  • Mar 6, 2026Rocket.Chat is an open-source, secure, fully customizable communications platform.CVE-2026-30831 · Other software · RocketChat · reported by GitHubHigh 8

Rocket.Chat is an open-source, secure, fully customizable communications platform. Prior to versions 7.10.8, 7.11.5, 7.12.5, 7.13.4, 8.0.2, 8.1.1, and 8.2.0, authentication vulnerabilities exist in Rocket.Chat's enterprise DDP Streamer service. The Account.login method exposed through the DDP Streamer does not enforce Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) or validate user account status (deactivated users can still login), despite these checks being mandatory in the standard Meteor login flow. This issue has been patched in versions 7.10.8, 7.11.5, 7.12.5, 7.13.4, 8.0.2, 8.1.1, and 8.2.0.

  • Mar 6, 2026Rocket.Chat is an open-source, secure, fully customizable communications platform.CVE-2026-28514 · Other software · RocketChat · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3

Rocket.Chat is an open-source, secure, fully customizable communications platform. Prior to versions 7.8.6, 7.9.8, 7.10.7, 7.11.4, 7.12.4, 7.13.3, and 8.0.0, a critical authentication bypass vulnerability exists in Rocket.Chat's account service used in the ddp-streamer micro service that allows an attacker to log in to the service as any user with a password set, using any arbitrary password. The vulnerability stems from a missing await keyword when calling an asynchronous password validation function, causing a Promise object (which is always truthy) to be evaluated instead of the actual boolean validation result. This may lead to account takeover of any user whose username is known or guessable. This issue has been patched in versions 7.8.6, 7.9.8, 7.10.7, 7.11.4, 7.12.4, 7.13.3, and 8.0.0.

Rocket TRUfusion Enterprise through 7.10.5 exposes the endpoint at /axis2/services/WsPortalV6UpDwAxis2Impl to authenticated users to be able to upload files. However, the application doesn't properly sanitize the jobDirectory parameter, which allows path traversal sequences to be included. This allows writing files to arbitrary local filesystem locations and may subsequently lead to remote code execution.

An issue was discovered in Chipsalliance Rocket-Chip commit f517abbf41abb65cea37421d3559f9739efd00a9 (2025-01-29) allowing attackers to corrupt exception handling and privilege state transitions via a flawed interaction between exception handling and MRET return mechanisms in the CSR logic when an exception is triggered during MRET execution. The Control and Status Register (CSR) logic has a flawed interaction between exception handling and exception return (MRET) mechanisms which can cause faulty trap behavior. When the MRET instruction is executed in machine mode without being in an exception state, an Instruction Access Fault may be triggered. This results in both the exception handling logic and the exception return logic activating simultaneously, leading to conflicting updates to the control and status registers.

The macOS Rocket.Chat application is affected by a vulnerability that allows bypassing Transparency, Consent, and Control (TCC) policies, enabling the exploitation or abuse of permissions specified in its entitlements (e.g., microphone, camera, automation, network client). Since Rocket.Chat was not signed with the Hardened Runtime nor set to enforce Library Validation, it is vulnerable to DYLIB injection attacks, which can lead to unauthorized actions or escalation of permissions. Consequently, an attacker gains capabilities that are not permitted by default under the Sandbox and its application profile.

  • Jul 22, 2024For RocketMQ versions 5.2.0 and below, under certain conditions, there is a risk of exposure of sensitive Information to an unauthorized actor even if RocketMQ CVE-2024-23321 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 8.8

For RocketMQ versions 5.2.0 and below, under certain conditions, there is a risk of exposure of sensitive Information to an unauthorized actor even if RocketMQ is enabled with authentication and authorization functions. An attacker, possessing regular user privileges or listed in the IP whitelist, could potentially acquire the administrator's account and password through specific interfaces. Such an action would grant them full control over RocketMQ, provided they have access to the broker IP address list. To mitigate these security threats, it is strongly advised that users upgrade to version 5.3.0 or newer. Additionally, we recommend users to use RocketMQ ACL 2.0 instead of the original RocketMQ ACL when upgrading to version Apache RocketMQ 5.3.0.
