  • Oct 10, 2026Anti-Spam by CleanTalk – Spam Protection Without CAPTCHA: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-103424 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.4

The Anti-Spam by CleanTalk – Spam Protection Without CAPTCHA plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'comment' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 6.88 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This vulnerability is exploitable once a comment from the attacker's email address has been approved; on default WordPress installations, only the first comment from a given email address is held for moderation, meaning subsequent comments auto-approve and immediately expose the payload to site visitors.

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: cleanup arsta in ath11k_mac_peer_cleanup_all() When mac80211 removes a sta, CVE-2026-98307 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: cleanup arsta in ath11k_mac_peer_cleanup_all() When mac80211 removes a sta, it calls .sta_state() which in turn calls ath11k_mac_station_remove(). In that function we clean up both peers & arsta related resources. But when the firmware crashes, ath11k calls ieee80211_restart_hw(), which assumes that all driver related resources are cleaned up beforehand. This cleanup is supposedly done by ath11k_mac_peer_cleanup_all() but does not in fact free arsta->rx_stats / tx_stats. Extract the arsta cleanup from ath11k_mac_station_remove() into a new ath11k_mac_station_cleanup() and call it from both there and ath11k_mac_peer_cleanup_all(). • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: RFCOMM: avoid socket lock inversion in listener cleanup rfcomm_sock_cleanup_lisCVE-2026-98290 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: RFCOMM: avoid socket lock inversion in listener cleanup rfcomm_sock_cleanup_listen() closes unaccepted child sockets through rfcomm_sock_close(), which takes the child socket lock before rfcomm_dlc_close() acquires rfcomm_mutex. The RFCOMM worker takes these locks in reverse order while handling connections and DLC state changes, so lockdep reports a possible deadlock. Close dequeued children without taking their socket lock. The accept queue owns a reference to each child, and bt_accept_dequeue() locks the child while unlinking it and clearing its parent pointer. Dropping the child lock makes it important to prevent a concurrent rfcomm_connect_ind() from enqueueing a new child after cleanup observes an empty queue. Set a listening socket to BT_CLOSED while its lock is still held, before dropping the lock and draining the queue. The state check in rfcomm_connect_ind() then rejects new children once cleanup starts.

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: handle lack of space when cleaning up verity items When enable_verity() hits the qgCVE-2026-98279 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: handle lack of space when cleaning up verity items When enable_verity() hits the qgroup limit, rollback_verity() needs its own metadata reservation. When the qgroup limit or lack of space refuses the rollback, the whole filesystem is forced read-only even though the qgroup limit was for one subvolume only. Also orphan cleanup at the next mount fails the same way, so the leftover items are never removed: with -EDQUOT the subvolume stays unreachable, and with -ENOSPC on a full filesystem the next read-write mount fails. Start transactions with btrfs_start_transaction_fallback_global_rsv() in btrfs_orphan_cleanup(), drop_verity_items() and rollback_verity(). Those calls only delete items and free the space in the end, so they may use the global reserve and skip the qgroup limit, which avoids -ENOSPC and -EDQUOT.

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: exec: Cleanup POSIX timers right after de_thread() A per-thread CPU timer holds a referencCVE-2026-98260 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: exec: Cleanup POSIX timers right after de_thread() A per-thread CPU timer holds a reference to the PID of the thread it is attached to and, while it is armed, its node is queued in that thread's posix_cputimers. The task is looked up by that PID. When a non-leader thread exec()s, de_thread() changes which task owns that PID. pid_task(timer->it.cpu.pid, PIDTYPE_PID) then returns NULL, but the node is still queued on tsk, which is alive. timer_lock_sighand() takes a failed lookup to mean that the node is already dequeued, so it has nothing to undo. begin_new_exec() calls posix_cpu_timers_exit(me) right after exec_task_namespaces() and that removes the leftover node, so the state normally stays invisible. But bprm->point_of_no_return is set before de_thread(), so if unshare_files(), set_mm_exe_file(), exec_mmap() or exec_task_namespaces() fails, the task dies before it gets there. exit_itimers() then frees the k_itimer while its node is still queued, and reaping tsk later erases that freed node from the rbtree. In short: the non-leader thread B the parent timer_create(CLOCK_THREAD_CPUTIME_ID)

Capgo before 12.244.1 contains a cross-tenant integrity vulnerability in the metadata-cleaning worker that trusts image object keys from mutable database rows without validating ownership. An authenticated attacker can place a victim tenant's image key in a row they control, causing the service-role worker to download and re-upload that object with sanitized metadata. Attackers can silently modify metadata in cross-tenant image objects by supplying known victim keys during authorized row updates, bypassing storage access controls through the confused-deputy metadata worker.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme-rdma: fix -EIO cleanup order in queue_rq On -EIO, the RDMA queue_rq path reports a host path error and then still cleans up the command and unmaps the SQE DMA. The path error helper completes the request, so that is double cleanup and DMA unmap after the request is already complete. Unmap the SQE first, then report the host path error. Skip the outer command cleanup on that path.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: do not mark the volume clean in sync_fs when errors were recorded ntfs_put_super() and the remount-read-only path both clear the dirty bit only when NVolErrors(vol) is false. ntfs_sync_fs() clears it unconditionally, so any sync() on a volume that recorded an error marks that volume clean. A volume without this set is then seen as not needing recovery and it does not run one, so whatever went wrong is never repaired. This change skips resetting the dirty bit when there are volume errors. Reproduced on a volume whose $MFTMirr does not match $MFT, which sets the error flag while leaving the mount read-write: after a write and a sync, the on-disk volume flags read 0x0000 with this driver and 0x0001 with the guard in place.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: don't downgrade half-dead scalar zero spills to STACK_ZERO states.c:__clean_func_state() can downgrade scalar zero spill to STACK_ZERO in the following case: *(u64 *)(r10 - 8) = 0; ... checkpoint ... r1 = *(u32 *)(r10 - 4); ... no reads from r10-8 ... Here 4 bytes at r10-8 are dead and verifier changes scalar spill to a combination: 0000pppp (p stands for poison). Such a change breaks precision propagation chains. All places that produce STACK_ZERO should call bpf_mark_chain_precision() for the zero source. This patch fixes the bug in a simplest way possible: avoids converting stack spills of zero to STACK_ZERO. Two smarter approaches are possible: - do bpf_mark_chain_precision() from __clean_func_state() - check slot liveness information in check_stack_write_fixed_off() I investigated both and the changes required are a bit tricky, hence go with a simple fix for the time being.

  • Sep 24, 2026xhtml-purifier is a Node.js library to take in raw/unknown/untrusted HTML and output cleaned, purified, trusted HTML.CVE-2026-61784 · Other software · cstigler · reported by GitHubMedium 6.1

xhtml-purifier is a Node.js library to take in raw/unknown/untrusted HTML and output cleaned, purified, trusted HTML. Versions prior to 0.4.3 do not HTML-entity-encode attribute values when serializing its sanitized output. In attributeString() (XHTMLPurifier.js, around line 148) the attribute value is concatenated directly into a double-quoted attribute without encoding. As a result, an attacker-controlled value in any allowed attribute (class, style, title, alt, src, href) can include a double-quote character to break out of the attribute and inject an additional attribute, such as a JavaScript event handler (for example onmouseover or onerror). The injected handler survives sanitization and executes when the output is rendered, which is a sanitizer bypass leading to cross-site scripting. The fix in version 0.4.3 HTML-entity-encodes attribute values before serialization.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netconsole: take target_cleanup_list_lock in drop_netconsole_target() drop_netconsole_target() unlinks the target while only holding target_list_lock. However, when the underlying interface has been unregistered, netconsole_netdev_event() moves the target from target_list to target_cleanup_list, and netconsole_process_cleanups_core() walks that list under target_cleanup_list_lock only. If a user removes the configfs target at the same time the cleanup worker is iterating target_cleanup_list, list_del() can corrupt the list because the two paths take disjoint locks while operating on the same list node. Acquire target_cleanup_list_lock around the list_del() so the unlink is serialised against netconsole_process_cleanups_core() regardless of which list the target currently belongs to. The state transition that downgrades STATE_DEACTIVATED to STATE_DISABLED is left intact and is performed under the same combined locking, preserving the existing ordering with resume_target().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix reloc root cleanup in merge_reloc_roots() If the root we got has zero root refs in its root item, we are resetting the root's ->reloc_root without using barriers like we do everywhere else. Sashiko complained about this while reviewing another patch, and it's correct (see the Link tag below). Also, we should not clear BTRFS_ROOT_DEAD_RELOC_TREE from the root unless the root points to the reloc root we have. Fix this by using clear_reloc_root(), which issues the memory barrier after setting the root's ->reloc_root to NULL and before clearing the bit BTRFS_ROOT_DEAD_RELOC_TREE from the root.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: octeon: add missing tasklet_kill in cvm_oct_tx_shutdown The TX cleanup tasklet can be scheduled by the watchdog IRQ handler to execute cvm_oct_tx_do_cleanup. There can be a pending tasklet in the queue which might run after the cvm_oct_remove() frees net_device structures, causing a use-after-free in cvm_oct_tx_do_cleanup() as it iterates cvm_oct_device[] which is an array of netdevice pointers. Add tasklet_kill() after free_irq() to ensure the tasklet is no longer scheduled or running before teardown proceeds.
