Unverified ownership of the default query result location in the Athena module in AWS SDK for pandas (awswrangler) before 3.16.1 might allow remote actors to read Athena query results and tamper with result sets returned to the caller via a pre-created S3 bucket.  To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 3.16.1 or later. Users should also verify that the default Athena result bucket in each account and region is owned by their own account, and set an explicit result location or enforce a workgroup result configuration.

  • Oct 28, 2026FOG is a free open-source cloning/imaging/rescue suite/inventory management system.CVE-2026-116778 · Other software · FOGProject · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

FOG is a free open-source cloning/imaging/rescue suite/inventory management system. Prior to 1.5.10.2253 and 1.6.0-RC-1, an authenticated API-enabled user with uType=1 who possesses both the user's API token and the global FOG API token can use PUT /fog/storagenode/{id}/edit to modify Storage Node user, pass, and ftppath fields because the API validates the credentials but does not enforce an administrator-only role. With storage replication enabled and a usable Storage Node, FOGImageReplicator interpolates those fields into an lftp command executed through proc_open() by the root-running service, allowing the low-privileged user to execute commands as root. This issue is fixed in versions 1.5.10.2253 and 1.6.0-RC-1.

  • Oct 28, 2026USB Test is a lightweight Windows CLI utility for verifying sector integrity and detecting overreported capacity on USB flash drives.CVE-2026-116776 · Other software · n-romanovich · reported by GitHubHigh 7

USB Test is a lightweight Windows CLI utility for verifying sector integrity and detecting overreported capacity on USB flash drives. Prior to version 1.1.5, getSectorSize() in USB Test/src/driveinfo.cpp trusts DISK_GEOMETRY.BytesPerSector returned by IOCTL_DISK_GET_DRIVE_GEOMETRY without checking whether the call succeeded or enforcing size bounds. USB Test/src/drivetest.cpp uses the value for division and to size a heap buffer before memcpy(buffer.data(), &sector, 8), so a physically connected malicious USB storage device can report a value below eight bytes and cause repeated out-of-bounds writes, or report zero and cause a divide-by-zero denial of service when a user starts a drive test. The heap corruption can crash the elevated application and may permit arbitrary code execution. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.5.

Axel Download Accelerator 2.17.14 and earlier performs URL percent-decoding (http_decode()) on the output filename after the URL has been parsed and the filename component extracted. This allows an attacker to embed %2e%2e%2f (URL-encoded ../) sequences in the URL path. These sequences survive the URL parser intact (they contain no literal / characters) but are decoded into directory traversal sequences before the output file is opened for writing. As a result, a crafted URL can cause axel to write downloaded content to arbitrary filesystem paths relative to the current working directory.

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/rocket: clear rdev on device init failure rocket_probe() stores the return value froCVE-2026-99210 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/rocket: clear rdev on device init failure rocket_probe() stores the return value from rocket_device_init() in the file-scoped rdev pointer before checking whether it is an error pointer. If rocket_device_init() fails, rdev is left as an ERR_PTR. The rdev pointer is also used as the marker for whether the shared rocket device has already been initialized. A later core probe can therefore see a non-NULL rdev, skip rocket_device_init(), and dereference the error pointer when reading rdev->num_cores. Save the error code and clear rdev before returning from the rocket_device_init() failure path.

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bcmgenet: unshare the skb before writing the control block bcmgenet stores first_cb, CVE-2026-99192 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bcmgenet: unshare the skb before writing the control block bcmgenet stores first_cb, last_cb and bytes_sent in the skb control block and reads them back on completion to free the skb and credit BQL. ether_setup() leaves IFF_TX_SKB_SHARING set, so the stack can resubmit a shared skb that is still in the ring. The next transmit overwrites last_cb, so the earlier slots complete without crediting their bytes and BQL stalls the queue until the watchdog resets it. Unshare the skb before writing the control block. Reproduce with pktgen in clone_skb mode, which hands the driver the same skb while earlier copies are still in the ring: modprobe pktgen pg=/proc/net/pktgen echo "add_device eth0" > $pg/kpktgend_0 echo "dst_mac AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF" > $pg/eth0 echo "dst 192.0.2.1" > $pg/eth0 echo "clone_skb 8" > $pg/eth0 echo "count 0" > $pg/eth0 echo start > $pg/pgctrl & sleep 5 echo stop > $pg/pgctrl wait cat /sys/class/net/eth0/queues/tx-0/byte_queue_limits/inflight inflight stays nonzero on the now idle queue. clone_skb 0 leaves it at zero.

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fsnotify: prevent mark additions during connector teardown fsnotify_destroy_marks() keeps CVE-2026-99175 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fsnotify: prevent mark additions during connector teardown fsnotify_destroy_marks() keeps a reference to its current mark while it drops conn->lock to destroy the mark. This stabilizes the forward-walk cursor, but does not prevent a new mark from being inserted before it. For example, an inotify watch re-added after IN_IGNORED sorts before the old, detached mark for the same group. The walk can miss the replacement and then detach the entire connector from the object. The replacement is still on its group's marks_list and, for inotify, in the watch IDR. The group mutex no longer protects the connector's object from disappearing. An unprivileged fdinfo read racing the final detach can consequently call igrab(NULL): BUG: KASAN: null-ptr-deref in igrab+0x24/0x100 Write of size 4 at addr 0000000000000148 Call Trace: igrab+0x24/0x100 inotify_show_fdinfo+0x1dc/0x5e0 seq_show+0x397/0x690 Set a DESTROYING flag under conn->lock before starting the walk, and reject new marks on that connector with -ENOENT. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Fix the bypass dispatch claim for schedulers bypassed by an ancestor scx_bypass() claims bypass dispatch when the scheduler's depth goes from zero to one and releases it when the depth returns to zero, but propagates only the depth to the descendants, not the claim. A descendant that starts bypassing with its ancestor never claims, and one whose own bypass ends under the ancestor's keeps its claim, as its depth does not return to zero. A sub-scheduler enable whose bypass ends under a PM suspend thus leaks its claim: the parent keeps hosting bypass dispatch and the sub-scheduler's next bypass trips the WARN_ON_ONCE() on the claim. A sub-scheduler disable that starts under a PM suspend has no claim, so once the resume lifts the root's bypass its tasks sit on the parent's bypass DSQs with nobody consuming them. Claim for every descendant whose depth goes from zero to one in the propagation and release every scheduler in the subtree whose depth returned to zero once the tasks have moved out of the bypass DSQs. A parent that is bypassing itself when a descendant claims consumes only its own bypass DSQs, e

  • Oct 28, 2026Post Snippets – Custom WordPress Code Snippets Customizer: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-77871 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The Post Snippets – Custom WordPress Code Snippets Customizer plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Shortcode Attributes in all versions up to, and including, 4.2.4 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Entity-encoded payloads such as <script>...</script> survive WordPress's wp_kses_post on-save sanitization because kses does not decode HTML entities, and are only converted back into executable HTML tags at render time by the plugin's own shortcode filter. This requires snippet shortcodes to be enabled.

  • Oct 28, 2026Prime Slider – Hero Slider, Carousel, WooCommerce & Post Slider Elementor Addons: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-111111 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The Prime Slider – Hero Slider, Carousel, WooCommerce & Post Slider Elementor Addons plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'comment' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.7.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is possible because core wp_filter_kses leaves the submitted markup inert, but the plugin's subsequent regex fallback consumes closing quotes of allowed attribute values containing 'bdt-', promoting previously inert bytes — such as event handlers like onfocus — into real HTML attributes that are then written to the database and rendered without further sanitization.

  • Oct 28, 2026DesignSetGo: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-111068 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.4

The DesignSetGo plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'tagName' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.11.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Successful exploitation requires an administrator to run the plugin's block-conversion migration ("Scan & Convert Blocks" during deactivation), which triggers the vulnerable build_group_block() function and promotes the dormant payload from a block delimiter comment into live post_content HTML. Successful exploitation additionally requires an action by an administrator — the attacker cannot trigger the vulnerability on their own.

This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The payload is triggered specifically when the victim clicks the embedded document's Download button, which causes the de_track_download AJAX fallback path to programmatically create an anchor with the attacker-controlled href and call .click() — a condition reached because supplying docId=0 causes can_read_document() to return false, bypassing the normal download flow.
