Sep 18, 2026kcp is a Kubernetes-like control plane for form-factors and use-cases beyond Kubernetes and container workloads.CVE-2026-61682 · Other software · kcp-dev · reported by GitHubCritical 9.9
kcp is a Kubernetes-like control plane for form-factors and use-cases beyond Kubernetes and container workloads. Prior to 0.31.4 and 0.32.2, the kcp front-proxy does not remove inbound X-Remote-User, X-Remote-Group, or X-Remote-Extra-* identity headers before forwarding requests to shards. Any authenticated tenant can inject X-Remote-Group: system:masters, authorization.kcp.io/warrant, authentication.kcp.io/scopes, or a group used for per-workspace required-group gating, and the shard trusts these values as authenticated identity assertions. This allows cross-workspace impersonation, authorization bypass, and arbitrary reading, writing, or deletion of resources, secrets, RBAC data, APIExports, APIBindings, and LogicalClusters. This issue is fixed in versions 0.31.4 and 0.32.2.

Sep 18, 2026A flaw was found in the multicluster-observability-addon.CVE-2026-93685 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.4
A flaw was found in the multicluster-observability-addon. A remote attacker can access a debug endpoint without authentication, due to a misconfiguration in the underlying addon-framework library. This allows for the disclosure of sensitive operational information, such as goroutine, heap, and command-line details, after completing a basic encrypted connection. This vulnerability does not enable direct remote code execution.

Sep 17, 2026MKP is a Model Context Protocol server for Kubernetes.CVE-2026-50125 · Other software · StacklokLabs · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
MKP is a Model Context Protocol server for Kubernetes. Prior to 0.4.1, cmd/server/main.go exposes the default HTTP endpoint and pkg/mcp/server.go registers the unauthenticated get_resource tool, which accepts attacker-controlled limitBytes and tailLines values for the pods logs subresource. buildPodLogOpts() in pkg/k8s/subresource.go parses those values as unbounded int64 parameters, and defaultGetPodLogs() copies the returned Kubernetes log stream through io.Copy into an in-memory bytes.Buffer without an application-side cap. A remote attacker who can reach the default port 8080 MCP endpoint and select a pod with sufficiently large accumulated logs can send one tools/call request that causes large allocations and additional response copies, while the request-frequency limiter does not constrain per-request volume. This can exhaust process memory, terminate the MKP server, and deny the MCP service; observed testing showed more than one GiB of RSS growth while handling a 128 MiB requested stream. This issue is fixed in version 0.4.1.

Sep 17, 2026Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud.CVE-2026-45726 · Other software · siderolabs · reported by GitHubHigh 7.6
Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud. From 1.3.0 until 1.6.6 and 1.7.3, importing a standalone Talos cluster creates an ImportedClusterSecrets resource containing the cluster's complete CA secrets bundle. The access rules in internal/backend/runtime/omni/state_access.go allow an authenticated user with the Reader role to retrieve the resource through ResourceService if the importing actor has not rotated those secrets, exposing Kubernetes, Talos, and etcd CA private keys plus the service-account key. The Kubernetes CA private key permits certificate signing for privileged identities such as system:masters and provides control of the imported cluster outside Omni's authorization boundary, including its workloads, credentials, and secrets. This issue is fixed in versions 1.6.6 and 1.7.3.

Sep 17, 2026Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud.CVE-2026-45723 · Other software · siderolabs · reported by GitHubLow 2.7
Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud. Prior to 1.6.6 and 1.7.3, managementServer.CreateSchematic in internal/backend/grpc/schematics.go passes the caller-controlled TalosVersion field to imageFactoryClient.OverlaysVersions without validating it as a version. An authenticated Operator can submit traversal segments in TalosVersion, and url.URL.JoinPath normalizes them into unintended paths on the configured image-factory host. Omni then issues HTTP GET requests to those paths and reflects error-body content, enabling same-host endpoint probing and possible disclosure of internal diagnostics while preventing redirection to another host or write requests. This issue is fixed in versions 1.6.6 and 1.7.3.

Sep 17, 2026Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud.CVE-2026-45720 · Other software · siderolabs · reported by GitHubHigh 7
Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud. Prior to 1.6.6 and from 1.7.0 until 1.7.3, SAML.getSession in internal/pkg/auth/interceptor/saml.go checks SAMLAssertion.Used and marks it used in separate state operations. Concurrent requests carrying the same captured saml-session token can each observe the assertion as unused and obtain authentication as the victim before either update is visible. The attacker can invoke SAML-protected gRPC endpoints, use ConfirmPublicKey to create multiple persistent credentials tied to the victim, and generate audit entries attributed to the victim, with the resulting access potentially affecting confidentiality, integrity, and availability according to the victim's privileges. This issue is fixed in versions 1.6.6 and 1.7.3.

Sep 16, 2026A flaw was found in flightctl.CVE-2026-92615 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.6
A flaw was found in flightctl. The configureRepoHTTPSClient() function in the device-render worker builds a per-repository tls.Config (which may include InsecureSkipVerify, a custom CA bundle, or tenant-supplied mTLS client certificates) and installs it into go-git's process-global client.Protocols map via gitclient.InstallProtocol("https", ...). Because the worker renders devices for multiple organizations concurrently from a shared goroutine pool, whichever tenant's repository configuration is written last wins for all in-flight git.Clone calls. This race condition can cause one tenant's TLS settings, including InsecureSkipVerify or mTLS client credentials, to leak into another tenant's git operations.

Sep 15, 2026Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes or OpenShift in various deployment configurations.CVE-2026-55226 · Other software · strimzi · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4
Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes or OpenShift in various deployment configurations. In Strimzi 1.0.0 and earlier, deploying only the Topic Operator or only the User Operator through the Kafka custom resource leaves the Entity Operator ServiceAccount with RBAC permissions for both components. The excess permissions can allow access to KafkaUser custom resources and Secrets when the User Operator is absent, or access to KafkaTopic custom resources when the Topic Operator is absent. Sep 15, 2026Inspektor Gadget is a set of tools and framework for data collection and system inspection on Kubernetes clusters and Linux hosts using eBPF.CVE-2026-53941 · Other software · inspektor-gadget · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9
Inspektor Gadget is a set of tools and framework for data collection and system inspection on Kubernetes clusters and Linux hosts using eBPF. From 0.27.0 until 0.53.1, the uprobe library resolver can allow an unprivileged container to consume excessive CPU and block other containers from starting by supplying a crafted /etc/ld.so.cache file while an uprobe-based gadget is active. The parser in pkg/uprobetracer/ldcache_parser.go trusts EntryCount enough to perform excessive iteration, computes cache1Len with overflowing uint32 arithmetic, and repeatedly calls readStringFromBytes in pkg/uprobetracer/bytes.go, where byte-by-byte immutable string concatenation produces quadratic work. While this processing occurs, pkg/container-hook holds the fanotify container-start pause, allowing a crafted cache to delay startup for roughly a minute, prevent Docker from starting other containers, and degrade monitoring. Processing caches from already-running containers can still consume CPU but does not hold the new-container startup pause, and the advisory establishes no confidentiality or integrity impact. This issue is fixed in version 0.53.1.

Sep 15, 2026OpenCost provides cost monitoring for Kubernetes workloads and cloud costs.CVE-2026-44300 · Other software · opencost · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
OpenCost provides cost monitoring for Kubernetes workloads and cloud costs. Prior to 1.121.0, the POST /serviceKey endpoint in pkg/costmodel/router.go allows a network client to invoke AddServiceKey without mandatory authentication and submit an arbitrary key form value that is written to the GCP service-account key.json file returned by GetGCPAuthSecretFilePath in core/pkg/env/core.go. The attacker controls the file contents but not the CONFIG_PATH-derived directory, the key.json filename, or the file mode. Replacing the credential contents can disrupt GCP cost collection or cause OpenCost to use attacker-selected credentials, and the wildcard Access-Control-Allow-Origin response permits browser-assisted requests when the service is reachable from a browser. This issue is fixed in version 1.121.0.

Inspektor Gadget is a set of tools and framework for data collection and system inspection on Kubernetes clusters and Linux hosts using eBPF. From 0.28.0 until 0.53.1, the USDT note parser in pkg/uprobetracer/usdt.go can allow an unprivileged container to crash or exhaust the memory of the privileged Inspektor Gadget process when a custom gadget containing a SEC("usdt/...") eBPF section attaches to a crafted ELF binary. The getUsdtInfo() function reads the .note.stapsdt section without validating that DescSize is large enough for three address fields, allowing an out-of-bounds slice operation to panic, and it uses untrusted NameSize and DescSize values for allocations that can consume gigabytes of memory. The parser also invokes debug/elf without panic recovery, allowing other malformed ELF structures to terminate the process. No gadget shipped by Inspektor Gadget uses USDT probes, so only deployments using custom USDT gadgets are affected, and the demonstrated impact is denial of service rather than code execution or privilege escalation. This issue is fixed in version 0.53.1.

Sep 15, 2026Capsule is a multi-tenancy and policy-based framework for Kubernetes.CVE-2026-55636 · Other software · projectcapsule · reported by GitHubMedium 5.7
Capsule is a multi-tenancy and policy-based framework for Kubernetes. From 0.13.0 until 0.13.6, charts/capsule/templates/configuration.yaml configures the validating webhook with namespace/finalize instead of the Kubernetes resource name namespaces/finalize. A user with namespaces/finalize RBAC can send a PUT request to /api/v1/namespaces/{namespace}/finalize, and the singular rule never matches the plural resource, so the validating webhook is not invoked and the user can change the namespace tenant label. matchPolicy: Equivalent does not compensate because it handles API group and version equivalence rather than resource-name errors. Sep 15, 2026Kuma is a modern Envoy-based service mesh that can run on every cloud across both Kubernetes and VMs.CVE-2026-52724 · Other software · kumahq · reported by GitHubMedium 5.8
Kuma is a modern Envoy-based service mesh that can run on every cloud across both Kubernetes and VMs. Prior to 2.7.26, 2.9.16, 2.11.14, 2.12.11, and 2.13.7, Universal mode kuma-dp connections to an HTTPS control plane disable TLS peer verification when --ca-cert-file is not supplied and KUMA_CONTROL_PLANE_CA_CERT is unset. The dataplane authentication token is sent over the unverified connection, allowing an on-path attacker to intercept the token, impersonate the control plane, inject a forged bootstrap configuration, and take over the proxy. Standard Kubernetes installations created by kumactl install control-plane or the official Helm chart are unaffected because the mutating admission webhook injects KUMA_CONTROL_PLANE_CA_CERT into each sidecar. This issue is fixed in versions 2.7.26, 2.9.16, 2.11.14, 2.12.11, and 2.13.7.

Sep 14, 2026Envoy Gateway is an open source project for managing Envoy Proxy as a standalone or Kubernetes-based application gateway.CVE-2026-53719 · Other software · envoyproxy · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
Envoy Gateway is an open source project for managing Envoy Proxy as a standalone or Kubernetes-based application gateway. Prior to 1.7.4 and 1.8.1, translateSecurityPolicyForRoute in internal/gatewayapi/securitypolicy.go dereferences a nil authorization value when a namespace-scoped tenant creates a SecurityPolicy targeting a TCPRoute and omits spec.authorization. The persistent object triggers the panic on every reconcile; recovery in message/watchutil.go keeps the process alive but unwinds the runner/runner.go handle callback, stalling controller-wide xDS and infrastructure intermediate-representation publishing until an administrator deletes the object. Sep 14, 2026Envoy Gateway is an open source project for managing Envoy Proxy as a standalone or Kubernetes-based application gateway.CVE-2026-53718 · Other software · envoyproxy · reported by GitHubMedium 6.4
Envoy Gateway is an open source project for managing Envoy Proxy as a standalone or Kubernetes-based application gateway. Prior to 1.7.4 and 1.8.1, an HTTPRoute can use an extension-managed custom backendRef to reference a backend resource in another namespace without a matching Gateway API ReferenceGrant in the target namespace. The custom-backend branch in internal/gatewayapi/route.go omits validateBackendNamespace, allowing the route-owning namespace to bind to and use the resource without the backend namespace owner's consent and violating the Gateway API cross-namespace authorization model. Sep 14, 2026Envoy Gateway is an open source project for managing Envoy Proxy as a standalone or Kubernetes-based application gateway.CVE-2026-53716 · Other software · envoyproxy · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
Envoy Gateway is an open source project for managing Envoy Proxy as a standalone or Kubernetes-based application gateway. Prior to 1.7.4 and 1.8.1, getFileFromGZ in internal/wasm/httpfetcher.go calls io.ReadAll on a gzip.Reader without limiting decompressed output when a tenant-controlled EnvoyExtensionPolicy.spec.wasm[].code.http.url points to a reachable compressed Wasm payload. The 256 MiB compressed-input cap does not constrain the expanded size, no operator Wasm URL allowlist exists, and the optional sha256 check occurs only after decompression, so a comparatively small gzip stream can force a multi-gigabyte allocation in the shared controller. The resulting out-of-memory termination restarts the controller, re-reconciles the persistent custom resource, and can create a persistent cross-tenant control-plane outage. Sep 14, 2026Envoy Gateway is an open source project for managing Envoy Proxy as a standalone or Kubernetes-based application gateway.CVE-2026-53715 · Other software · envoyproxy · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
Envoy Gateway is an open source project for managing Envoy Proxy as a standalone or Kubernetes-based application gateway. Prior to 1.7.4 and 1.8.1, HTTPServer.ServeHTTP in internal/wasm/httpserver.go reads the plain mappingPath2Cache map without synchronization while HTTPServer.Get writes the same map during EnvoyExtensionPolicy translation. An attacker with pod-network access to unauthenticated port 18002 and tenant permission to churn policies with distinct Wasm URLs can flood GET requests until a per-request reader overlaps a writer. Go's concurrent map read and write detection invokes runtime.throw, which the net/http connection recovery cannot catch, terminating the controller process and causing a timing-dependent, cross-tenant control-plane denial of service until Kubernetes restarts the pod. This issue is fixed in versions 1.7.4 and 1.8.1.

Sep 14, 2026Envoy Gateway is an open source project for managing Envoy Proxy as a standalone or Kubernetes-based application gateway.CVE-2026-53714 · Other software · envoyproxy · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4
Envoy Gateway is an open source project for managing Envoy Proxy as a standalone or Kubernetes-based application gateway. Prior to 1.7.4 and 1.8.1, the xDS gRPC server in GatewayNamespaceMode, configured through provider.kubernetes.deploy.type=GatewayNamespace, installs a JWT StreamInterceptor but no UnaryInterceptor, leaving every unary Fetch RPC unauthenticated. The streaming interceptor also authenticates only discoveryv3.DeltaDiscoveryRequest messages; a discoveryv3.DiscoveryRequest used by the State-of-the-World protocol fails the type assertion and returns success without JWT validation. Any pod that can reach port 18000 can use the unauthenticated unary or State-of-the-World paths to retrieve TLS private keys through StreamSecrets, all xDS resources through StreamAggregatedResources, backend endpoints through StreamClusters or StreamEndpoints, and routing configuration through StreamRoutes or StreamListeners. Sep 14, 2026Envoy Gateway is an open source project for managing Envoy Proxy as a standalone or Kubernetes-based application gateway.CVE-2026-53713 · Other software · envoyproxy · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1
Envoy Gateway is an open source project for managing Envoy Proxy as a standalone or Kubernetes-based application gateway. Prior to 1.7.4 and 1.8.1, to_absolute_normalized_path in internal/gatewayapi/luavalidator/security.lua does not collapse redundant separators before is_critical_path evaluates Lua submitted through EnvoyExtensionPolicy during default Strict validation. Linux resolves a double-slash absolute path as the corresponding single-slash path, but the validator does not match the redundant-separator form, allowing submitted Lua to read arbitrary files from the gateway controller pod. Exposed files can include Kubernetes service-account tokens, TLS certificates, and process environment data, and the disclosed credentials can provide access to sensitive Kubernetes API Server or Gateway xDS server information. Sep 14, 2026Envoy Gateway is an open source project for managing Envoy Proxy as a standalone or Kubernetes-based application gateway.CVE-2026-53717 · Other software · envoyproxy · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
Envoy Gateway is an open source project for managing Envoy Proxy as a standalone or Kubernetes-based application gateway. Prior to 1.7.4 and 1.8.1, internal/wasm/imagefetcher.go follows tenant-controlled EnvoyExtensionPolicy spec.wasm[].code.image.url values to Docker or OCI Wasm layers, and extractWasmPluginBinary uses the untrusted tar-header h.Size value to allocate memory before validating the entry name or declared size. A small PAX or GNU tar header can therefore claim a multi-terabyte entry even though the surrounding LimitReader restricts only the bytes read from the stream, and no registry allowlist prevents a permitted tenant from selecting an attacker-controlled registry that the controller can reach. The allocation is attempted for every tar entry and can cause an unrecoverable Go runtime out-of-memory failure; because the custom resource persists, reconciliation repeatedly crash-loops the shared controller and causes a single-request, non-volumetric, cluster-wide control-plane denial of service. This issue is fixed in versions 1.7.4 and 1.8.1.

Sep 14, 2026The OpenTelemetry Operator is a Kubernetes Operator for the OpenTelemetry Collector.CVE-2026-47701 · Other software · open-telemetry · reported by GitHubHigh 7.7
The OpenTelemetry Operator is a Kubernetes Operator for the OpenTelemetry Collector. Prior to 0.152.0, cmd/otel-allocator TargetAllocator instances with targetAllocator.prometheusCR.enabled set to true preserve a selected ServiceMonitor endpoint's bearerTokenFile value as HTTPClientConfig.Authorization.CredentialsFile. A tenant who can create or update a ServiceMonitor matched by serviceMonitorSelector and serviceMonitorNamespaceSelector can point bearerTokenFile at a file in the Collector pod, including /var/run/secrets/kubernetes.io/serviceaccount/token, and direct scraping to a tenant-controlled endpoint. The Collector reads that file at scrape time and sends its contents as bearer authorization on every scrape interval. Exploitation also requires the Collector service-account token or another sensitive file to be mounted and the Collector to reach the chosen target. The DenyFSAccessThroughSMs control was absent, allowing disclosure of the Collector's service-account JWT or other mounted files, and resulting Kubernetes API impact is limited by the Collector service account's permissions. The source-controller is a Kubernetes operator, specialised in artifacts acquisition from external sources such as Git, OCI, Helm repositories and S3-compatible buckets. In versions 0.0.17 through 1.8.4, an actor with the ability to influence the contents of a bucket referenced by a `Bucket` resource can cause source-controller to write fetched object data to paths outside the per-reconciliation working directory. The corruption surface is bounded by source-controller's own and downstream Flux controllers' digest verification: source-controller verifies stored artifact digests during reconciliation and rebuilds on divergence; consumers (kustomize-controller, helm-controller) verify the digest of fetched artifacts and reject mismatches. These checks prevent a manipulated artifact from reaching the cluster, but an attacker can still write files anywhere the source-controller pod has permission to write. Separately, a user with permission to create or update `GitRepository` resources can cause source-controller to test for the existence of paths outside the cloned repository. Because the result is exposed via the resource's status, this allows limited enumeration of file paths on the

Sep 4, 2026Traefik versions >= v3.7.0 and <= v3.7.10 contain an authentication bypass in the Kubernetes Ingress NGINX provider.CVE-2026-85596 · Other software · traefik · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.2
Traefik versions >= v3.7.0 and <= v3.7.10 contain an authentication bypass in the Kubernetes Ingress NGINX provider. The TLS option generated for an Ingress carrying the nginx.ingress.kubernetes.io/auth-tls-secret annotation was named after the Ingress namespace and name. As a result, two Ingress objects sharing the same host, the same client CA secret, and the same client-authentication mode produced two distinct TLS option names for that host. Traefik treats this as a TLS options conflict and falls back to the entry point's default TLS configuration, which does not request a client certificate, so a route configured with nginx.ingress.kubernetes.io/auth-tls-verify-client: "on" becomes reachable without a client certificate. Only the v3.7 line is affected; the issue is fixed in v3.7.11.

Sep 2, 2026A flaw was found in submariner.CVE-2026-66786 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatCritical 9.1
A flaw was found in submariner. In cert-auth mode, the connection configuration is built using free-form strings from the Custom Resource Definition (CRD) without proper validation. A malicious cluster can exploit this by publishing a CableName that includes newlines and ipsec.conf directives. This allows an attacker to inject arbitrary configuration parameters or execute commands through leftupdown hooks, leading to remote code execution as root on the gateway node.

Aug 26, 2026KubePi is a Kubernetes multi-cluster management panel.CVE-2026-69129 · Other software · 1Panel-dev · reported by GitHubMedium 5.8
KubePi is a Kubernetes multi-cluster management panel. In versions up to and including 2.0.0, cluster-scoped APIs do not consistently validate per-cluster access, allowing an authenticated user with cluster management permissions to operate on clusters outside the scope they were granted. Because the affected endpoints act on cluster-specific data without confirming that the requesting user is authorized for that particular cluster, a user assigned management rights over one cluster can, under certain role and cluster configurations, read or modify data in clusters they should not manage. This issue is fixed in version 2.0.1.

Aug 26, 2026KubePi is a Kubernetes multi-cluster management panel.CVE-2026-65956 · Other software · 1Panel-dev · reported by GitHubCritical 10
KubePi is a Kubernetes multi-cluster management panel. In versions up to and including 1.6.15, the SSO configuration API endpoints are exposed on the same public routing boundary as the SSO login and callback endpoints, so SSO, OIDC, and SAML management operations can be reached without administrator authorization. Because reading, creating, and updating the global SSO configuration is not restricted to administrators, an unauthorized or low-privileged user can inspect or alter the authentication configuration, which under certain conditions can lead to account takeover or privilege escalation. The SSO connectivity-test function can additionally be abused as a server-side request forgery primitive, and the user list API returns user objects without consistently clearing authentication-related fields. This issue is fixed in version 2.0.0.

Aug 21, 2026Kite is a Kubernetes dashboard.CVE-2026-53487 · Other software · kite-org · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3
Kite is a Kubernetes dashboard. Prior to version 0.12.3, authenticated Kite users with any role can request `/api/v1/overview` for a cluster that their roles do not permit by selecting that cluster with `x-cluster-name`. The overview route is registered before `middleware.RBACMiddleware()` and `GetOverview` only checks `len(user.Roles) > 0`, so it returns aggregate Kubernetes inventory and capacity data from unauthorized clusters. Version 0.12.3 fixes the issue.

Aug 21, 2026KEDA is a Kubernetes-based Event Driven Autoscaling component.CVE-2026-53572 · Other software · kedacore · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9
KEDA is a Kubernetes-based Event Driven Autoscaling component. Prior to 2.20.0, pkg/scalers/postgresql_scaler.go constructs libpq-style connection strings from tenant-controlled host, port, userName, dbName, sslmode, and password values, while escapePostgreConnectionParameter() only quotes values containing a literal space. Tabs, newlines, carriage returns, form feeds, vertical tabs, quotes, and backslashes can therefore create additional key-value tokens when pgx parses the string. An attacker able to create or modify a TriggerAuthentication or ScaledObject can inject host or sslmode parameters, redirect the database connection to an attacker-controlled server, expose credentials, or disable intended TLS protection. This issue is fixed in version 2.20.0.

Aug 20, 2026CloudNativePG is a platform designed to manage PostgreSQL databases within Kubernetes environments.CVE-2026-55769 · Other software · cloudnative-pg · reported by GitHubCritical 9.4
CloudNativePG is a platform designed to manage PostgreSQL databases within Kubernetes environments. Prior to 1.28.4 and 1.29.2, CloudNativePG opened superuser connections without pinning search_path in fillDefaultParameters in pkg/management/postgres/pool/profiles.go. A role holding DATABASE OWNER could create overloaded built-in operators in the public schema and change the database or role search_path, causing instance-manager introspection queries such as SELECT COUNT(*) > 0 FROM pg_catalog.pg_extension WHERE extname = $1 to execute attacker-controlled functions as the postgres superuser. The same trust issue affected direct sql.Open("pgx", ...) callsites and the public.user_search SECURITY DEFINER function, enabling PostgreSQL superuser access, operating system command execution through COPY ... FROM PROGRAM, and access to the pod ServiceAccount token. This issue is fixed in versions 1.28.4, 1.29.2, and 1.30.0.

Aug 20, 2026CloudNativePG is a platform designed to manage PostgreSQL databases within Kubernetes environments.CVE-2026-55765 · Other software · cloudnative-pg · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5
CloudNativePG is a platform designed to manage PostgreSQL databases within Kubernetes environments. Prior to 1.28.4 and 1.29.2, CloudNativePG embedded cleartext role passwords in `ALTER ROLE` and `CREATE ROLE` statements generated by SetUserPassword in pkg/management/postgres/utils/roles.go and appendPasswordOption in internal/management/controller/roles/postgres.go. When pg_stat_statements was preloaded with track_utility enabled and an untrusted tenant held pg_monitor or pg_read_all_stats, the tenant could recover platform-managed superuser or application-owner passwords, reconnect through enabled superuser TCP access, and execute operating system commands in the database pod with `COPY ... FROM PROGRAM`. Clusters using SCRAM-SHA-256 verifiers in managed-role Secrets were not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 1.28.4, 1.29.2, and 1.30.0.

Aug 20, 2026A flaw was found in the multicloud-operators-subscription component of Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (RHACM).CVE-2026-73137 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.7
A flaw was found in the multicloud-operators-subscription component of Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (RHACM). A tenant with HelmRelease create permissions can exploit this vulnerability by manipulating the `secretRef.Namespace` field. This allows the `GetSecret()` function in the HelmRelease controller to fetch sensitive credentials from any namespace, which are then sent to an attacker-controlled Helm repository. This can lead to the exfiltration of credentials from arbitrary namespace Secrets, resulting in information disclosure.

Aug 20, 2026A flaw was found in Lighthouse.CVE-2026-66788 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatCritical 9.9
A flaw was found in Lighthouse. A remote attacker, by compromising a spoke cluster, can exploit a vulnerability where the destination namespace for resource injection is derived from an attacker-controlled label or annotation on the broker object. This allows the attacker to inject unauthorized EndpointSlices and ServiceImports into any namespace on peer clusters, including critical system namespaces like kube-system and openshift-*. This could lead to privilege escalation or other forms of system compromise within the cluster.

Aug 20, 2026A flaw was found in the lighthouse component of Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes.CVE-2026-66787 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 8.7
A flaw was found in the lighthouse component of Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes. This vulnerability stems from insufficient validation of advertised IP addresses within EndpointSlice objects. A compromised spoke cluster can exploit this by creating EndpointSlices with attacker-controlled IP addresses, causing other clusters' lighthouse DNS to redirect legitimate service traffic to malicious endpoints. This enables a remote attacker to conduct transparent Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attacks on cross-cluster service communications, potentially leading to unauthorized information disclosure and data manipulation.

Aug 20, 2026A flaw was found in Submariner.CVE-2026-66785 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 8.7
A flaw was found in Submariner. This vulnerability allows a malicious cluster (spoke) to redirect network traffic from other connected clusters (peer clusters) by publishing a specially crafted network endpoint. The system fails to properly validate the network subnets provided by the malicious cluster, enabling it to declare arbitrary network ranges. Consequently, all network traffic intended for these arbitrary ranges from peer clusters will be rerouted through the attacker's tunnel, potentially leading to unauthorized information disclosure or network disruption.
