  • Sep 29, 2026Serialize JavaScript serializes JavaScript values to a superset of JSON that includes regular expressions and functions.CVE-2026-97711 · Other software · yahoo · reported by GitHubLow 2.3

Serialize JavaScript serializes JavaScript values to a superset of JSON that includes regular expressions and functions. From 7.1.1 until 7.1.2, function values serialized by serialize-javascript are not fully protected against script-closing tags in attacker-influenced function source because SCRIPT_CLOSE_REGEXP can consume a second closing tag inside one match. When the serialized function is embedded in a script element, the surviving closing tag terminates the element early and causes the remaining output to be parsed as HTML, enabling cross-site scripting in the page origin. Only function values are affected; ordinary data values and options.isJSON output are unaffected. This issue is fixed in version 7.1.2.

  • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: do not mark the volume clean in sync_fs when errors were recorded ntfs_put_super() aCVE-2026-98138 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: do not mark the volume clean in sync_fs when errors were recorded ntfs_put_super() and the remount-read-only path both clear the dirty bit only when NVolErrors(vol) is false. ntfs_sync_fs() clears it unconditionally, so any sync() on a volume that recorded an error marks that volume clean. A volume without this set is then seen as not needing recovery and it does not run one, so whatever went wrong is never repaired. This change skips resetting the dirty bit when there are volume errors. Reproduced on a volume whose $MFTMirr does not match $MFT, which sets the error flag while leaving the mount read-write: after a write and a sync, the on-disk volume flags read 0x0000 with this driver and 0x0001 with the guard in place.

  • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ufs: create the root dentry after loading cylinder metadata ufs_fill_super() installed sb-CVE-2026-97927 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ufs: create the root dentry after loading cylinder metadata ufs_fill_super() installed sb->s_root before it loaded the cylinder group structures for a writable mount: sb->s_root = d_make_root(inode); ... if (!sb_rdonly(sb)) if (!ufs_read_cylinder_structures(sb)) goto failed; When ufs_read_cylinder_structures() failed, the error path freed the in-core superblock information and set sb->s_fs_info to NULL while sb->s_root stayed installed. get_tree_bdev() then reached deactivate_locked_super(), and because s_root was present, generic_shutdown_super() called sync_filesystem() and the put_super operation. Both dereference UFS_SB(sb), which is now NULL, so a mount that fails only while reading the cylinder groups oopses during teardown. A crafted image whose first cylinder group cannot be read reaches this path. Load the cylinder group metadata first and create the root dentry last, so the superblock is published to the VFS only once it is fully set up. ufs_setup_cstotal() and ufs_read_cylinder_structures() take only the super_block and do not use the root inode, so the reordering is safe.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: autofs: fix memory leak in autofs_fill_super() In autofs_fill_super(), we create a new inode using autofs_new_ino(), however, if we fail to create root_inode, (that is, root_inode failure path), we return -ENOMEM without freeing the new inode(ino) that we created causing a memory leak. Fix this by adding autofs_free_ino() to free the inode we created in root_inode failure path before returning ENOMEM.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: pin DFS superblock in iterator callback tcon_super_cb() stores a raw superblock pointer, but __cifs_get_super() takes its active reference only after iterate_supers_type() has dropped s_umount and its passive reference. Concurrent DFS automount expiry can therefore free the superblock before cifs_sb_active() uses it. A deterministic KASAN test reproduces the race as: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in cifs_sb_active+0x77/0x80 The same test passes with this change applied. Take the active reference in the callback while iterate_supers_type() still holds s_umount shared. cifs_put_tcp_super() remains the matching release.

  • Sep 23, 2026Solspace Freeform plugin for Craft CMS 5.x is a super flexible form-building tool.CVE-2026-73858 · Other software · solspace · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Solspace Freeform plugin for Craft CMS 5.x is a super flexible form-building tool. From 5.0.0 through 5.10.13, submitted values from public Freeform forms can be evaluated by the isolated Twig renderer when rendered into HTML attributes. An unauthenticated attacker can place Twig expressions in submitted field values, including value attributes, and receive evaluated PHP, operating-system, or Craft filesystem-path constants in the form response. The isolated context was not shown to expose Craft globals, environment variables, credentials, arbitrary files, or code execution, so the confirmed impact is limited server and environment information disclosure and possible rendering errors. This issue is fixed in version 5.10.14.

  • Sep 18, 2026microsandbox is an easy, fast, local-first microVM runtime and library.CVE-2026-61670 · Other software · superradcompany · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

microsandbox is an easy, fast, local-first microVM runtime and library. Prior to 0.5.10, sdk/rust/lib/runtime/spawn.rs serializes NetworkConfig secret values into the --network-config argument and passes per-sandbox secrets through repeated --env arguments accepted by crates/cli/lib/sandbox_cmd.rs. Other local users or co-resident processes can read these values through the host process table, including /proc process command lines on Linux and process listings on Linux and macOS, for the lifetime of the sandbox. Exploitation does not require code execution inside the sandbox or access to the spawning user's session, and can disclose host-side API keys, tokens, and environment secrets on shared hosts, CI runners, and developer systems. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.10.

If root dentry creation fails after the subpool is created, the failure path frees the subpool with kfree(). This bypasses hugepage_put_subpool() and can leave min_size reservations charged. Use hugepage_put_subpool() on the failure path, matching the normal put_super path.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: check for NULL root inode in fuse_fill_super_submount fuse_iget() can return NULL whCVE-2026-90139 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: check for NULL root inode in fuse_fill_super_submount fuse_iget() can return NULL when its inode allocation fails, but fuse_fill_super_submount() passed the result straight to get_fuse_inode() and decremented fi->nlookup without checking it: root = fuse_iget(sb, parent_fi->nodeid, ...); fi = get_fuse_inode(root); fi->nlookup--; Inside fuse_iget() the inode allocation can fail and return NULL. The submount root takes the iget5_locked() path, whose alloc_inode() can fail under memory pressure (the auto-submount branch can fail the same way in new_inode() or fuse_alloc_submount_lookup()): inode = iget5_locked(sb, nodeid, fuse_inode_eq, fuse_inode_set, &nodeid); if (!inode) return NULL; A NULL root makes get_fuse_inode() a container_of() on NULL and the nlookup decrement a write to a bogus address, oopsing the mount. With CONFIG_KASAN the following null pointer dereference is reported when the root inode allocation of an auto-submount fails (e.g. under memory pressure): ===================================================

  • Sep 14, 2026Description A topology's `topology.blobstore.map` lets the submitter choose a local name for each blob that the supervisor localises.CVE-2026-82427 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.8

Description A topology's `topology.blobstore.map` lets the submitter choose a local name for each blob that the supervisor localises. That name was used to build a path under the topology's working directory without normalisation, in both `AsyncLocalizer` and `Container.createBlobstoreLinks`, and the symlink helper force-deletes whatever already exists at the target before creating the link. A submitter could therefore use `../` segments to direct that delete-and-symlink operation at an arbitrary path, as the supervisor user, on every node the topology is scheduled onto. The consequences include recursive deletion of supervisor-owned content and planting a symlink that causes a subsequent worker launch to execute attacker-chosen code as another tenant's operating-system user, which defeats the isolation that `supervisor.run.worker.as.user` is intended to provide. Mitigation Upgrade to 3.1.0, where the resolved target must lie inside the expected root at both call sites. Users who cannot upgrade immediately should restrict topology submission to trusted principals, and may reject submissions whose `topology.blobstore.map` entries contain path separators or `..` segments before

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: memcg: stop reclaim when a limit update is superseded kernfs serializes file operations only per open file, so separate open files can update the same memory.high or memory.max file concurrently. Both handlers store the new limit before synchronous reclaim, but continue to use the writer's local target in the reclaim loop. If another writer raises or removes the limit, the first writer can continue reclaiming toward a stale target. For memory.max, this can leave the writer looping indefinitely once reclaim retries are exhausted. The OOM path sees sufficient margin under the current limit and returns true without killing, while the writer still compares usage against its stale target and records another OOM event. Check the current limit at the start of each reclaim iteration and stop if it no longer matches the writer's target. Reproducer: Populate a cgroup with anonymous memory and disable swapping. Lower memory.max from one open file, then restore it to "max" through another open file after the new limit becomes visible. Without the patch, the first writer remains blocked and repeatedly increments

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-era: fix shadowed superblock leak on take-snap failure metadata_take_snap() bumps the live superblock refcount and then dm_tm_shadow_block() allocates a new block for the metadata snapshot. If the subsequent dm_sm_inc_block() of writeset_tree_root or era_array_root fails, the function only unlocks the clone and returns. The newly allocated shadow block is never returned to the metadata space map, so each failed take-snap permanently leaks one metadata block. Free the clone with dm_sm_dec_block() on those error paths, matching the final step of metadata_drop_snap().

  • Sep 1, 2026Laravel Excel provides supercharged Excel exports and imports in Laravel.CVE-2026-84374 · Other software · SpartnerNL · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

Laravel Excel provides supercharged Excel exports and imports in Laravel. From 3.1.8 until 3.1.70, in src/Files/Disk.php the Maatwebsite\Excel\Files\Disk::copy() method resolves the caller-controlled $destination supplied through Excel::store(), $export->store(), or storeExcel() against the process working directory with realpath() instead of the configured filesystem disk. If the path names an existing writable file, Disk::copy() opens it with fopen() in rb+ mode and uses stream_copy_to_stream(), bypassing Flysystem path confinement and allowing an attacker whose application input controls the export path to overwrite arbitrary existing files with export content. The rb+ behavior creates a non-truncating overwrite and trailing bytes when the new export is shorter, and overwriting an executable PHP file can lead to remote code execution. This issue is fixed in version 3.1.70.

The Zephyr ext2 filesystem driver fails to validate the s_log_block_size field of the on-disk superblock when mounting a filesystem. ext2_verify_disk_superblock() in subsys/fs/ext2/ext2_impl.c checks the magic number, revision, inode size and group counts, but never bounds s_log_block_size. On a successful verify, subsys/fs/ext2/ext2_ops.c computes fs->block_size = 1024 << superblock.s_log_block_size from this attacker-controlled uint32_t, so a crafted value either overflows the shift (undefined behaviour) or yields a block size far larger than CONFIG_EXT2_MAX_BLOCK_SIZE. That block size is then passed to k_mem_slab_init() by ext2_init_blocks_slab() to carve CONFIG_EXT2_MAX_BLOCK_COUNT blocks out of the fixed static buffer __ext2_block_memory_buffer, whose size is CONFIG_EXT2_MAX_BLOCK_COUNT * CONFIG_EXT2_MAX_BLOCK_SIZE. k_mem_slab_init() does not verify that the requested blocks fit the buffer, and the ext2 wrapper discards its return value, so the slab is laid out past the end of the static buffer. The mount immediately reads block-group, bitmap and inode blocks of fs->block_size bytes each into these slab blocks, producing an out-of-bounds write into adjacent static memory on t

The electron/preload.ts bridge exposes window.ea.exec() to renderer code, including community plugins executed with new Function(), without requiring nodeExecution permission. A confirmation dialog protects only the first execution, its persistence checkbox is selected by default, and approved commands are stored in the ALLOWED_COMMANDS value in simpleSettings for silent later execution with the desktop account's privileges. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: kernfs: fix xattr race condition with multiple superblocks Multiple superblocks with different namespaces can share the same kernfs_node when kernfs_test_super() finds a matching root but different namespace. This means multiple inodes from different superblocks can reference the same kernfs_node->iattr->xattrs structure. The VFS layer only holds per-inode locks during xattr operations, which is insufficient to serialize concurrent xattr modifications on the shared kernfs_node. This can lead to race conditions in simple_xattr_set() where the lookup->replace/remove sequence is not atomic with respect to operations from other superblocks. Fix this by protecting xattr operations with the existing hashed kernfs_locks->open_file_mutex[] array, which is already used to protect per-node open file data. The hashed mutex array provides scalable per-node serialization (scaled by CPU count, up to 1024 locks on 32+ CPU systems) with zero memory overhead. Changes: - Rename open_file_mutex[] to node_mutex[] to reflect dual purpose - Add kernfs_node_lock_ptr() and kernfs_node_lock() helpers - Protect simple_xattr_set() calls

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: minix: avoid overflow in bitmap block count calculation minix_check_superblock() uses minix_blocks_needed() to verify that the on-disk imap and zmap block counts are large enough for the advertised inode and zone counts. The helper currently performs DIV_ROUND_UP() in unsigned int arithmetic. A Minix v3 image can set s_ninodes or s_zones near UINT_MAX so the addition inside DIV_ROUND_UP() wraps to zero. That makes a zero imap/zmap block count look valid, after which minix_fill_super() can dereference s_imap[0] or s_zmap[0] even though no bitmap buffers were allocated. Impact: mounting a crafted Minix v3 image whose s_ninodes or s_zones is near UINT_MAX makes minix_check_superblock() accept a zero bitmap-block count and minix_fill_super() dereference s_imap[0]/s_zmap[0], panicking the kernel. The divisor is the bitmap capacity in bits, blocksize * 8, which is always a power of two: minix_fill_super() obtains the block size through sb_set_blocksize(), and blk_validate_block_size() rejects any size that is not a power of two. Use DIV_ROUND_UP_POW2(), which divides before adding the round-up term and so cannot ove

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: microchip: vcap: fix races on the shared Super VCAP block The VCAP instances on a chip are not independent, yet they are locked independently. On sparx5 and lan969x the IS0 and IS2 instances are backed by the same Super VCAP hardware block and share its cache and command registers: every access drives the shared VCAP_SUPER_CTRL register and moves data through the shared cache registers. Accessing one instance therefore races with accessing another. The per-instance admin->lock cannot prevent this, as each instance takes a different lock. The locking issue is mostly disguised by the fact that the core usage of the vcap api runs under rtnl. However, the full rule dump in debugfs decodes rules straight from hardware (a READ command followed by a cache read) and runs outside rtnl, so it races a concurrent tc-flower rule write to another Super VCAP instance. Besides corrupting the dump, the read repopulates the shared cache between the writers cache fill and its write command, so the writer commits the wrong data and corrupts the hardware entry. Introduce vcap_lock() and vcap_unlock() helpers and route every

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: free volume-wide resources on fill_super failure ntfs_fill_super()'s err_out_now path frees only the volume struct via kfree(vol), leaving several vol-owned allocations behind on every mount failure: - vol->nls_map, loaded by ntfs_init_fs_context() via load_nls_default() (or replaced by an explicit nls= option in ntfs_parse_param()), is never unload_nls()'d. - vol->volume_label, allocated by load_system_files() through ntfs_ucstonls() once the $Volume name attribute has been parsed, is not released by load_system_files()'s own error labels nor by the fill_super() inline cleanup that only runs on d_make_root() failure. Any later failure inside load_system_files() leaks it. - vol->lcn_empty_bits_per_page was kvfree()'d in unl_upcase_iput_tmp_ino_err_out_now without clearing the pointer, so it could not be folded into a single common cleanup. Because the failure paths never call ntfs_volume_free() and never reach the d_make_root() inline cleanup block (it sits above the label and is jumped over by the load_system_files() / kvmalloc failure gotos), these resources accu

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: fail attrlist updates when the superblock is inactive generic_shutdown_super() clears SB_ACTIVE before evicting cached inodes. If eviction selects the fake inode for a base inode's unnamed $ATTRIBUTE_LIST attribute, ntfs_evict_big_inode() drops the fake inode's reference on the base inode while the fake inode is still hashed and marked I_FREEING. That iput can synchronously write back the base inode. The writeback path may update mapping pairs and call ntfs_attrlist_update(), which unconditionally calls ntfs_attr_iget() for the same $ATTRIBUTE_LIST fake inode. VFS then finds the I_FREEING inode and waits for eviction to finish, but the current task is still inside that eviction path, causing a self-deadlock in find_inode(). Fix this by mirroring the teardown guard used by __ntfs_write_inode(): once SB_ACTIVE has been cleared, do not try to iget the attribute-list fake inode. Return -EIO so teardown aborts the update instead of waiting on the inode it is evicting.
