  • Oct 3, 2026Alt Text AI – Automatically generate image alt text for SEO and accessibility: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-91108 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3

The Alt Text AI – Automatically generate image alt text for SEO and accessibility plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 1.10.41. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to overwrite the post_content of any post or page on the site — including content they do not own — with LLM-generated text influenced by attacker-controlled keywords, enabling black-hat SEO manipulation and unauthorized consumption of the site owner's paid AltText.ai API credits. The nonce required to invoke the action is emitted on every admin page including /wp-admin/profile.php, which is accessible to Subscribers, making the nonce trivially obtainable by any authenticated user.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: libipw: fix key index receive bound checks libipw_rx() reads skb->data[hdrlen + 3] to extract the WEP key index in both the software-decrypt key selection path and the hardware-decrypted IV/ICV strip path. In both places the existing guard only checks skb->len >= hdrlen + 3, which proves bytes up to hdrlen + 2 but not the byte at hdrlen + 3. Require hdrlen + 4 bytes before reading that item in both paths. This is a local source-boundary check only; it does not change the key index semantics.

Dark Reader is an accessibility browser extension that makes web pages colors dark. Prior to 4.9.126, a website can cause the browser extension's image inversion pipeline to request an unauthenticated icon-like bitmap from a locally running web server when the resource uses a known public-like HTTPS URL and is detected as requiring inversion. • Sep 17, 2026Speakr is a personal, self-hosted web application designed for transcribing audio recordings.CVE-2026-54510 · Other software · murtaza-nasir · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

Speakr is a personal, self-hosted web application designed for transcribing audio recordings. Prior to 0.8.21-alpha, the csrf_exempt_for_api_tokens() before_request hook in src/app.py calls csrf.exempt(view_func), permanently adding the selected view to Flask-WTF's process-global exemption set. The is_token_authenticated() function in src/utils/token_auth.py calls extract_token_from_request() and treats any present token, including request.args.get('token'), as authenticated without hashing the token, querying the database, or checking validity. A network-reachable attacker can therefore send a false token to disable CSRF protection for the targeted view for the worker lifetime. Because the exemption applies to the view function across HTTP methods, a cross-origin GET to /account with a query token can poison CSRF state for a later state-changing POST without triggering CORS preflight. This browser sequence requires attacker-controlled content on a sibling subdomain under the documented cookie conditions. The bypass can modify profile data, custom prompts, transcription settings, preferences, and administrative status through routes such as admin_toggle_admin. The change_password r

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i3c: master: svc: bound IBI payload to the requested max_payload_len svc_i3c_master_handleCVE-2026-80951 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i3c: master: svc: bound IBI payload to the requested max_payload_len svc_i3c_master_handle_ibi() reads the IBI payload from the RX FIFO into the IBI slot. The loop is bounded by the hardware FIFO size (SVC_I3C_FIFO_SIZE), not by the slot size. slot->data points into the IBI pool, which i3c_generic_ibi_alloc_pool() sizes at max_payload_len per slot. svc_i3c_master_request_ibi() only rejects a max_payload_len larger than SVC_I3C_FIFO_SIZE, so a driver can request a smaller one. mctp-i3c requests 1. Each readsb() then copies the controller RXCOUNT bytes (up to 31) with no check against the slot size. A device that sends more bytes than the slot holds writes past slot->data, an out-of-bounds write into the IBI pool. Bound the loop by dev->ibi->max_payload_len and clamp each read to the space left in the slot, the same way dw-i3c does. A device can still send more than the requested payload. Flush the leftover bytes from the RX FIFO so they do not leak into the next transfer.

  • Sep 7, 2026Affected versions of MISP expose organisation metadata through the dashboard organisation picker without applying the same visibility restrictions enforced by tCVE-2026-86418 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Low 2.3

Affected versions of MISP expose organisation metadata through the dashboard organisation picker without applying the same visibility restrictions enforced by the normal organisation index and per-organisation view. The affected endpoint returned fields including:  - organisation ID;  - UUID;  - name. When Security.hide_organisation_index_from_users was enabled, normal organisation enumeration was restricted, but the dashboard picker still queried all organisations. This allowed authenticated users to discover organisations that should have remained hidden from them. The fix calls Organisation::createConditions($this->Auth->user()) and appends the resulting ACL conditions to the picker query. Ordinary users are thereby limited to organisations associated with events or proposals they can already see, plus their own organisation, while users with the appropriate sharing-group privilege retain broader visibility. Affected versions of MISP inconsistently enforced email-address visibility in DashboardsController::listTemplates(). The query always fetched User.email, while redaction happened only inside the non-REST rendering branch. As a result, the same authenticated user who saw redacted data in the normal HTML interface could request the REST/JSON representation and receive template owners’ email addresses without the intended privilege check. The fix moves the decision to a centralized User::canSeeEmails() authorization helper. Email addresses are now fetched only when the requester is a site administrator or the instance explicitly enables Security.disclose_user_emails. The same helper is also reused by other dashboard widgets to keep email-disclosure policy consistent. Version affected: ≤2.5.45

Affected versions of MISP do not enforce parent-event visibility when serving cryptographic keys through CryptographicKeysController::view(). The vulnerable handler queried CryptographicKey directly using the supplied key ID and selected sensitive fields such as: * type * key_data * fingerprint but did not fetch or authorize the associated parent event first. The upstream commit explicitly states that cryptographicKeys/view could return a protected event’s signing key to any authenticated user. The fix adds parent_id and parent_type to the lookup and then enforces authorization through the associated event using fetchSimpleEvent($user, parent_id). If the parent is not an Event, access is limited to site administrators. Version affected: ≤2.5.45

Because sys_slist_get() and sys_slist_append() are neither atomic nor interrupt-safe, an IBI interrupt that fires while the workqueue thread is mid-append (or a truly parallel access under CONFIG_SMP) races on the shared list. This corrupts the list linkage: a node may be handed to two consumers, a node may be lost, or the head/tail pointers may be left inconsistent so sys_slist_get() returns a stale or garbage pointer. In the double-hand-out case the subsequent memcpy(ibi_node, ibi_work, sizeof(*ibi_node)) overwrites a node still in flight; a garbage pointer turns the same memcpy into an out-of-bounds write.

The frontend company self-service editing feature relies on a template-level visibility flag to hide the edit form for company records a visitor does not own, but the corresponding write operation does not repeat this ownership check on the server side. As a result, a visitor who knows the identifier of a company record from the public directory can submit a modified update request for that record directly and overwrite its data, without the application ever confirming that the visitor owns it.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: libiscsi: Fix stale-data leak into the SCSI sense buffer iscsi_scsi_cmd_rsp() copies the sense data of a SCSI Response from the target-supplied data segment. The segment carries a 2-byte sense length followed by the sense bytes, so it must hold 2 + senselen bytes, but the bounds check only requires datalen >= senselen: senselen = get_unaligned_be16(data); if (datalen < senselen) goto invalid_datalen; memcpy(sc->sense_buffer, data + 2, min_t(uint16_t, senselen, SCSI_SENSE_BUFFERSIZE)); A target that returns a SCSI Response whose datalen equals senselen (with senselen <= SCSI_SENSE_BUFFERSIZE) makes the memcpy() from data + 2 read up to two bytes past the received data. Those bytes are stale conn->data contents and end up in the command's sense buffer, which is returned to userspace. Account for the 2-byte sense length prefix in the check.

  • Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: libiscsi_tcp: Bound SCSI Response data segment to the connection buffer iscsi_tcp_hdCVE-2026-74556 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: libiscsi_tcp: Bound SCSI Response data segment to the connection buffer iscsi_tcp_hdr_dissect() receives the data segment of several PDU types into the fixed-size conn->data buffer, which is allocated for ISCSI_DEF_MAX_RECV_SEG_LEN (8192) bytes. For the LOGIN_RSP, TEXT_RSP, REJECT and ASYNC_EVENT opcodes the dissect path already rejects a PDU whose DataSegmentLength exceeds that buffer. The SCSI Command Response (ISCSI_OP_SCSI_CMD_RSP) path also copies its data segment (sense/response data) into conn->data via iscsi_tcp_data_recv_prep(), but it does so without the same check. The only upstream bound on in.datalen is conn->max_recv_dlength, the initiator's advertised MaxRecvDataSegmentLength, which is commonly negotiated well above 8192 (open-iscsi defaults to 262144). A target that returns a SCSI Response with a DataSegmentLength between 8193 and max_recv_dlength therefore overflows the 8192-byte conn->data buffer. Once the same bound applies, ISCSI_OP_SCSI_CMD_RSP is handled exactly like those responses: bound the data segment, receive it into conn->data when present, and otherwise complete the PDU wi

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: SVM: Update x2APIC MSR intercepts if AVIC is inhibited while L2 is active Always update x2APIC MSR intercepts for L1 when AVIC is deactivated, even if L2 is active and KVM is using a separate MSR bitmap to run L2. If AVIC is fully enabled prior to running L2, and is then inhibited while L2 is active (for a VM-scoped inhibit), then KVM will run L1 with AVIC disabled, but with x2APIC MSR intercepts disabled, i.e. will allow L1 to read most of the host's APIC state, send arbitrary interrupts, change task priority, and ultimately trivially DoS the host. E.g. sending a self-IPI in L1 on HYPERV_REENLIGHTENMENT_VECTOR, 0xee, with CONFIG_HYPERV=n in the host kernel as a "safe" PoC, yields: Spurious interrupt (vector 0xee) on CPU#425. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/zcrypt: Close speculative mem read possibility The domain value is extracted from a given CCA or EP11 ioctl struct when a CPRB is about to be sent. Thus this is a user controlled value. Under some special conditions (custom device node used, administrative load) this value is used as an array index after bounds checking, but without speculation barrier. Add the missing array_index_nospec() call to prevent speculative execution where this domain value is used.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: Move kvm_io_bus_get_dev() locking responsibilities to callers kvm_io_bus_get_dev() returns a device that is only matched by the address, and nothing else. This can cause a lifetime issue if the matched device is not the expected type, as by the time the caller can introspect the object, it might be gone (the srcu lock having been dropped). Given that there is only a single user of this helper, the simplest option is to move the locking responsibility to the caller, which can keep the srcu lock held for as long as it wants. Note that this aligns with other kvm_io_bus*() helpers, which already require the srcu lock to be held by the callers.
