Jul 2, 2026WP Review Slider Pro: SQL InjectionCVE-2026-8441 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.5
The WP Review Slider Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'notinstring' parameter of the wprp_load_more_revs AJAX action in versions up to, and including, 12.7.2. The parameter is read via $_POST['notinstring'] and passed through sanitize_text_field() — which strips HTML and whitespace but does not provide SQL safety. The value is then concatenated directly into a numeric/unquoted `AND id NOT IN (...)` clause and executed via $wpdb->get_results() without $wpdb->prepare() or intval() casting. Because the value sits in an unquoted numeric context, WordPress's wp_magic_quotes protection (which only escapes embedded quotes) is ineffective. The AJAX hook is registered via wp_ajax_nopriv_wprp_load_more_revs, and the required check_ajax_referer nonce is publicly available via wp_localize_script on any frontend page that renders the plugin shortcode, so an unauthenticated attacker who can reach a public page hosting the plugin can extract arbitrary data from the database via blind/time-based injection.

Jul 1, 2026Wp Google Places Review Slider: Reflected Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-13015 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.1
The Wp Google Places Review Slider plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'place' parameter in versions up to, and including, 18.1. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in admin/partials/googlecrawl_dfs.php, where the $_GET['place'] value is URL-decoded, stripslashes()'d, and echoed directly into an HTML value attribute with no esc_attr() call when the supplied place is not already a stored key in the wprev_google_crawls option. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a specially crafted link.

Jun 16, 2026WP Review Slider Pro: Arbitrary File DeletionCVE-2026-8442 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1
The WP Review Slider Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Deletion in versions up to and including 12.6.8. This is due to missing authorization checks on the wpfb_hide_review and wprp_save_review_admin AJAX handlers combined with insufficient path validation in the wpfb_hidereview_ajax() function, which uses strpos() to check that a stored media URL starts with the expected prefix but fails to sanitize path traversal sequences in the remaining relative path before passing it to unlink(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.

Jun 16, 2026WP Review Slider Pro: SQL InjectionCVE-2026-8444 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The WP Review Slider Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'curselrevs[]' parameter of the wpfb_find_reviews AJAX action in versions up to, and including, 12.6.8. This is due to the handler reading $_POST['curselrevs'] raw with no sanitization or type casting, then concatenating each array element directly into a `WHERE id IN ( ... )` clause without quoting and executing via $wpdb->get_results() without $wpdb->prepare(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.

Jun 16, 2026WP Review Slider Pro: SQL InjectionCVE-2026-8443 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The WP Review Slider Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'stypes' and 'slocations' parameters of the wppro_get_overall_chart_data AJAX action in versions up to, and including, 12.6.8. This is due to the use of stripslashes() on user-supplied JSON strings prior to json_decode(), which removes the escaping applied by WordPress's wp_magic_quotes; the resulting decoded array values are then concatenated directly into SQL WHERE clauses without parameterization, and the constructed query is executed via $wpdb->get_results() without $wpdb->prepare(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. The handler also returns the executed SQL string in its JSON response, which simplifies oracle construction for blind exploitation.

Jun 9, 2026Slider Revolution: Sensitive Information DisclosureCVE-2026-7542 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5
The Slider Revolution plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Disclosure in versions 7.0 to 7.0.10. This is due to three compounding design flaws: (1) the plugin leaks a valid backend AJAX nonce (revslider_actions) to all authenticated users including Subscribers via the admin_footer hook; (2) the wordpress.create.image_from_url action is explicitly allowlisted in the $user_allowed array, bypassing the administrator-only access control; (3) the create_wordpress_image_from_url() function accepts an attacker-controlled url parameter that is passed to import_media(), where path_or_url_exists() explicitly accepts local filesystem paths (file_exists() && is_readable()) with no restriction to remote HTTP/HTTPS URLs, and @copy() physically copies those files into the publicly accessible /wp-content/uploads/revslider/ai/ directory. The MIME type check trusts the attacker-supplied content_type parameter to derive the destination extension without verifying actual file content, and the source extension blacklist does not block many sensitive types (.sql, .log, .json, .bak, .xml, .csv, .conf, .yml, .yaml, .pem, .key, .crt, .txt, .db, etc.). The Ditty – Responsive News Tickers, Sliders, and Lists plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 3.1.65. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to retrieve the full item content of non-public Dittys — including drafts, pending, scheduled, and disabled entries — by enumerating integer post IDs against the ditty_init AJAX endpoint. Unlike the non-AJAX init() counterpart, init_ajax() does not verify that the requested Ditty has a 'publish' post status before loading and returning its items, allowing content that administrators explicitly withheld from public view to be extracted.

This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied shortcode attributes. Apr 8, 2026Prime Slider – Addons for Elementor: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-4341 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4
The Prime Slider – Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'follow_us_text' setting of the Mount widget in all versions up to, and including, 4.1.10. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. Specifically, the `render_social_link()` function in `modules/mount/widgets/mount.php` outputs the `follow_us_text` Elementor widget setting using `echo` without any escaping function. The setting value is stored in `_elementor_data` post meta via `update_post_meta`. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Apr 7, 2026Smart Slider 3: Unauthorized access and modification of dataCVE-2026-4065 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.4
The Smart Slider 3 plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access and modification of data due to missing capability checks on multiple wp_ajax_smart-slider3 controller actions in all versions up to, and including, 3.5.1.33. The display_admin_ajax() method does not call checkForCap() (which requires unfiltered_html capability), and several controller actions only validate the nonce (validateToken()) without calling validatePermission(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to enumerate slider metadata and create, modify, and delete image storage records by obtaining the nextend_nonce exposed on post editor pages.
