A vulnerability was found in CRI-O related to the container checkpoint and restore feature. When CRI-O is configured to restore containers from checkpoint archives, insufficient validation of restore metadata may allow a user with sufficient privileges to perform unintended operations on the host filesystem. Successful exploitation requires that container checkpoint and restore functionality is enabled, which is not the default configuration. An attacker must also be able to trigger restoration of a container from untrusted checkpoint content.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iomap: release the folio batch on iomap callback failures A sashiko review of an unrelated patch points out that the folio batch mechanism used for iomap zero range fails to release the batch in a couple error scenarios. If either calls to ->iomap_end() or ->iomap_begin() fail, the direct return paths bypass the batch cleanup. The ->iomap_end() case is not a practical issue at the moment because there is no user of the mechanism that returns an error from this path. The ->iomap_begin() case is theoretically possible because XFS can invoke the fill helper and error out at various points thereafter. This subtly complicates things because XFS does not transfer iomap_flags to the iomap data structure in the error path. To deal with both of these issues, first make sure to invoke the cleanup helper in the error path for either fs callback. Second, update the helper to clear the flag unconditionally and release the batch so long as it is populated. This more clearly delineates the purpose of the flag to control the I/O path and not necessarily the status of the fbatch, so add a comment around this as well.

plone.app.textfield provides a zope.schema-style field type called RichText for storing a value with a related MIME type. Prior to 2.0.2, 3.0.2, and 4.0.1, depending on the release line, RichTextValue.output returns an unsanitized stored RichText value when mimeType equals outputMimeType, including values that claim the text/x-html-safe output type. This equality shortcut bypasses the safe_html transform even though the transform itself correctly removes event-handler attributes and unsafe URI schemes. Equal types can result from a RichText field configured with the same mimeType and outputMimeType or from REST API input that supplies text/x-html-safe as its content type. The raw stored value is then emitted through tal:content=structure without escaping, allowing a user who can set a RichText field to store JavaScript that executes in a viewer's browser. This issue is fixed in versions 2.0.2, 3.0.2, and 4.0.1.

  • Sep 14, 2026Description Three separate mechanisms allowed a web page on an unrelated origin to read responses that Storm's HTTP components served to an authenticated user.CVE-2026-82438 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 8.1

Description Three separate mechanisms allowed a web page on an unrelated origin to read responses that Storm's HTTP components served to an authenticated user. The Logviewer reflected the request's `Origin` header back in `Access-Control-Allow-Origin` while also sending `Access-Control-Allow-Credentials: true`. The published security model documents a permissive `Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *` posture as accepted, which is safe precisely because browsers refuse to honour `*` together with credentials; reflecting the concrete origin removes that protection. The shared CORS filter used by the UI, the Logviewer and DRPC was configured with a response header name where an initialisation parameter name was expected. The container ignored the setting and applied its own defaults, which allow credentials. Finally, the UI and Logviewer wrapped API responses in a caller-supplied JSONP callback for every GET request. A script element on any origin can load such a response, which bypasses the same-origin policy entirely rather than negotiating it, and there was no way to turn the behaviour off. In each case the effect is that a page visited by an authenticated operator can read cluster,

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: bcd2000: clear the URB pointers on disconnect bcd2000_free_usb_related_resources() frees both URBs and leaves the pointers behind: usb_kill_urb(bcd2k->midi_out_urb); usb_kill_urb(bcd2k->midi_in_urb); usb_free_urb(bcd2k->midi_out_urb); usb_free_urb(bcd2k->midi_in_urb); The rawmidi device outlives that call. A substream that is still open when the device is unplugged reaches bcd2000_midi_send() from the trigger path on close. That function writes to the freed URB and then hands it to the USB core: bcd2k->midi_out_urb->transfer_buffer_length = BUFSIZE; ... ret = usb_submit_urb(bcd2k->midi_out_urb, GFP_ATOMIC); usb_kill_urb() does not stop a later submission either, so a submit that races the disconnect can requeue the URB after it has been reaped. midi_in_urb is exposed the same way: bcd2000_input_complete() resubmits it from the completion handler. A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Konami's Metal Gear Online 3, originating from improper validation of lobby data fields related to kicked players. The affected function processes a list of kicked player identifiers using the lobby data key "kick_num" to determine the number of entries, and individual kicked player IDs supplied via keys in the format "kicked_id_%i". The function does not validate that "kick_num" falls within the expected bounds. The game design limits matches to a maximum of 16 players, and the corresponding buffer for storing kicked player IDs is sized accordingly. If "kick_num" exceeds this limit, the function continues writing the provided player IDs past the end of the intended buffer and into adjacent memory regions. These adjacent regions contain Steam callback handler structures responsible for processing lobby data updates, lobby messages, and other related events. By supplying an oversized "kick_num" value and appropriate "kicked_id_%i" fields, an attacker can overwrite fields within the callback handler structures, including function pointers and callback argument values. Successful exploitation may enable control-flow hijacking, poten

The SimpleSAMLphp SAML2 library is a PHP library for SAML2 related functionality. In 4.19.2 and 4.20.2, the library permits attacker-controlled XPath transforms while processing XML signatures in specially crafted SAML messages. • Aug 19, 2026The SimpleSAMLphp SAML2 library is a PHP library for SAML2 related functionality.CVE-2026-49283 · Other software · simplesamlphp · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

The SimpleSAMLphp SAML2 library is a PHP library for SAML2 related functionality. Prior to versions 4.19.3, 4.20.2, 5.0.6, and 6.2.1, the HTTPArtifact::receive() flow can treat an unsigned embedded SAML Response as cryptographically valid for the wrong identity provider. SOAPClient::addSSLValidator() attaches a TLS-based validator to the outer SOAP ArtifactResponse, while the embedded Response receives a validator that delegates to the outer message and is later checked against metadata selected from the embedded response issuer rather than necessarily the artifact issuer. SOAPClient::validateSSL() returns normally when the TLS public key does not match the key being validated, and SAML2\Message::validate() treats a validator call that does not throw as successful. In a multi-IdP federation, a malicious or lower-trust IdP can therefore provide an ArtifactResponse containing an unsigned Response that claims a higher-trust victim IdP as issuer and authenticate as arbitrary users with attacker-chosen assertion attributes, NameID, and session data. This issue is fixed in versions 4.19.3, 4.20.2, 5.0.6, and 6.2.1.

As an inadvertent side effect of an unrelated code change, PRIV_KTRACE was always denied to a jailed root user. Tracing configured by a jailed root user was therefore not flagged as privileged. An unprivileged user in a jail that has permission to debug the target process can modify the jailed root user's ktrace(2) flags, or disable tracing outright. A jailed root user therefore cannot reliably trace unprivileged processes.

  • Aug 18, 2026Linuxfabrik Monitoring Plugins provides monitoring plugins for Icinga, Nagios, and related systems.CVE-2026-73973 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linuxfabrik · reported by GitHubMedium 5.5

Linuxfabrik Monitoring Plugins provides monitoring plugins for Icinga, Nagios, and related systems. Prior to version 7.0.0, check-plugins/logfile/logfile accepted a free-form --filename path and opened it as root when invoked through the shipped nagios or icinga sudoers allowlist, without confining the resolved path to /var/log. An attacker who controls the monitoring account can select a root-readable file such as /etc/shadow and use --warning-regex . while leaving SUPPRESS_OUTPUT false, causing each nonempty line to be collected in warn_matches and returned through lib.base.oao(). The vulnerable flow passes the expanded scan_path directly to open(), and neither real-path containment nor an allowlist protects the sink. The same fix also confines mysql-logfile and openvpn-client-list paths, allows only documented log roots, and resolves symlinks and parent-directory traversal before checking containment. This issue is fixed in version 7.0.0.

  • Aug 18, 2026Linuxfabrik Monitoring Plugins provides monitoring plugins for Icinga, Nagios, and related systems.CVE-2026-52817 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linuxfabrik · reported by GitHubHigh 7

Linuxfabrik Monitoring Plugins provides monitoring plugins for Icinga, Nagios, and related systems. Prior to version 5.1.0, the shipped assets/sudoers/Debian.sudoers policy allowed the nagios or icinga account to execute /usr/bin/apt-get as root without restricting its arguments. An attacker who already controls that monitoring account can supply the APT::Update::Pre-Invoke option to execute an arbitrary command while apt-get runs with root privileges, resulting in a root shell and complete compromise of the host. The vulnerable rule supports the check-plugins/deb-updates/deb-updates plugin, but it authorized arbitrary apt-get argument sequences rather than only the required apt-get update --quiet 2 command. This issue is fixed in version 5.1.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/irdma: Fix OOB read during CQ MR registration Sashiko pointed out an unrelated bug during a previous patch: https://sashiko.dev/#/patchset/20260512183852.614045-1-jmoroni%40google.com This change fixes the bug by eliminating the cqmr->split field which was not being set properly and instead just checks the CQ resize feature flag directly. The cqmr->split field essentially tracks whether IRDMA_FEATURE_CQ_RESIZE is set, but it was not being set until CQ creation time, which is _after_ CQ memory registration (the only other place where it is referenced). As a result, it would always be false during MR registration and would therefore cause irdma_handle_q_mem to populate cqmr->shadow even for GEN_2 HW and beyond: cqmr->shadow = (dma_addr_t)arr[req->cq_pages]; The issue is that for GEN_2 and beyond, req->cq_pages may be exactly equal to iwmr->page_cnt and therefore equal to the size of arr, which would cause an OOB read by one.

SAP Approuter does not consistently enforce integrity verification on certain session-related request headers under specific conditions. An attacker with low privileges could send a specially crafted request that bypasses the integrity check and loads another user's session context. Successful exploitation requires the attacker to have previously observed matching session values out-of-band, which makes the attack complex to execute. This could result in a high impact on confidentiality and a low impact on integrity. There is no impact on availability.

  • Aug 10, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovpn: avoid putting unrelated P2P peer on socket release ovpn_peer_release_p2p() is calledCVE-2026-68342 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovpn: avoid putting unrelated P2P peer on socket release ovpn_peer_release_p2p() is called when an OVPN UDP socket is being destroyed. It checks the currently published P2P peer and releases it only if that peer still uses the socket being destroyed. A peer replacement can publish a new peer before the old UDP socket is destroyed. When the old socket destruction path runs afterwards, ovpn_peer_release_p2p() observes the new peer through ovpn->peer. Since the new peer uses a different socket, the function takes the socket mismatch branch. That branch still calls ovpn_peer_put(peer). At this point, however, peer is the currently published replacement peer, not the peer associated with the socket being destroyed. Dropping its reference can free it while ovpn->peer still points to it, leading to later use-after-free accesses from the peer and socket cleanup paths. KASAN reports this as a slab-use-after-free on the kmalloc-1k ovpn_peer object. In the reproducer, the object is allocated from ovpn_peer_new() via ovpn_nl_peer_new_doit(), and freed through ovpn_peer_release_rcu() from RCU callback processing. Observed

diboot-core's POST /common/load-related-data endpoint resolves caller-supplied field names to any @TableField column of any entity and returns those values for all rows, with no field or entity allowlist. The only guard, relatedDataSecurityCheck(), returns true unconditionally, so any authenticated user (including a zero-role account) can read @JsonIgnore-annotated secret fields such as IamAccount.authSecret and IamAccount.secretSalt for every account, or arbitrary secret fields of any other entity. Shiro's two-iteration MD5 with an 8-character salt is trivially crackable offline, so the disclosed admin password hashes convert to full administrative takeover. The endpoint is not example code; the official diboot-admin-ui frontend requires it, so deployments following the vendor's recommended integration expose it. The mechanism was renamed relatedData* to attachMore* on the development branch, but attachMoreSecurityCheck() also returns true unconditionally.
