  • May 15, 2026LibJWT is a C JSON Web Token Library.CVE-2026-44699 · Other software · benmcollins · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1

LibJWT is a C JSON Web Token Library. From 3.0.0 to 3.3.2, libjwt accepts an RSA JWK that does not contain an alg parameter as the verification key for an HS256/HS384/HS512 token. In the OpenSSL backend, this causes HMAC verification to run with a zero-length key, so an attacker can forge a valid JWT without knowing any secret or RSA private key. This is an algorithm-confusion authentication bypass. It affects applications that load RSA keys from JWKS where alg is omitted, which is valid JWK syntax and common in real deployments, and then choose the verification algorithm from the JWT header, for example in a kid lookup callback. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.3.3.

  • Mar 27, 2026LibJWT is a C JSON Web Token Library.CVE-2026-33996 · Other software · benmcollins · reported by GitHubMedium 5.8

LibJWT is a C JSON Web Token Library. Starting in version 3.0.0 and prior to version 3.3.0, the JWK parsing for RSA-PSS did not protect against a NULL value when expecting to parse JSON string values. A specially crafted JWK file could exploit this behavior by using integers in places where the code expected a string. This was fixed in v3.3.0. A workaround is available. Users importing keys through a JWK file should not do so from untrusted sources. Use the `jwk2key` tool to check for validity of a JWK file. Likewise, if possible, do not use JWK files with RSA-PSS keys.

Pimcore is an Open Source Data & Experience Management Platform. In versions up to and including 11.5.14.1 and 12.3.2, the filter query parameter in the dependency listing endpoints is JSON-decoded and the value field is concatenated directly into RLIKE clauses without sanitization or parameterized queries. A directory traversal (Zip Slip) vulnerability exists in the “Static Sites” feature of 66biolinks v44.0.0 by AltumCode. Uploaded ZIP archives are automatically extracted without validating or sanitizing file paths. An attacker can include traversal sequences (e.g., ../) in ZIP entries to write files outside the intended extraction directory. This allows static files (html, js, css, images) file write to unintended locations, or overwriting existing HTML files, potentially leading to content defacement and, in certain deployments, further impact if sensitive files are overwritten.

Prior to 2.2.3 and 1.7.16, the API endpoint for listing Predefined Properties in the Pimcore platform lacks adequate server-side authorization checks. Prior to 12.3.1 and 11.5.14, the application fails to enforce proper server-side authorization checks on the API endpoint responsible for reading or listing static routes. In Pimcore, static routes are custom URL patterns defined via the backend interface or the var/config/staticroutes.php file, including details like regex-based patterns, controllers, variables, and priorities. These routes are registered automatically through the PimcoreStaticRoutesBundle and integrated into the MVC routing system. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64: ftrace: fix module PLTs with mcount Li Huafei reports that mcount-based ftrace with module PLTs was broken by commit: a6253579977e4c6f ("arm64: ftrace: consistently handle PLTs.") When a module PLTs are used and a module is loaded sufficiently far away from the kernel, we'll create PLTs for any branches which are out-of-range. These are separate from the special ftrace trampoline PLTs, which the module PLT code doesn't directly manipulate. When mcount is in use this is a problem, as each mcount callsite in a module will be initialized to point to a module PLT, but since commit a6253579977e4c6f ftrace_make_nop() will assume that the callsite has been initialized to point to the special ftrace trampoline PLT, and ftrace_find_callable_addr() rejects other cases. This means that when ftrace tries to initialize a callsite via ftrace_make_nop(), the call to ftrace_find_callable_addr() will find that the `_mcount` stub is out-of-range and is not handled by the ftrace PLT, resulting in a splat: | ftrace_test: loading out-of-tree module taints kernel. | ftrace: no module PLT for _mcount | ------------[ ftrac

The WebAssembly Micro Runtime's (WAMR) iwasm package is the executable binary built with WAMR VMcore which supports WebAssembly System Interface (WASI) and command line interface. In versions 2.4.0 and below, iwasm uses --addr-pool with an IPv4 address that lacks a subnet mask, allowing the system to accept all IP addresses. This can unintentionally expose the service to all incoming connections and bypass intended access restrictions. Services relying on --addr-pool for restricting access by IP may unintentionally become open to all external connections. This may lead to unauthorized access in production deployments, especially when users assume that specifying an IP without a subnet mask implies a default secure configuration. This is fixed in version 2.4.1.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/proc: fix softlockup in __read_vmcore (part 2) Since commit 5cbcb62dddf5 ("fs/proc: fix softlockup in __read_vmcore") the number of softlockups in __read_vmcore at kdump time have gone down, but they still happen sometimes. In a memory constrained environment like the kdump image, a softlockup is not just a harmless message, but it can interfere with things like RCU freeing memory, causing the crashdump to get stuck. The second loop in __read_vmcore has a lot more opportunities for natural sleep points, like scheduling out while waiting for a data write to happen, but apparently that is not always enough. Add a cond_resched() to the second loop in __read_vmcore to (hopefully) get rid of the softlockups.

  • Jan 27, 2025Core creation allows users to replace "trusted" configset files with arbitrary configuration Solr instances that (1) use the "FileSystemConfigSetService" compoCVE-2025-24814 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 5.5

Core creation allows users to replace "trusted" configset files with arbitrary configuration Solr instances that (1) use the "FileSystemConfigSetService" component (the default in "standalone" or "user-managed" mode), and (2) are running without authentication and authorization are vulnerable to a sort of privilege escalation wherein individual "trusted" configset files can be ignored in favor of potentially-untrusted replacements available elsewhere on the filesystem.  These replacement config files are treated as "trusted" and can use "<lib>" tags to add to Solr's classpath, which an attacker might use to load malicious code as a searchComponent or other plugin. This issue affects all Apache Solr versions up through Solr 9.7.  Users can protect against the vulnerability by enabling authentication and authorization on their Solr clusters or switching to SolrCloud (and away from "FileSystemConfigSetService").  Users are also recommended to upgrade to Solr 9.8.0, which mitigates this issue by disabling use of "<lib>" tags by default.

Pimcore is an open source data and experience management platform. When a PortalUserObject is connected to a PimcoreUser and "Use Pimcore Backend Password" is set to true, the change password function in Portal Profile sets the new password. Prior to Pimcore portal engine versions 4.1.7 and 3.1.16, the password is then set without hashing so it can be read by everyone. Everyone who combines PortalUser to PimcoreUsers and change passwords via profile settings could be affected. Versions 4.1.7 and 3.1.16 of the Pimcore portal engine fix the issue.
