wk blocks trying to acquire that same wiphy_lock. Neither thread can proceed. The same deadlock is reachable from cfg80211_leave_locked(), which calls cfg80211_pmsr_wdev_down() for all interface types under wiphy_lock. Fix this by converting pmsr_free_wk from a plain work_struct to a wiphy_work. The wiphy_work dispatcher holds wiphy_lock when running work items, so the explicit guard(wiphy) in the work function is no longer needed. wiphy_work_cancel() can be called safely while holding wiphy_lock - since wiphy_lock

Jul 28, 2026Dompdf is an HTML to PDF converter for PHP.CVE-2026-59943 · Other software · dompdf · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
Dompdf is an HTML to PDF converter for PHP. In versions 3.15 and prior, if a malicious actor can supply unrestricted content for rendering by Dompdf they can utilize the SVG rendering functionality to leak filesystem information when rendering PDF files using image references within a data-URI encoded SVG document. Using an <image> element inside a data-URI embedded SVG, an attacker can attempt to embed other files via the href or xlink:href attributes. When processing a file that does not exist (e.g. file:///DOESNOTEXIST), dompdf behaves differently than it does when accessing a file or directory that actually exists on the filesystem. This issue has been fixed in version 3.16.

Jul 28, 2026Dompdf is an HTML to PDF converter for PHP.CVE-2026-59942 · Other software · dompdf · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
Dompdf is an HTML to PDF converter for PHP. Versions 3.15 and prior are vulnerable to a Denial of Service (DoS) attack via resource exhaustion. An attacker can crash the PHP process by providing a specially crafted HTML document containing a single image with massive dimensions (e.g., 30,000x30,000 pixels). While Dompdf implements internal checks to validate image dimensions, these can be bypassed by using a high-entropy image (such as random noise) encoded in Base64 and wrapped in specific CSS containers. The vulnerability exists because the dimension validation happens early, but the resource allocation for calculating the object's bounding box and internal buffers during the rendering phase does not strictly limit the cumulative CPU time or memory usage for a single object that has passed the initial check. An unauthenticated remote attacker can cause a complete Denial of Service on the web server by submitting a crafted HTML string. This affects any application that allows users to provide HTML content or URLs that are subsequently converted to PDF using Dompdf. This issue has been fixed in version 3.16.

Jul 28, 2026Dompdf is an HTML to PDF converter for PHP.CVE-2026-59941 · Other software · dompdf · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
Dompdf is an HTML to PDF converter for PHP. Versions 3.15 and prior accept a BMP image and generates a PDF-compatible PNG based only on its declared header dimensions and never bounds width × height before the image is converted through GD. A 58-byte BMP whose header declares e.g. 6000×6000 is accepted and later drives imagecreatetruecolor($width, $height) (and PHP's native BMP decoder) to allocate the full pixel canvas. A payload can fit in a single HTTP request: the BMP can be inlined as a data:image/bmp;base64,… URI inside attacker-controlled HTML, so no upload, no remote fetch, and no chroot-reachable file is required. I measured a 169-byte request driving a dompdf render to ~412 MB peak RSS and ~4.8 s of CPU/wall time, versus ~34 MB for an identically-sized benign request — roughly a 12× memory amplification per request, repeatable and unauthenticated. This issue has been fixed in version 3.16.

Jul 28, 2026Dompdf is an HTML to PDF converter for PHP.CVE-2026-56722 · Other software · dompdf · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
Dompdf is an HTML to PDF converter for PHP. In versions 3.15 and prior, aAn attacker who controls the HTML input can bypass this restriction by embedding a target file path inside an SVG image delivered through a data: URI, because dompdf processes the SVG twice and the second pass does not enforce the same protections as the first. When rendering, dompdf hands the SVG to the separate php-svg-lib library with external references forced on, and that library has no knowledge of the chroot directory, blocks only the phar:// scheme, and ultimately reads the referenced file with no path or protocol validation. This lets an external, unauthenticated attacker read arbitrary image files from the server's file system in the default configuration. This issue has been fixed in version 3.16.

Jul 28, 2026Dompdf is an HTML to PDF converter for PHP.CVE-2026-55555 · Other software · dompdf · reported by GitHubLow 2.3
Dompdf is an HTML to PDF converter for PHP. Versions 3.15 and prior are vulnerable to a File Existence Oracle attack through the manipulation of the CSS @font-face directive. By providing malicious HTML that references local files via the file:// protocol repeatedly, an attacker can trigger PHP memory exhaustion. Because Dompdf behaves differently depending on whether a referenced local file exists (an existing file is processed repeatedly until it triggers an "Allowed memory size exhausted" crash, whereas a missing file fails fast or is ignored and never hits the memory limit), an attacker can use this observable discrepancy as an oracle to enumerate sensitive files on the server regardless of CHROOT restrictions. Exploitation requires the attacker to supply unrestricted or unsanitized HTML in a request that permits large data, plus a configuration where Dompdf's memory limit is low enough to be exhausted (with $_dompdf_show_warnings=true making the overflow easier to reach). This issue has been fixed in version 3.16.

Jul 28, 2026Dompdf is an HTML to PDF converter for PHP.CVE-2026-55554 · Other software · dompdf · reported by GitHubLow 2.3
Dompdf is an HTML to PDF converter for PHP. In versions 3.15 and prior, the validateLocalUri() method enforces chroot boundaries with a strpos() prefix check after normalizing paths with realpath() . Because normalization strips the trailing directory separator from $chrootPath , the check only verifies that $chrootPath is a string prefix of $realfile, so a chroot of /var/www also matches sibling directories like /var/www2 , /var/www-admin, or /var/www_backup. An attacker who controls part of the rendered HTML could exploit this to escape the chroot and read sensitive files outside the allowed directory. This issue has been fixed in version 3.16.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: validate lcns_follow in log_replay conversion log_replay() converts DIR_PAGE_ENTRY_32 records into DIR_PAGE_ENTRY records when replaying version 0 restart tables. During this conversion, the memmove() length is derived directly from the on-disk lcns_follow field: memmove(&dp->vcn, &dp0->vcn_low, 2 * sizeof(u64) + le32_to_cpu(dp->lcns_follow) * sizeof(u64)); check_rstbl() validates restart table structure, but does not constrain per-entry lcns_follow values relative to the entry size. A malformed filesystem image can provide an oversized lcns_follow value, causing the conversion memmove() to access memory beyond the bounds of the allocated restart table buffer. The same field is later used to bound iteration over page_lcns[], so validating lcns_follow during conversion also prevents downstream out-of-bounds access from the same malformed metadata. Compute the maximum valid lcns_follow from the already-validated restart table entry size and reject entries that exceed this bound. Reuse the existing t16/t32 scratch variables already declared in log_replay() to avoid introducing new declarations.
