  • Aug 13, 2026Integer underflow in PostgreSQL ECPG allows a database server administrator to achieve temporary denial of service against the ECPG client via sending a bytea vCVE-2026-16241 · Other software · Postgresql · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007Low 3.8

Integer underflow in PostgreSQL ECPG allows a database server administrator to achieve temporary denial of service against the ECPG client via sending a bytea value lacking the mandatory prefix. The client overwrites a huge memory region with bytes outside attacker knowledge or control. This typically yields a simple SIGSEGV, but rare cases might achieve client-specific integrity impact via the write. Versions before PostgreSQL 18.6, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24 are affected.

  • Aug 11, 2026When OAuth authentication is enabled and browser-facing TLS terminates at a reverse proxy that forwards the callback to Temporal UI Server over HTTP, affected vCVE-2026-65655 · Other software · Temporal Technologies, Inc. · reported by security@temporal.ioLow 2.3

When OAuth authentication is enabled and browser-facing TLS terminates at a reverse proxy that forwards the callback to Temporal UI Server over HTTP, affected versions derive authentication-cookie Secure attributes from the proxy-to-server connection. Temporal UI Server can therefore issue access-token cookies, and refresh-token cookies when provided by the identity provider, without Secure even though the browser completed login over HTTPS. A victim who visits attacker-controlled content while a credential remains live may expose that credential only if the attacker can also steer traffic for the UI hostname, prevent the browser's HTTPS connection from succeeding, serve the hostname over HTTP, and read a later same-site plaintext request. A malicious website alone cannot read the cookie, and passive observation of a successful TLS connection is insufficient. Effective HSTS, a blocking HTTPS-only warning, or TLS re-encryption between the proxy and Temporal UI Server prevents the demonstrated disclosure path. A recovered credential may be replayed within the victim's assigned permissions. Refresh-token replay additionally depends on the identity provider's issuance, expiry, ro

  • Aug 10, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/packet: avoid fanout hook re-registration after unregister packet_set_ring() temporariCVE-2026-68338 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/packet: avoid fanout hook re-registration after unregister packet_set_ring() temporarily detaches a socket from packet delivery while reconfiguring its ring. It records the previous running state, clears po->num, unregisters the protocol hook when needed, drops po->bind_lock, and later restores po->num and re-registers the hook from the saved was_running value. That unlocked window can race with NETDEV_UNREGISTER. The notifier can observe the socket as not running, skip __unregister_prot_hook(), and invalidate the per-socket binding by setting po->ifindex to -1 and clearing po->prot_hook.dev. A one-member fanout group can still retain its shared fanout hook device pointer. When packet_set_ring() resumes, re-registering solely from the stale was_running state can re-add the fanout hook after the device has been unregistered. Treat po->ifindex == -1 as an invalidated binding after reacquiring po->bind_lock. This is distinct from ifindex 0, the normal unbound/wildcard state: ifindex -1 marks an existing device binding that was invalidated when the device was unregistered. Restore po->num as before, but do not

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xhci: sideband: fix ring sg table pages leak xhci_ring_to_sgtable() allocates a temporary pages array and uses it to build the returned sg_table with sg_alloc_table_from_pages(). The error paths free the pages array, but the success path returns the sg_table without freeing it. This leaks the temporary array every time a sideband client gets an endpoint or event ring buffer. Free the pages array after sg_alloc_table_from_pages() succeeds. The returned sg_table has its own scatterlist entries and does not depend on the temporary array after construction.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: fix UAF in bt_accept_dequeue() bt_accept_get() takes a temporary reference before dropping the accept queue lock. bt_accept_dequeue() currently drops that reference before bt_accept_unlink(), leaving only the queue reference. bt_accept_unlink() drops the queue reference. The subsequent sock_hold() therefore accesses freed memory if it was the final reference, as observed by KASAN during listening L2CAP socket cleanup. Retain the temporary queue-walk reference through unlink and hand it to the caller on success. Drop it explicitly on the closed and not-yet-connected paths.

  • Jun 29, 2026GNU gzip contains a vulnerability in the gzexe utility related to insecure temporary file handling.CVE-2026-41991 · Other software · GNU · reported by cvd@cert.plLow 2

GNU gzip contains a vulnerability in the gzexe utility related to insecure temporary file handling. When the mktemp utility is not available in the user’s PATH, gzexe falls back to constructing a temporary file path based solely on the process ID (PID). This predictable filename is created without exclusive access or existence checks. A local attacker can pre‑create the predicted temporary file path as a symbolic link pointing to an arbitrary file writable by the victim. When gzexe runs, it follows the symlink and overwrites the target file, resulting in a time‑of‑check to time‑of‑use (TOCTOU) condition that allows arbitrary file overwrite. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: eip93 - fix hmac setkey algo selection eip93_hmac_setkey() allocates a temporary ahash transform for computing HMAC ipad/opad key material. The allocation uses the driver-specific cra_driver_name (e.g. "sha256-eip93") but passes CRYPTO_ALG_ASYNC as the mask, which excludes async algorithms. Since the EIP93 hash algorithms are the only ones registered under those driver names and they are inherently async, the lookup is self-contradictory and always fails with -ENOENT. When called from the AEAD setkey path, this failure leaves the SA record partially initialized with zeroed digest fields. A subsequent crypto operation then dereferences a NULL pointer in the request context, resulting in a kernel panic: ``` pc : eip93_aead_handle_result+0xc8c/0x1240 [crypto_hw_eip93] lr : eip93_aead_handle_result+0xbec/0x1240 [crypto_hw_eip93] sp : ffffffc082feb820 x29: ffffffc082feb820 x28: ffffff8011043980 x27: 0000000000000000 x26: 0000000000000000 x25: ffffffc078da0bc8 x24: 0000000091043980 x23: ffffff8004d59e50 x22: ffffff8004d59410 x21: ffffff8004d593c0 x20: ffffff8004d593c0 x19: ffffff8004d4f300 x18:

  • Jun 11, 2026tmp is a temporary file and directory creator for node.js.CVE-2026-49982 · Other software · raszi · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

tmp is a temporary file and directory creator for node.js. In version 0.2.6, the _assertPath guard added to tmp rejects only string values that contain the substring ... It is bypassed when prefix, postfix, or template is supplied as a non-string value (Array, Buffer, or any object) whose includes('..') returns falsy but whose stringification still contains ../. The value flows through Array.prototype.join/String coercion inside _generateTmpName and path.join(tmpDir, opts.dir, name), producing a final path that escapes tmpdir and creates a file or directory at an attacker-controlled location with the host process's privileges. This affects any application that forwards untrusted request data (a common pattern is JSON body fields or qs-parsed bracket-array query strings such as ?prefix[]=...) into tmp.file, tmp.fileSync, tmp.dir, tmp.dirSync, tmp.tmpName, or tmp.tmpNameSync without explicit type coercion. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: ah: account for ESN high bits in async callbacks AH allocates its temporary auth/ICV layout differently when ESN is enabled: the async ahash setup appends a 4-byte seqhi slot before the ICV or auth_data area, but the async completion callbacks still reconstruct the temporary layout as if seqhi were absent. With an async AH implementation selected, that makes AH copy or compare the wrong bytes on both the IPv4 and IPv6 paths. In UML repro on IPv4 AH with ESN and forced async hmac(sha1), ping fails with 100% packet loss, and the callback logs show the pre-fix drift: ah4 output_done: esn=1 err=0 icv_off=20 expected_off=24 ah4 input_done: esn=1 auth_off=20 expected_auth_off=24 icv_off=32 expected_icv_off=36 Reconstruct the callback-side layout the same way the setup path built it by skipping the ESN seqhi slot before locating the saved auth_data or ICV. Per RFC 4302, the ESN high-order 32 bits participate in the AH ICV computation, so the async callbacks must account for the seqhi slot. Post-fix, the same IPv4 AH+ESN+forced-async-hmac(sha1) UML repro shows the corrected offset (ah4 output_done: esn=1 er

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hns3: fix double free issue for tx spare buffer In hns3_set_ringparam(), a temporary copy (tmp_rings) of the ring structure is created for rollback. However, the tx_spare pointer in the original ring handle is incorrectly left pointing to the old backup memory. Later, if memory allocation fails in hns3_init_all_ring() during the setup, the error path attempts to free all newly allocated rings. Since tx_spare contains a stale (non-NULL) pointer from the backup, it is mistaken for a newly allocated buffer and is erroneously freed, leading to a double-free of the backup memory. The root cause is that the tx_spare field was not cleared after its value was saved in tmp_rings, leaving a dangling pointer. Fix this by setting tx_spare to NULL in the original ring structure when the creation of the new `tx_spare` fails. This ensures the error cleanup path only frees genuinely newly allocated buffers.

  • May 18, 2026In mlflow/mlflow versions prior to 3.11.0, the `get_or_create_nfs_tmp_dir()` function in `mlflow/utils/file_utils.py` creates temporary directories with world-wCVE-2026-4137 · Other software · mlflow · reported by security@huntr.devHigh 7.8

In mlflow/mlflow versions prior to 3.11.0, the `get_or_create_nfs_tmp_dir()` function in `mlflow/utils/file_utils.py` creates temporary directories with world-writable permissions (0o777), and the `_create_model_downloading_tmp_dir()` function in `mlflow/pyfunc/__init__.py` creates directories with group-writable permissions (0o770). These insecure permissions allow local attackers to tamper with model artifacts, such as cloudpickle-serialized Python objects, and achieve arbitrary code execution when the tampered artifacts are deserialized via `cloudpickle.load()`. This vulnerability is particularly critical in environments with shared NFS mounts, such as Databricks, where NFS is enabled by default. The issue is a continuation of the vulnerability class addressed in CVE-2025-10279, which was only partially fixed.

Nornicdb is a distributed low-latency, Graph+Vector, Temporal MVCC with all sub-ms HNSW search, graph traversal, and writes. Prior to version 1.0.42-hotfix, the --address CLI flag (and NORNICDB_ADDRESS / server.host config key) is plumbed through to the HTTP server correctly but never reaches the Bolt server config. The Bolt listener therefore always binds to the wildcard address (all interfaces), regardless of what the user configures. On a LAN, this exposes the graph database — with its default admin:password credentials — to any device sharing the network. This issue has been patched in version 1.0.42-hotfix.

  • May 4, 2026Apache Polaris can issue broad temporary ("vended") storage credentials during staged table creation before the effective table location has been validated or dCVE-2026-42809 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.4

Apache Polaris can issue broad temporary ("vended") storage credentials during staged table creation before the effective table location has been validated or durably reserved. Those temporary credentials are meant to limit the scope of accessible table data and metadata, but this scope limitation becomes attacker- directed because the attacker can choose a reachable target location. In the confirmed variant, if the caller supplies a custom `location` during stage create and requests credential vending, Apache Polaris uses that location to construct delegated storage credentials immediately. The stage-create path itself neither runs the normal location validation nor the overlap checks before those credentials are issued. Closely related to that, the staged-create flow also accepts `write.data.path` / `write.metadata.path` in the request properties and feeds those location overrides into the same effective table location set used for credential vending. Those fields are secondary to the main custom-`location` exploit, but they are still attacker-influenced location inputs that should be validated before any credentials are issued.

  • May 1, 2026Temporary Login: Authentication BypassCVE-2026-7567 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The Temporary Login plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass in versions up to and including 1.0.0. This is due to improper input validation in the maybe_login_temporary_user() function, which fails to verify that the 'temp-login-token' GET parameter is a scalar string before processing it. When the parameter is supplied as an array, PHP's empty() check is bypassed and sanitize_key() returns an empty string, which is then passed as the meta_value to get_users(). WordPress ignores an empty meta_value and returns all users matching the meta_key '_temporary_login_token', allowing authentication without a valid token. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to authenticate as any active temporary login user by sending a single crafted GET request.

  • Apr 10, 2026The frontend gRPC server's streaming interceptor chain did not include the authorization interceptor.CVE-2026-5724 · Other software · Temporal Technologies, Inc. · reported by security@temporal.ioMedium 6.3

The frontend gRPC server's streaming interceptor chain did not include the authorization interceptor. When a ClaimMapper and Authorizer are configured, unary RPCs enforce authentication and authorization, but the streaming AdminService/StreamWorkflowReplicationMessages endpoint accepted requests without credentials. This endpoint is registered on the same port as WorkflowService and cannot be disabled independently. An attacker with network access to the frontend port could open the replication stream without authentication. Data exfiltration is possible, but  only when a configured replication target is correctly configured and the attacker has knowledge of the cluster configuration, as the history service validates cluster IDs and peer membership before returning replication data. The fix was applied per release line: it is present in 1.28.4, 1.29.6, 1.30.4, 1.31.2, and 1.32.0 and later releases on each line. Releases 1.31.0 and 1.31.1 do not contain the fix and are affected. Temporal Cloud is not affected.

  • Apr 1, 2026A writer role user in an attacker-controlled namespace could signal, delete, and reset workflows or activities in a victim namespace on the same cluster.CVE-2026-5199 · Other software · Temporal Technologies, Inc. · reported by security@temporal.ioLow 2.3

A writer role user in an attacker-controlled namespace could signal, delete, and reset workflows or activities in a victim namespace on the same cluster. Exploitation requires the attacker to know or guess specific victim workflow ID(s) and, for signal operations, signal names. This was due to a bug introduced in Temporal Server v1.29.0 which inadvertently allowed an attacker to control the namespace name value instead of using the server's own trusted name value within the batch activity code. The batch activity validated the namespace ID but did not cross-check the namespace name against the worker's bound namespace, allowing the per-namespace worker's privileged credentials to operate on an arbitrary namespace. Exploitation requires a server configuration where internal components have cross-namespace authorization, such as deployment of the internal-frontend service or equivalent TLS-based authorization for internal identities. This vulnerability also impacted Temporal Cloud when the attacker and victim namespaces were on the same cell, with the same preconditions as self-hosted clusters.
