Sep 21, 2026A flaw was found in openshift/oc-mirror.CVE-2026-75939 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.4
A flaw was found in openshift/oc-mirror. The tool incorrectly verifies PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) release image signatures by checking for signature errors before the entire signed body is processed, leading to a bypass of the signature verification. A remote attacker, by intercepting or manipulating network traffic to the signature endpoint, could exploit this to craft a PGP message with a valid Red Hat release key ID but a forged signature. This enables the `oc-mirror` tool to accept and mirror a malicious release payload into a disconnected registry, potentially compromising the integrity of software deployments.

Sep 21, 2026A flaw was found in the signature verification logic of noobaa-core, the core component of the NooBaa Multicloud Object Gateway.CVE-2026-94368 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.1
A flaw was found in the signature verification logic of noobaa-core, the core component of the NooBaa Multicloud Object Gateway. The issue occurs when the service processes S3 presigned URLs using Signature Version 4 (SigV4). Due to improper validation, the service fails to reject requests containing unsigned x-amz- headers, instead simply dropping them from the signature calculation. This allows an attacker who possesses a valid presigned PUT URL to add an unsigned x-amz-copy-source header, effectively converting a simple upload into a CopyObject operation. This can lead to unauthorized access and copying of any data the original signer is permitted to reach across the entire storage system.

Sep 21, 2026A vulnerability was found in CRI-O related to the container checkpoint and restore feature.CVE-2026-15801 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 8
A vulnerability was found in CRI-O related to the container checkpoint and restore feature. When CRI-O is configured to restore containers from checkpoint archives, insufficient validation of restore metadata may allow a user with sufficient privileges to perform unintended operations on the host filesystem. Successful exploitation requires that container checkpoint and restore functionality is enabled, which is not the default configuration. An attacker must also be able to trigger restoration of a container from untrusted checkpoint content.

Sep 18, 2026A flaw was found in the OpenShift console.CVE-2026-75885 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatCritical 9.3
A flaw was found in the OpenShift console. Unauthenticated access to the `/api/devfile/` and `/api/devfile/samples/` endpoints allows a remote attacker to send crafted devfile payloads. This can lead to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF), where the console pod makes requests to internal services and reflects partial responses to the attacker. Additionally, by sending repeated large requests without a specified content length, an attacker can cause unbounded memory growth, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS).

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dax/fsdev: clear vmemmap_shift when binding static pgmap Clear pgmap->vmemmap_shift for stCVE-2026-93076 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dax/fsdev: clear vmemmap_shift when binding static pgmap Clear pgmap->vmemmap_shift for static DAX devices. When rebinding a static device from device_dax (which may set vmemmap_shift based on alignment) to fsdev_dax, the stale vmemmap_shift persists on the shared pgmap. Explicitly zero it before devm_memremap_pages() so the vmemmap is built for order-0 folios as fsdev requires.

Sep 15, 2026Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes or OpenShift in various deployment configurations.CVE-2026-55226 · Other software · strimzi · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4
Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes or OpenShift in various deployment configurations. In Strimzi 1.0.0 and earlier, deploying only the Topic Operator or only the User Operator through the Kafka custom resource leaves the Entity Operator ServiceAccount with RBAC permissions for both components. The excess permissions can allow access to KafkaUser custom resources and Secrets when the User Operator is absent, or access to KafkaTopic custom resources when the Topic Operator is absent. This issue is fixed in versions 1.0.1 and 1.1.0.

Sep 15, 2026Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes or OpenShift in various deployment configurations.CVE-2026-55225 · Other software · strimzi · reported by GitHubHigh 8
Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes or OpenShift in various deployment configurations. In Strimzi 1.0.0 and earlier, an attacker who can create a Kafka custom resource can set Kafka.spec.entityOperator watchedNamespace to a target namespace, causing the Cluster Operator to create a Role with full Secret CRUD permissions there and bind it to the Entity Operator ServiceAccount in the attacker's namespace. The attacker can mint a token for that ServiceAccount and read or write Secrets in any target namespace where the Cluster Operator has been granted permissions, regardless of STRIMZI_NAMESPACE. This issue is fixed in versions 1.0.1 and 1.1.0.

Sep 15, 2026Converting crafted SHIFT_JISX0213 input to UCS-4 or the internal wide character encoding, for example with iconv, in the GNU C Library version 2.3 to 2.44 may rCVE-2026-77117 · Other software · The GNU C Library · reported by 3ff69d7a-14f2-4f67-a097-88dee7810d18Medium 5.9
Converting crafted SHIFT_JISX0213 input to UCS-4 or the internal wide character encoding, for example with iconv, in the GNU C Library version 2.3 to 2.44 may result in the converter making no progress, causing the calling application to hang. Some SHIFT_JISX0213 sequences decode to two code points. If the output buffer has room for only the first one, the converter stores the second in the conversion state and returns E2BIG, but it never clears that pending character after emitting it on the next call. The converter then keeps emitting the pending character without consuming further input, so an application that retries the conversion loops forever. The input must be attacker controlled and the application must convert it with an output buffer small enough to split the two code points. Only the SHIFT_JISX0213 character set is affected, which is not commonly used. The related defect in the EUC_JISX0213 converter is tracked separately as CVE-2026-80489.

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: validate non-resident attribute offsets ntfs_attr_update_meta() shifts the attributeCVE-2026-89611 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: validate non-resident attribute offsets ntfs_attr_update_meta() shifts the attribute name when converting between non-sparse and sparse attributes. Converting to sparse also adds the compressed_size field before the name and mapping pairs, requiring eight additional bytes in the attribute record. However, the validator does not check that name_offset is within safe boundaries for these operations or that the additional space is available. A malicious MFT record could set name_offset such that: 1. The name is positioned at the very end of a non-sparse attribute. Converting to sparse would shift the name forward by 8 bytes, writing beyond the attribute boundary. 2. The name overlaps with the mapping pairs, causing corruption during conversion. Add validation to ensure: - For named attributes, name_offset is within valid bounds - Name does not extend beyond the attribute or overlap with mapping pairs - For non-sparse, non-compressed attributes, eight bytes are available after mapping_pairs_offset for the compressed_size field The space check also covers unnamed attributes, for which name_offset

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md: do overflow check for sb->bblog_shift in super_1_load() In super_1_load(), sb->bblog_sCVE-2026-89557 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md: do overflow check for sb->bblog_shift in super_1_load() In super_1_load(), sb->bblog_shift is an __u8 type value loaded from on- disk superblock. It is used for badblocks API badblocks_set() by the following sequence, 1930 rdev->badblocks.shift = sb->bblog_shift; 1931 for (i = 0 ; i < (sectors << (9-3)) ; i++, bbp++) { 1932 u64 bb = le64_to_cpu(*bbp); 1933 int count = bb & (0x3ff); 1934 u64 sector = bb >> 10; 1935 sector <<= sb->bblog_shift; 1936 count <<= sb->bblog_shift; 1937 if (bb + 1 == 0) 1938 break; 1939 if (!badblocks_set(&rdev->badblocks, sector, count, 1)) 1940 return -EINVAL; 1941 } bb->bblog_shit is in range of 0-255, variable sector is 64bit width, for an invalid bb->bblog_shit, it is possible to make sector be overflowed by the following calculation, 1935 sector <<= sb->bblog_shift; Then in turn when call badblocks_set() at line 1939 with the invalid rdev->badblocks.shift set at line 1930, may result an overflow inside _badblocks_clear() in block/badblocks.c.

Sep 7, 2026A flaw was found in odh-dashboard in Red Hat OpenShift AI.CVE-2026-86332 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.5
A flaw was found in odh-dashboard in Red Hat OpenShift AI. The backend-for-frontend route GET /api/nim-serving/:nimResource reads Kubernetes Secrets using the dashboard service account and returns the full Secret object, including .data, without an authorization check. Any authenticated dashboard user can retrieve the cluster NVIDIA NGC API key Secret (apiKeySecret) and the NIM image pull secret (nimPullSecret). Create and delete of the same NIM credential are admin-gated; the read path is not. This is missing authorization (CWE-862) and insufficiently protected credentials (CWE-522). It is distinct from CVE-2026-5483 (service-account token leak in the Kubernetes client response wrapper on the same route) and CVE-2026-16456 (odh-model-controller cross-namespace confused deputy).

Sep 1, 2026A flaw was found in openshift/oauth-server.CVE-2026-49329 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.5
A flaw was found in openshift/oauth-server. The OAuth login and error page endpoints pass the unauthenticated Accept-Language header to golang.org/x/text/language.ParseAcceptLanguage() without input validation. A bypass of the CVE-2022-32149 mitigation exists: the upstream guard counts only '-' characters but the internal BCP 47 scanner aliases '_' to '-' after the guard check. An unauthenticated attacker can send a crafted Accept-Language header using '_' separators to trigger quadratic-time parsing, consuming excessive CPU and denying authentication to all cluster users.
