The MongoDB C# Driver does not reject replacement documents whose top-level field names begin with a dollar sign in FindOneAndReplace, unlike other replace operations. An application that builds such a document from user-supplied field names can have the server apply update operators instead of a full replacement. The effect is limited to the document matched by the application's own filter, whose contents can be modified in ways the application did not intend.

  • Oct 22, 2026A flaw was found in Goose.CVE-2026-111079 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.4

A flaw was found in Goose. When the terminal integration feature is enabled, the application captures shell command history and sends it verbatim without sanitization to configured Large Language Model (LLM) provider endpoints during queries. If a user enters sensitive data—such as API tokens, passwords, or environment variables containing secrets—in the terminal, this unredacted information is transmitted across trust boundaries. This can lead to sensitive information disclosure, exposing confidential credentials to external service providers and logs.

  • Oct 21, 2026The device multiplexer pseudo-driver in drivers/misc/devmux/devmux.c exposes two system calls, devmux_select_get() and devmux_select_set().CVE-2026-19947 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 5.3

The device multiplexer pseudo-driver in drivers/misc/devmux/devmux.c exposes two system calls, devmux_select_get() and devmux_select_set(). When CONFIG_USERSPACE is enabled, their user-mode verifiers z_vrfy_devmux_select_get() and z_vrfy_devmux_select_set() forwarded directly to the kernel implementations without performing any kernel-object validation — no k_object_access_check() and no driver object check. Compounding this, DEVICE_DT_INST_DEFINE() registered devmux instances with a NULL driver API pointer, which causes scripts/build/gen_kobject_list.py to skip them entirely, so a devmux device had no struct k_object and no permission on it could be granted or withheld in the first place. Any thread running in user mode can reach the defect: device pointers such as DEVICE_DT_GET(DT_NODELABEL(devmux0)) are compile-time constants available to application code, and the syscall accepted them from a thread that had never been granted access to the device. The kernel implementations do validate the pointer against the static devmux instance table and bounds-check the selection index, so this is not a memory-safety issue; the failure is purely one of authorization. Exposure requires CON

The Apache Pulsar broker exposes a transaction administration REST API under /admin/v3/transactions. When authentication and authorization are enabled, most of the read endpoints of this API verify only that the request is authenticated and that the broker serves the requested topic or transaction coordinator. They do not check whether the caller is permitted to access the tenant, namespace or topic whose data is returned. The endpoints that modify state, which abort a transaction or scale the transaction coordinators, correctly require super-user access and are not affected. As a result, any authenticated user, including one that has been granted no permissions, can read transaction coordinator and transaction information belonging to other tenants. This includes the list of transaction coordinators with the broker service URLs that serve them, transaction coordinator statistics and internal statistics, transaction metadata including the names of the topics and subscriptions a transaction involves and the principal that opened it, the list of long-running transactions on a transaction coordinator, transaction buffer and pending acknowledgement statistics and internal statistics f

Missing authorization in the REST and COM administration APIs of Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.0.0 through 6.3.6 allows a remote authenticated user whose credential is confined to named domains to change mail routing and domain configuration beyond those domains on a multi-tenant server. A domain administrator, an account or API key given another role that manages accounts in named domains, or a full-scope API key issued for named domains could create a domain alias for any name (so that other tenants' mail for that name is diverted to an address the attacker controls, or denied), rename a domain to any name the server does not host, set a rule's bind-to-address, send-using-route or script-function action to reach one of the server's own addresses, a configured route's stored credentials or a function of the server's event script, and set the domain's relay host - which delivery then connects to with no address rule - to an address on the server's own network; and over the COM API any account could set the three rule actions on its own rules, where the script-function action runs at delivery. Missing authorization in the REST metrics route of Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.2.25 through 6.3.6 allows a remote authenticated user whose credential is confined to named domains to read the server-wide traffic history. GET /api/v1/metrics/history returns the server's traffic counters over the last 30 days; those counters are server-wide and carry no domain, which is why the report routes already refuse the same counters to a credential confined to named domains. The metrics route was not among the routes the server's authorization gate refuses a confined credential and its handler was not given the caller, so a domain administrator, an account given another role that holds view_configuration in named domains (the auditor role given a domain list among them), or an API key issued for named domains could read the whole server's traffic totals rather than its own domains'. The disclosure is of aggregate operational counters, not of any message or account.

  • Oct 21, 2026Incorrect authorization in the REST administration API of Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.3.4 through 6.3.6 allows a remote authenticated user whose credential CVE-2026-114476 · Other software · Progressive Robot Ltd · reported by cve@gitlab.comHigh 7.5

Incorrect authorization in the REST administration API of Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.3.4 through 6.3.6 allows a remote authenticated user whose credential holds the manage_roles permission in named domains - a full-scope API key issued for those domains, or an account assigned the serveradmin role with a list of domains - to obtain the server administrator's authority. An account's admin level gives it authority, and a role assigned to it replaces that authority, which is how an administrator narrows an account whose admin level is the server administrator's. The route that takes a role away (DELETE /api/v1/role-assignments/{address}) checked only that the credential takes in what the account held at the time, not what it would hold afterwards, so such a credential could take a narrowing role away from an account in its domains whose admin level is the server administrator's, returning it to the server administrator's authority, and, having set that account's password while it held the narrower role, sign in as the server administrator.

Missing authorization in the REST role-management routes of Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.3.4 through 6.3.6 allows a remote authenticated user whose credential is confined to named domains to modify a custom role that accounts in other domains hold, and to create custom roles and delete any that no account holds. The routes that create, update and delete a custom role require the manage_roles permission, which only the serveradmin role holds; but a full-scope API key issued for named domains, and serveradmin assigned with a domain list, are serveradmin confined to those domains and hold manage_roles. The server's authorization gate did not refuse the three role routes to a confined credential and the route named no domain, so a credential issued to one tenant could raise or lower the permissions of a custom role assigned across other tenants - granting another domain's role every permission over its mailboxes and settings, or removing what it needs. A custom role may not hold administer_server, administer_domain or manage_roles, so the confined credential cannot make itself or another a server administrator by creating or rewriting a custom role.

  • Oct 21, 2026Exposed dangerous method or function and Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in OnePlus OxygenOS on Android.CVE-2026-70387 · Other software · OnePlus · reported by a6d3dc9e-0591-4a13-bce7-0f5b31ff6158High 8.4

Exposed dangerous method or function and Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in OnePlus OxygenOS on Android. The olc2 logging HAL exposes a binder method that fork()'s and calls execl("/vendor/bin/sh", "sh", "-c", cmd, NULL) with a caller-supplied command string. The only authorization check is getCallingUid() == 0. Because SELinux policy grants binder access to this HAL to a wide client attribute, any uid-0 process in any of those domains (including dumpstate, which is reachable from an unprivileged app via Vulnerability 1) obtains arbitrary command execution. The spawned shell lands in u:r:vendor_qti_init_shell:s0 SELinux context via a policy type_transition, a domain holding all Linux capabilities. This issue affects OxygenOS: from 16.1.0 before 16.1.10.500, from 16.0.0 before 16.0.5.1200, and from 15.0.0 before 15.0.0.2000.

  • Oct 21, 2026In NLnet Labs Unbound up to and including version 1.26.1, an observable cache-level side-channel can be exposed with 'unwanted-reply-threshold > 0' configuratiCVE-2026-109125 · Other software · NLnet Labs · reported by sep@nlnetlabs.nlMedium 5.3

In NLnet Labs Unbound up to and including version 1.26.1, an observable cache-level side-channel can be exposed with 'unwanted-reply-threshold > 0' configurations (not a default configuration). If a response-like UDP datagram reaches the upstream source port currently used by a recursive query, but its TXID does not match any pending query, Unbound counts the packet as an unwanted reply. When the accumulated count reaches the configured threshold, Unbound clears the worker's RRset cache and message cache. This cache clear action does not destroy the current upstream UDP pending query. Therefore, an external observer can distinguish whether a candidate port matches the current upstream source port by checking whether an existing cached item has been cleared. This is a cache side-channel vulnerability that can be used to probe the upstream source port. Although the attack is not feasible on default configurations and the suggested value (10 million) makes it an ureliable attack on a public resolver, in scenarios where the attacker can keep a concurrent query window alive, the attacker can first filter the source port and then perform birthday-style guessing against the TXID, making

Summary Before version 0.9.0, Pingora accepted HTTP/2 requests whose Host header differed from the :authority pseudo-header. Request filters, cache keys, and logs that read the request URI (session.req_header().uri) saw the :authority value, but the upstream received the client-supplied Host value. Pingora also accepted :authority values containing userinfo (for example, user@example.com). This violates RFC 9113 Section 8.3.1, which requires an intermediary to use the :authority value for Host and replace any existing Host field. Root cause * HTTP/2 to HTTP/1.1: Host was generated from :authority only when the request had no Host header, so a conflicting client Host was forwarded unchanged. * HTTP/2 to HTTP/2: the client Host header was removed and used to overwrite the upstream :authority, after request filters had already run against the original :authority. * The HTTP/2 server did not compare Host with :authority and did not reject userinfo in the authority. Impact A remote, unauthenticated attacker can send a single HTTP/2 request that the application sees as one host and the upstream receives as another. Where request filters, access contro

Plack::Middleware::ETag versions from 0.04 before 0.06 for Perl disclose file inode numbers in the default ETag header. When the response body is a filehandle and the file_etag option is not set, the ETag is built from the file's inode number, modification time and size. The Management Console and product files expose sensitive data, including remote log server credentials, truststore passwords, and keystore passwords, in plain text. This occurs because the system does not sufficiently protect or obscure these credentials when the remote logging feature is enabled. An attacker with administrative access to the Management Console or direct access to product files can retrieve these sensitive credentials. This allows for potential manipulation of log entries and compromise of the integrity and confidentiality of the remote log server.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-cgroup: save IRQ state in blkg_tryget_closest() bio_set_dev() associates the bio with a blkg through bio_associate_blkg(). If the blkg lookup misses, blkg_tryget_closest() takes q->queue_lock with spin_lock_irq() and releases it with spin_unlock_irq(), which unconditionally enables local interrupts. Callers may call bio_set_dev() with interrupts already disabled, e.g. dm-thin's pool_map() does so while holding pool->lock taken with spin_lock_irq(). The nested spin_unlock_irq() then enables interrupts while pool->lock is still held, so an I/O completion softirq can run on the same CPU, re-acquire pool->lock (thin_endio(), or overwrite_endio() -> complete_mapping_preparation()) and deadlock. lockdep reports this as inconsistent SOFTIRQ-ON-W to IN-SOFTIRQ-W usage. Commit 3a762de55b4e ("block: save irq state in blkg_lookup_create()") fixed the same problem while the lock lived in blkg_lookup_create(), but commit 9327a865e395 ("blk-cgroup: don't nest queue_lock under rcu in blkg_lookup_create()") moved the locking into blkg_tryget_closest() and reverted it to spin_lock_irq(). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: dsa: mt7530: leave the MDIO IRQ mappings to regmap-irq mt7530_remove_common() disposes the per-PHY interrupt mappings from .remove, but the regmap-irq chip that owns the domain is devm-registered, so its parent interrupt is only freed once .remove has returned. The switch's own regmap-irq thread can therefore still dispatch on a mapping that is already gone: irq_find_mapping() returns 0, irq_to_desc() returns NULL and handle_nested_irq() locks desc->lock without checking it. The attached PHYs have not given those interrupts back yet either, which the kernel warns about a moment before the fault. regmap_del_irq_chip() disposes the same mappings itself, after freeing the parent interrupt and before removing the domain, so there is nothing left for the driver to do here. Until it runs the descriptors stay alive, and a late dispatch on one of them is harmless: dsa_unregister_switch() has freed the PHY handlers by then, so handle_nested_irq() finds no action and returns.

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/vm: nuke PTs only after unlinking contested VMAs In xe_vm_close_and_put(), externalCVE-2026-98510 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/vm: nuke PTs only after unlinking contested VMAs In xe_vm_close_and_put(), external-BO VMAs are queued on the contested list for deferred destruction via xe_vma_destroy_unlocked(). However, xe_vm_pt_destroy() was previously invoked before processing contested VMAs, destroying vm->pt_root while those VMAs were still linked to their respective buffer objects (vm_bo->list.gpuva). If a concurrent thread evicts one of those shared buffer objects, xe_bo_trigger_rebind() holding only bo->resv walks the BO's VMAs and, in fault mode, calls xe_vm_invalidate_vma() -> xe_pt_zap_ptes(). Because vm->pt_root[tile->id] is already NULL, dereferencing pt->level causes a NULL ptr deref. Fix this by deferring xe_vm_free_scratch() and xe_vm_pt_destroy() until after all contested VMAs have been unlinked and destroyed. User is reporting hitting a NULL ptr deref in xe_pt_zap_ptes(), which could be explained by this race. (cherry picked from commit c2863648959489767f08892fd6e90577d2ea0b6a)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: port100: reject frames whose declared length exceeds the received data port100_recv_response() passes the URB transfer buffer to port100_rx_frame_is_valid(), which checksums le16_to_cpu(frame->datalen) bytes of frame->data. datalen is a 16-bit field supplied by the device and is never checked against the number of bytes actually received (urb->actual_length), so a device reporting a datalen larger than the received frame makes port100_data_checksum() read out of bounds past the transfer buffer. Reject a response whose declared frame size does not fit the received length before validating it. Found by 0sec (https://0sec.ai) using automated source analysis; the missing bound is evident from source. Compile-tested.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: close handle after create-context parsing failure SMB2_open() accounts a successful CREATE response as a remote open before parsing its create contexts. If smb2_parse_contexts() rejects malformed context data, SMB2_open() returns without closing the handle, leaving the server-side handle open and num_remote_opens elevated. Close the handle after a post-CREATE context parsing failure so the error path releases the remote resource and balances the open count.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: close completed creates on compound wait errors compound_send_recv() waits for responses in order. If a later wait is interrupted, or if a later MID fails during response synchronization, an earlier CREATE may already have opened a remote handle. The earlier mid is then released without invoking handle_cancelled_mid(), leaving the remote handle open because no FID was copied to the caller. Mark completed earlier mids as cancelled when a compound wait or MID synchronization aborts. Keep their response buffers attached while the MIDs are synchronized, and transfer them only after synchronization of the processed responses, so the release path can inspect successful CREATE responses and queue SMB2_close() after a later failure. Account for a remote open only after the close work is allocated and before it is queued, since the caller has not yet updated num_remote_opens. Mark the create+close compound used by smb2_unlink() so it is not closed again. Non-CREATE responses and compounds that already include a close keep their existing behavior.

ZoneMinder is a free, open source closed-circuit television software application. Prior to 1.39.2, 1.38.2, and 1.36.40, ZoneMinder interpolates an unvalidated monitor Device field into shell commands in PHP and Perl control paths when an authenticated user with monitor-create or monitor-edit permission saves a Local monitor whose Device Path contains shell metacharacters and the monitor control or startup path runs. In this attack mechanism, the stored Device value reaches Perl qx() and backtick execution before zmdc.pl argument detainting, while separate PHP command paths use bypassable escapeshellcmd defenses. The attacker can execute arbitrary commands as the web server user. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.39.2, 1.38.2, and 1.36.40.
