Oct 13, 2026Gotify server is a simple server for sending and receiving messages in real-time per WebSocket.CVE-2026-102603 · Other software · gotify · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
Gotify server is a simple server for sending and receiving messages in real-time per WebSocket. Prior to 3.0.0, the password change endpoint (POST /current/user/password) accepts a valid client token without requiring the account's current password or another elevated authentication step. An attacker who obtains a client token can set a new password for the associated user, taking control of password authentication and forcing account recovery through an administrator or direct database access. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: Fix parent socket leak in iso_conn_ready() iso_get_sock() returns the parent socket with a reference held, which is dropped by sock_put() once the child socket has been set up. The error path taken when iso_sock_alloc() fails only calls release_sock() and returns, leaking the reference and thus the parent socket itself. Drop the reference on that path as well.

Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: RFCOMM: avoid socket lock inversion in listener cleanup rfcomm_sock_cleanup_lisCVE-2026-98290 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: RFCOMM: avoid socket lock inversion in listener cleanup rfcomm_sock_cleanup_listen() closes unaccepted child sockets through rfcomm_sock_close(), which takes the child socket lock before rfcomm_dlc_close() acquires rfcomm_mutex. The RFCOMM worker takes these locks in reverse order while handling connections and DLC state changes, so lockdep reports a possible deadlock. Close dequeued children without taking their socket lock. The accept queue owns a reference to each child, and bt_accept_dequeue() locks the child while unlinking it and clearing its parent pointer. Dropping the child lock makes it important to prevent a concurrent rfcomm_connect_ind() from enqueueing a new child after cleanup observes an empty queue. Set a listening socket to BT_CLOSED while its lock is still held, before dropping the lock and draining the queue. The state check in rfcomm_connect_ind() then rejects new children once cleanup starts.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: lock the socket in sock_gettstamp() sk->sk_flags must only be changed while holding the socket lock, because sock_set_flag() and sock_reset_flag() use non atomic operations (__set_bit() and __clear_bit()). sock_gettstamp() is one of the last places where a bit of sk->sk_flags is changed from a syscall without owning the socket lock, through sock_enable_timestamp(sk, SOCK_TIMESTAMP). sk_set_memalloc() and sk_clear_memalloc() also change sk->sk_flags without the socket lock, but their callers (nbd, iscsi_tcp, nvme-tcp, sunrpc, wireguard) need a careful audit, this will be addressed in a separate patch. Jungwoo Lee and Wongi Lee reported an UDP socket use-after-free caused by this bug: a SIOCGSTAMPNS_NEW ioctl racing with bind() can cancel the SOCK_RCU_FREE bit that udp_lib_get_port() just set, because both threads perform a read-modify-write on the same word. Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: xfrm: use full sockets in local error paths xfrm6_local_rxpmtu() and xfrm6_local_errCVE-2026-98241 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: xfrm: use full sockets in local error paths xfrm6_local_rxpmtu() and xfrm6_local_error() dereference skb->sk as if it always pointed at a full IPv6 socket. That is not guaranteed. TCP SYN-ACK skbs can be owned by a TCP_NEW_SYN_RECV request_sock while the output path itself is driven by the full listener. If rerouting selects an IPv6 XFRM tunnel route with a lower MTU, the local PMTU/error handling path can reach these callbacks with that mini-socket still attached to the skb. The callbacks then miscast the request socket as a full inet/IPv6 socket and can read beyond the request_sock allocation when they access inet_sock or ipv6_pinfo state. Resolve the owner with skb_to_full_sk() in both callbacks and bail out when no full socket is attached. This matches the surrounding XFRM IPv6 PMTU/error logic, which already reasons about full sockets with skb_to_full_sk().

NetX Duo's WebSocket client resets the unmasking cursor to the first `NX_PACKET` each time it advances through a chained packet, while the loop's upper bound belongs to the current packet. With the standard contiguous packet-pool layout, a masked server frame split across two packets therefore drives the XOR loop through the first packet's unused payload area and on through the second packet's `NX_PACKET` control block. The four-byte WebSocket masking key controls the bytes written, so the corruption is attacker-chosen rather than incidental.

Sep 28, 2026The native BSD-socket layer recorded a pending asynchronous socket error by type-punning it into struct net_context's void user_data field (ctx->user_data = INTCVE-2026-18417 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.5
The native BSD-socket layer recorded a pending asynchronous socket error by type-punning it into struct net_context's void user_data field (ctx->user_data = INT_TO_POINTER(-status) in zsock_accepted_cb(), zsock_received_cb(), zsock_connected_cb() and zsock_close_ctx() in subsys/net/lib/sockets/sockets_inet.c), reading it back with POINTER_TO_INT(). That same field is owned by the network stack for listening TCP contexts: net_tcp_accept() stores the parent context pointer there and the TCP core passes it back to the registered accept callback. A failed accept therefore left a small integer (an errno value) where the stack expected a struct net_context . When the network interface carrying a listening TCP socket goes down, close_tcp_conn() in subsys/net/ip/tcp.c invokes the accept callback with -ENETDOWN and the context's user_data. In v4.3.0 the callback was not disarmed afterwards, so a second interface-down event forwarded the previously stored errno to zsock_accepted_cb(), which dereferenced it as the parent context and performed several stores through it (sock_set_error()'s read-modify-write of socket_data, k_fifo_cancel_wait(&parent->recv_q)) — the crash described in the fix's

Sep 27, 2026utcp-mcp (the MCP plugin of python-utcp) through 1.1.2 connects to the HTTP and WebSocket MCP server URLs given in a call template's mcpServers configuration wiCVE-2026-101057 · Other software · universal-tool-calling-protocol · reported by VulnCheckLow 2.3
utcp-mcp (the MCP plugin of python-utcp) through 1.1.2 connects to the HTTP and WebSocket MCP server URLs given in a call template's mcpServers configuration without the ensure_secure_url validation that the HTTP-family plugins apply, so the HTTPS/WSS-or-loopback rule is not enforced. A call template naming a plain-HTTP, non-loopback MCP server URL is dialed as configured, exposing the MCP handshake to network interception and permitting cleartext connections to internal hosts. The mcpServers configuration is operator-authored rather than remote data, and the connection is an MCP handshake rather than an arbitrary request returning a body, which limits practical exploitation; the OAuth2 token_url credential path described in the original report was not reachable in the affected versions, because the OAuth2 handler was never invoked and the call template's auth field was not read. Fixed in utcp-mcp 1.1.3, which validates server URLs before any connection is made.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: flowlabel: cap duplicate leases per socket ipv6_flowlabel_get() allocates an ipv6_flCVE-2026-97597 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: flowlabel: cap duplicate leases per socket ipv6_flowlabel_get() allocates an ipv6_fl_socklist entry for every successful GET. The recheck path for a compatible existing flowlabel links another lease without applying any lease admission check. Repeated GET requests for one shareable label can therefore grow a socket's lease list without bound. Reject a new unprivileged lease once the socket already holds FL_MAX_PER_SOCK leases. Check this on the shared recheck path so reuse of a globally interned label, including the fl_intern() collision path, is covered as well. New-label admission remains under the existing mem_check() policy. Use capable(CAP_NET_ADMIN) rather than ns_capable(), matching mem_check(). An unprivileged user must not bypass the cap by creating a user namespace and a netns where they have CAP_NET_ADMIN, which would still consume host memory. Check the capability only when the socket reaches the limit, so successful unprivileged GET requests below the cap do not generate a capability audit. Do the admission check before updating linger and expires so a rejected GET does not refresh the share

IO::Socket::SSL::SelfCertificate versions 1.00 for Perl contains malware which executes Python code from an obfuscated URL. The generate_certificate runs a Python script saved as a certificate file. The pyhton script attempts to retrieve code from a hardcoded http URL that is obfuscated with base64 encoding and run the response body directly. The impact is that arbitrary code can be invoked as the user, without a dropped script being saved on the affected host. The releases have no test scripts nor build hooks. Sep 21, 2026Supabase Realtime provides Broadcast, Presence, and Postgres Changes via WebSockets.CVE-2026-62247 · Other software · supabase · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
Supabase Realtime provides Broadcast, Presence, and Postgres Changes via WebSockets. Prior to 2.111.2, Realtime authorization does not correctly honor the per-extension presence.read row-level security policy when a private-channel client is allowed presence.write but explicitly denied presence.read. Under that differential policy, the client can receive presence_diff messages containing other members' presence metadata, including application-defined location, online-status, roster, viewing, or typing information. Deployments with uniform presence visibility have no differential, and postgres_changes row data is unaffected. This issue is fixed in version 2.111.2.

Sep 18, 2026Autobahn Python is a WebSocket and WAMP implementation for Python that supports Twisted and asyncio.CVE-2026-77528 · Other software · crossbario · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
Autobahn Python is a WebSocket and WAMP implementation for Python that supports Twisted and asyncio. Prior to 26.7.1, WebSocket endpoints that accept permessage-deflate and rely on maxMessagePayloadSize enforce that limit against the compressed frame length before inflation but do not recheck the decompressed message size before delivery. A remote unauthenticated client can send a valid compressed frame below the configured wire-size limit that expands beyond the application message limit, causing oversized data to be allocated, joined, validated, and passed to application callbacks. This can create resource-exhaustion pressure, but the advisory does not establish confidentiality or integrity impact. This issue is fixed in version 26.7.1.

Sep 18, 2026A flaw was found in Netty's WebSocketServerExtensionHandler.CVE-2026-93558 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.5
A flaw was found in Netty's WebSocketServerExtensionHandler. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by using HTTP/1.1 pipelining to send requests faster than the application can respond. This leads to an unbounded growth of a per-connection queue, consuming excessive memory. Eventually, this can cause the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) to exhaust its heap, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the affected server.

Sep 17, 2026ESPAsyncWebServer is an asynchronous HTTP and WebSocket server library for ESP32, ESP8266, RP2040 and RP2350.CVE-2026-54571 · Other software · ESP32Async · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7
ESPAsyncWebServer is an asynchronous HTTP and WebSocket server library for ESP32, ESP8266, RP2040 and RP2350. Prior to 3.11.1, the multipart/form-data parser in src/WebRequest.cpp stores _boundaryPosition as an 8-bit value while _parseMultipartPostByte processes the boundary. A remote request containing an exactly 256-byte multipart boundary wraps _boundaryPosition from 255 to zero, prevents the boundary parsing loop from terminating, consumes excessive CPU, and triggers a FreeRTOS watchdog reset on affected ESP32 or ESP8266 devices. This issue is fixed in version 3.11.1.

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sunrpc: xprtsock: annotate shared socket callbacks with READ_ONCE/WRITE_ONCE xprtsock replCVE-2026-90235 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sunrpc: xprtsock: annotate shared socket callbacks with READ_ONCE/WRITE_ONCE xprtsock replaces and restores sk->sk_data_ready and sk->sk_write_space on live sockets with plain stores, and xs_udp_do_set_buffer_size() invokes sk->sk_write_space via a plain load. These callback pointers are shared with generic socket and protocol paths that may read or invoke them concurrently, so xprtsock needs the same READ_ONCE()/WRITE_ONCE() callback visibility contract that the validated 4022 family applied elsewhere. When SUNRPC takes over an AF_LOCAL, UDP, or TCP socket and later restores the lower-socket callbacks during teardown, another CPU may still hold an earlier callback snapshot. The plain replace/restore pattern leaves the same visibility hole as the validated 4022 family, so a stale snapshot can still invoke xs_data_ready() or xs_udp_write_space() after the live callback fields have already been restored to the lower-socket handlers. Use WRITE_ONCE() for the shared sk_data_ready and sk_write_space stores in xs_local_finish_connecting(), xs_udp_finish_connecting(), xs_tcp_finish_connecting(), and xs_restore_old_cal

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: llcp: read llcp_sock->local under the socket lock in getsockopt nfc_llcp_getsockopt()CVE-2026-90225 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: llcp: read llcp_sock->local under the socket lock in getsockopt nfc_llcp_getsockopt() read llcp_sock->local before lock_sock(sk) and then dereferenced the cached pointer inside the locked region. llcp_sock_bind() assigns and clears llcp_sock->local under the same socket lock, dropping the last reference on its error path. A getsockopt() racing an in-flight bind() can observe the pointer, block on lock_sock(), and then dereference a freed nfc_llcp_local once bind() has unwound. Move the llcp_sock->local read and the NULL check inside the lock_sock(sk) region so bind() cannot mutate or free the pointer between the load and the use.

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: smbdirect: release pending child sockets outside the handler lock smbdirect_socket_deCVE-2026-90171 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: smbdirect: release pending child sockets outside the handler lock smbdirect_socket_destroy() releases the listener's pending/ready child sockets while still holding the listener's handler lock, the &id_priv->handler_mutex taken via rdma_lock_handler(), not sc->listen.lock, and before the listener's own rdma_destroy_id(). That ordering has one real consequence and one cosmetic one. The real one: smbdirect_socket_release() drops the child's last reference, which destroys the child's cm_id. Doing that before the listener's rdma_destroy_id() lets _cma_cancel_listens(), running from the listener's _destroy_id(), walk an already freed child id_priv, which KASAN catches as a slab-use-after-free during listener shutdown: [ 4758.909130] BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __mutex_lock+0x1469/0x1560 [ 4758.911450] Read of size 1 at addr ffff88821c381db4 by task ksmbd.control/1652 [ 4758.913262] Call Trace: [ 4758.913267] <TASK> [ 4758.913299] __mutex_lock+0x1469/0x1560 [ 4758.913408] _cma_cancel_listens+0x312/0x3b0 [ 4758.913413] _destroy_id+0x363/0xee0 [ 4758.913417] smbdirect_socket_destroy_sync+0x17d5/0x2440
